Best BBQ I was craving Cantonese BBQ, and where else would I go? Best BBQ. The name pretty much says it all--it's simply the best BBQ. The roast pork and crispy pork are both juicy and flavorful, served over rice. I can't get enough of this; there's so much goodness in every bite. The dim sum is equally as good. The portions are generous. The Tofu Skin Rolls, Sui Mai, and Stuffed Eggplants were all so yummy. The meat in the stuffed eggplant and sui mai is absolutely delicious. A bit of crunch like to the meat and the flavors of the natural ingredients come through just as Cantonese food should. You order and pick up your food at the counter, no frills. No frills, no ambience just good food is what you will get, every time.

Great place for Dim Sum. It is inside a grocery store right at the entrance. Not the best ambiance but that is not what I was coming here for. Prices are a little high considering an order of Siu Mai and BBQ Pork Rice Rolls is $16. Not much to say about service as it's a counter service place, and they just call your number when your food is ready. Everything is self serve. They have a station where you can get all your condiments, utensils, and napkins. I've also ordered the Crispy pork rice plate and it was good, but I wish it had more crispy skin pieces. I would order this again.

We had dinner here around 4:20pm today or so. This is located attached to a grocery store inside a strip mall. The inside is unassuming. There's quite a few tables with chairs along with big pictures on the wall of menu items. We ordered six dishes to share between the three of us and it was pretty inexpensive. The food came out sooooo quickly and was delicious!! Would absolutely come back!

Inside the front entrance of City Farmers Market, this casual Cantonese barbecue spot is a total hidden gem. You'll find all the roasted classics -- Peking duck, crispy pork, barbecue pork, soy sauce chicken -- plus a variety of dim sum and Chinese dishes to choose from. The dining area is small and fills up fast, especially on weekends, with a self-service area for water and hot tea. There's also a convenient kiosk if you're paying by credit card (just note the 3% surcharge, or think of it as a small discount for paying cash). I ordered the two-meat barbecue combo over rice ($16) and upgraded to egg fried rice for $2 more -- which was totally worth it. The crispy pork and barbecue pork were excellent, juicy, and flavorful, served with a light potato soup and a tangy pickled radish on the side. The fried rice was eggy, fluffy, and clearly made to order. I also tried the siu mai (pork and shrimp dumplings) from the dim sum menu -- they're $7, but once they arrived, I understood why. Four huge, perfectly steamed dumplings that were fresh, firm and delicious. Weekends can get a little chaotic here, especially since parking is shared with City Farmers Market, but I think it's worth the hassle. I only popped in while running errands and left seriously impressed. Great food, good value, and definitely going into my rotation.

One of our favorite places to get roasted duck. It's always fresh and delicious. Service is always quick, and you can dine in or order take out. Sometimes it's pretty busy inside, but they have a fair amount of seating. They also have dim sum, and a wide selection of other options. Would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Wow I am so glad to have found an authentic Cantonese place in town! Everything is good - just how it should taste like. And the price is so reasonable too - they have you a huge plate for all the dishes. We always end up with lots of leftovers. Highly recommend the dim sums, the meat plates, and the stir fried noodles!! Like many authentic Chinese establishments, the ambience is meh. But it adds to the charm imo.

Let me tell you!!! This food was amazing. Everything ordered was delicious! Amazing portions, very flavorful, decent price point. I think I've found me new Chinese spot. It is worth the drive. They give pickled mustard greens with every order. Next time I'm going to bring home and order of just that. Think Kimchi without the spice. I loved it I love Dim Sum too and this place had the classic old favorites. The size was triple the normal size and you are served 4 pieces. Congee too! Give this place a try. They have something for everyone.

We love best bbq in Duluth a lot but I think we like this location even more. They are located in City Market farmers market. Service is less chaotic and the dining area is nicer though a bit small / crowded. They seem to do a lot of take out business. The food comes out quickly and is well prepared. The dimsum portions are very generous! I really like their shrimp dumplings! My other favorite (at both locations) is pan fried noodles with beef and vegetables. I keep forgetting to take photos of the food before I start eating. It's too good!

Great dim sum! This isn't one of those banquet-hall, rolling-cart dim sum spots, and the ambience leans cafeteria / hole-in-the-wall, but the food is delicious, affordable, and comes in large portions. You place your order and pay at the front, and then wait for them to call your number. It's an efficient operation! I'd recommend getting there a little earlier on weekends and during holidays, since the seats fill up fast. Some favorites: the beef tripe, chicken feet, har gow, and tofu skin. We also recently tried the fried stuffed tofu, which was a surprise hit -- will definitely be adding that to the regular rotation. I'd skip the youtiao (fried dough sticks), which were a bit stale, and the sweet egg yolk buns, which had a scrambled-egg consistency on the inside. There's also unlimited black tea on offer in a drink dispenser on the side, which is a nice perk.

Wow wow wow!! What a very unique food place this is my mind was totally blown away by this place & the food everything nice & good I've never in my lifetime tried this type of food be for yes a truly amazing thing & place in Chamblee Georgia

Things probably taste a bit more fresh in person than takeout, but I felt like while most items were solid, some items fell flat in terms of flavor - mainly the 干炒牛河 was a bit bland and I'm not a fan of how thin the noodles are (I'm used to wider noodles). Something pretty good that surprised me were their 饺子. The filling has a nice ginger flavor and I found it more desirable to eat than the typical dumplings. I'd say my dim sum expectations are high but this place gets the job done. It has all the essentials! Would be interested in checking this place out in person.

Their dim sum menu is just a picture menu and there are photos of it under the menu tab of the pictures, as I have posted it previously. I'm unable to attach a picture here, sorry.

Do they serve the dim sum menu weekday dinners?

The Canton House on Buford Highway is my family's go-to for authentic Cantonese dim sum in Atlanta…read more The food is always up to expectations each and every visit. Having been at least once every couple months for years, it's our Chinese comfort food as dim sum is meant to be. Although I would recommend arriving at anytime they are open, we find the absolute best time for dim sum is to arrive right at opening on Saturday or Sunday. This time lets us beat the wait, get a great table fast, and the food is super plentiful, hot and fresh out of the kitchen. The chrysanthemum tea is a must have and complements the food as a perfect, tasty, and just sweet enough palate cleanser (although I would prefer to add the rock sugar myself to my tea, they serve it with sugar already inside the pot). For the absolute best pairing with your chrysanthemum tea, make sure to save room for the awesome pineapple buns while supplies last. They were out today and we all collectively cried (will be going back just for the pineapple buns soon...we are just not complete without them!). We love all the dishes, but our absolute favorites (outside of the pineapple buns) are the pork spare ribs with black bean, the beef rice rolls/noodles, shrimp dumplings, and turnip cakes. Add some spicy sauce to the spare ribs and turnip cakes to really set them off! For iced coffee lovers who like it really strong, don't pass up on the iced coffee. It has legs that are strong enough to walk, but completely complements the dim sum with a little extra boost to help you enjoy the day. So, I challenge others to find a better dim sum place in Atlanta. That is why Canton House earns my 5th star and looking forward to getting my pineapple buns (really) soon!

We started with the flower tea, amazing choice! Sweet and warming, nicely aromatic. Perfect start. Then the dim sum carts rolled in and we chowed down. DISHES I ORDERED - Siu Mai: Not the best I've had. Quite oily on the outside, but the flavor isn't bad. It does...taste like siu mai. It's just nothing spectacular - Chinese Broccoli: A classic! Very good - Beef Chow Fun: A very chewy and bouncy home made flat noodle dish. Savory, salty, and flavorful! Good amount of tender beef too. - Shrimp Balls: Crispy and fried on the outside, yummy, with good big shrimp ball. Yummy classic sweet and sour sauce too. Delicious - Egg Rolls: Good, not too oily, a normal egg roll - Spare ribs: Possibly my favorite dish! Tender, not too chewy, good savory sweet flavor. -- Overall, it's not bad but it's nothing to write home about. My favorite item was probably the spare ribs. The rest were standard in my opinion. However, service is fast since it is dimsum, so perfect to eat when hungry! Also great ambiance for big group parties or hangouts!

I recommend dipping them in their house-made dumpling sauce or black vinegar. They also have other meat options. Har gow (shrimp dumplings) Filled with shrimp paste, bamboo, and dried scallops, has a stronger seafood flavor compared to traditional ones. Pan-fried pork & chive dumplings Crispy on the outside, and you can tell the skin is handmade. The filling is very juicy and lightly seasoned, more of a homemade style. Beef fried noodles -- recommend Yellow egg noodles with black pepper beef and vegetables. Savory with a nice peppery and wok flavor. Chili oil wontons Appetizer with shrimp and pork filling, topped with chili oil and dumpling sauce. Szechuan spicy chicken Spicy with a slight numbing kick, best paired with rice. Now that we got that the way, we can start LOL So you come in and sit down and this place is pretty spacious. You would do online ordering, because they have the barcode at the table. Now. When you pay you'll be paying with somebody. So the ordering is just to get the order in and not for the full service of ordering and paying. The place itself is located on a side street and there's plenty of parking. There's also parking in the parking structure that is attached to a apartment complex as well. There's also a little back alley that you can park at too, there's ample parking, let's just say that LOL. The place itself is very clean and everybody is really friendly. They have the robot come and bring your food but you will still interact with the staff and they are pretty nice and very pleasant. Street parking Pork and chive dumplings - So the dumplings were really really good. I got them pan fried and they came out tender and yet crispy. The flavor was crazy, and the dumpling sauce was exceptionally good to me as well. I would 100% order these again. Chicken noodle soup - The soup was just okay. I had to do a little doctoring and I tried to get it where I needed to but it was decent but it was a little bit on the bland side. I ended up putting more of the wonton sauce in there to give it a little Tang and a little kick, as well as putting some chili oil in it as well. After that, it started working out pretty well. But on his own, it was decent but it wasn't good out of the box. Pork wonton with chili sauce - So this is kind of like my guilty pleasure. I love chili wontons. With this order you got a lot of them, and the sauce was on the plate and drizzle throughout the dumplings as well. Well so you got flavor at every turn. These were great! Szechuan spicy chicken - Pork soup dumplings - The soup dumplings were pretty good. To me. They weren't better than the chili wontons but they were still good and had a nice bit of flavor to them. The broth in them was tasty, but that kind of overtook meat inside. The broth was so flavorful that you didn't really, really know if you were eating chicken or pork or whatever. But nonetheless, it was still good and you got a nice bitter than for the order. I enjoyed the establishment. Their wontons are really nice sized and they are packed with flavor. I would not go back for the soup or the ramen bowl that they have but I would definitely go back to order five more orders of everything else lol.

Admittedly this location is in need of a DEEP clean and a major facelift. It's like stepping into a vintage time capsule. But hey, at least there's yummy food inside. Considering that, the prices do not really match the ambience at all in my opinion. However it seems they might have a big staff to support, especially those who make their dumplings and noodles from scratch. I'll pay a lil extra at a takeout spot for the food quality because it's certainly there. The staff has been pleasant enough, which is a nice plus. The pork buns are a great mouthful (I prefer steamed). Same for the soup dumplings. Unmatched in the texture of the dough. I've tried their hand-pulled noodles in a soup as well as a stir-fry and they certainly held their own. The noodle consistency is incredibly dreamy, so much so it has become a craving in my household. I don't like the beef they use as it can be a bit dry but the flavor is really nice. Nothing has been salty so far and the flavor profile is always robust. Numbing spice on deck. Again, the food is a hit. Where this place falls short is appearance and service. It just feels stuck in another century, and not in an endearing way. I ate here once, saw the condition of the restaurant and the health score, and settled on the blissful ignorance of takeout from thereon. The parking lot is rough and an eyesore. Yes, we call it a "hole in the wall" -- it's literally in the basement of an optician and not the flashiest place you'll ever see. But don't judge a book by its cover. The quality of the food is far beyond what the exterior suggests. This is our one and only go-to spot when we need a true Chinese food fix in Atlanta. Simple, no-frills, and all about the food. It's not trendy or polished -- and that's part of the charm. You're here for authentic, bold flavors, not fancy decor. Service is pretty solid, even with the occasional language barrier or when the person hand-making dumplings steps away for a break. Even during peak busy times on previous visits, they've handled things well. One thing we learned the hard way: don't ask them to modify dishes. On a past visit, we asked for a change and they refused to preserve authenticity -- and honestly, I respect that 100% now. Lesson learned: trust the chef and learn to handle the spice! This place is all about explosive, authentic flavors. Our usual star is the Spicy Griddle Cooked Fish Fillet with potato chips, carrot chips, lotus root, and purple yam. It's a full-on flavor bomb -- numbing Sichuan peppercorn heat, bold spice, and perfect for sharing. Absolute showstopper. The Twice Cooked Pork Belly with Cabbage is my new favorite -- juicy, succulent pork paired with crunchy cabbage and an incredible sauce. Just phenomenal. The Black Pepper Beef was flavorful, though this time it leaned a bit heavy on green peppers and lighter on the beef. Still tasty, just slightly unbalanced. The Egg Fried Rice complemented everything beautifully -- and best of all, it wasn't oily. And the Lamb & Zucchini Dumplings? Worth every minute of the wait. Handmade and packed with flavor -- another absolute winner. We can't wait to go back. This is the kind of place you proudly take out-of-town guests -- they'll be blown away and talking about it the rest of their trip. Northern China Eatery never disappoints.

Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!
