I called for estimate, they showed up an hour late after it was dark. Didn't measure but managed to give a quote for 50 feet straight run 4,183.00. The material at Home Depot would cost me about 150.00. What a scam. Don't be fooled by these fools. Fortunately I called a local gutter service who indicated that that the gutters had loosened and pulled away from the drip edge causing the water run behind the gutter in numerous spots. The next day my wife and I fixed the problem by reattaching the gutters and applying screws to keep them in pace. Don't be fooled by these scam artists. We hired Leaf Filter to replace all the rain gutters and install leaf filters over them (~$13 K job). We soon noticed that some of the roof's runoff water was going behind the gutters and behind the facia of the house. This of course could result in serious problems in the future because the water would eventually rot the wood behind the facia. I will try to be brief here, but in a nutshell, I contacted Leaf Filter's national customer service and the local Salt Lake City Leaf Filter company almost a dozen times to try to get them to come out and fix the problem. The Salt Lake folks would not even call me back. They came out once when I was not at home and said it was a roof problem. Not so! They incorrectly said I needed a drip edge. I had to get a roofer come out here and tell me that was not the problem. Leaf Filter's Customer Service even set up two appointments for the Salt Lake City Leaf Filter to come and talk to me and see the problem. Both times the visits were a no-shows! In the end, after nearly 7 months of trying to get Leaf Filter people to come out see and fix the problem, I had to get an independent gutter company (not Leaf Filter) come and diagnose and fix the problems. To address this issue was not terribly difficult (the installers were pretty good), but NOT doing so would have resulted in very expensive repairs that would have necessitated us to eventually replace the rotted wood behind the facia of our home. Desperation offer: more than 50% from original quote and $35 less than other offer and they can complete it next day or even same day. I had to commit to doing a review and allow for yard sign though! ‍ Same Day: WOW! Installers (sub-contractors) show up to replace about 25 feet of gutter over the garage. Explain the issue, "Water MUST drain to the right, it is currently pooling on the left 18-24". As wrapping up, ask are you sure it's not puddling? (He was on the ladder, looking at left end, and snow was melting so fair amount of water.) Yep, good to go! I express gratitude, pay, and tip the workers. Workers go to leave, truck won't start. I offer to assist, giving them a jump, turns out loose wire on starter maybe? Day 2: Get my ladder out to check work. Water is pooled on left side. Get level to document. The correct slope the bubble should be to the left, it's clearly to the right. Call customer service. They have guy come out day 3. Day 3: Service Guy shows up in Audi car with ladders on roof. Parks in driveway. Explain issue to him and he gets to work. I asked him what slope is supposed to be, telling him that I've seen a couple of different answers online. He doesn't know. I call customer service to find out if they can tell me what the slope is supposed to be so I can check. Worker comes to door to show me he's got it fixed. He holds the level up for me to see, the bubble is to the right. I have to teach/show him how to use the level! Seriously! He goes back to work. Rings bell and tells me my roof is sloped. I say, don't care you shouldn't be using the roof as a guide you should use a level and slope it to the right. States can't get the water to drain because roof is low on this side. I tell him to lower the rest of the gutters, the only reason we replaced the gutter was for the water to flow from the far left to the right. I then talked to the local manager who states that even though they have installed my gutter to code with a drop "1/4 inch per 10ft". I state, "If it were actually sloping 1/4 inch per 10 it would drain and I wouldn't have standing water still. He says that it's leveled from the roof line not the actual level. I guess Leaf Filter thinks that water defies gravity and flows up. I ask for a refund; they tell me to pack sand - not in those words. Installer texted 2 hrs before arrival on same day (I was told I'd be called the day before). Broken English, arrived alone. At end of installation I asked (from what I could see at ground level) "why are there gaps between the guard and the gutter?" His response "because your shingles are sh*t". After he left I looked all around the house on a ladder, large gaps between guards and gutter that will allow debris into gutters. Mesh portion of guards hanging, large globs of glue in spots. Wrote to salesman who had claimed he would make sure I got a good install, sent pics and details, his response was to "report my inquiry to customer service". CS made appointment 20 days in future for a technician to come out to look. Sloppy installation, can't imagine how it can be fixed. $2K spent for 129 linear feet on a small ranch single story house. Years ago, Leaf Filter installed their gutter system on my home here in western WA state, and recommended we also purchase their "valley diverters", which they installed where the roof valleys drained into the gutter. Soon thereafter, we had leaves pile up behind the valley diverters, creating a dam that backed water up above the level of the leaf filter gutter system (which wasn't sealed up the seam behind the valleys), causing water to leak behind the gutter and down the wall of our home, damaging the sheathing and siding of our home. They came out to look at the damage and suggested we contact their office regarding help with paying for the damage, but stopped answering our calls and emails, so in the end - we not only paid for the gutter system, but also to repair the damage to our home. Their warranty is that your "gutter won't clog" - which is true. The leaves and debris pile on top of the LeafFilter screen, necessitating pressure washing of the screen periodically to remove debris and moss that grows on the debris and into the screen. No gutter clog - just the screen. So, you will still have to clean your gutters - (the LeafFilter screens), - but it is true, your gutters and downspouts will not clog. Of course, without cleaning, water from the roof may simply pour over the gutter and never make it into the gutter. And - those valley diverters - can cause real problems with the structure of your house if leaves back up behind the diverters and alter the flow of water allowing entry behind your gutters. read more

Had them installed, and by the way they WILL negotiate the price. Was quoted about $5k initially and after I declined, they called me back a few times and each time reduced the price. I finally said "ok if you do it for $2400" and they agreed. They worked ok, but when I had to have some roof work done they told me that THEY would have to put my gutters and filters back on for $1800 to continue the warranty. I agreed but when I tried to call to schedule them to come out to put them back on, they would not return my calls for weeks, so I had to have someone else put gutters and different filters on. With a cost of over $7000.00. We purchased this so my 70 year old husband wouldn't have to climb the ladder to clean the gutters. Now he will have to clean the gutters after every rain. The debris sits on top of the screens, looks horrible and I would assume eventually all the debris will clog the gutters. I did find out that they would be willing to have someone come out and clean them, but that will cost you $95.00 per visit, my husband said he didn'tfeel he should have to pay for something that wasn't described honestly. I was looking for gutter guards and agreed to a quote from LeafFilter. The initial quote was very high, but I was able to negotiate down to about a third of the original price. I was concerned in one area that my gutters were actually too small, but the salesman assured me the guards were all that was needed. I asked him to write that into the contract-- that my gutters would not overflow-- and he obliged. Install went smooth, but then the problems started. As predicted my gutters overflowed in one critical spot. I called and a repairman came out and installed an extender. The problem persisted, so I ended up with another extension. Soon the problem was getting worse and pushing water onto the roof, causing more damage. Call after call, servicemen would respond and tell me there was nothing more they could do. So I decided to test the guarantee. It did not work. I was not satisfied. But the company was unwilling to honor the guarantee. I got the runaround several times and finally, months after install, ended up with a manager who told me straight up: they were not allowed to do refunds, only "maintain" and "manage situations." I made several calls to their corporate headquarters, each time being told the big boss would call me back. I never got a call. This company is dishonest and unethical. I purchased these on 4/28/25 with also paying the extra $500. for them to remove and reinstall these when my roof was replaced. They installed these leaf filter the next day 4/29/25 everything worked fine no issues. I called close to the end of May to get the uninstall done and was told to call back after the first of June. I called on 6/2/25 and set the date to get the filters removed, so far so good. I called them back to schedule the reinstall and was told they would call me back. I called everyday until the following Wednesday when I called the salesman because I kept getting the same response "They have until 6:00pm to call you back" and I still had no one call me back! It is now 6/18/25 and I had to call the salesman again to get them to call me back, then they say we can be there between 8:00am and 10:00am tomorrow. I have had Leaf filter since April. Lets be clear. The product works IF the installers do their job properly. That being said. I have spent more time speaking with customer service than with any other product I have experienced. I had a leak between my gutter a fascia that was just resolved in July. The downspout positioning is garbage. My drive way is being washed out everytime it rains. I was told my time was valuable. It sure doesn't feel like it. Our system was installed in November of 2023. This past weekend in February of 2025 we noticed water pouring over the edge of our gutters on our driveway and patios. I called LeafFilter and was told we were out of warranty and would need to pay a $95 service fee to be looked at. The technician showed up a week early - unannounced. Afterwards, he said he had to clean debris from the top of the filters. When I asked if this would need to occur regularly, he said it would. We hired LeafFilter to replace existing gutter and change the downspout location. The salesman showed up and this was a high-pressure sale. (Like a used car salesmen, "This deal is only available today, sign this or your cost will be much higher!".) So be prepared for that and know how much you're willing to pay before they show up. Also, they are crazy focused on selling you a leaf filter in addition to the gutter. Even though there are zero trees near our roof. This company was a disappointment because they should have known that the gutter design we requested would freeze and there would be zero drainage of snow melting off the roof. We were looking for maintenance free gutters. I met with Dave DiCiccio, who was your average salesman. Over promising, a bit pushy, and flat out lied. We paid over $3000 for our gutter system that was installed on October 30th, 2023. It has not even been 2 years and we have had to call requesting that debris be cleaned out on 3 occasions. We believe there is a flaw in the system in one particular area because last year, our basement flooded for the first time since we have owned our home (9years). And recently, in the same spot, water was dripping into our window sill. I have called and requested a complete inspection of the system, which still has not happened. Most recently, I called customer services, explained the issue and asked to speak with a manager. I sent a video of the rain water coming into the window. They said that they would be out the next day to inspect the whole system. Nobody came the next day and nobody called. I called back on Monday and was told that I could expect a call from corporate. I got a call from a serviceman stating that he would be there today. I asked if he knew why he was going and it was not evident that he did. I requested again, a whole system inspection. They promised me $300 per house, which would be per day, considering each house takes a minimum of 5 hours, not including travel time that can be up to an hour. Additionally, there is administrative work, signing estimates with clients, taking photos before and after the job, and sending all documents via their seven-step app, which adds another 2 hours. On the first training day, I started at 7:30 am and worked for 13 hours for $99. The next day, I came in at 7:30 am, did a house alone starting at 10 am, and finished at 7:30 pm. I was paid $200, but they deducted $50 for insurance, so I received $150 for 2 days. They promised gas reimbursement, which I never received. Furthermore, you need to invest in equipment, including taller ladders that increase risk and time, potentially to earn $300. I invested in a ladder rack that I never used. Came twice with wrong size ladder then they came a third time and did a rushed installation (done with less than one hour of daylight left, finished job in the dark) for such an expensive job. Follow-up to my review on 5/14/2024. Please do not do business with them. The contract you sign is not worth the paper it is written on. On 4/30/2024, I made the 1st call to request assistance from corporate representatives and spoke to Mikala at 10:30 am. She said she would have someone return my call within one business day. Since I didn't get a response, I made the 2nd call on 05/02/24 at 10:50 am and spoke to Nicole, who gave me the same response. Frustrated with the lack of response, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for consumer fraud on 5/02/2024. On 05/07/2024, I made the 3rd call as I still did not receive a response from the second call. I spoke to Ashley at 12:01 pm, and she said she would have someone return my call within one business day. Finally, on 5/09/2024, I received a call from the Mobile, AL office offering a $600.00 credit. They claimed there was no clog because they missed a 2-foot gap in our filter. He claimed no filter no clog! However, I insisted the system was clogged and requested a refund as per the "no clog guarantee" in the contract. I also mentioned that I had a video showing the clogged gutters/filters throughout our home (attached still shot could not attach the video here). I sent the video to them. On 05/14/2024, I submitted a review on Yelp. Shortly after, on May 15, 2024, Twig L. from Corporate responded, suggesting that I email their customer service. On 5/15/2024, Natalie from Customer Service called at 10:45 am and said she would have a manager return my call. On 5/29/2024, Abigail Whitworth, Customer Relations Manager, called at 9:18 am. According to her, the complaint fell under "Workmanship" and that they would come out and add the 2 ft. missing filter and inspect the work. I referred back to the contract; we had a clog in the system, which is not consistent with the contract we signed. The fact that they did a faulty job was not our fault. The contract does not limit the no-clog guarantee to installation or workmanship if they mess it up. I requested that she send me an itemization of the work and the number of times they had to return to my home. Each time, I had to take off work to wait on them. I went back and forth with the BBB to get a resolution. Finally, on June 5, 2024, they notified me that they closed the case, stating that the business addressed the issues within the complaint and that the business made a good-faith effort to answer the complaint. I expressed frustration with obtaining a fair resolution and how the business handled the situation. How did they determine the business made a good faith effort?! I asked several times how they arrived at the $600.00 credit they were offering, the contract amount was $2,513.00, which I paid in full for work that was supposed to be done in a "substantial and professional manner" (in the contract). I missed several days of work to be home for them to fix their errors in addition to time and aggravation. BBB was of no help. With all the complaints and negative reviews, Leaf Filter has had, they continue to support this business. Many of these complaints are as recent as May 2024. What happened to doing the right thing! They are in business because of us the consumers, be honest and honor your contract when you violate the terms. And please stop advertising the "no clog guarantee, no holes, no gaps, no openings = zero clogged gutters!!! They need to be investigated for unethical business practices and consumer fraud. Leaf filter installed a single gutter (without leaf filter) on the back of the house but did not tuck the gutter under the drip edge and so it leaked through and did not solve the problem. Their technician fixed it when I complained. I recently called and asked for a quote to add the leaf filter to the gutter. Salesman said he would call me back - he never did. I called and he said it slipped his mind. He then provided a quote that I accepted. He scheduled a four hour installation window for which I had to make a special trip. I am having work done on my foundation and thought it would be a good idea to have my gutters checked out as well since that can also affect foundations if you experience a lot of rain. I only wanted an estimate. I am going to try and not make this long and tedious for anyone reading this... Everything started out fine during the inspection of my gutters, but when it came to the presentation (which was rushed) and the actual estimate, things took a very bad turn. I was told that my existing gutters were actually fine, that I didn't need new ones, so they would only have to install the leaf filters. My first quote was $11,635.00! I live in a 1300 sq ft, one story home with a roof that is not pitched... I was given three other lesser discounted quotes, but I needed to act immediately to get it. The one specialist kept insisting that I finance even though I refused MULTIPLE times and was crystal clear that I would not even consider financing and that's when he started to lose patience with me and even begin to point out that I financed my car, etc... The price went from $11,635 to $2,928.00 as long as I called by 9pm to lock it in. I have never been so offended in my life! I don't like the way that I was talked to when I refused to finance, or how it was assumed that I would even trust this company to correctly install the filters after nearly being over charged for a project. I will say that the "new trainee technician" who came out to assist was very pleasant and professional. I get that they have employees to pay, slow seasons and all of that, but I am entering the senior status of my life with limited income as well. Numerous attempts to contact anyone at the Boston office by phone or email have been ignored. Contacting the main office service department prompts them to react but communication between the two offices is shoddy at best. You can't count on them to help you out, and this is something I have to pay for as it's not covered under the warranty. I'd hate to see how they handle service requests under warranty. The day of installation they were late by 3 hours from when they said they were coming. The installers caused damage to my roof when they were removing my old gutters. The filter itself had gaps all over. They put black screws instead of the matching color as promised in the contract. The installers did most of the work in the dark. They had to come back the next day because my kids needed to go to bed for school the next day. They left about 10 feet of a 40-foot gutter hanging off the house when they left the first night. They didn't clean up afterwards and left a bunch of screws and trash around my property and the driveway.to include cigarette butts. I was told that after they install the new gutters they would clean out the down spouts to ensure they wouldn't ever clog... Well by no surprise with these installers, they didn't even do that. All I got when I first called was nothing but excuses on the "hired help" that they contracted with. It took leaf filter 5 times and different people to come out to my house from 12/5/23 to 1/25/24 to come get the problems fixed. I was told the "roofer" was so good he would be able to look at the color of my shingles and just know. He even came to the house and took a sample of the shingle and still came back to the house with the wrong color shingles. But of course, every time they came out, they were trying to get me to sign that the job was completed, to which it wasn't. Then we got some snow (which it just builds up on the filter and then water drips over the gutter) and after it melted, one gutter was leaking. I had to get a service request for that. Was told by Alex they were "working on something" to take care of me for all of the problems we had. Then I had Jimmy come to have me sign the completion paperwork. Now every time i contact Jimmy its more excuses like "sorry, we are moving offices, I am still waiting to hear back" or other BS excuses. Everyone I spoke with was adamant they were "going to take care of me" and I was worried that even after signing the COC it was going never going to happen. Every time I called for an update it has been nothing but excuses on why they won't just take care of me for how bad this has been. I have never been contacted to even give me an update of "how they are going to take care of me". It would just be nice for someone to have accountability with how bad this job was. Good thing I had my drone to inspect the horrible job done in the first place, otherwise I probably would not have known about all the gaps in the filter and the job being done incorrectly. Think twice before hiring Leaf Filter unless you enjoy having damage to your house and a headache to get to get it fixed. If I could give a -5 star, I would. Take your business elsewhere if you can. If I could, I'd have them give my money back and come take their gutters and filters off of my house and go with a different company. But of course, they definitely wont do that, they are giving me a $100 gift card for my inconvenience. $100 gift card is just a slap in the face being they are a multi million dollar company. We had LeafFilter installed on our house and barn years ago. The only problem we had was that the water pressure was so high coming off the south side of the barn, it blew out part of the downspout that needed tightening. No clogging with sticks and leaves that blow right off it, and wasps can't get through it to build their homes. We NEED clear gutters and no luck with other gutter guards in the past. Our water system consists of three cisterns without which there would be no showers, no laundry, no toilet flushing. When the disastrous lake effect storms took down our house gutters in December, I didn't shop around. Called LeafFilter and though we had sub-zero wind chills and some miscommunication that held up installation, the job got finished today. Chris Jackson, our installer, was cordial, efficient and professional; AND he did the installation in freezing wind chills, saying he really didn't mind the weather. LeafFilter is more expensive but well worth the money. And if you get a fellow named Chris Jackson to do the installation, you're REALLY lucky! read more

The estimator/salesman was so rude I stopped the appointment before we even sat down to discuss options .The ops manager just wanted to offer me their product 'at the lowest possible price'. No thank you! I'd give them a zero if possible. read more

Very expensive, poor installation, they installed wrong size gutter leaf guards. Eventually they had someone come out and install correct ones . I would not recommend leaffFilter . read more

Had a sales representative named Bryan come by about 11am this morning. He said he would measure our home and give us an estimate. He waited for our daughter to arrive since she was picking up the tab. She came with her infant which was antsy and even though he could see she had her hands full, he would not get to the point and give an estimate. After talking non stop for 2 hours and frustrating her, he said $6,399.00 for very little work. We were appalled. My God, was he kidding? She looked on here(Yelp) and advised him to improve his companies statistics before trying to fast talk anyone else. Do not fall for this nice looking con man. read more

I had my gutters put in in March of 2023. I was told I had a lifetime warranty which would even carry over to the new owner of my house if I ever sold my home. So I call on March 14th of this year to have them have someone come out and fix the gutter that is pulling away from my house. The guy tells me because I didn't decide to get the filters put on my gutters I have no warranty on them. Tells me a representative from their Mobile Alabama office will call me on Monday. We'll it's Tuesday no call. This company is a rip off. They do not back their work and apparently not their lifetime warranty. I am reporting them to the BBB and going to talk to my attorney about suing for out right lying to their customer. I knew there were issues from the first time they came out. They sent two men that looked like they just got out of prison they couldn't even do the job because they didn't have all the equipment to do the job. Then asked me for gas money. This is also the second time I have had to call about the gutters giving way from the house. The first time they didn't charge me. But this time the gentleman on the phone told me their work is only covered for 1 year. It's not my fault your company can't hire people on merit to do a professional job. read more

While the estimator was professional, the overall experience with Leaf Filter was a disappointment. On Monday, I received an on-site inspection and estimate, we both signed a contract, and the estimator scheduled the gutter installation for the following Monday. On Wednesday, two days after we signed the contract, I received a voicemail from Leaf Filter indicating they were cancelling the contract and were not going to do the project. read more
