    D29. Sesame Balls. 3 for $6.

Update: Returned to Best BBQ on Buford Highway inside/next to City Farmers Market. This place still has some of the best dim sum in metro Atlanta, but the dine-in experience continues to seriously lack. You come here purely for the food, not the service or atmosphere. If you want traditional pushcart service, go to a place like Canton House or Royal China. Best BBQ is more ideal for takeout. When it comes to Atlanta, arguably five stars for the dim sum and other Chinese food alone. Here's what four of us got this time: D3. Chicken Feets [sic] ($7) D5. Beef Tripe ($7) D10. Chicken Sticky Rice ($9) D12. Roast Pork Bun ($7) D13. Egg Custard Bun ($6) D16. SiuLong Bun ($7) - xiaolongbao - soup dumplings D18. Radish Cake ($7) D24. Beef Rice Noodle Wrap ($8), add Chinese Parsley ($0.50) D25. Roast Pork Rice Noodle Wrap ($8) D29. Sesame Balls (3 for $6) D32. Chives Dumpling (P.F.) ($9) - pan-fried K47. Fish Cake with Chives Flowers ($24) - includes soup and bowl of white rice Fisherman's Congee ($11) Roast Duck Congee ($13) Everything was fresh and delicious with generous portions. We skipped the line and ordered using the big tablet. Menu descriptions are non-existent, so if you don't know what something is, you're taking a chance. That's what I did with the Fisherman's Congee which turned out to have something I was allergic to (crustaceans). That's okay because the others ate it and I ordered a Roast Duck Congee instead. Yum. Service: Orders are called out on a microphone/speaker and you pick up at the counter. They forgot my chicken feet so I had to go up with my receipt and ask. They pulled their copy from the spike and made it right, with some squabbling among the employees in the process. Everyone had to bus their own tables. One employee cleaned the floor with rags instead of a mop. Not ideal. Overall, the dining room did not feel clean. The restroom was relatively decent, though. Atmosphere: We visited during a peak time, on a Sunday around 12:45 PM. The place was packed. Luckily, we were able to find a table. My wife described the scene as "chaotic." I call it authentic. :)

What in the name? The name saids it all, Best BBQ is what you get when you come here. This is my favorite place for Cantonese style bbq in Atlanta. The meets are always juicy, flavorful and fresh. I love the skin on the crispy pork. I usually get all 3 meats (crispy roast pork, honey bbq pork and roast duck). You get a very generous portion of rice. You can't stop at just having bbq, the dim sum is some of the best in the city. Tofu skin, water chestnut cake, chives dumpling and siu mai are my favorites.

I tried this place again and it was even better than last time. They have an expansive menu, ranging from full dishes to dim sum. I love their dim sum. My favorites are the shrimp dumplings, pork buns, radish cakes, and shumai. Their honey bbq pork dish is also delicious! It was really crowded when we went on an early Sunday afternoon to the point that people were waiting for a table. They do not take reservations so it is first-come-first-serve. You order and pay at the counter and then take a seat wherever is open. They have a self-serve water, tea, condiments, and utensils station, making it easy to grab what you want without waiting on someone.

Great place for Dim Sum. It is inside a grocery store right at the entrance. Not the best ambiance but that is not what I was coming here for. Prices are a little high considering an order of Siu Mai and BBQ Pork Rice Rolls is $16. Not much to say about service as it's a counter service place, and they just call your number when your food is ready. Everything is self serve. They have a station where you can get all your condiments, utensils, and napkins. I've also ordered the Crispy pork rice plate and it was good, but I wish it had more crispy skin pieces. I would order this again.

We had dinner here around 4:20pm today or so. This is located attached to a grocery store inside a strip mall. The inside is unassuming. There's quite a few tables with chairs along with big pictures on the wall of menu items. We ordered six dishes to share between the three of us and it was pretty inexpensive. The food came out sooooo quickly and was delicious!! Would absolutely come back!

Inside the front entrance of City Farmers Market, this casual Cantonese barbecue spot is a total hidden gem. You'll find all the roasted classics -- Peking duck, crispy pork, barbecue pork, soy sauce chicken -- plus a variety of dim sum and Chinese dishes to choose from. The dining area is small and fills up fast, especially on weekends, with a self-service area for water and hot tea. There's also a convenient kiosk if you're paying by credit card (just note the 3% surcharge, or think of it as a small discount for paying cash). I ordered the two-meat barbecue combo over rice ($16) and upgraded to egg fried rice for $2 more -- which was totally worth it. The crispy pork and barbecue pork were excellent, juicy, and flavorful, served with a light potato soup and a tangy pickled radish on the side. The fried rice was eggy, fluffy, and clearly made to order. I also tried the siu mai (pork and shrimp dumplings) from the dim sum menu -- they're $7, but once they arrived, I understood why. Four huge, perfectly steamed dumplings that were fresh, firm and delicious. Weekends can get a little chaotic here, especially since parking is shared with City Farmers Market, but I think it's worth the hassle. I only popped in while running errands and left seriously impressed. Great food, good value, and definitely going into my rotation.

One of our favorite places to get roasted duck. It's always fresh and delicious. Service is always quick, and you can dine in or order take out. Sometimes it's pretty busy inside, but they have a fair amount of seating. They also have dim sum, and a wide selection of other options. Would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Wow I am so glad to have found an authentic Cantonese place in town! Everything is good - just how it should taste like. And the price is so reasonable too - they have you a huge plate for all the dishes. We always end up with lots of leftovers. Highly recommend the dim sums, the meat plates, and the stir fried noodles!! Like many authentic Chinese establishments, the ambience is meh. But it adds to the charm imo.

Let me tell you!!! This food was amazing. Everything ordered was delicious! Amazing portions, very flavorful, decent price point. I think I've found me new Chinese spot. It is worth the drive. They give pickled mustard greens with every order. Next time I'm going to bring home and order of just that. Think Kimchi without the spice. I loved it I love Dim Sum too and this place had the classic old favorites. The size was triple the normal size and you are served 4 pieces. Congee too! Give this place a try. They have something for everyone.

We love best bbq in Duluth a lot but I think we like this location even more. They are located in City Market farmers market. Service is less chaotic and the dining area is nicer though a bit small / crowded. They seem to do a lot of take out business. The food comes out quickly and is well prepared. The dimsum portions are very generous! I really like their shrimp dumplings! My other favorite (at both locations) is pan fried noodles with beef and vegetables. I keep forgetting to take photos of the food before I start eating. It's too good!

    Peggy X.

Great dim sum! This isn't one of those banquet-hall, rolling-cart dim sum spots, and the ambience leans cafeteria / hole-in-the-wall, but the food is delicious, affordable, and comes in large portions. You place your order and pay at the front, and then wait for them to call your number. It's an efficient operation! I'd recommend getting there a little earlier on weekends and during holidays, since the seats fill up fast. Some favorites: the beef tripe, chicken feet, har gow, and tofu skin. We also recently tried the fried stuffed tofu, which was a surprise hit -- will definitely be adding that to the regular rotation. I'd skip the youtiao (fried dough sticks), which were a bit stale, and the sweet egg yolk buns, which had a scrambled-egg consistency on the inside. There's also unlimited black tea on offer in a drink dispenser on the side, which is a nice perk.

    Rachel W.

Things probably taste a bit more fresh in person than takeout, but I felt like while most items were solid, some items fell flat in terms of flavor - mainly the 干炒牛河 was a bit bland and I'm not a fan of how thin the noodles are (I'm used to wider noodles). Something pretty good that surprised me were their 饺子. The filling has a nice ginger flavor and I found it more desirable to eat than the typical dumplings. I'd say my dim sum expectations are high but this place gets the job done. It has all the essentials! Would be interested in checking this place out in person.

Wow wow wow!! What a very unique food place this is my mind was totally blown away by this place & the food everything nice & good I've never in my lifetime tried this type of food be for yes a truly amazing thing & place in Chamblee Georgia

Did Best BBQ stop doing takeouts?

    They still do.

Can someone please post photos of their Dim Sum menu? None of the photos have captured that. Thanks!!

Their dim sum menu is just a picture menu and there are photos of it under the menu tab of the pictures, as I have posted it previously. I'm unable to attach a picture here, sorry.

Do they serve the dim sum menu weekday dinners?

    Yes!

Very good - Beef Chow Fun: A very chewy and bouncy home made flat noodle dish. Savory, salty, and flavorful! Good amount of tender beef too. - Shrimp Balls: Crispy and fried on the outside, yummy, with good big shrimp ball. Yummy classic sweet and sour sauce too. Delicious - Egg Rolls: Good, not too oily, a normal egg roll - Spare ribs: Possibly my favorite dish! Tender, not too chewy, good savory sweet flavor. -- Overall, it's not bad but it's nothing to write home about. My favorite item was probably the spare ribs. The rest were standard in my opinion. I recommend dipping them in their house-made dumpling sauce or black vinegar. They also have other meat options. Har gow (shrimp dumplings) Filled with shrimp paste, bamboo, and dried scallops, has a stronger seafood flavor compared to traditional ones. Pan-fried pork & chive dumplings Crispy on the outside, and you can tell the skin is handmade. The filling is very juicy and lightly seasoned, more of a homemade style. Beef fried noodles -- recommend Yellow egg noodles with black pepper beef and vegetables. Savory with a nice peppery and wok flavor. When you pay you'll be paying with somebody. So the ordering is just to get the order in and not for the full service of ordering and paying. The place itself is located on a side street and there's plenty of parking. There's also parking in the parking structure that is attached to a apartment complex as well. There's also a little back alley that you can park at too, there's ample parking, let's just say that LOL. The place itself is very clean and everybody is really friendly. They have the robot come and bring your food but you will still interact with the staff and they are pretty nice and very pleasant. Street parking Pork and chive dumplings - So the dumplings were really really good. I got them pan fried and they came out tender and yet crispy. The flavor was crazy, and the dumpling sauce was exceptionally good to me as well. I would 100% order these again. Chicken noodle soup - The soup was just okay. I had to do a little doctoring and I tried to get it where I needed to but it was decent but it was a little bit on the bland side. I ended up putting more of the wonton sauce in there to give it a little Tang and a little kick, as well as putting some chili oil in it as well. After that, it started working out pretty well. But on his own, it was decent but it wasn't good out of the box. Pork wonton with chili sauce - So this is kind of like my guilty pleasure. I love chili wontons. With this order you got a lot of them, and the sauce was on the plate and drizzle throughout the dumplings as well. Well so you got flavor at every turn. These were great! Szechuan spicy chicken - Pork soup dumplings - The soup dumplings were pretty good. To me. They weren't better than the chili wontons but they were still good and had a nice bit of flavor to them. The broth in them was tasty, but that kind of overtook meat inside. The broth was so flavorful that you didn't really, really know if you were eating chicken or pork or whatever. But nonetheless, it was still good and you got a nice bitter than for the order. I enjoyed the establishment. Their wontons are really nice sized and they are packed with flavor. I would not go back for the soup or the ramen bowl that they have but I would definitely go back to order five more orders of everything else lol.

I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since it was calculated on the total after tax ($23.07 tip on a $106.80 subtotal). Hubby and I ordered a noodle dish each (him was Seafood and mines were Short Ribs) along with their soup dumplings (that they're known for) and Twisted Cruellers. Food took very long to make, but it's understandeable. Bowls were very big and full. Meats looks good, but the white broth did not look good at all. We took a spoonful of broth to start off with without adding any condiments and OMG...no flavor at all! We were thoroughly disappointed. The meats part were good and tender (though again, no flavor), but most disappointing was that even with condiments, the broth was bland. We kept on saying to each other that we will not order from here again. The noodles were just okay. Nothing earth shattering about it. Twisted cruellers tasted like it was just heated from a frozen one. I didn't get to taste the soup dumplings because we were running late for appt since the foods took so long and had to pack it to-go. I can't really comment on that. I will not order from here again and would like to try the surrounding stalls around it.

They did not skimp on the protein, the bottom of the dish is veggies but I don't mind because I love vegetables and it's still very filling. Food came out pretty quick and the workers were courteous. A great place to get a cheap and tasty meal.

The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. I ordered the crispy chicken with garlic sauce and swapped the white rice for a side of house lo mein (yes, it's an upcharge, but worth it). Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!

It's more like a shopping plaza. Anyway, when you go in, you see a pretty decent sized food court. The inside definitely screams Chinese food court for sure. You got plenty of places to choose from. Hong Kong BBQ is located all the way to the right upon entering. It has a stereotypical see through counter where they hang the cooked ducks, pork and chicken for a passersby to see. The people that work there are friendly and you can either order something to eat and sit down or take it to go. Either way, I suggest grabbing a to go menu if you see it because the website doesn't say what they have. Plus if you get a menu, you can call and order food ahead of time. As for their food. The roast ducks, chicken and pork are definitely good. But that's not all they offer. They have different variety of dishes from vegetables to fried rice. The fried rice and beef chow fun remind me of an old Chinese restaurant my family frequented since I was in grade school. That can very well be one of the biggest compliments I can give.
