The dress had an underskirt, a few layers of tulle, and an overskirt. I expected it to likely be $200 but when I picked it up, it was $455. I had to pay as my daughters prom is this weekend. If I had know it would be this ludicrously expensive, I would have gotten other estimates or even bought her a new dress that didn't need alterations for far less than I paid for alterations. I wanted to support a local business but now wish I had the alterations done at the dress shop where I purchased the dress. I have spoken with the dress shop owner and she said the price I was charged is more than a full wedding dress alteration. So please don't frequent this business unless you want to be price gouged.

This has happened to me on more than one occasion, each time I attributed it to a misunderstanding. After more than two instances, it appears that this is an accepted practice. Beware.

Mr. Chung was friendly and professional--he has been in the business for over 45 years! He promptly attended to her (even though she had not made a reservation or called ahead) and to take the measurements, he provided her with shoes because she forgot to bring hers. A week later, which is so fast for this type of gown, she picked it up and it was perfectly hemmed to "floor length." The stitches on the delicate mesh lining are immaculate and both the outer and inner skirts' hems are even all around. So glad to know we have a reliable and skilled tailor to whom we can take our fancier clothes for alterations!

She listens intently and then her craftsmanship is top notch. I initially made an appointment about a custom dress but ended up getting a Kleinfeld's dress due to personal reasons. Instead of paying New York prices for alteration, I brought my dress to Brittany because there's just something about getting that gut feeling knowing you can trust someone with one of those important life events and one of a kind garments. She ended up doing a French Bustle on my 12-layer dress, adding boning to the top, bringing in the bust, shortening the dress by quite a bit, and switching out the skirts zipper for grommets and ribbon to allow for weight differences if I had any. When I returned for my first fitting, everything was perfect... there was no need for multiple trips, I took my dress home at our 2nd appointment! Talk about efficient and then her flawless work... no one would ever know my dress was altered, it looked like it was made for me specifically. I also had her alter my mother's dress which included shortening and adjusting the top to fit her shoulders better, my mom took her dress home the same day as I did. I can't recommend Brittany enough, seriously, anyone I hear that needs a seamstress especially for weddings, I rave about her customer service and beautiful work. Oh, by the way, her shop is adorable! It's spacious and welcoming, farmhouse chic and she has a bunch of wedding dresses and flower girl dresses available in shop to try on and/or purchase. She worked with me during a global pandemic to ensure that EVERY detail of my wedding dress was exactly what I was looking for. She gave her opinion when I needed it, offered solutions that wouldn't break the bank, and delivered a level of skill and professionalism that far exceeded my expectations. Her work was so pristine my mom even had her MOB dress done by her! I will go back to her for EVERY alteration need I have. I cannot speak highly enough about her!!!!

I asked her to save me the cuttings so I could have someone else make it into a skirt for me and she said she would. On the day of pick up she's completely forgotten and has thrown away the fabric. I'm deeply disappointed because I felt it was a very easy request that she failed to honor. The hemming itself is fine but theres lots of random loose threads I had to trim myself. It's unlikely I would return here.
