Ordered a burrito and ask for no onions. Burrito came out full of onions. Told her to please credit for the burrito of 12.95 that I didn't eat. She spoke to manager and she was told the green chili sauce has onions in it. The waitress should have known that and told me so I could have ordered something else. Twice I have visited and twice I have enjoyed myself. The giant carafe of fresh coffee at my table guarantees life won't be that bad. Oh and a carafe of water? Perfect!!!! My pancake was fluffy. My omelette was cooked correctly and filled with good veggies. It was pretty good sized for a "mini" omelette. I suppose a two egg is mini in their establishment and that's still plenty for me. Really good! I got the country Benedict with whole grain muffin. It's different from Benedict's from other restaurants. Here, they put the muffin to the side and the eggs on top of the harsh browns. I should have ordered an extra English muffin since there were more eggs and harsh browns, but overall it was great! read more

I went here a few times for brunch because it's nearby my home and I had a couple of Groupons, which allowed me to try multiple things on different visits. I think overall the food is okay, it's probably really crowded on Sundays because there's not many other brunch places around the Irving area, that I know of... or maybe people really do love this place. I do like their Nutella crepes though, but it's NUTELLA. VERY hard to screw that one up. So delicious though. Also, their Pandhandled Desperado skillet was good. It was a little too salty. They have salsa on there, which is kind of a weird combination, in my opinion, so I asked them to leave that out. They actually messed up my order and put it in there, and I gave it a try, but yeah.. no. It was weird. As much as I hate to waste food, I had to have them send out another one. So wasteful, but I couldn't eat it. I love pancakes, so I ordered it here once with a side of sausage links. They have one called the "plain pancakes" and as the name suggests, it really was plain. Plain and dry. It was supposed to be their signature batter, too. They leave water pitchers on each table with a couple of glasses so you can pour it yourself. They leave slices of lemon in there for what seems like long periods of time because it starts to have that bitter lemon taste to it from the lemon peel... Probably to hide taste of unfiltered water. Gross. I probably won't be back here anytime soon as there are plenty of brunch places in Dallas to try, many of which are much better than Le Peep. read more

This place is excellent for brunch, especially on the weekend (although wait times can be as long as 35 minutes then). Although I think there are a couple other locations, it does not feel like a chain; it has a distinctly local vibe. Everything I've had there has been good, and the service is usually very good as well. I think it can be best described as a small scale, homey version of Waffle House, except with fresher tasting food and delicious seasonal specials. Here's the dip: I keep going back despite knowing the wait staff (read as disclosure) there. I pay full price (Just what good is it knowing someone there??). I keep gravitating toward my favorite breakfast "The Wanderer" which is "a skillet filled with Peasant Potatoes®, crisp bacon, onions, tomatoes and combo cheese all topped with two basted eggs" or if it's lunch, the "California Turkey" which has "Turkey, Bacon, melted Swiss cheese all nestled in a grilled flat bread with mayonnaise, avocado, lettuce and tomato". Hey, I like the other stuff as well but I spose I'm just a creature of habit. I'll still keep going back till they shu me away! Bottom line: The food and service is consistently good. I always forget about Le Peep, they send me emails all of the time about their specials but still it's probably been 2 years since I've been there. Le Peep has the best breakfast in the area and that's one of the reasons to go there because who doesn't love breakfast for lunch. My favorite is Migas, eggs scrambled with jalapenos, chorizo and cheese. Breakfast is really good doesn't take generic like IHOP although I do love I hope, it has more of a down home country breakfast flavor. Breakfast is my suggestion but I wouldn't pass on the sandwiches especially the ultimate BLT. Today was my first time ever going to Le Peep. My mom flew in from NC and wanted to meet some girlfriends there for breakfast. When we got there, we were quickly accommodated and got our drinks as we waited for our party to join us. I recommend their hazelnut coffee, it's so. Good. The service was excellent and our server was attentive but gave us our space, which was great. Now, the food. I got the lumberjack breakfast. The pancakes were bigger than my face but it was all made by the hands of Christ himself. (I write this as I'm eating my leftover pancakes.) I switched out eggs for fruit but I'm sure the eggs were delicious as well. The only time we were silent was while we ate and while we sat and thought about the food we just devoured. Everything, and I mean everything, has meat, eggs, and/or cheese. The staff member I encountered was un-educated with regard to ways people eat. Translation, he didn't know the meaning of the word vegan. When I explained the concept, he suggested fruit and yogurt. While I admit I caught him off guard (He certainly wasn't being offensive; he really was trying to think of /anything/ on the menu that wasn't fat-laden.), he just didn't have the grasp I needed to be able to eat there. Went to Le Peep for brunch this morning and it was ok. Both of us had eggs benedict, myself the house version and my husband the one with smoked salmon. It was ok, nothing extraordinary. The hollandaise was sub par. The potatoes served as an accompaniment were dry. The service and atmosphere was also ok. There was nothing that made the place special. It seemed to be a good place for families and people with little children. The menu was large and there were many many options to choose from. Under protest was the first time I ever went to a place called "Le Peep" because I value my man card. However, I wanted healthy-ish food for lunch with a group of guys that aren't the manliest crew I've ever seen. Food: The best way I could describe the food as a higher end Denny's or IHOP with better healthy food options. They have several items with egg whites and egg white omelets that are decent and have a lot of options to accompany them. I tried the wheat french toast with bananas and blueberries with egg whites and turkey sausage. The french toast looked and tasted amazing and everything else was pretty bland, but that is expected with healthy food. Nothing that a little Tabasco couldn't remedy. The syrup wasn't thick and it didn't have anything spectacular about it, but it served its purpose. Overall: B- Atmosphere: Plain. Very Plain. They have a lot of pastel colored cups and plates and the walls are very bright, but that is the entire character of the place. The layout is a bit strange in that everything is in one large room but there are different levels that different tables are on. It feels like an old diner trying to be La Madeleine. Overall C Service: Not much to say here, it is serviceable. My waiter seemed out of place and like he should be serving pizza in Deep Ellum. Nothing against the guy but you'd imagine someone different from a place that has a French name that is shared with Easter candy. He was average on about everything which is good enough for me. Overall: B Factoring in everything, it gets three stars. This is probably the best three star place I have reviewed and the best option around me that has fast healthy food. Recently had my first LePeep experience here thanks to a Groupon I bought for this location. We went on a Monday morning, so there was no wait and only a few tables occupied. The waitress was excellent. I'd read very mixed reviews on the peasant potatoes - some mentioned that they were hard and tasteless while others said they were great. I asked my waitress about that and she said that she had also heard mixed things about them but could take them or leave them herself. I appreciated her honesty and decided to try them for myself. I ended up getting the French toast and the peasant potatoes -- and I thought the meal was decent. The French toast were somewhat mushy and fell apart in the syrup pretty effortlessly. The potatoes were not hard but they were somewhat lacking in flavor. My fiancée had the pancakes and he gave me a pretty hefty piece of one of them. I was feeing regretful then that I hadn't ordered the pancakes myself because they were way tastier than the French toast. Next time I go back - definitely getting the pancakes. The restrooms were clean as was the restaurant and the staff was friendly. I recommend you check Groupon before paying full price on a meal here - they often run Groupon specials where you can save 50% on your meal. :) read more

So I'm hear probably more often than i should be i.e. the staff knows me. What can i say, It's a great place to get Sunday brunch, and one of the only ones in this area that serve it when i get out at 1pm All types of unique breakfast items to choose from and lots of food! The staff is always very attentive. You can tell that the manager took time to select her staff, very genuine and friendly. As for my suggestions, i think I've tried about everything on the menu at this point. If your into Omelette's i don't know why you wouldn't be :) You should try the Omni Omelet if your a meat lover or Spanish Bacon, made with fresh spinach. In the mood for pancakes? You have to try the Banana Pancakes, so good! And probably the best Hollandaise sauce I've ever had. I always get extra. You also get your choice of pretty much every type of bread on the planet to go along with you meal which beats just toast! You should definitely try it if your in the area. They also have specials if you wear Cowboys gear on Sunday and punch cards for free meals in case you become a Le Peep junkie like me. Wow is this place hoppin on a Saturday morning!! At first it seemed that the staff was just absolutely overwhelmed by the crush of patorns streaming in for brunch. I did have to wait quite a bit considering it was just me, but I got seated in due course considering the crowd. To that end, this place could use a re-tool of the lobby/reception area to better accomodate waiting patrons. Frankly I would have been happy to purchase a cup of coffee while I waited but that just wasn't an option. When I did at last get seated, my order was taken promptly and courteously. The French-brewed coffee here is simply spectacular! For my brunch, I went with a classic, Eggs Benedict. The eggs were just a tad overcooked for my taste, and it was a bit awkward eating this dish out of a mini skillet....the hollandaise was the star of this dish, yum! Great menu. Service is great but PLEASE wipe the coffee mugs as they sit there and get moved around/touched by a number if people. Silverware was not clean either. A bug, I am hoping a very small lady bug, flew onto my shirt. As I look down I see crumbs and crayons and the window sill full of dead bugs. No idea what kind. This place has been here a long time. We found Le Peep because of the location right down the street from our office and decided to contact them to cater our employee appreciation breakfast. Le Peep had a great catering menu and provided more than just the typical cold breakfast. We had a mix of pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, and fresh fruit! Le Peep really thought of everything we would need and showed up early to help set up. The team they sent out to help us prepare worked very hard to get the job done and they were extremely accommodating, especially since we had a few changes to the plan once they arrived. The catering team even brought items that helped make the set up very nice and returned after we finished breakfast to help clean up and gather their burners. I would highly recommend Le Peep catering to anyone looking to host a breakfast or brunch! Our employees really appreciated it and their team made it so easy for us on the day of! read more
