Smog test -no appointment needed. Rolled right up. Two beautiful dogs came to greet me, followed by the technician who ushered me right into the bay. I performed a few checks with my OBD tool to confirm preparedness prior to coming, so wasn't concerned about the ability to pass. However, the vibe of this spot and stated guarantee of a free retest was encouraging. Great rate for cash only option. read more

Looking for speedy, trustworthy & reliable smog service? Then this is the place! Lees Auto Smog is run by the most friendliest and honest person I've ever met, James Ryan Cortez. Once you pull into the lot, he'll either have you pull straight into the shop or you'll have to park your car in an available parking spot. After that you'll make your way into the office. He can get your car smogged roughly around 15 -20 minutes. James greets every one of his customers who comes in. He treats every person with the utmost respect and kindness. Even if you're not a customer and you're just a person out on your daily walk on the street, riding your bike, walking your dogs, he'll take the time to wave hello and greet you. Some might even have the chance to have meaningful conversations with the guy! That's the type of person that you'll be dealing with. That's the type of person that I would want to deal with and take my business to. Thanks James! read more

I've been coming to Lee's Auto Smog shop for the past three years, and every visit has been a great experience. The communication is always clear and professional, and they take the time to explain everything so you actually understand what's going on with your vehicle. I really appreciate how they provide helpful information and honest feedback instead of just rushing you through the process. They're reliable, knowledgeable, and always make the whole smog check quick and stress-free. It's nice to have a place you can trust year after year. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a smog shop that values good customer service and transparency. And excellent price! read more

Lee's Auto Smog was a great place to take my car. Conveniently located in my neighborhood, no wait time and he was willing to match the price i got from another shop. Also my check engine light was coming on & off so i was concerned it wouldn't pass. Long story short the mechanic was awesome he did a very thorough visual check and found the problem. Then he fixed it for free!! FYI i believe this is a test only station BUT if your car doesn't pass you don't pay. I will Highly Recommend this place to my family and friends. By the way it Passed. Thanks Lee's Auto Smog read more

This place is quick and efficient. They do not do repairs related to smog cert failures which can be a good thing simply because you know your car genuinely failed and it's not a shop trying to make a few extra bucks. They are honest and sincere and AFFORDABLE. The certificate is included in the price and there is one free recheck if your car fails. All in all I'm thankful to find a business with good ethics and who is customer conscious. In this day and age that is hard to find and honestly... refreshing. Thank you for a good experience! read more

Could not recommend this business more. I bring both of my vehicles here and suggest my friends and family to do the same. Always quick and efficient with a smog test and it is one of those no pass don't pay set ups as well. Simply pull up, speak with James and let him do his thing. He offers a discount if you choose to pay with cash, but also accepts card. Pricing is very reasonable as well. There is seating available inside if you choose to wait the brief time it takes or you could always a stroll since its conveniently located near down town. read more

Called on a Friday afternoon to get pricing for a smog check. If you pay cash, you get a slight discount. We didn't have an appointment but decided to drop in. It was only a 20-minute wait, which was not bad compared to the last time I went (an hour). Quick, easy, and fair pricing. Highly recommend! read more

James the owner of the Lee's auto smog test only was the most friendliest person I have ever met, in this type of auto business servicing. They have a cash discount if you pay cash for the smog test, and it only takes less than 15 minutes. You don't need an appt. I would recommend all my family and friends to James. awesome work!! bring all my family cars here!! he is honest and that means a lot me!! great job!!

The car passsd so I'm happy! The smog check was quick and efficient. The price was as quoted.

I've been Going to the same place in Gilroy for many years until it recently changed hands and thought I would give Lee's a try. There was no one at the shop waiting so I drove right in. Everything was good until he told me how much he was going to charge: $150 for a smog check for my Ford pick up. He claimed it was that high because of the weight. I knew that I had never paid anything near that before and went back to my old smog place. $55 and I was all done. I guess he was trying to make up for a lack of business with insanely high prices. I think that an older gentleman used to work there but I dealt with a younger person. They are definitely not getting any business from me. read more
