I came in asking for a dip powder manicure. Before the dip was applied I asked my tech to leave my nails without the powder. However, he still proceeded to add the dip. After my service, my dip color and top coat started peeling. About ALL of my nails were crooked. I brought this up to the manager and she proceeded to tell me they will not refund me for the crooked nails and that it's "just the top coat peeling". I am a couple days past my appointment and the dip broke off my nail. I am extremely disappointed with the service, especially as a first time client. I am still trying to contact the owner and get refunded for the terrible service and treatment. I asked to speak to the owner multiple times and she still has not gotten me in contact with the owner. I called back and she then says they don't do refunds for any of their mistakes or bad services. read more

Came in again for a spa pedicure! Luckily I got Tony who handled my nails with care! Communication was clear and my wait was minimal. Tony checked, double and tripled checked to ensure the work was done correctly. It was quiet on a Saturday that was busy, everyone was busy working hard but not rushing. I appreciate non rushed work I will be coming back every 2-3 weeks to see Tony... we'll be BFFs soon. lol read more

Left with nails looking like S*#*! Manager smirked several times when I expressed concerns. When I asked for their advice, they just looked confused. I thought they were the experts. I haven't been to get my nails done for a while because of Covid. Went today and found out that there are new owners and some new employees. Today Ryan, gave me a pedicure, nail tips with dipped color. He is personable, funny and did a great job. He certainly took his time and paid a lot of attention to detail. She always goes above and beyond what I ask for and has never failed to amaze with me with her amazing, precise work. Worst experience for a basic manicure and pedicure. Seemed I had someone with no experience. They basically washed my hands and feet and put polish on them. Well I had to wash my own hands. Barely knew how to clean the cuticle and when she finally finished after 40 minutes she told me to wash my hands like I had acrylic. Didn't clean under the nail or brush. Then took almost 30 minutes to polish. I finally got frustrated after I assume the owner kept coming over and asked her to polish. I was there 2 hours. They were busy scamming for upcharges. They were pushing the no chip polish for $15 per feet and hands when I said I wasn't interested the lady doing my manicure tried to act like my polish was no chip like she couldn't get it off. I asked her if she needed me to do it. What nail salon doesn't have ordinary quick dry top coat. The polish was old and my hands and feet were a mess. I didn't care I had to get out of there before I lost it. They were walking around acting like they couldn't understand what I was asking or saying. I rarely leave reviews but maybe they will see this and focus on good service versus hosing everyone for $$. People are there to spend money but the service needs to warrant the prices. Thought things were fine showed him my dress and he picked a color. I said I wanted gel and he kept insisting that I do dip when I was trying to make it clear that I wanted gel cuz dip is too thick. He put the color on and it looked different than it was before so I asked him about it and he said it would look lighter once it was done. As we continued later it still was looking the same he had filed the nail down on the bed and it looked a little bit lighter but it was looking greenish now not the blue that I needed for my dress. So I had asked him if we could do a different color and I thought it was establish. He said something about I won't have time today. So I was like okay but he continued to work on my nails so I was very confused as to what was happening. I thought he was maybe going to finish my nails how they were and let me come back next day maybe? I asked are we going to do these nails (blue ones I actually need) and he said no I don't have time. Sir?? I was like okay but I don't want this color. He got so mad and was furiously filing at my nails. Now he very easily could and should have said I know I understand but you can come back tomorrow and I will fix for now I can't let you leave with this not done. He got frustrated by me being frustrated with the color and needing to get to other customers. Like he literally had taken my hand and cut my long nails down to these (I had almond before so not even leaving with the right shape) said I can't help you go somewhere else. Yeah so everything you read about the bad reviews are 100% correct. I got my nails done on a Friday, I got the powder dip done and if anyone has ever gotten it done (right) you know that stuff does NOT peel off. I get that over the no chip... by the next day I did dishes and the stuff started pealing off! Not only that the lady doing it kept jerking my hand around and telling me to relax. REALLY??? I wasn't even moving. And she was wearing a mask over her nose/mouth and coughed the ENTIRE TIME I WAS SITTING THERE. THE ENTIRE TIME PEOPLE. OK DISGUSTING. I wanted to get up and leave & that has NEVER happened to me. I will NEVER go back to this place again... Just totally rude. Shop is small and honestly just dirty and disgusting. I've gone to this salon probably four times now, and my opinion is that this salon is very hit or miss. Part of the problem may be that there only ever seem to be two employees, the owner and one tech. So if you are one of two customers in there at a time, your experience will be great: their pedicures are relaxing and thorough, the full set never hurts and it lasts a long time without chipping or lifting, and the employees are kind. When they have time to devote to you, they do a great job. But once a third customer shows up (or if you are that 3rd customer), things go sour quickly. The owner and the tech will yell at each other (not English) presumably telling the other one to hurry up. They will try to convince the newcomer to stay because the wait will only be 15 minutes, but the wait is never that short. When people start leaving because of the wait, the owner and the tech start yelling at each other more, any sense of relaxation is gone for the customer. They should hire at least one or two more people so they don't get so overwhelmed. read more

Started scraping the nail bed without even a presoak, then soaked my hands in super hot water; used the clippers on my nails and was careless so cut my skin as well. I asked to work with somebody else and that person put on nail polish that failed to cure so had to be removed by me the next day. I've had decent manicures here before, but the last 2 were painful. Attempted to create a moment by taking 2 adult daughters and 1 emerging princess (age 7) for a mani/pedicure hangout. The ownership of the place has changed hands again and services are grossly lacking. Although there was only one customer when we got there, we found their was little interest in providing good service. They spoke up each other in their language exclusively, carrying on lengthly conversations with each other and not with us, as the client in front of them. I've been a patron of the business for 20 years but recently changed because of the decreasing service. We went this time because my new place did not have appointment until later in the evening. The pedicures are glorified foot bath with previous steps now eliminated and upcharge for the soaking salts (yes, $5 more for a spinkle). In all, there was an additional fee for the nails (they said was a polish cost for one daughter and something they couldn't explain for the other). My pedicure and basic manicure was so bad that I'm not sure if these people are even trained, certified or visually able to do this work (really). Keeping the high road, we tipped them well and reminded ourselves that this is not the place for us to patronize. Cost was 180.00 for services (minus tipping). I'm now scheduling to get a real pedicure at the place I should have gone to in the first place. read more

This is probably one of the worst nail salons in Bolingbrook. My mother and I went in around noon and were greeted by this lady EATING CORN ON THE COB. She spoke to us with food in her mouth and instructed us to have a seat after we pick our colors. We took our time considering the place was practically empty. Again, the lady urged us to pick a color (from their terrible selection) and sit down, so we hurried up and sat down. We sat down and weren't asked which service we wanted, so we told them. The pedicure included a lavender soak and a hot towel wrap. No lavender was added to mine nor my mothers tub. We sat down as they prepped our feet. The same corn yielding lady sat down in front of me to do my pedicure, swishing kernels through her mouth (I don't even think she washed her hands but she wore gloves, at least). She used the end of a metal nail file to clean my cuticles. I was so stunned but stayed because I really wanted to see how this would go down. This lady was rough and nasty. She continued and started arguing with me that I needed to choose a darker color because my nails were stained from the gray polish before. I told her I didn't care, please use the pink color. So she continued. She chipped away at my cuticles and I swear almost tore my pinky toe off. She was so aggressive that I had to let her know that this fricken hurts. But we continued. She scrubbed my legs with some orange stuff the gave me a lazy foot rub. I rolled my eyes, I really just wanted the hot towel wrap. She then walks over to the little hot towel oven and grabs two washcloth sized towels and throws them on top of the little oven then brings them over and WIPES MY LEGS WITH THE TOWELS-NO WRAP, NO NOTHING. At this point I am incredibly impressed by how terrible this place is, but it gets worse. Finally, we finished up. I walk over to the little drying station. She asks me for payment and I hand her my card. Of course, their card machine stopped working. She told me and my mom that we can go to the Jewels to get cash. We said no, we will go the Chase to get cash. She started arguing that one of us needed to stay while the other gets cash, umm no? It isn't our fault that your machine is down. I offered to leave my ID as some form of collateral. But she continued arguing, and I continued drying my toes. Eventually, the machine starts working. Every guest in the salon seemed to look super annoyed with this lady, but whatever. The man swiped my card like 3 times in the machine, and 3 times my card was charged. He assured me that the payment would be refunded, we'll see about that. Overall this salon is dirty, the service is terrible, polish selection sucks, and the quality of work was mediocre. Poor customer service. Do not get me wrong, I have been to this place a couple of times, there are a couple of nice nail technicians too. But some are really rude and would not even look at customers when they come in. I was waiting for 30 mins, then I nicely asked the lady how long the wait would be becase I am planning to head to Target to get a drink then come right back. The lady frowned at me and just shouted "we close at 7pm!!" I was taken aback, said "oh okay" then left the place. Take note it was only 5pm when this happened. The nail salon behind this place, the one right by T-Mobile has much much nicer people. I think it's called Model Nails. Give it a try and you wont regret it! I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. Disgusting is putting it nicely. You walk in the front door and the first thing you notice is a desk with a clipboard to write your name on. The desk is dusty and has fingerprints all over it. I was able to look past that because they do a lot of filing being a nail salon. Their selection of nail polish needs help. They are all half gone and look very old. There aren't that many good colors to choose from either. The pedicure was good but I was not to convinced that the tools they came out of the back with were actually sterilized. While sitting in the pedicure chair I noticed the fish tank which also was covered with dust and the water was murkey. I started to look at things and every thing I looked at was dusty. Even inside the cabinets!!! I have never seen such a dirty nail salon before. I can't understand how this place is even open. So on top of all that the workers are the rudest nail techs I have ever came across. Especially the man that works there. I guess he works but all I seen him do was watch tv, play on his computer and be rude to customers who were coming in for their services. The guy could hardly understand me and never followed directions on how to do my pedicure and then failed to notice that he had not done my nails right and i kept pointing it out but he didnt stop. A girlfriend and I went to this salon. She had a previous terrible experience here, but we decided to try it again because it was a last resort. I wanted to get my acrylics removed and a no chip manicure and she wanted to get a full set. We sat in our designated seat and the process began... It took 3 employees to figure out I wanted to get my acrylics removed. Finally, someone came and started to stoke them off. During the process I was cut 3 times and they not only filed off my acrylics, but also most of NAIL!! My girlfriend sat across the room and it took the staff 30 MINUTES to figure out she wanted acrylics and not a manicure. After all of the acrylic was removed off my nails, I was in so much pain. The woman actually managed to make my fingernails look crooked. As the process continued, she used items I was no familiar with. Also, I had to keep my hands in the dryers for five minutes EACH COAT. By the end of this terrible experience, my hands were so dry and my skin CRACKED. As I turned around to check on my friend her nail color was see through and the man was arguing with her over what she said when we walked in. He had also managed to cut her as well.
