    I requested a quote for gutter repair and it appears that I signed up for mass call/voicemail spam from leaf filter. Their pre-recorded voicemails are piling up my voicemail. Please advise, Leaf Filter. One message with a voicemail is sufficient. Sometimes customers may take some time to get back to you, but this is wild. Consumers/ potential clients beware-- if you sign up for a quote you are also signing up to get mass spam calls from multiple phone numbers.

    Do not waste your money. I got these a year ago. they came out twice because the corner of the house was still leaking. I have been out of time and working a lot. I noticed it was still leaking in that corner the other day so I called them and they told me I would have to pay $95 for a service call. I told I was not because it was never corrected to begin with. She said because it has been a year I have to pay the service call. If it was a new issue I would understand, but this is still leaking from the 2 times they came out and tried to fix it. Do not waste the money. they will not correct any issues you have.

    We requested bids for gutter cleaning and gutter guards on Angi's List (now Service Pros) and received several responses. One was from Leaf Filter. We made an appointment and their salesperson, Clark E. arrived on time. He took some measurements and then sat down with us and his binder of information. He went through a thorough presentation about Leaf Filter, their product, their ratings on Consumer Reports, where the product is manufactured, how long the company has been in business, the warranty is transferable, there is a no clog guarantee, etc. etc. We had no doubt that most or all of those facts were true. He used the "tried and true" sales tactic of asking us if we were comfortable with the product and company, and if so, were we ready to sign. We became suspicious when he did some calculations and presented us with a price of $9,462. He asked us if that price was in the ballpark of what we expected, and we honestly stated that it was not a huge surprise, but that we had a few other companies coming out and would make a decision after talking to them. He asked who else we were talking to, and implied that most of the smaller companies would probably not be in business long enough to cover their warranties, and that their products were inferior. Who else we're talking to is not his business. We also made it clear that we were not willing to make a decision that day. He then implied that that price would be good until August 31. He asked us if either one was a veteran or senior, my husband is a veteran, so then he added a 10% discount and dropped the price to $8,515. We told him we still needed time to talk about it, and would not make a decision today. Then he brought up some coupons that we might have seen in the mail or online, he "wouldn't make us look for them", but that added another 20% discount, bringing the cost down to $6,812. Again, we said we needed to talk about it. We often tell salespeople that we've had a couple of experiences where we agreed on something too quickly, and ended up regretting it. It's our way of trying to be nice before we tell them no. He then seemed to be questioning our 47 year marriage and why did we have to discuss everything before making a decision. We had already silently agreed via text message that we were not going to do business with this guy under any circumstances. It was at this point that he did some more quick calculations and asked us "What if we could do the job tomorrow for something around $2,400, which is essentially at cost?" We said no. He then asked what would we have to lose if we agreed to that. I lost it then, remained polite, but told him he was really becoming extremely pushy, and that we were not going to agree to anything today. He said something to the effect of, "Well, I didn't ask for this appointment", slammed his book shut and left very abruptly (thank goodness). I hope anyone considering getting a quote from Leaf Filter reads this and all the other similar reviews. There are a lot of vulnerable and trusting people (and there's nothing wrong with that) out there who might just agree to that first bid. I've attached photos of the Leaf Filter bid and one we received from a smaller, local company (who we are probably going to go with). Clark didn't even have a business card, and just hand wrote everything on the Leaf Filter page. Compare this with the professional bid we received from the other company, at a much lower cost.

    Over $40 a foot for 100 foot of gutters less than 10 feet off the ground in my opinion this is unreasonably expensive

There were some areas of the service I would've liked improved on to give them a perfect 5/5 review but as I said, I was happy overall with their work for the season. One aspect would've been that I would've liked the long front stretch of my driveway to be cleared wider. Late into the winter season it sometimes was tight getting our small SUV down the narrow lane & once the ice sets in, you're pretty much stuck with that amount of driveway until you get enough warm days to finally melt the build up. I do understand they were probably being cautious to not plow onto any landscaped/lawn areas, but sometimes my husband & I had to go out to chip away at the piles to get just that extra couple feet for the car. I also wish the contract was more clear on what necessitates a two plow/$200 charge. We had one storm this year (12/29/22) where I was charged for the $200 double plow but multiple snowfall tracking websites including the Denver Post & Apple Weather said an average of 7.6-8.5" of snow fell in my area. My contract states "Anything under a foot will be plowed once at end of storm unless otherwise requested." Integrity was very responsive to questions regarding why I was charged double when it was under a foot of snow. Ultimately I was not satisfied with the explanation that because the piles were high and the company's plow broke it warrented the extra charge. If in a contract you specifiy a specific threshold to meet this extra charge, the company should be able to prove that threshold was met. I would've been satisfied if they'd redirected me to a snow tracker site that noted a foot of snow had fallen but they could not. I'll see where I & the company are at this year in terms of plowing. The team was very nice, timely, & saved us back breaking work when my husband & I weren't able to do so ourselves this season. I've also got some gutter work that I eventually need doing & I do have Integrity on my list as one of the possible companies to come get the job done. Not perfect but still grateful to have had them last winter.
