Altitude Contracting did a fantastic job on two projects, paint and gutters, on my house remodel in Idaho Springs. Kyle was fantastic to work with in coming out to give me a bid, bringing Saul for the paint estimate and looking over the project details. Kyle got me an estimate within a few days and broke it down so that we could choose some or all of the project now or in the future. He even recommended alternative approaches to the facia and soffit areas next to the gutter to help save money since this was not an insurance fix and I was paying direct from my pocket. Kyle, Saul and the teams were both professional and during the COVID-19 lockdown, they were respectful of social distancing and the crew wore masks when interacting with me for questions. Being up in the mountains it is difficult to find companies that will come up for multiple days, work around the weather and make sure everything is done to our satisfaction. Kyle touched base frequently to check on the schedule, responded quickly to both emails and texts, and stopped by the project for progress, and shared pictures with me as well. Saul came to check on progress and reassess weather delays. I appreciated the details on the written contract, adjustments to accommodate changes along the way (had to add a gutter extension to accommodate for better drainage) and the bids came in about low to mid-range against the multiple quotes I received. I was pushy to get the paint done quickly because the remodel had a lot of raw wood that I did not want to leave exposed to the elements for a long period of time. Saul and his team did their best to get it done quickly. Were there minor issues, yes, but they got resolved quickly with no complaint, including spending extra time to make sure every nook and cranny was painted - which was difficult due to a lot of intricate wood work detailing. Another example, the extra gutter downspout we had to add onsite they ran out of the color I had picked and used plain white gutters they had on hand, then painted it the same color as the house afterwards. Given the option to come back later with another colored piece of aluminum siding, I chose to just paint it since there were other gutters already getting painted and this downspout was at the back of the house. Overall, I am very pleased with the work, and I get a lot of compliments on the paint and the gutters have worked well so far. read more

Altitude Contracting is hands down the best out there in Colorado and I recommend them without hesitation. I live in Highlands Ranch and we were hit with a freak hail storm in June of this year that circled directly over my house with golf ball and grape sized hail for about an hour. Needless to say, my roof, deck and the siding of my house took a severe beating. I heard about Altitude Contracting from a friend, so I gave them a ring and the owner, Alex, handled everything from the beginning like a pro. He came to my house and met with my State Farm claims representative when they came out to inspect the damage, which really put my mind at ease because I know insurance companies can be shady about what they cover. Thankfully, they determined that my whole house was totaled so there was no back and forth over that. Because my roof wasn't leaking, I asked Alex if we could hold off on doing all of the work until the fall when I was sure no more hail storms would be blowing through, and he was incredibly accommodating and allowed me to schedule the work for mid-September. His actual teams that did the work were awesome. I didn't interact with the roofers much, but they were in and out within a day (I have a small roof) and since I work from home, their expediency was much appreciated. My whole house and deck were repainted and refinished, so I did get a lot of interaction with the painters and they were AMAZING. They had several suggestions, one of which was painting the trim a different color than the main color of the house, which was a brilliant suggestion, and my house looks so much spiffier because of it. Alex took care of all dealings with the insurance company, which was so appreciated since I'm a new homeowner and frankly had no idea what I was doing. He also dealt with all overnight mailings of insurance checks to my mortgage company for endorsing which was a small detail that I'm also very grateful for. I wish I could give these guys 10 stars instead of 5 because they truly earned it. Hopefully, I won't need another new roof anytime soon (stay away, hail!) but if I do, Altitude Contracting has my business for life. Thanks so much for everything!! read more

Altitude Contracting replaced the roof on our home in Lafayette this spring including all the gutters. We also had them paint all the trim on our home. We could not be more pleased with the results and I am happy to give Kyle and his team/crew my unconditional recommendation. As our Project Manager, Kyle was very responsive and kept us informed at every step in the process. Our roofing crew lead by Johnnie was excellent. His team worked their tails off over the course of the 3 days it took to complete the job. They were all polite and conscientious, taking time to clean up after each day on the job. Thanks to Johnnie's experience and expertise he discovered a problem with the slope (lack thereof) of a flat portion of the roof and brought it to our attention. He recommended and implemented a solution that solved the drainage problem without adding any additional cost to the project. Our painting crew led by Saul Renteria was also excellent. He helped my wife select the perfect color and his team did a great job. They are a hard-working group and were very thoughtful and professional. They also coordinated with the gutter crew as all the gutters needed to be painted to match the house. The finished product looks amazing! Altitude Contracting was great. Summary: super responsive, on top of everything, went above and beyond. Long story: We needed a new roof, but along with that, I wanted to remove an old swamp cooler, take out a defunct furnace and water heater stack, get rid of two "whirlybird" vents and replace them with something more streamlined, like box vents or a ridge vent. I reached out to Altitude Contracting, and John (project manager) got back to me right away. He came over, answered all my questions and walked me through the process of submitting an insurance claim. I submitted my claim, and John came out to meet the insurance rep so he could be on hand during the inspection. Altitude scheduled the roof replacement within a couple weeks, and John stayed in touch with me to keep me updated. The crew showed up early on install day -- along with John and the company owner, who came by just to introduce himself and make sure everything was on track. I wanted to install a ridge vent with the new roof, but our house didn't have soffit vents to make a ridge vent more effective. After discussing with John, he found a handyman to cut and install soffit vents and handled all the scheduling for that side project. I didn't have to do anything. There was a little hiccup with a ladder making a couple small scrapes on our siding. John got some paint (which he had to take back to get the color to match perfectly) and did the touchups himself. The company did everything by the book: They pulled a building permit, and the roof passed inspection on the first go. I could not be happier with the result. These guys are great. P.S. As a woman who often hires/works with men for various home improvement projects, I really appreciated John's no-BS, no-condescension approach. They never seem to be reachable or good at honest communication, which leaves, us the customer feeling unimportant and like another sale in the books for the contractor. However, my experience with Altitude Contracting was just the opposite. From the minute I contacted Alex Burke (the owner), the process was smooth and painless. First off Alex scheduled an appointment with me within 24hrs, which was very accommodating. Alex arrived on time and was very professional. He took the time to closely inspect my problematic roof and reviewed all options with me. Within a day he had a very professional and detailed estimate that included exactly what I would get and what I could expect to pay. Our insurance company gave us issues on some of the things that they felt shouldn't be covered. Alex took it upon himself to go to bat for us with the insurance adjusters and got everything approved! He saved us so much time and the headache from fighting with the insurance company ourselves. Alex was communicative and present for each step of our roof replacement. He would send photos and updates and was always available for any questions that we had. I have never had a contractor take the time to make sure that we knew we were a top priority. The major hail storm of 2018 was a new try. After getting the cars claimed and noticing new roofs on houses on the block. My wife said to try again on the roof. I went to my neighbors home, got the name Jack from Altitude Contracting. He and his company had just finished a couple of homes by us and they looked great. I called Jack, told him our back story and that I called the insurance company for a inspection. Jack came out did his inspection and wrote up his review. In the mean time the insurance company approved us for whole roof replacement including gutters. I submitted Jacks pictures and paper work and the insurance company approved them. I talked to Jack about the deck and some questions about it. He came out took more pictures, wrote up that the deck needed to be replaced. I submitted that paper work and it was approved before the roof work started. When the work started the new roof deck and roofing supply's were all here ready to go. He insured that we were happy with the colors of the new gutters and downspouts before that work started. Jack answered EVERY question I had and worked with me and my insurance company when needed to insure that everything was covered. He went way above the call of duty, I would get calls or texts checking in before the job and during the job when he was not here. He's a very busy man but he still took the time to make sure we were covered, all questions answered and closed. The house looks great and almost new, with the face lift. This company absolutely earns 5 stars. I would give them 10 if I could. It was because of their high rating that I contacted them regarding a roof estimate and they IMMEDIATELY responded - with such enthusiasm and respect. They sent over Kyle in what exactly fit my timeframe. Kyle kept in touch us (by email and text at our request) until he came to our home (early in fact). Our roof is actually pretty intimidating and steep, yet he immediately set about getting on top. He was professional, very personable and very knowledgeable. He pointed out each area of our roof that needed attention - and those areas that he felt only need a little TLC that we could take care of ourselves. Told us what was more important and what could wait. He gave us excellent sound advice and suggestions about how to maintain specific areas so that they wouldn't need repair. He went above and beyond to let us know what our options were - several of which meant we could save money instead of spend it needlessly. Christmas Winds produced a new present for us in 2017, a new roof! While not much fun to have to get a new roof, after vetting 6 companies and doing our research on different products being offered by most roofing companies, we landed happily on Altitude Contracting. Alex Burke was great to work with and stepped us through the whole process. He promised a lot and delivered on all of it! We selected the Owens Corning Tru Definition Duration shingles and couldn't be happier. They are rated excellent for high winds and has a huge warranty! If you are in the market for a roof, call Alex. I don't promote just anyone, they have to have made a big impression on me to deserve this accolade. It is a nice surprise to know that a contracting roofing company has integrity, and honor in fulfilling their word on promises made and I would even add, going above and beyond with communication. This past spring we got hit by a bad hail storm that caused damage to our gutters, roof, and window shudders. So we notified our insurance company and started looking for companies to replace our roof. Can't say enough about the attentiveness, care and concern that this company demonstrates from first contact to last and throughout the job completion process. My Dad is an 81 year old, life time resident of Denver and lives independently in a 41 year old, flat roof home in North Denver that sustained measurable damage in the May hailstorm this year. He also has Allstate insurance which comes with a good deal of red tape and politics in natural disaster circumstances. Altitude was excellent every step of the way on our roof rebuild. After a hail storm caused damage to the roof of our 100+ year old townhome, we knew we needed to get it assessed for damages. Altitude came out and looked at both sides of the duplex for free. Our neighbor's insurance company covered a roof replacement right away, while ours did not. Altitude worked with us to fight it and to convince the adjuster that our side should be covered for a rebuild as well. Once that got approved, they continued working with both insurance companies to ensure that the new roof was built to the latest code stipulations. The rebuild itself was very well-done and well-documented, with pictures of each step sent to my email. This was especially helpful since we had moved out-of-state prior to the roof replacement. After it was completed we had some additional hang-ups with our insurance company and mortgage lender, but Altitude was patient and cooperative throughout the process until everything got resolved. We hired Altitude Contracting after a bad hailstorm with golf ball sized hail. I was immediately impressed by their clean presentation and name tags and professional demeanor. They didn't pressure my husband and I to sign up with them, but offered services in a non pushy manner. The crew they hired to do our roof was amazing, they finished in one day! And they were clean, courteous and very nice. The gutter company just finished putting on new gutters, and they were equally professional and went out of their way to answer my questions about whether to get gutter shields or not, and again, not pushy at all. I am anticipating that the windows and painting companies through Altitude will be equally pleasant to work with. A friend mine referred me to Altitude Contracting and I'm glad he did. I had a hole in my roof and called Altitude to come out and take a look. They found storm damage and said the roof was getting close to end of life. They identified hail damage on the roof, garage door, gutters and, painted trim and screens. My insurance company came out and verified their findings. Kyle was the project manager overseeing all my work. He is ethical and professional and I really enjoyed working with him and the rest of the crew. I own a tudor home so the roof was steep which requires higher skilled workers to complete the work. It looks fantastic! The roofing crew, gutter company, screen repair and painting crew all showed up when they said they would and did a great job. I liked the painter so much I had him completely paint the inside and outside of my house. He was top notch, as were all the subcontractors Kyle and Altitude used. After the May hailstorm we chose Altitude from several other roofing contractors because they are located in the neighborhood and did not put a lot of pressure on us to quickly sign a contract. They also did not try to push us to be the exclusive contractor for our home repairs, which was important because we had other vendors in line for some other repairs. Although the repairs couldn't take place for several months after we signed the contract, John kept us informed about the progress and handled some of the communications with our insurance company. The roof replacement took about 4 days because of the scale of the project and some cold weather, but the crew was constantly working when they could to expedite the job. Everything seemed to go smoothly, and the cleanup afterwards was done well. John had excellent attention to detail and was around to check on progress and help when it was needed. Altitude Contracting was a pleasure to work with. They were extremely nice, courteous, and professional. I got introduced to Altitude Contracting from a friend who had gotten their roof done last year during the hail storms. My roof had developed a leak and Alex Burke, the owner, and a member of his staff came out at 6:30 at night to tarp my roof to prevent any further damage. About two weeks later, they met with my insurance company and my roof was denied the first time. Alex fought tooth and nail to get the insurance company to pay for what they rightfully owed due to hail damage. After the re-inspection by State Farm, he got them to agree to pay for the roof. If I had tried this on my own, I would've been completely lost. Altitude Contracting really streamlined the entire process and really helped me and my home. Taylor Stroop and Altitude Contracting replaced a roof covering on our garage that had been damaged by hail. Several other contractors had looked at the damage, promised to provide an estimate to repair the damage, but then disappeared. Taylor Stroop took photos of the damage and gave us an estimate within days. He and others from Altitude Contracting returned to take more photos, measure the roof, advise us on the possible repairs, and delivered samples of the materials to be used for the repairs. Taylor kept us informed of the process through periodic E-Mails. The work was actually completed while we were on a mini-vacation, and Taylor E-Mailed us photos of the new roof when the work was done. From beginning to completion, Taylor was responsive to our questions and very professional in his work with us. The new roof covering looks terrific.
