The product actually turned out pretty decent after wasting a lot of my time calling and taking off work to deal with it. Job was left undone and no call back after multiple phone calls, which had me worried. Price started out super HIGH.....by the time we were done, 70% decrease in price and upgraded to a larger gutter. A lot of stuff that came out of the sales guys mouth(Alex) was not true and he's literally the reason I wouldn't recommend this company. read more

As other reviewers have said, this company sends sales reps out using high pressure sales techniques. A total turn off. The first quote to cover our existing gutters was over $6000. Then, he kept lowering the price but only if we would sign the contract on the spot. At one point, he asked, "What are you willing to pay?" Very unprofessional and we asked him to leave. read more

I called Leaf Filter Denver office for a free quote of Gutter Guards on my new existing gutters. The salesman tried shaking me out of as much money as he could. He started at near 6000.00 then dropped to about 4600.00 then 3400.00. All too expensive for me. My existing gutters only cost 1400.00 to install. Finally I said I would not pay more than 2000.00 and he said he could do that. (As long as I didn't tell any neighbors what I paid... give me a break) What a shyster! He also told me the lifetime warranty covered acts of god. I specifically asked about hail damage. And he said absolutely. They would repair or replace at no cost. Later after installation I was handed a copy of the warranty and Hail and Storms are NOT covered. Warranty is void! So he flat lied to me. If you are in Southern Colorado beware of Leaf Filter. They try to rip you off for maximum dollars and at least my sales man totally lied to me about the life time warranty. I called their office to ask about the warranty and they confirmed I was lied to. A manager was suppose to call me the next business day.... and you guessed it.... I never heard from him. So I guess cheating and lying is their normal business practice. A shame! Bill C read more

Very bad reputation for the company. I personally had a bad experience the the Leaf Filter. After give me a whole advertisement about the company, the guy, Richard gave me the price which is too high that we have to think about it before sign any paper. After hearing that Richard did not want to leave my house even I said that I don not want to do anything now but get out of my house. I have to end up to call the Leaf Filter company to complain of the way of services. VERY BAD!!! read more

This is a waste of money. Still have to get on roof and clean debris off or water will run over cutters. Called customer service and they told be it would be 95.00 charge. My experience with LeafFilter could have been better from the high-pressure sales to the fact that they sent the local contractor to do the job. When the contractor showed up, he told me I should replace the front gutter, which I did for an additional $400 cash, on top fo the $5600 the company charged. At the end of the job, considering the clause, I expected to see well-graded chute on my house. This was not the case; the channels are not adequately angled for drainage. I would tell anyone looking for LeafFilter, channels to run fast. read more

We have now had all the issues that all the negative reviews are relaying. Started out with very personable sales rep, product looked superior and install was a week earlier than expected. That is all the positive we have. After sending an installation team of one middle aged slight man and an even smaller middle aged woman (who said they were from Louisiana installing here), they arrived at 10:30am, took an hour to get started, yanked all the old gutters off with a crow bar instead of pulling out the spikes to avoid damage, were to fill in holes left from the spikes which my husband had to keep any eye on that they were doing (he is a life long construction person so he was checking on them periodically..he has installed gutters himself in the past). This install was November 15, 2023 and it is now getting dark very early...like 4:45pm. They were just getting at installing the leaf filters and were installing them with head lamps on in the dark and finished at 6:45pm, totally dark. They advised that we were supposed to pay them and my husband said there was NO way. He wanted someone to come by in the daylight the next day to go over the install with him before we paid for anything. They left, next day we called the Installer Manager and my husband was now livid after he, at 79 years old, went onto the roof and all around the house with a ladder inspecting the install and it was not even close to what we had been explained and demonstrated. At this writing, we are still waiting on someone (after calls from us) to return a call/text and come by and take a look at what was NOT done correctly. Nevermind that the leaf filter was not installed properly but there are several other issues as well. Apparently there was no plan to have someone from the company walk thru the job to make sure their customer, us, was happy before making payment. We can only imagine the hell we would be having if we had made payment and then tried to get them to come out and fix things; but at this point, we still have their money and you who mentioned them starting out big price then discounting, that happened with us too. Now I could kick myself for not reading the reviews first but my husband was so impressed with the sales rep and you see Leaf Filter everywhere, tv, social media, mail flyers, internet ads so we felt it had to be legitimate. Buyers beware. We are both seniors and not wanting to have a problem like this but here we are. P.S. My review says I am from CA, do not know how to change it, we are in Aurora, CO read more

Buyer beware! I had to have them come out multiple times after install. They did damage to my house. When putting on gutter they used straps to attach to roof, they drilled holes and left them exposed. Thank God I had a roofer who was doing maintenance on metal roof noticed the exposed holes ripped up the facia screws not screwed into anything just exposed. What a nightmare cost $ 9393.00. Went with LeafFilter to get a professional install but the first day they were installed my brother inspected and the gutters were not even pitched! First call back to have them come back out and then multiple other calls from leaks etc. Finally just gave up and buyers remorse paid the 9393.00 off and will never do business with them again. I will also let other consumers know it is a complete rip off and un professional install. They should have refunded some of the money since there were multiple things that were damaged! read more

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! 5 snow storms following installation resulted in freezing the screen covers, which led to H2O over topping the gutter, causing icicles on the gutters, followed by freezing water over 2 stories of deck below. H2O also splashed on the wooden siding and wooden doors and windows. All within 2 weeks of install. Multiple calls to negotiate a removal & partial refund (we offered to cover $250 labor) with a firm "no" from David Moore. Failed to appear on 2 subsequent scheduled appointments. Other issues: NO clearing of downspouts, Gutters NOT leveled - H2O still pooling in gutters, 4 of 5 ends of filters NOT sealed to prevent insects, birds and small animals from entering. ALL these things were specified in our contract. BTW, I took MANY pix. Without doubt THE most unprofessional, high pressure sales tactic firm. Do your homework - they have a terrible rating on various BBB, FTC, AG and other ratings sites. (1.45 to 2.9 of 5.0) For what it's worth, I've filed complaints with the FTC, the BBB, and the Colo Atty Gen'l. Next stop: legal assistance. Can you spell Class Action Suit? read more

This is one of the worst products you can buy. Leaves get stuck on top of the gutter guard causing the gutters to clog from the outside. Rain overflows and does not allow the water to enter the gutter. When you call them to come and clean the gutters, they jerk you around. They give You a date and a window between 5 hours and you wait for them and they never show up. When you call them back and ask them why no one showed up, they can't answer you. They than tell you they will have someone call you and they never do. They sell you a bag of goods. They warranty the product never to clog your gutters for life Or Your money back. That's a crock. Try to get your money back. Don't believe their commercials they make it look so good. It's not. Very expensive and it doesn't work. read more

My husband hired them, and they cancelled the job because they underbid it. However, they couldn't be bothered to call us and let us know. Instead, the install date came and no one showed. We called and were then informed. On top of that, they still have a pending charge for the services they cancelled on our Credit Card. Stay away from them. Stay far away! read more

Waiting for rain to see how the new gutters work. In the interim, since our front yard was trampled by the installers we will wait for our ground cover to grow back. It's a shame that the installers were so careless and had no regard for all the hard work we put into our front yard. It's looks like a mess now and will take another 4-5 months to grow back. Thanks a lot. read more

I had a good experience with Leaf Filter. The sales rep (Aaron) was thorough, and he gave us a genrous military discount, too. What surprised me was the life time guarantee. You don't find that kind of service by many companies out there today. The price for the Leaf filter guards on my home was surprisingly affordable as it was a large 3-story lake house. The crew was professional and only two items needed to be done once the crew left, both of them minor. I called the main office and scheduled the edits and they were 100% corrected a week later. read more

Get scammed by LeafFilter? Here's how we got out of our contract. I went online, filled out my contact info and about a week later the sales guy shows up. Super slick, high pressure pitch. They will quote you three times what they expect to actually get so they can give you "special discounts" and "reduced pricing due to commercial jobs in your area", etc and if you agree to anything in this range you will be vastly overpaying for the product. The sales guy included all kinds of ridiculous claims including this gem: "Oh, no, stuff can't pile up on the mesh and clog it up. The surgical steel has a static charge on it and nothing can stick to it, it'll never clog up!" I signed the contract about 7:00PM that evening, and the installer was in my driveway, unexpectedly, by 8:30AM the next morning. Later I would understand why. Well, the next day by around lunch, about 18 hours after meeting with the sales guy, I did a little checking around and very quickly found out that I was paying probably 300% more than what I should have paid and started seeing the plethora of terrible reviews. I immediately regretted my decision, and thought back to how high pressure the sales guy was in wanting me to sign his contract before he left. Thankfully I was aware of my right to rescind the contract. When I looked up the LeafFilter North office address to which to address my letter of rescision, there were two offices and there was no indication of which office to send it to. So I called the main corporate office and asked them. They actually told me they had no idea where to send it, but that they would contact the main office in my state and have someone call me. Of course I never heard from anyone, so I sent two identical letters via registered mail, return receipt requested, to both offices to be sure. One of the return receipts I got back had a line drawn in the signature panel. The other one was completely blank because they refused to even sign it. A couple weeks goes by and I never hear from anyone. I tried calling both offices multiple times and was just always told that "a manager would call me back". Of course, I never heard from anyone. I then proceeded to send emails, and again received no response. Fortunately, to finance the product and the install I got financing through the Wells Fargo Home Projects credit account. Due to receiving no response from them in more than a month after rescinding the contract I initiated a charge back with Wells Fargo. At this point Wells Fargo contacted LeafFilter and let them know I had initiated a chargeback. Then, same day, for the first time since the entire thing began, I suddenly had a LF manager calling me up. He was very aggressive and tried to insist that by allowing the product to be installed I had waived my right to rescind the contract. I told him that was absolutely not the case, he hung up on me, I have never heard from them again. A few days later I received notice from Wells Fargo that they had resolved the claim in my favor and reversed the charges. I ended up not paying a single penny for the installation or the product which, after nearly a year, is on my house to this day. You see, they do the install super fast like that for several reasons - most people won't think to rescind their contract within the 72 hour window. Even if they become aware of their right to rescind during this short window, still more people will think "Oh, well, it's too late now, they've already installed it." If the customer becomes aware of their right to rescind, and after having the product installed still mail their letters within their time window, they will then be called and told "Sorry, you let us install it so you waived your right to rescind the contract". You then need to take the final step of initiating the chargeback and provide proof that you exercised your right of rescision within your window to do so to get out the other side of this thing, and I'm sure most people won't go this far. How did I get to keep the product for free and never pay anything in the end? If you read the law, you'll find they have something like an 11 day window during which they can acknowledge your recision and come uninstall and retrieve their product if they like. During their stonewall attempts and refusal to communicate with me that time period had long come and gone, and if it hadn't they would be out the cost of the install, the uninstall, and materials since much of it gets cut to custom lengths. This is the hole in their overall shady strategy. I have no doubt they know they run this risk, but it working out like this is rare, and they just consider it the cost of doing business. I never set out to try to scam these scammers, lesson learned, and I ended up with free LeafFilters on my entire house as reimbursement for dealing with their lying salesman, their stonewalling, their lying manager, and their underhanded business practices. read more

If we could rate LeafFilter a 0 we would but that is not an option. As a matter of fact they were walking away from the job and did damage to our house. We had to get the Attorney General's office, the BBB and Wells Fargo involved. We had LeafFilter come out to give us an estimate on installing their product on our gutters. We were promised it would take less than an hour for the appointment. Dean of LeafFilter was very pleasant and conducted the assessment in a timely manner. However... when it came to getting a price the problems started. The first product price provided was $8669; when we said we'd think about it, Dean started getting pushy and came up with another discount bringing the price down to $5635. By then the '60 minute' appointment was heading into 2 hours and we were done. Again Dean pushed to get us to accept and dropped the price to $4500 if we'd accept on the spot--a price drop of almost half the original quoted price! We didn't sign; we asked him to leave. The next day I get a text from "Michael, LeafFilter manager". He said they "happened to have" enough product in stock in our color, left over from another job they'd sell to us for the low price of $2750 installed. That's a price difference of almost $6000 from the original price quoted a day early! I smelled scam! If their product was as good as they advertised/promised why resort to the outrageous sales tactics and price changes. I requested LeafFilter leave us alone. I can't trust a company that uses these questionable practices. If their product is as good as they say there's no need to do that. My advice is to steer clear of these guys! read more

I had a leaf filter system installed in our home. After the initial sticker shock, the system was installed anyway. It performed as promised. WARNING: regarding the lifetime transferrable warranty: IF YOU ARE THINKING THAT YOU MIGHT NEED A NEW ROOF SOON. Don't buy the system at that time. If the roof gets installed AFTER the system, you either have to pay LEAF FILTER $1,100 to uninstall/reinstall the system to keep the warranty in tact OR if your roofer will work around the system, you still have to have LEAF FILTER come to your home and inspect the system (pay $104) to make sure all is still in place. Of course if the inspector finds things wrong you will have to pay LEAF FILTER to fix the filter system properly, not to mention, the roofer might not want to work around the system because it might effect the quality of the roof work. UPSHOT: The condition is in the small print of the contract, but we don't always read the small print. Any how, it cost me a surprise expense to keep the warranty in tact. If you don't follow the contract rules, and you sell the house, the warranty goes bye-bye for the new owners. Sour grapes. read more

I'm at the age that I shouldn't be up on a ladder cleaning gutters, so I purchased a Leaf Filter gutter system in March 2023. Due to improper installation the system caused basement flooding 3 times; it would have been more if we had not kept a sump pump in the window well and scooped out water as fast as the water overflowing from the gutter system draining into the window well each time it rained, and we all know how much it rained in Denver last year. Despite multiple complaints and visits from their technicians, the problem persisted, forcing me to endure weeks of inconvenience, sleepless nights, and thousands of dollars in damages. The issues with the improper installation were not fixed until August 2023. My biggest concern has been mold growing in between the walls, insulation and in the carpet. I care for my elderly parents in our home; their health and safety are my priority. After months of correspondence and promises of upper management calling to discuss issues and provide information for next steps to submit a claim, other than a generic 'get bids for repairs' from the local manager. BTW upper management never called. So, finally in April of 2024 I filed a claim for damages totaling over $17,000 but faced resistance from the customer relationship manager and the regional manager. Even with clear video and photos showing how the system failed; some of which were provided by their own tech of before and after repairs. The regional manager and customer relationship manager denied responsibility of Leaf Filter citing unrelated issues. Frustrated by lack of accountability, I have begun looking into taking legal action. I would not recommend Leaf Filter due to poor customer service and refusal to take responsibility and address damage caused by their improper installation of their gutter system." read more

This product is not for cold/snow environment. Salesman lies that this product works in snow/ice with no problems. The leaf filter system has caused ice blocking and subsequent damage to my roof and house. Denver team is terrible. Instead of fixing anything they caused more damage to include a claw hammer to their own product. Customer service is no help, they only pass calls and work orders to the same problem originators. When trying to contact anyone from corporate for assistance was not met with avoidance and blame of everything else except their product. Now instead of cleaning gutters I get to clean snow off my roof/gutters. I don not recommend the product, the Denver personnel, or the corporate support. read more

The sales experience with Mike from the Colorado office was great. Was told I would never have a clog, they were self cleaning, and would never ice dam. Sounds great right! Very nice an professional but that's where it ended. The install was prompt but we did not get a call before they showed up, not a big issue. The installer used screws that were to long which dented my gutters. Again something that I could live with. Then the first snow came and oh god did we realize we made a mistake. We have had ice damming issues and run off causing slip issues on our walks. The water now is starting to run behind the gutter and down the facia board. We have called and asked for them to be removed and refunded but were told that is not an option. I am currently waiting for a call from the regional sales manager. read more

Worse company I have ever had to deal with. The first group of guys that came to my house couldn't tell me if everything was right or not, they weren't able to communicate in English. I was told by the second service guy that came to my house that the wrong materials were installed on my gutters. The gutter protection was not installed on my gutters but under the edge of the roofing material. I was told by the sales guy that it has to be installed directly on the gutters so not to void the warranty on my roof. I have had to climb up on my ladder and take photos and send to the company. (I am a single woman over the age of 65). Is this company real, or just a scam? No show, no calls. The sales guy was nice but he should have gotten up on that ladder taken the measurements for the right product to be installed on the gutters. And the way it was installed?! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER hire this fraudulent company. Very poor at installation, customer service, and no interest or solutions for fixing problems they created. My 92 years young friend, having safety concerns for his son who is the resident and co-owner of their home, enlisted my help in getting estimates for the installation of gutter guards on their home. Happy to help I called several companies and made appointments for quotes. My first appointment was with the LeafFilter Company of North Denver. I took a gentleman friend with me and on the appointed day, February 13th, met with LeafFilter's estimator/salesman "Brett". We listened patiently to his presentation and sales tactics of reducing the price from $6,900 To $4,000. Brett then began pressuring me into signing an installation contract to "lock in" the $4,000 price that would only be good until 8:30 a.m. the next day. I told him I was NOT THE OWNER and had no legal authority to sign an installation contract on someone else's' home. He told me that wasn't a problem but he needed to lock in the price. He said I should speak to the owner and get back to him the next morning. If the owner did not want to do it I could call and cancel and he would tear up the contract - no problem. He also assured me that no work would be done without first contacting me and/or the owners. After seeing the outrageous estimate and checking BBB reviews, the owner decided this was not a company he wanted to do business with. I called the next morning, cancelled, and was told the contract would be torn up. The owners of the house were never contacted by LeafFilter Imagine my surprise and horror when I drove up to the house a week or so later and discovered that on February 19th, six days after the estimate and cancellation, LeafFilter gutters were installed on the house without any knowledge or consent from the owners or myself!! The locked backyard gate had been broken into and left open. Pieces of shingles, hardware, and water bottles were strewn on the lawn. Shingles were lifted and the gutter guards were already starting to warp. As I stood looking at the unbelievably horrible installation and damage to the roof the salesman, Brett, came storming up the driveway contract in hand insisting I owed them $4,000 and if not paid they would put a lien on the house!! When I told him he had no authorization to do the installation he replied, "You mean I'm going to have to eat this?" I have recordings, video, and pictures of the entire last encounter. In addition, I spoke with a neighbor of the residence who told me he was concerned when he saw the installation crew show up with no one at the house and ask him to run an extension cord across the street to use his electricity. I called the owner, told him what had transpired, and sent pictures of the installation. He called LeafFilter and was directed to David Moore. Mr. Moore told him they would settle the issue if the owner paid him $2,400 for supplies. Of course the owner refused and requested I get in touch with Mr. Moore to tell him exactly what had happened. I called Mr. Moore and told him some of what had happened before he said he had already heard 6 different versions of the story and wasn't interested in hearing another. He "suggested" I shouldn't be signing contracts I had no authorization to sign. (wish he had told his salesman that!) He said I would be hearing from their attorney and hung up. I find it extremely disconcerting and appalling that this company would get a contract and do an installation on a house without the express consent and authorization of the owner! read more

Update from my previous review: Well, for the fourth time within a month, a technician showed up at my home. He was the technician who was sent to my home a couple of weeks ago and he said he was there to "...do basically the same thing I did the last time." I understand the technician is not at fault because he just does what he's ordered to do by the company however, the "same thing" he did before did not result in repair of the uneven/warped slats and shingle damage on the eaves of my roof caused by ice accumulation on top of the slats. Shortly after the technician arrived, I was able to contact the project manager, Mattias at (720) 381-0442 to discuss my concerns. Mattias aggressively tried to explain how fantastic the Leaf Filter product is and insinuated that my observations of the product's shortcomings and the damage to my home it has caused, and will continue to cause, were unfounded. At the end of a rather heated discussion I told him the only fair solution is to have Leaf Filter remove the system from my home, repair the damages it caused to my home, and give me a full refund. Mattias said he would tell the technician to leave my home and that he would pass my concerns and request to corporate. Judging from Mattias' tone during our phone conversation, I have serious doubts that he has any intention of passing my concerns on to any of his superiors so, following our conversation, I immediately called customer service. After being on hold for approximately 20 minutes (pretty standard for any company) I was able to speak with a representative. I conveyed to the representative my issues and request to have Leaf Filter remove the system from my home, repair the damages it caused to my home, and give me a full refund. She assured me that I would receive a phone call from someone in the corporate office soon. I don't however, expect a phone call because at this point, my trust in Leaf Filter as a truthful and ethical company that strives for customer satisfaction has been completely obliterated. I have to say, in my profession I deal with contractors and vendors on a regular basis. My experience with Leaf Filter has, by far, been the worst experience with any company I have ever encountered. The text of my earlier reviews are as follows: "Today I noticed Leaf Filter has caused the roof shingles adjacent the gutters to be pushed up 3/4" to 1" in several locations. After closer inspection I noticed that all ends of the filter slats were uneven with ample open space for debris to enter the gutters. This obviously will eventually cause clogged gutters and roof damage that most likely will void the warrantee on my roof. The system was installed less than three months ago. I contacted my sales representative and told him about the issues and he said "...it sounds like an improper installation. Call service and let them know; they can address the issue quicker than I can." I left a message with the service department (800-749-4566). Hopefully I hear back from them soon and that they will correct the issues. If the issues are corrected I would be willing to give Leaf Filter a higher rating." "From my experience with this company, all of the negative reviews are spot on. I've gone back and forth with the service department for the past few weeks regarding uneven/warped Leaf Filter slats and shingle damage on the eaves of my roof caused by ice accumulation on top of the slats. They've sent three "technicians" to my home so far but none of them have corrected the issues. Horrible customer service, never do business with them again. We've been waiting 2 months for them to fix their crappy install. I suggest to anyone they go elsewhere to do business. read more

If i could give 0 stars I would. The absolute worst customer service of all time, do not buy their product. They installed a Leaf Filter and as a result we have ice damns which then causes water to run down the side of the house destroying the siding. I called the company at least 10 times, never got a call back. The salesmen are extremely aggressive and convinced my senior citizen parents to buy this product and charged them $4,000. Total scam company, DO NOT USE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Great salesman and an excellent product however the install and the service is poor. Had to have them back 3 times to try and get it right and in the end I ended up straightening up the downspouts because the weren't plumed up properly. I'm surprise they've lasted this long with this poor of service. read more
