First one through the door this morning at Le Peep in Westminster. I came for a little post workout breakfast and had to wait for 10 minutes as this breakfast joint (and a number of others in the area) don't open until 6:30. No big deal I have the time this morning. When I walked in I was greeted right away and seated on the patio. My server, Adriana, brought me a carafe of coffee and water and took my order of the lumberjack breakfast. This is not my usual morning breakfast style but I really wanted pancakes. The food came out in an appropriate amount of time. The food was good but not great but this is a simple meal. Pancakes were fluffy and tasty. Personally I would have preferred the potatoes to have a little crisp to them but these potatoes have a TM on the menus so I would assume they are always soft not crispy. The sausage was the standout. Not shriveled breakfast sausage a lot of places serve but 2 nice fat and juicy links. Very tasty too. Howdy all. Oddly enough, I went to breakfast twice this week. See my review on Caitlin's over off CO blvd and Mississippi. The place: It was pretty clean and the atmosphere was decent. The music was way too loud if you are anywhere near a speaker. Staff: Sloooooowwwww.... 'read this In your best NY Italian'. Oy, dese people hea, dey don't know what fast is. Yes, it was frustrating, I wasn't sure we were going to get to order. Food:: It wasn't the worst I've had, but it wasn't what I would call average. Bland and just kinda slopped together. The scrambled eggs looked like an egg had been tossed in with some egg substitute and kinda mixed. The texture wasn't right and I'm sure some people couldn't eat it. I went here twice while on vacation recently. Pluses: -offering gluten-free breakfast at all while being very knowledgeable about cross contamination. -offering ingredient lists for other food allergies -having a pitcher of water at the table -great customer service -good tea selection -the food was great. Cons: -the food seemed to always be a little on the cold side. But.... gluten-free diners can't be picky especially when it comes to breakfast. They're slow to even greet us at the table to take drink orders, then consistently get orders wrong, and seem almost annoyed that we need something. Makes the food not as good. It truly pains me to have to use this word, but it's the best word I can think of for Le Peep: adorable. Quaint and adorable. The place feels like a bed and breakfast - the kind of place where you might know the owner because he goes to your church or something. The environment is excellent, but the food is phenomenal. They have a good selection of breakfast and brunch food as well as a small selection of lunch items. The pancakes are great, the eggs are great, and the breakfast potatoes are amazing. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal at Le Peep. When I lived close to the restaurant, I ate here almost every weekend, and I'm pretty sure I enjoyed every single experience. The prices are cheap, the service is excellent, and the food is fantastic. I highly recommend the stuffed french toast with strawberry topping. You'll never set foot in an IHOP again. read more

I had a similar experience as another reviewer this morning. Decided to try it since it is located whitin walking distance from us. I agreed on the orange juice being from a box and not "freshly squeezed" for $7.99. I know my fresh food. And this wasn't freshly squeezed. Also, my companion ordered a breakfast deal for 10$ which they tried to ring up itemized, which of course ended up more expensive! And to finish with, I ordered salmon egg benedicts, worse I've ever ate in my life, call me a food snob but, it had advertised on the picture "smoked salmon" not a big steak of it, with very little hollandaise sauce, and awful English muffins.... to top it off with the worse potatoes ever, overly salted and soggy.... So all this below average food came out to a 34$ bill with very little to no satisfaction to my taste buds! Unnecessary to say, this will be my last visit to peep! Bye bye birdie! read more

LePeep is consistently fantastic. We hit up this location over the holiday with the parents who were in town. Breakfast was great, their coffee is fantastic as always (they have a different flavored coffee option every day). I'd recommend the french toast (part of the 18 wheeler combo) and the eggs benedict (the regular one, not the fancy ones with crab cakes & spinach in them). Plus, you can just sit there after your meal and chat and drink coffee without being chased out (unlike The Egg & I). Also, I've never had to wait for a table here (again, unlike The Egg & I). Love LePeep. Will definitely be heading here again. read more

Wow! It's been a long time since I've had great service at any restaurant. Our server, Martine, made our day with a welcoming smile, fun jokes and incredible fast service. We popped in for brunch on Sunday. Having browsed Yelp quickly just before I walked in, I decided to try the freshly squeezed orange juice to start. We ordered a liter ($7.99). Now, I've had plenty of freshly squeezed orange juice before, and I've also drank plenty of supermarket juices, so I'd like to think I know the difference. When the juice arrived at our table, it did not look like freshly squeezed juice. Consistency was similar and there was very little pulp. It also had that dull orange color that looked like it was from a bottle. We tasted it and BAM- came the suspicious and familiar zingy taste of citric acid from a supermarket branded juice. Now, I'm sure they have served fresh juice before, and I can't imagine why they would dare to serve us something that most definitely came out of a bottle. Perhaps they ran out of oranges today and thought we couldn't tell the difference? Service was great, food was so-so, typical diner style quality. We did not want to put the server in a difficult spot by quizzing him about the juice, so we just let it side and forcefully drank down all the juice. But the fact that they deceived us and had us pay $7.99 for a liter of 'freshly squeezed' orange juice makes me never want to support this business again. read more

Wanted to do brunch today and this was the closest place. I should have driven an extra fifteen minutes to anywhere else. The food was average at best-the salmon Benedict was meh, potatoes were ok, coffee was drinkable, eggs were meh too. The waitstaff was super sweet but slightly frazzled, despite that I'd still give 5 stars for the service. Unfortunately the food was just not awesome and I can't do more than 2 stars for that. I've been to a few other Le Peep's and have visited this location once before as well. We stopped in on Saturday morning to grab a late breakfast. Initially I couldn't decide if I wanted breakfast or lunch - so I really like that this place has quite a few lunch offerings on the menu as well. After looking at their seasonal specials, we both decided on the Rio Grande Corncake benedict. It was decent - but the eggs were definitely overcooked. The corncakes delicious, and the chile was good as well. I loved the fresh avocado on the top, but as someone who's iffy about eggs to begin with, the rubbery and overcooked eggs just didn't do it for me. I ended up pushing them to the side and eating the rest. I'll give it another go because it's close, and they have some good looking menu options, but I don't know that it's going to be my go-to breakfast place. read more

I judge restaurants in general by a very simple pair of questions: could I make this and could I make this better? When I ate at Le Peep this morning, the answer to these questions was yes, a resounding yes. The scrambled eggs were some of the worst I've ever had, and the rest of the food just tasted old and very bland. The only decent thing on my plate was the english muffin. I give the 3 star rating because the service was very pleasant and the place was at least clean. There are better breakfast places around, for example, the Le Peep in Boulder. This is a cute and quaint cafe to have a great breakfast. I enjoyed the Lumberjack, but there was so much food, I had to take the blueberry pancakes home with me (great snack for later!) Next time I'll try the Eighteen Wheeler, which comes with french toast instead. Both are very reasonably priced for the large servings. It's a small eatery, but attention to detail is wonderful (e.g., ice water in a wine carafe with sliced lemons on the table with little drinking cups; cinnamon sprinkled around the lip of the (soup) bowl of oatmeal served with brown sugar and fruit; the server pours your coffee at the table and leaves the carafe). Google searched breakfast in my area, this was the closest spot! After a small struggle finding the location(had to call, because googles address, as well as Waze, was incorrect) we sat down and ordered some fancy breakfast drinks. They were spectacular. Ordered the eighteen wheeler and Belgian waffle combos, and the serving proportions were perfect, and the food tasted amazing. Absolutely will be visiting back in! My boyfriend and I eat brunch here nearly every weekend. We have never had anything we didn't like. The Aspen Crepe (crepes with ricotta and cream cheese inside) is my standby if I'm really hungry. They always have something yummy on their seasonal menu- the worst part about that is that it goes away with the end of the season. Right now from the Winter Menu I've tried the Cinnamonster cinnamon roll and French Toast Waffles (or Waffle French Toast? It's French Toast they put in a waffle iron). Both were delicious! Their specialty coffee drinks are usually pretty good too. I also always get a side of bacon because they make it just the way I like it: crispy but not crumbly. They get super busy on the weekends so sometimes the servers aren't quite as attentive as I like (slow on refills, or a bit too rushy, etc) but we have never had bad service. read more

I ordered a "build your own omelette" and asked for 2 vegetables to be in the omelette. When I received it, the wrong veggies were added. I mentioned it to the waitress as I did not eat my omelette due to the ingredients added instead. She only apologized for her mistake and deducted 1.25 off the price of an omelette I did not eat. Staff here needs to learn to correct food mistakes or risk losing good customers. Our bill was over $40. but I did not get what we paid for. read more

Not even sub par. I went with my boyfriend on a slow weekday morning and the service was deplorable. The manager tried to seat us right next to the restroom in an empty restaurant. After explaining that we didn't want to sit there, he said to just sit wherever. The waitress comes over with a high pitched disingenuous voice. The food we received was obviously scraps and was not made to fit the order we had put in. My boyfriends monte christo was mushy and had breadsticks on the side for BREAKFAST. The ham was replaced by bacon and there were over ripened strawberries on top. No one would feed this to their dog. My "over medium" egg was gooey as all get out. We won't be back and we won't encourage anyone to spend their hard earned money on this slop and terrible service. read more

I realize that this is a chain, but I have been going here for a really long time and I really enjoy the service, how clean it is and friendly the staff is. The place always seems to be busy which is a good thing. I always meet friends from out of state here as it is one of my favorite morning places to go that is cheap and I don't have t worry about breaking the bank. Someone one must wait 10-15 minutes for service and to be seated but that just tells me that the restaurant is full and that this is a place I want to be. Once seated, they always have smiling servers who are friendly, helpful and they are fast. Even with a full restaurant I can get food in a timely manner, it is fresh and tastes like it is fresh and not canned. I come here when I wake up early enough to come to this place. read more

Insulation to keep the facility warm is a fundamental component to a fine dining experience. I had cold feet, but then the food made up for it. It (at least) was warm...which may account for the bacon being so overdone. Great service once seated, but I saw one party leave after having waited for quite some time without being addressed. No, it's not that. Nor is it the restaurant etiquette of not carrying cups/glasses by the rims which was not observed. It's certainly not the fact that they were greatly understaffed. No it's just that we are so darned easy to please. Oh, and the food: adequate, quite tasty, but uninspired. We had many different dishes, and all of us were satisfied and didnt leave hungry. I eat at LePeeps at 88th and. Wadsworth,regularly. I almost always have Carman wait on me. She is the best and my food is always exactly like I like it. I am not sure I would go to LePeeps that often if Carman wasn't there. I also think this restaurant is very well managed and runs very smoothly. read more

We have eaten here a few times in the past and had fairly good results. Not our go to spot but if we are in the area it works. This time however, was not a good experience. We were sat at a table that was in a bad location. It was in the path of everything. It was almost as if they were trying to fit extra tables in because the patio was closed. We had a large table behind us and they were bumping us getting in and out. The servers were bumping into the other side Everytime they walked by. Our server was very disinterested in meeting our needs. Did not listen well to what we asked for, and was not attentive. When asked, they did fix the issue. One of our meals was a scramble with broccoli. That was like frozen tasting and not worth eating. We most likely will not return. read more
