I'll keep this short. Just as the other 2 poor reviews, I've left 3 messages over a week and no response or follow up.

They have plenty of life guards in duty during rec swim and I do feel like they are actually paying attention. The locker room is tiny so my family and I rinse off under the outdoor showers and change at home. The concession area could have better treats but my son has never complained. Haha. It would also be great if there was more shade to sit under.

My five year old wore his little puddle jumper life jacket (although they do not allow water wings alone). There were lifeguards at specific points all over the place and they were rotating out regularly which gave me the impression that people lifeguards were staying alert and watching over kids well. I can tell this place was very well staffed and moving like a well-oiled machine. The concession stand was affordable and the worker had a great attitude. Great job to City of Roseville Parks and Rec! Looking good!! We had a blast! Side note, The showers in the women's locker room were taped off with caution tape and the area looked like it could use an update. But we came for the pool, water slide, and spray ground and it all looked perfect!

Even though the party time window is a bit short, I do appreciate that they have the option to shut the place down for private events. They also provide a private party room for your group to use, which is really convenient. The indoor pool is actually warm (which I truly appreciate, because I've been to plenty of places that claim their pools are "warm" when they definitely are not). There's also a section where kids have to pass a swim test to receive a bracelet, which allows them access to the deeper area and the inflatable play zone. There are plenty of lifeguards on duty, so it always feels safe, and they provide life jackets as well. All kids are required to wear approved life vests while in the water. I also like that there are showers right by the pool, along with doors that lead directly into the men's and women's locker rooms and bathrooms. It makes it easy to enter and exit from both the indoor and outdoor areas, although parents should definitely keep an eye on their kids since there are multiple exit points. One thing to note is that they're pretty strict about party timing. If you go over your allotted time, they may not always remind you, but they will charge you afterward. I really wish they had separate designated party time and swim time, because it can feel rushed trying to fit everything in at once. Overall, it's a nice place to take the kids. They also offer swim lessons and other programs, which is a plus. The only downside is that some of the front desk staff seem young and occasionally don't have clear answers to specific questions. This wasn't our first visit and definitely won't be our last.

I feel like I'm swimming in a greenhouse when the roof is closed. I love not having to wear sunscreen, a hat, or sunglasses, but some people still might. So many water fitness classes offered here! There are multiple classes Monday to Friday. Only 1 class on Saturday and Sunday, but that's still pretty good. You need to get a wristband for each water fitness class. The most popular and biggest class is the Hydro Fusion class held MWF 10:30 am and TR 9:05 am. You can start getting a wristband for this class 1 hour ahead of time. I've also enjoyed the Shallow H20 Fit classes and the Monday night Aqua Yoga class. I don't think you can reserve a swim lane. You just hope for an empty lane, stay in your half lane if you have to share with 1 other swimmer, or circle swim if there are 3+ swimmers in a lane. If you need to move between lanes, staff wants you to swim under the lane dividers. They are afraid the lane dividers can't hold the weight of a person. There are so many lifeguards! Sometimes during class or if you're in the middle pool lanes, it feels awkward seeing them loom over you. They're ready to rescue you! There are swim programs for kids. For Easter, there is a floating egg hunt! For Halloween, there is a floating pumpkin patch. https://www.roseville.ca.us/government/departments/parks/programs_classes/fitness/ Look under Mike Shellito Indoor Pool, Fitness Schedules, and Memberships for details. Very affordable, especially if you are a resident of Roseville. You can pay for a monthly membership, buy a 10 or 20 visit punch card, or just drop in. Every January, there is a punch card promo to get you exercising: Buy 10, Get 5 free visits. The cool thing about the punch card or daily drop-in is that you can attend as many classes at any of the 3 Roseville exercise facilities (Mike Shellito, Mahany Fitness Center, Maids Community Center) that day! This is the daily class schedule: https://groupexpro.com/schedule/788/?view=new I had some bad luck when I initially tried out evening classes with last-minute cancelations or no shows. I waited over a year to try my first evening class. Bring your own towel and lock for the locker room. Only 4 shower stalls inside the locker room. Many people just rinse off and head home in their swim parkas. I also bring my own bag for the wet clothing and swimsuit. There's only 1 type of shampoo/body wash foam, so you might want to bring conditioner. No paper towels in the restrooms, just hand dryers. Leave time to park, check in, use locker room, and grab your weights and noodle before class. Pool closes between 1:15 pm and 3:45 pm Mon to Thu. On Fri, it's closed between 1:15 pm and 6:35 pm. Sat and Sun stays open until 4 pm with no midday closure. If you enjoy swimming or aqua fit classes or water therapy, I highly recommend Mike Shellito.

It's very easy to combine training here with life with a newborn or a toddler. There's a wonderful kids' room and a caring team that takes great care of the little ones, so parents can relax, train, and focus on restoring their bodies with peace of mind. The spa area is excellent. There used to be a eucalyptus park that instantly made you fall in love the moment you stepped inside. Unfortunately, it's no longer in use, but the steam room is still absolutely fantastic. There are also great outdoor summer slides and pools for children. Of course, after so many years of visiting this fitness club, it would be nice to see some updates -- renovations, new features, or refreshed spaces. The kids are already very familiar with everything, and it's not as exciting for them anymore. Overall, Villasport remains a fantastic fitness club that meets all essential standards, in my opinion. The group classes are excellent -- special thanks for Body Pump! Incredible trainers and an outstanding class. Highly recommended

I kept asking the coaches, "Are you sure she's going to be able to swim enough to be on the team?" They kept reassuring me that she'd be keeping up with the others in no time. Three weeks after the swim practice started, I stood at the side of the pool in disbelief, as my little darling jumped in the deep end, swam freestyle with proper breathing technique, and made it to the other end of the pool! As I stood there cheering for her with tears streaming down my face, I realized that almost all activity on the pool deck had stopped as all the parents and kids stopped to cheer my daughter on in her huge accomplishment! I understood the commitment and chose to move forward because of the convenience of the location near my home. Unfortunately, my experience as a member has been disappointing from the start. Getting basic information has been exhausting -- phone calls go unanswered, emails don't go through, and when I finally reached someone, I was told the club is somehow "separate" from the swim team while also connected to it. Most of what I've learned has come from navigating the website myself or asking other swim team parents, who have honestly been more helpful than the staff. Communication overall has been poor. I constantly receive emails asking for donations and fundraising support for facility renovations, yet Imsomehow important weekly updates and member information emails don't come through. For the cost, the value also feels questionable. Membership dues are higher than many gym memberships, yet the amenities are limited to a pool, and tennis courts. On top of monthly dues, I was still required to pay separately for my daughter to attend a school field trip hosted at the club. The atmosphere also feels very exclusive and cliquish. Many of the board members appear to be friends, family, or married to one another. I was sold on the idea of joining a welcoming "community," but I have not felt welcomed at all. Whenever concerns are raised, the response is usually "I'm new" or "we have a new system," with very little effort made to actually address or resolve the issues. Overall, this has not been the positive community experience that was promised.

    Liquid FX Pools

It's been a few years since Liquid FX built my pool (during the Pandemic). Given that enough time…read morehas passed to gauge the build quality and their responsiveness to any issues and warranty calls, I figure it's time for a review. They did a good job and built what exactly what I wanted. Here's the run-down on the details: Sales and Design Process Our sales person/designer and Mike, the owner, were both great. They had excellent ideas and advice, didn't try to force us into building something they've built before, were open to anything we wanted to do, and were responsive. They were creative and very excited about the design process and clearly wanted to build something cool. Five stars. Responsiveness and Reachability This is where Liquid Fx really shines. Not only can you call their main number, but they give you nearly everyone's cell numbers. When something goes wrong or you have a question, they immediately pick up or answer your text and address the issue. I appreciated this. Five stars. Scheduling of Workers and Subs This was good. There was a week or two when not much, if anything, went on. A few things slipped through the cracks here and there or had to be rescheduled at the last minute. But, for the most part, they stayed on schedule. Probably wasn't easy for them during COVID. Four stars. Project Management I must have heard four or five times from an employee or sub, "I wish someone had told me that." That's not something I wanted to hear. From having the wrong plans on site the first day of the dig, to things that we agreed on that weren't in the final plan, to forgetting to re-route the drainage and lay some irrigation pipes prior to pouring concrete, to scheduling the final inspection prior to re-installing the fence, there were a number of issues that better project management and internal communication would have prevented. But, to their credit, they remedied everything and made everything right. Three stars. Project Inspection / Quality Control During Build Things started out great here, but fell off as the build went on. A handful of things were either not installed, installed wrong, or missed. And these things weren't discovered until well after the pool was built and filled. A thorough inspection by a project manager/inspector would have prevented these things from being issues. But, again to their credit, everything was fixed with a call or text. Three stars. Quality of Subs Their subs were all polite, hard-working, and most (except for the initial wall-builders) kept a clean jobsite. The concrete sub, a father-and-son team, were especially great. They did exquisite work, were very flexible with design changes during the process, and were a pleasure to work with. Four stars. Making Things Right I don't know what I can say that I didn't already say. They stood behind their work, were responsive to issues, and I ended up with a fantastic pool that is exactly what I wanted. Five stars. Warranty and Requests After the Build You really don't get to know if the pre-sale sincerity of a contractor is the real thing until after the build is done and they have your money. When our heat-pump died during the warranty period, an upgraded model was promptly installed. When a part failed in the system after the warranty, Nick and his crew not only diagnosed the problem and fixed it for no-charge, they spent a great deal of time and effort reengineering it so it was better than the manufacturers design, ensuring that I wouldn't have the same problem again. I appreciate that they stand behind their work and it didn't take herculean efforts to get things resolved. Five stars. The Bottom Line I love my pool and was generally happy with the process. My advice to anyone hiring Liquid Fx (or any pool contractor, for that matter) is to stay on top of things, educate yourself about the process and the products they're installing, check their work, inspect your own project daily, and let them know promptly when something isn't right. If you have a contractor like Liquid Fx that stands behind their work, they'll make sure they get it right and you'll get exactly what you wanted. If I had to do it all over, would I hire Liquid Fx again? Yes, I would.

Out of the hole came rust which stained the pool. I called Liquid FX about the problem, it has now been two weeks with no information about fixing the pool and the company now does not return my calls. I feel they are now just ignoring me. I now am in the process of getting bids to repair the pool and will be filling a small claim case against them as soon as I get estimates. In my estimation this is not a way to run a company and now I am in the process of seeking relief thru the court system. I cannot now recommend this company. I got a call from the owner this morning. He stated that he has been out town for two weeks but they will be out soon to look at the problem.
