My Leaf Filter screens plug up with debris from trees. The rainwater flows over the debris without falling into the gutters. It's the same as having plugged up gutters. When the salesman examined my house for a quote and saw that I had trees in my yard, he should have told me that Leaf Filter would not work for me. Awful experience with the LeafFilter North team. We were supposed to have wedges installed so my gutters sit flat with my roof. They were on the contract as well as the order form. However, there were no wedges installed. The man stated they were not on the order. We did not pay the crew as the job was not complete. After looking at the installation the next day, we see there are more problems than just the lack of wedges. The downspouts don't come down to the ground. Matter of fact, two of them sit ON TOP of my foundation with nothing to pull the water away from it. I'm no expert, but that seems as though it defeats the purpose of gutters. Next, we were insured that this install would not touch our roof or shingles as that voids the roof warranty. My shingles are lifted in SEVERAL places as well as straps nailed into my roof. We NEVER gave permission to have anything nailed into our roof. I had seven downspouts installed. Two of them work. Unfortunately, it's the two that sit on top my my foundation. The others don't collect any water because they sit flush with the roof. The others leak where the downspout bends. So much for that "50-year leak-resistant silicone." The inspector who came to my home laughed all the way through the inspection and repeatedly said "this is not our work" and he was embarrassed to be wearing a LeafFilter shirt. He was very nice and attentive. He took several pictures and assured me there would be a new crew who "knew what they were doing" coming to do the install the next week. A very nice two-person crew came Monday morning and they were not thrilled with the work they saw. They fixed the problems we had and discovered our downspouts were NEVER SEALED. They didn't have the downspout extenders we were supposed to have so they went to Home Depot to purchase them and came back and installed them. After that, the job looked significantly better and the crew was paid. However, the next time it rained, I discovered that TWO of the downspouts weren't sealed. Again. Not only that, but there is a hole in the back of the gutter that goes across my front porch that was never sealed so it leaks right in front of my walkway. A tech is scheduled to come out on 9/27. Let's hope this is the last time I need to interact with this company. I do not recommend, nor will I EVER recommend this company to anyone. Terrible experience with LeafFilter. I would absolutely avoid this company as they are not trustworthy. They will create a media disinformation on how good the company and their products are. It's a scam at the market level. Their price is outrageous, but you can play game with them and they will drop their price by nearly 80%. Remember, this is a gutter protection product and can't be more expensive than the gutter itself. They are a lot of people paying excessively where what they pay could install the entire gutter system twice over. The google search would tell you the average cost of LeafFilter which is outrageously high. For a similar stainless steel mesh guard, you wouldn't even pay $500 for 200 linear foot. I admit that I was a sucker to install LeafFilter and got a 75% discount from their initial price. But the installers didn't show up on the day they promised. It was a pretty windy day. LeafFilter claimed that they had their crew at my house and the roof was too tall and their ladder wasn't long enough. I have a video camera in front of the house and we wouldn't have missed them. I ran into Lowes for some supplies and ran into a Leaf Filter rep. We exchanged some pleasantries and I expressed that I needed to replace my gutters that had been damaged in a hurricane. I had removed them and simply needed new seamless gutters. He told me they also installed gutters. So I provided my contact info to discuss it. MISTAKE. They called and called and called. I couldn't take their call because I was cooking at the time. When I finally did take their call, it was all a pressure cooker. I couldn't even describe what I was interested in. It was just straight to making an appointment. I kept telling the guy that I was calling for information and he kept ignoring that. He just wanted an appointment. Each time I tried to explain what is I was interested in, he would just interrupt and insist on an appointment. I finally interrupted him and told him that I understood he was in sales but he couldn't listen to what I was trying to explain that I was just going to end the call now. It was clearly a personality inconducive to a positive experience. Take notes Leaf Filter... if your people can't listen, they'll never earn the trust of a client/buyer. I'm a project manager. I had a LeafFilter sales person come to my home, and he sold me their gutter system, along with gutters for my shed, and some new downspouts. I was pleased with that interaction. We signed a contract on the spot, and had a loan approved and ready for the work to be done. Fast forward to the install date. No one showed up. I tried calling support and was told someone would call me back that day or the next. No one did. I called support again. I was told the same thing, and finally someone called back. He apologized and said that the price had increased, and that they couldn't honor the contract. I challenged that, since the contract stated that either party had only three days to back out, otherwise the contract was binding. Since no one had communicated to me, and the job was not actually cancelled, I felt they were bound to their agreement. He agreed, and said he had to get some approvals and would call me back the following day. He never did. I called him back, and it went to a voicemail with no name, and said the voicemail box was full. I called support again. They are escalating this up to management, and will have them call me back. This is probably the worst customer support I've received from a company. First, they mess up and underbid a job. Then they fail to cancel the job. Then they fail to follow-up with the customer after being reached out to. Just awful! I was excited to get the filters on our gutters and the salesperson was very persuasive. As our home really needed this service - we had a leak in our gutter in our living room which sometimes leaked inside - we were happy they could come out so soon. BUT, the workmanship was shoddy, they didn't deliver on their promises, especially the one to clean out the gutters before applying the filters. After they were done, the gutters were still dirty, they didn't match up any of the trim and our leak is still there. I had an appointment twice for someone to come out and both times they were no shows. They have been completely unresponsive to me after I sent them videos. Needless to say - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Terrible product, terrible customer service and terrible workmanship. Sold a bill of goods by the pushy salesman, Clark. Bought the product, along with new gutters. We're getting close to retirement and want to fix/upgrade all we can. First, we couldn't communicate with the installation crew due to language barrier - very poor customer service. Then, when they 'finished', they had to show us a leaking elbow, stating it was manufacturing defect. FINALLY, got them to replace with one that didn't leak. THEN, the long run on the front of the house was bellied and the gutter was a little warped. THEN, we found a roofer a installed drip edge incorrectly, and the gutters should not have even been installed due to this issue. In other words, if my car wheel rim is cracked, you don't just put a new tire on it and hope for the best. Communication sucks, at best! They are more interested in getting a couple hundred bucks from us, after we paid them over 8K, to remove the gutters so the roofers can come back and do their repairs....again, the gutters should not have been installed on top of damaged or incorrectly installed infrastructure. They're very good about calling for that money, but Sean will not return a call after he left a voice mail for us. He originally quoted us $6,000 dollars for the entire house of gutters, when we stated that the price was out of our budget, he quickly gave a " sign contract today" price of a little less then $4,240.. This was still more then we expected to pay, so he called his boss and he came back with a price of $1800.00.. Of course that was more like what we were thinking considering Lowes sells their gutters at about this lower price and they have private installers... The Salt Lake City sales agent Tim Pelca came to our house while I was gone and used repeated false pricing information and manipulative high pressure sales to pressure my partner into signing a $1,000 buyers agreement to install gutter protection on our house before he would leave. Worse then a sleezy used car salesman these guys will bait you into coming inside your home for a "10 min" appraisal review and then will not leave until they wear you down to signing something. The only way to cancel this agreement is to mail them a written notice of cancellation of service within 72hrs. There is no way to cancel online and the website is not working. Buyer beware! I had to have them come out multiple times after install. They did damage to my house. When putting on gutter they used straps to attach to roof, they drilled holes and left them exposed. Thank God I had a roofer who was doing maintenance on metal roof noticed the exposed holes ripped up the facia screws not screwed into anything just exposed. What a nightmare cost $ 9393.00. Went with LeafFilter to get a professional install but the first day they were installed my brother inspected and the gutters were not even pitched! First call back to have them come back out and then multiple other calls from leaks etc. Finally just gave up and buyers remorse paid the 9393.00 off and will never do business with them again. I called Leaf Filter Denver office for a free quote of Gutter Guards on my new existing gutters. The salesman tried shaking me out of as much money as he could. He started at near 6000.00 then dropped to about 4600.00 then 3400.00. All too expensive for me. My existing gutters only cost 1400.00 to install. Finally I said I would not pay more than 2000.00 and he said he could do that. (As long as I didn't tell any neighbors what I paid... give me a break) What a shyster! He also told me the lifetime warranty covered acts of god. I specifically asked about hail damage. And he said absolutely. They would repair or replace at no cost. Later after installation I was handed a copy of the warranty and Hail and Storms are NOT covered. Warranty is void! So he flat lied to me. If you are in Southern Colorado beware of Leaf Filter. They try to rip you off for maximum dollars and at least my sales man totally lied to me about the life time warranty. I called their office to ask about the warranty and they confirmed I was lied to. A manager was suppose to call me the next business day.... and you guessed it.... I never heard from him. My experience with LeafFilter could have been better from the high-pressure sales to the fact that they sent the local contractor to do the job. When the contractor showed up, he told me I should replace the front gutter, which I did for an additional $400 cash, on top fo the $5600 the company charged. At the end of the job, considering the clause, I expected to see well-graded chute on my house. This was not the case; the channels are not adequately angled for drainage. We have now had all the issues that all the negative reviews are relaying. Started out with very personable sales rep, product looked superior and install was a week earlier than expected. That is all the positive we have. After sending an installation team of one middle aged slight man and an even smaller middle aged woman (who said they were from Louisiana installing here), they arrived at 10:30am, took an hour to get started, yanked all the old gutters off with a crow bar instead of pulling out the spikes to avoid damage, were to fill in holes left from the spikes which my husband had to keep any eye on that they were doing (he is a life long construction person so he was checking on them periodically..he has installed gutters himself in the past). This install was November 15, 2023 and it is now getting dark very early...like 4:45pm. They were just getting at installing the leaf filters and were installing them with head lamps on in the dark and finished at 6:45pm, totally dark. They advised that we were supposed to pay them and my husband said there was NO way. He wanted someone to come by in the daylight the next day to go over the install with him before we paid for anything. They left, next day we called the Installer Manager and my husband was now livid after he, at 79 years old, went onto the roof and all around the house with a ladder inspecting the install and it was not even close to what we had been explained and demonstrated. At this writing, we are still waiting on someone (after calls from us) to return a call/text and come by and take a look at what was NOT done correctly. Nevermind that the leaf filter was not installed properly but there are several other issues as well. Apparently there was no plan to have someone from the company walk thru the job to make sure their customer, us, was happy before making payment. We can only imagine the hell we would be having if we had made payment and then tried to get them to come out and fix things; but at this point, we still have their money and you who mentioned them starting out big price then discounting, that happened with us too. Now I could kick myself for not reading the reviews first but my husband was so impressed with the sales rep and you see Leaf Filter everywhere, tv, social media, mail flyers, internet ads so we felt it had to be legitimate. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! 5 snow storms following installation resulted in freezing the screen covers, which led to H2O over topping the gutter, causing icicles on the gutters, followed by freezing water over 2 stories of deck below. H2O also splashed on the wooden siding and wooden doors and windows. All within 2 weeks of install. Multiple calls to negotiate a removal & partial refund (we offered to cover $250 labor) with a firm "no" from David Moore. Failed to appear on 2 subsequent scheduled appointments. Other issues: NO clearing of downspouts, Gutters NOT leveled - H2O still pooling in gutters, 4 of 5 ends of filters NOT sealed to prevent insects, birds and small animals from entering. ALL these things were specified in our contract. BTW, I took MANY pix. Without doubt THE most unprofessional, high pressure sales tactic firm. Do your homework - they have a terrible rating on various BBB, FTC, AG and other ratings sites. This is one of the worst products you can buy. Leaves get stuck on top of the gutter guard causing the gutters to clog from the outside. Rain overflows and does not allow the water to enter the gutter. When you call them to come and clean the gutters, they jerk you around. They give You a date and a window between 5 hours and you wait for them and they never show up. When you call them back and ask them why no one showed up, they can't answer you. They than tell you they will have someone call you and they never do. They sell you a bag of goods. They warranty the product never to clog your gutters for life Or Your money back. That's a crock. I had a good experience with Leaf Filter. The sales rep (Aaron) was thorough, and he gave us a genrous military discount, too. What surprised me was the life time guarantee. You don't find that kind of service by many companies out there today. The price for the Leaf filter guards on my home was surprisingly affordable as it was a large 3-story lake house. The crew was professional and only two items needed to be done once the crew left, both of them minor. I had a leaf filter system installed in our home. After the initial sticker shock, the system was installed anyway. It performed as promised. WARNING: regarding the lifetime transferrable warranty: IF YOU ARE THINKING THAT YOU MIGHT NEED A NEW ROOF SOON. Don't buy the system at that time. If the roof gets installed AFTER the system, you either have to pay LEAF FILTER $1,100 to uninstall/reinstall the system to keep the warranty in tact OR if your roofer will work around the system, you still have to have LEAF FILTER come to your home and inspect the system (pay $104) to make sure all is still in place. Of course if the inspector finds things wrong you will have to pay LEAF FILTER to fix the filter system properly, not to mention, the roofer might not want to work around the system because it might effect the quality of the roof work. UPSHOT: The condition is in the small print of the contract, but we don't always read the small print. Any how, it cost me a surprise expense to keep the warranty in tact. If you don't follow the contract rules, and you sell the house, the warranty goes bye-bye for the new owners. Sour grapes. read more

I'm at the age that I shouldn't be up on a ladder cleaning gutters, so I purchased a Leaf Filter gutter system in March 2023. Due to improper installation the system caused basement flooding 3 times; it would have been more if we had not kept a sump pump in the window well and scooped out water as fast as the water overflowing from the gutter system draining into the window well each time it rained, and we all know how much it rained in Denver last year. Despite multiple complaints and visits from their technicians, the problem persisted, forcing me to endure weeks of inconvenience, sleepless nights, and thousands of dollars in damages. The issues with the improper installation were not fixed until August 2023. My biggest concern has been mold growing in between the walls, insulation and in the carpet. I care for my elderly parents in our home; their health and safety are my priority. After months of correspondence and promises of upper management calling to discuss issues and provide information for next steps to submit a claim, other than a generic 'get bids for repairs' from the local manager. BTW upper management never called. So, finally in April of 2024 I filed a claim for damages totaling over $17,000 but faced resistance from the customer relationship manager and the regional manager. Even with clear video and photos showing how the system failed; some of which were provided by their own tech of before and after repairs. The regional manager and customer relationship manager denied responsibility of Leaf Filter citing unrelated issues. Frustrated by lack of accountability, I have begun looking into taking legal action. I would not recommend Leaf Filter due to poor customer service and refusal to take responsibility and address damage caused by their improper installation of their gutter system." read more
