After his 45 minute sales pitch, he offered to do the work for an astronomical price ($17K) and then gradually came down to a price which still seemed expensive ($5.1K), but reasonable in light of his slick sales strategy. I accepted this because I hadn't done my research. When the sub contractor came to do the work (for which he would be paid $400), he pointed out that there was a gap between some of the gutters and the roof and mentioned that that would have be fixed first. He also pointed out that he couldn't get to the highest gutters without doing damage to the roof because he didn't have the right ladder. When I pointed this out to Leaf Filter, they wanted me to sign a waiver. That was my way out and I decided not to go that route. After doing some research, I learned that the company is notorious for these high pressure sales tactics which many people fall for. I think they are selling an okay product, but, after doing some research, I think it's overpriced. It's also questionable if these gutter guards work in the long-term. I read that leaves and debris can gather on top of the gutter guards over time making them ineffective. The bottom line: even if you install a leaf guard--and you actually have trees that drop leaves and other debris on the roof--your gutters will likely still need to be serviced! So, the conclusion I've come to is that gutter cleaning is just one of the necessary expenses involved in owning a home that's surrounded by trees. Of course, you could do it yourself if you have the proper equipment, but if you have 3 floors and steep roofs, like I do, you might want to leave it up to the professionals.

I paid around $5,000 to Leaf Filter not only to install gutter guards, but also for a full assessment of my roof and gutters, including repairing or replacing any damaged or faulty sections. I was also told that if any issues arose in the future, they would return and take care of them. Unfortunately, the installation process itself was a major red flag. The first installer got into an argument with my neighbor, shouted at my wife, and left before completing the job. LeafGuard did acknowledge this and offered a small discount, then sent another installer to finish the work. I blame myself in hindsight for even allowing them to finish the job, I should have just cancelled the work then. Once winter arrived, serious problems began. A lot of water started leaking above our front stairs, creating large amounts of ice on the steps -- a significant safety hazard. We have lived in this home for over 20 years and have NEVER experienced ice buildup like this. While it was a harsh winter, the issue was clearly related to the installation as we found out later. Leaf Filter sent someone out to inspect the issue, but I was essentially told there was nothing they could do. I was told I would receive a call from a manager, but no one bothered to follow up with me. Ultimately, I had to hire another company to correct the problems. They literately had to remove all of the Leaf Filter system from the front of my house in order to fix the issue, which cost me an additional several thousand dollars more out of pocket. For a company that promotes itself as a premium, guaranteed solution, this experience was extremely disappointing. Between the unprofessional installation, unresolved water and ice issues, and the additional expense required to fix their work, this was not the service or protection I was promised. Beware

We used Integrity Solutions for the first time this winter to plow our driveway & clear our…read morewalkway. Overall I was happy with the service, enough that I would probably use them again. There were some areas of the service I would've liked improved on to give them a perfect 5/5 review but as I said, I was happy overall with their work for the season. One aspect would've been that I would've liked the long front stretch of my driveway to be cleared wider. Late into the winter season it sometimes was tight getting our small SUV down the narrow lane & once the ice sets in, you're pretty much stuck with that amount of driveway until you get enough warm days to finally melt the build up. I do understand they were probably being cautious to not plow onto any landscaped/lawn areas, but sometimes my husband & I had to go out to chip away at the piles to get just that extra couple feet for the car. I also wish the contract was more clear on what necessitates a two plow/$200 charge. We had one storm this year (12/29/22) where I was charged for the $200 double plow but multiple snowfall tracking websites including the Denver Post & Apple Weather said an average of 7.6-8.5" of snow fell in my area. My contract states "Anything under a foot will be plowed once at end of storm unless otherwise requested." Integrity was very responsive to questions regarding why I was charged double when it was under a foot of snow. Ultimately I was not satisfied with the explanation that because the piles were high and the company's plow broke it warrented the extra charge. If in a contract you specifiy a specific threshold to meet this extra charge, the company should be able to prove that threshold was met. I would've been satisfied if they'd redirected me to a snow tracker site that noted a foot of snow had fallen but they could not. I'll see where I & the company are at this year in terms of plowing. The team was very nice, timely, & saved us back breaking work when my husband & I weren't able to do so ourselves this season. I've also got some gutter work that I eventually need doing & I do have Integrity on my list as one of the possible companies to come get the job done. Not perfect but still grateful to have had them last winter.
