Both the food and drinks were excellent! They were a bit busy but the server tried really hard and was very sweet. The patio was really nice. Shady with a nice breeze and the gate provides enough of a barrier you're not worried about being run over by an errant tourist. I wish they had maybe a few more food options for like dairy free or vegan but it's a French restaurant and that's also not really the vibe for French food lol. Would def come back!

What a perfect little French bistro! My friend took me here for brunch and oh my, this was such a great meal! It's the kind of food I expect in Paris or Europe but not really in Seattle so it was such a lovely surprise! I selected from their house made terrines and it was the best I've had in a long time! I wished they'd sell it to take home! I will most definitely be coming back here next time I'm back in Seattle.

Visit: 1st Date: 3/3/26 Time: 5:57pm What they got right: Friendly service and delicious food. Areas for improvement: n/a We walked in without a reservation and were seated at the bar since it was only 2 of us. The bartender was friendly, took our order, and refilled our drinks promptly. The ambiance was that of a friendly neighborhood cafe. It felt warm and welcoming. Hubby had the steak frites and loved it. I loved the foie de volaille we ordered as an appetizer. It was smooth and rich so I appreciated the pickles and mustard that was served with it. We couldn't finish our appetizer so they packed it for us with some bread. I recommend this place for your next adventure!

An adorable casual bistro near Pike's that serves up rustic French Fare. BF got a diet coke ($5) and the baguette sandwich ($15) and I got the 3-Charcuterie plate ($16) with pate and terrine. We also had some baguette and butter. Pros: -The variety of charcuterie was so impressive! I love pate / terrine. -I wish I got the waitresses name because she was so lovely and charming and sweet :) Cons -Almost everything on the menu was "not available" when we went. No steak, no soup, no chicken, some of the terrines were out. -Baguette was not warm. So strangely, at the end of the day you do really feel like you're paying to have some cold baguette and ham in a cute bistro at Pike's. At least we weren't charged for them :D -BF was not impressed with his sandwich. Gratuity is automatically included.

Uhm yum!!!!! didn't get a good view of my beignets , but they were phenomenal!!!!!

The food and service here were excellent, and it's nice to see that not much has changed since my last visit. Everything came out fresh and flavorful, and the benedicts are anything but traditional with creative twists that definitely stand out. Portions were generous, and on the food alone it felt like a solid experience. That said, there are a few things that keep me from considering a return. The 20% service charge is clearly stated, but it could be more transparent whether that means tipping isn't expected. Sitting inside is likely the better choice, as we were heavily harassed by a homeless man outside, and despite trying to flag staff for help, no one seemed to notice. It didn't ruin the meal completely, but it left us feeling uncomfortable. great food, but not a place I feel drawn to go back to.

We were visiting Seattle and were really excited to try Le Pichet as we had seen it recommended so many times. We called to book a table the day before and were told they only had availability at 5pm and the table would be needed back at 6.30pm, which we were fine with given we really wanted to try this spot. We arrived at 5pm promptly, excited to try the food, and were not given the warmest welcome. Our waitress arrived and she was much friendlier than the guy greeting guests. We ordered a bottle of Vouvray and large charcuterie board to start. The charcuterie board was great, with some of the best pates we have had. For mains I ordered the mussels and my husband ordered the pork belly. My mussels arrived and the portion was a little small and it didn't look the most appetising. The flavour wasn't my favourite, with the bacon overwhelming the dish. The fries were very good though (well cooked and seasoned). When the pork arrived it looked a little undercooked, with very pale and soft skin. When my husband cut into the pork it was cold and inedible. We mentioned this to the waitress who took the pork back to the kitchen. A little while later my husband was presented with the same pork chop which had just been cooked a bit more (even down to the piece that he had cut off to eat still being on the plate). At this point we decided to leave and asked for the bill. The team did kindly comp our food, which we didn't ask for or expect, so that was a nice touch. Although, when leaving the restaurant the host was also a fairly rude and dismissive, ignoring us when we said goodbye and wishing him a nice evening. To top off our experience about 45 minutes after leaving the restaurant I was pretty sick for several hours. All in all we can't recommend this restaurant, nor would we return. If you are looking for French food in Seattle I would recommend looking elsewhere.

From food to service is been great as today. It's our first time there. We enjoyed time and food. However the down side. the bill it's auto Grat 18% I believe for our table of 2 people. Normally we tips 20% or more I got it when five or more. Other than that it's great.

Cute little French spot with a few outdoor tables. We enjoyed our glasses of wine and pate. Seems like their indoor tables book up with reservations, so plan ahead if you want to dine inside. They do charge a mandatory 20% service charge, so keep an eye out for that.

Le Pichet's steak frites is easily one of the best in Seattle. My steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. Candidly, I was very surprised by how flavorful and tender it was. The fries were crispy and highly addictive, especially when dipped in some mayo that I had asked for on the side. Huge thanks to the friendly waiter who let us squeeze in between two tight reservations -- made the experience even better!

Small restaurant with limited seating, bustling with happy diners

What a charming find! The food was absolutely delicious and authentic! We enjoyed a lovely charcuterie as a starter with a salad and then sampled the fish of the day and the sinful hot chocolate. Together with the free flowing bread, we felt like we were in a Parisian cafe. Service was excellent

Le Pichet was recommended by a local friend when I visited Seattle for work. She ended up taking me out, and we had one of the best meals throughout my trip. I always love me a local, rustic, warm and cozy food place, and they serve authentic French cuisine with a northwest twist. Service was the best here. Everyone was happy ans friendly. We got ourselves an assortment of pate, onion soup, and seared duck breast. I'm a fan of pate so I couldn't help myself. I had one of the best chicken liver pate here at Le Pichet. It was so livery, creamy, so so good that I ended up getting more AND togo more back to my hotel. Onion soup was packed with flavors as well. Nice sear on the duck, really tender. They also surprised me with a Basque Cheesecake for my birthday, and it was also really good. This was easily one of the best French restaurants I've been to, and I highly recommend when you visit Seattle.

Wonderful casual French bistro on 1st ave a few blocks from Pike Place Market. The Croque Madame was perfect - tasty bread and broiled cheese. I'll have this here again next time. Their salads were well-dressed and had a generous amount of yummy toppings (Gorgonzola chunks, candied walnuts, figs). French onion soup was "4 out of 5" per my partner - recommended, very good, and worth having again.

    Do they take reservations only?

My friend and I were walk ins! They do seem to get busy at night and there might be a wait but walk ins are accepted.

Do they still sell steak frites?

Yes, not in the menu itself but they're available at 11:30AM until close. From 5-9pm (dinner time) they come with the steak.

A day before embarkation, we decided to stay one night downtown, and Purple was conveniently located just across the street from the Fairmont Hotel and within walking distance of several hotels in the area. One of the reasons we chose this restaurant was its selection of vegetarian options, which was especially appreciated by our close friend. The vibe is quite inviting: dark wood and rich décor create a cozy atmosphere, while the tall windows flanking the front and side of the restaurant keep the space feeling open and airy. The bar is definitely the centerpiece of the room, featuring a dramatic two-story circular staircase adorned with hundreds of bottles of wine. We started the evening with a round of cocktails, just getting warmed up for the unlimited drinking that awaited us on the cruise. Our drinks were well crafted and enjoyed by all. For dinner, we had: * House Cut Fries * Beet Salad * Braised Short Rib ~ pappardelle, port cream, blistered tomato and sage * Shiitake & Pesto ~ orecchiette, scallion-cashew pesto, snap peas and Calabrian chili crisp * Bistro Burger ~ pure country beef, sharp white cheddar, crispy onions, black pepper & chive aioli and arugula * Risotto ~ stracciatella, zucchini, maitake mushroom, poblano and basil * Crème Brûlée ~ vanilla bean, turbinado sugar Everything was good; however, the service was even better. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the pacing of the dishes was perfect. Nothing felt rushed, yet we were never left waiting. Purple makes a great date-night spot, but it's equally well suited for gathering with a group of friends or co-workers. It's a lively, happy spot with a welcoming atmosphere; the perfect place to begin a Seattle stay before setting sail for Alaska.

This used to be one of my favorite spots at Pike Market. For years, I made it a tradition to bring out-of-town guests here. Over time, I have brought more than 100 people here. It had a charming, warm, and welcoming feel--like a hidden gem in the city. It oozed with kindness and fun. Unfortunately, that has completely flipped! Since the new manager, Anthony, took over, the entire atmosphere has shocked me. What was once inviting now is rigid, cold, and unwelcoming. The biggest issue, however, was the way I was treated. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, which was both surprising and disappointing given my long history with this place. Great establishments are built not just on food or ambiance, but on how people are treated--and that piece is clearly missing now. It's especially unfortunate because the rest of the team still shows glimpses of what this place used to be. Jordon, was genuinely kind and pleasant, but one positive interaction couldn't outweigh the manager's miserable attitude. It's hard to see a place that once felt so special lose its charm like this. I know the winemaker Paul is a great person - so it is hard to leave such a terrible review, but at the same time, if this was my place -- I would want to know what was happening behind the scenes at my establishment. I truly hope leadership reflects on how customer experience is being handled moving forward. Don't give money to places that have toxic attitudes and are joy crushers! Life is too short and far too precious! In the meantime, there are many nearby spots that consistently deliver both quality and incredible hospitality. Skip this place, and instead go to Browne Family Vineyards Tasting Room, The Lonely Siren, The Pink Door, Place Pigalle, or Maximilien. Those places are working very hard to create an exceptional experience!
