They installed my roof one week later the wind ripped it off. They repaired it two weeks later the wind ripped it off again. They were extremely unprofessional damage my property made no effort to compensate me. Did not offer me their 10% discount advertised online refused to honor their warranty. Lied about filing a claim with the shingle manufacturer and now we're going to court. All that crap that Jack just wrote is a bunch of lies ! The fact that they had to come back three times in a month says a lot about their workmanship. The warranty is still being processed because they refuse to do it and refused to provide photos gosh I wonder why. He says it's defective shingles. I say it's defective workmanship which he will not cover so be careful when he says he's gonna warranty his work because he's not going to. Jack knows full well that the shingles were installed recently in cold weather and will most likely not adhere. His warranty is for five years not for tomorrow and his employees that treated me disrespectfully leaving nails in my driveway hanging up on me not showing up for appointments and it is not closed. I will see Jack in court to make sure he fulfills his warranty promises at minimum five years. Tamco, the shingle manufacturer told me that I was the one who was supposed to file the claim, not Jack The Roofer interfering with my own claim. What kind of crap is that and that's his reason for not upholding his warranty. I definitely would not use this roof forever. read more

I was looking for a roofing company to repair some tile in my home, and I came across this listing. It brought back some bad memories. Jack the Roofer replaced our relatively large tile roof back in 2019. I have done many house projects from large to small over the last 8 years, and Jack the Roofer takes first place in being the absolute worst home project experience we have ever had. It took 9 months to complete the project. First off, I found him on Yelp. He had like 150+ positive reviews which I later found out that most of them were fake - probably from family and friends. They were taken down. Not cool and very dishonest. Jack was a slick salesman prior to starting telling me that it was no big deal and that he was skilled in this kind of thing. He said he would be at the house everyday managing the project. I never saw him again other than when he came to pick up his check. The roofers he subcontracted with were terrible. They were very destructive; they would just casually throw entire tile pieces off the roof into the yard and the driveway. They destroyed so many tiles that they had to reorder more tile twice! Even our friend nearly got hit in the head with a flying piece of tile being thrown off the roof! They would pile up broken tile on our front lawn and would not do anything unless we complained. They broke about $3000 worth of pool equipment which you can see in the pictures. They did pay for this, but the hassle of fixing it was very irritating. He is supposed to be managing these things - that's why we hired him, but once he gets you to sign, you'll never hear from him again. Even the insurance company said they would call and call for them to submit the paperwork, and they were nowhere to be found. After 9 months, the roof did get finished, but it was the worst house project to this day. I don't wish him ill, but managing is not Jack's strong suit, and he needs to take an ethics course about not lying to his customers. Edit: Response to Jack. Obviously you haven't changed as you will not take responsibility for the crap-storm of this project. Notice that he now only has 29 reviews on yelp because the false ones were taken down; This was one of the reasons I initially reached out. At the time I reached out there was over 150+ reviews. Question: Did you say that you would be at the site everyday? (My wife even remembers this statement). Were you at the site everyday? Were you at the site even once unless it was to get a check? How is this not lying? You probably don't remember even making this statement so in your mind you're good. My fault for not getting every statement in writing; lesson learned. So, I'm guessing you think that replacing a roof in 9 months is acceptable, and that I'm just another needy customer. My neighbor had his large tile roof replaced in 2 weeks. Your "beck and call" statement is ridiculous. We never spoke again after our first meeting, so please. Wanting a roof replaced within a reasonable time period is a perfectly acceptable desire. I went through the brother a few times and then a string of rotating employees with my complaints which most of the time were ignored. I was trying to hire Jack for an admittedly non-standard roofing job. I sent the details via Yelp with several photos. The business immediately responded that they would love to help me out with an estimate. A week later--no response. I followed up and eventually received an estimate for just gutter work, which was not what I asked for. I called Jack and explained. He said he'd need to come out in person and that the office would call to schedule an appointment. The office never called, so I followed up again and scheduled an in-person appointment. The day of the in-person appointment, Jack texted to cancel. He said he could do the estimate via photos. In other words, we went back to square 1 from weeks ago. We spoke on the phone, I sent more photos, and he said he should be able to provide an estimate that day. He never sent the estimate. I followed up a few days later via text and then via voicemail. He did not even bother to answer me. Jack clearly did not want the work and for that I can't really blame him, but the communication was unprofessional and I feel like Jack and company wasted my time. read more

On New Years Day I noticed a leak in my garage from the roof. I contacted a few roofers (including Jack). Jack's team got back to me the same day, on New Years Day. Jack came out two days later, arrived right on time and found the issue. He was honest and let me know my roof had a good two years left before I needed to start thinking about replacing it. He caulked the leak, along with caulking other parts over the whole roof (vents etc...). How much did he charge? Nothing. Just recommended in the next couple of years he come back to make sure the roof and everything is holding up. This is honesty at it's best and it's rare to find these days with contractors. I need to mention. I had another roofer come out the day before and they said my roof was totaled from hail damage and drew up a contract for replacement. So I went from a $2500 deductible, dealing with insurance to a free of charge quick fix. Also, the other contractor said the leak was coming from a spot that was not even right - Jack found the correct source of leak after doing a careful examination. This company was amazing to work with. They are honest, dependable, and their communication before, after, and during the job is probably one of the best I've come across. My home got hit hard by a hail storm and had to have the roof and gutters replaced and the house repainted.  My insurance company was a nightmare to deal with but Jack and his staff took care of managing the complicated insurance process by providing them the paperwork they needed to get the money we needed to get the repairs done.  Everyone that works for his company is friendly and respectful.  And most important, I am extremely satisfied with the extensive home repairs completed by Jack the Roofer and his staff. The work that Jack the Roofer did for me was good, but getting to the point of getting it done was something of an ordeal. I first made contact with Jack on April 7th, 2020. He didn't have a quote/bid for me until May 26th, and then the crew did the work on June 24th. So from first contact to job completion was more than 3 months. To be fair, this was for a small, low dollar, low priority job, so maybe that was part of the reason for the lack of urgency. The crew did fine work and was done in less than two hours. If you're looking for a job to be done, I'm sure these guys can do it, but be aware you might need to do some chasing. read more

Jack the Roofer did a great job on our roof in Golden. Brad and Jack were helpful and informative from the start. Their price was reasonable too. At first, I chose the wrong color shingles and only discovered the problem when they were delivered. Jack cheerfully sent them back and Brad brought out sample boards for me to look at (which I should have done in the first place). He crawled all over my snowy roof with the boards so I could get the best match. Aiden's crew worked like madmen and finished the job in one day, leaving the yard and surroundings clean. He was kind and patient with my lunatic dinosaur dog and the crew carefully closed the yard gate with the dogs in mind. I have a 1930 era tile roof and one of the tiles was broken. It is a VERY high roof in the area of the break. Jack came out to take a look and let me know what would be needed to fix. He ended up just doing the repair right there and then - I was very happy! And his price was very reasonable - as a matter of fact, I insisted on giving him more than he asked for since I expected it would cost considerably more. We had a leak around our chimney. Jack came and could have charged us a lot of money for fixing it, and we wouldn't have known any better. Instead, he showed us that the problem was much simpler and could be easily fixed for a small amount of money, but that we really needed a masonry contractor instead. He was extremely honest. Was very hopeful and it seemed promising since Jack responded right away and then came out and gave what seemed like an honest inspection. Then it took a turn. Communication is not a strong point for Jack. I waited over a week for a quote which was said to have the next day. I then had another company walking the neighborhood who said the whole roof needed to be replaced I then called Jack and asked if he could look at it and tell me if he thought it was necessary. He made it out a couple days later and sent me a message stating it was a stretch for the replacement but would help out. I sent a response back the same day via email and voicemail and now I've waited 17 days and no response back. I have a repair I need done and Jack seemed to be honest and trying to work with me but making a potential client/customer wait with no communication is a poor way to run a business that strives on customer service and word of mouth. read more

I am glad to see that others have had a good experiences with this company. I did not have the same luck. After three months of delays, no shows and confusion, my roof was not repaired. My initial appointment was with Jack. He was friendly and said my roof was no problem to fix. He knew the exact materials I needed and said that they weren't available locally - he would price them out and get me an estimate quickly. Over a week later, I had not heard anything, so I emailed to ask for an estimate. No response back. After two more weeks and two more requests, I got the estimate, approved it and asked Jack to order the materials and call when they arrive. He said he would. SIX weeks later, I get an email from Kylle saying it would be a good idea to order the materials for my job and schedule it. I mentioned that I had been waiting on them. Two days later, materials from local source arrive. (This seemed strange since Jack had said the materials weren't available locally). Ryan, a new contact, emails to say the work is scheduled for the end of the week. I wait around on the scheduled day all afternoon...No one shows up. Ryan calls and says sorry, he'll call back with a new appointment date. The next week I had not heard from him so I emailed and got no response. After a few more days, I emailed again expressing my frustration and I did hear back with a rescheduled appointment. On that day, I waited all day...workmen finally arrived at 4pm and began installing flat shingles on an area that is supposed to have ridge caps. They realized they didn't have the correct materials and left to get more. They returned with more of the wrong materials and said the ones they needed aren't available locally and they'll have to be ordered. The job has now been cancelled. I had some snow in my attic after a blizzard-type storm. I called Jack and asked him to come over and evaluate the situation. Jack was timely, professional and very knowledgeable. He had an idea as to the problem; however, he wanted to consult with a couple of other people before offering a solution. Turns out the problem was the positioning of the vents on my roof. Jack sent me over a detailed estimate with notes and pictures of the problem --- wow! Not only did he explain the problem; he showed me step-by-step what he could do to resolve the problem. I was just a small 'repair' job; but Jack treated me like his #1 customer. I've worked with a number of roofers over my 16 years in our house; but I've never come across anyone as attentive and customer-focused as Jack. I was also looking for some new gutters at the time because the cheap, builder-installed ones were rusting. Jack offered to provide a quote for the work. His price was competitive with others; and once I agreed to the proposal, Jack acted very quickly to schedule the work. I literally had brand new, perfectly installed gutters within 2 days! No one necessarily 'wants' to call a roofer --- but the occasional problem or hail storm will force you to do so. I would, without hesitation, recommend Jack for all your roofing/gutter needs.
