Loving this new(ish) location; they're in the same strip where Bosscat used to be and Eloise Nichols. That said, parking can be a bit of a challenge but there's street parking.

Protein packed healthspan. Memorable cognitive boost. And, gentle giant Gil.

15 Years. Still Exceptional. Ask for Gil. I've been dining at Le Peep on Westheimer for over 15 years, and one constant has made me keep coming back: Gil. In an industry known for turnover, Gil represents something rare -- consistency, excellence, and genuine hospitality. Over more than a decade and a half, I've watched him serve hundreds of guests with the same calm focus and steady professionalism every single time. He remembers orders without writing them down. Not just the basics -- the details. Sauces on the side. Toast preferences. Dietary tweaks. He does it effortlessly, and he does it kindly. But it's not only the memory skill that stands out. It's the way he carries himself. Warm without being intrusive. Attentive without hovering. Efficient without rushing. He sets a tone in the room that makes breakfast feel unrushed and welcoming. Today was another example. Fresh scramble loaded with vegetables, fruit that actually tasted ripe, English muffins toasted just right, coffee refilled before I had to glance up. Flawless timing. Zero stress. Fifteen years of excellence is not luck. It's discipline and pride in one's craft. If you visit Le Peep at 4340 Westheimer, ask for Gil. Houston is fortunate to have professionals like him. Some restaurants serve food. Gil serves hospitality. We'll continue to return.

We enjoyed our delicious breakfast and turkey burger at La Peep. The food was delicious. The casual, welcoming atmosphere made it a great place to relax and enjoy good conversation without feeling rushed. Everything was delicious, and it's definitely a spot we'd be happy to visit again.

Parking is small space section but there's free parking and a garage near by. The wait was about 20mins no rsvp. The atmosphere is diner cafe vibes. Not loud so nice place for socializing but is fast pace eating. Area good size inside easy to connect tables for bigger parties. Ordered the cinnamon roll as a starter very moist and warm honestly the test was fantastic now if you like a crunch on your cinnamon roll then this is not for you. Had a sugar free vanilla ice coffee it's Katz brew nicely made. Maine dish was the blueberries pancakes (blueberry jam on side) with scramble eggs, bacon and potatoes with toast (toast not pictured) everything was moist and soft and warm. Chicken and waffles again soft and warm. Chicken could have used a bit more crunch and seasoning but nothing actually wrong with it. Everything tasted good wasn't anything out the park for me that would make me crave to come back unless I was in the area. Hosts and waiters for friendly with smiles and great attitude no complaints. Worth a try if you just want to experience a place you haven't tried.

An Amazing First Taste of Texas! We just landed in Houston for the first time and Le Peep was our very first stop--what a great way to start the trip! I devoured the Daybreaker and my wife loved the Wanderer Skillet. Everything was seriously delicious; the eggs were cooked perfectly. We also ordered a side of pancakes to share, and it was MASSIVE. Fair warning: only get them if you have room, otherwise you're gonna end up taking the whole order home lol. I tried one of their coffee cocktails too, and it was the perfect jolt of energy to kick off the day. Awesome service, great vibes, and a fantastic meal. We'll definitely be back

The service definitely needs improvement. When we walked in, we were greeted with a cold and dry "hi" no smiles, no warmth from almost any of the employees . We were taken straight to our table without any effort to make us feel welcome. When the server arrived, it was more of the same, not a single smile or friendly gesture. When we asked about the kids drinks, she mentioned them vaguely and wasn't specific at all. When my sons plate got to the table it wasn't cleaned properly. He didn't like the pasta said it was bland. We used to visit Le Peep when it was located near Hotel Derek and always remembered the warm welcome and great service. Unfortunately, this experience didn't live up to that standard. The food and drinks were ok the restaurant was clean, but in my opinion, what really makes a restaurant stand out beyond just the food is the service. And in that area, this visit fell short. We probably wont be coming back.

Le Peep easily makes my list of top breakfast spots in Houston! My husband, brother and I were headed to NRG Centre for the Nutcracker Market and wanted to eat breakfast beforehand. We live in a more northern suburb of Houston, so we aren't very familiar with restaurants in the area. A quick google search led us here and I am so glad it did!! First, the restaurant is tucked away to where you may not notice it if you weren't looking for it. This made it not very busy for a Saturday which was a pleasant surprise. It is spacious and clean! The staff were all smiling and friendly. Our waiter, Fidel, was especially kind and made conversation with us while he was waiting on us. We really enjoyed his service and would recommend requesting to sit in his section if you visit. When you're seated, they bring you a carafe of water that is self-serve. I really appreciate that about this restaurant. There was a variety of menu options for both breakfast and lunch. It was so hard to decide what to order because everything looked good that was on the menu and on the trays of waiters passing by for other tables. I read a review about the granola pancakes and I'm kicking myself for not ordering them. A ton of tables we passed on our way out were eating them and they looked so good! I ordered the Omni omelet without veggies. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes that were the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Everything was seasoned so well, and my omelet was full of breakfast meats. It's a small thing, but they brought us each an individual side of ketchup for our potatoes instead of just having a community bottle on the table. My husband ordered the southern benedict, and my brother had the Lumberjack Breakfast with blueberry pancakes. We all took turns trying bites off each other's plates and I can say with confidence that every single thing was SO good. My brother was especially impressed with his blueberry pancakes because they also came with a blueberry syrup. I don't even like blueberries, and I'd have to agree that they were good! Overall, this is just a really great little cafe breakfast spot. We live 40 minutes away, but we all loved it so much we'll definitely make the drive to eat here again!

The food was delicious, classic American diner experience. The service was great, and I would come here for breakfast again. Clean bathrooms, and nice layout.

Last review 2011; and we've had some visits since in the new location. Once during Covid and we weren't pleased. ALMOST didn't go back this time, but we had a not so good time down the road at Katz's because of a menu change. Got a table right away; wait when we left. Coffee to start the morning. Truth is I love the granola pancakes. Don't eat sweets very often for breakfast but these are crunchy delights on a plate. Perhaps on bested by Snooze's creative flapjacks. Eggs were cooked to order; sausage was a little over done. GF was smitten with her choice of the "Cool" which paired eggs, chives, ham, and cream cheese. No complaints on the breakfast taters either. Well, looks like Le Peep is back on the breakfast rotation in Houston.

Looking for a casual breakfast spot and ended up coming to Le Peep off Westheimer. Soon as I walked in we were sat and the waitress came over with water. Ordered some hot tea and coffee while we glanced at the menu which had a lot of options. We ended up ordering the Health Nut and the LumberJack Breakfast. My friend mentioned The Health Nut was great. She substitute the smoked turkey with turkey bacon. I got the lumber jack breakfast and it was amazing. You may need to add a little salt/pepper on the eggs but they were cooked perfectly and the breakfast potatoes were great. The star of the show is the pancakes tho. Very light and fluffy pancakes with great flavor!!! I will be back to try more dishes!!!

Southern Benedict

4.5 stars if I could! Such a solid spot for classic American breakfast. The vibes are casual, comfortable, and cafe/diner-like, and it was exactly what we were looking for after a stressful morning. There's plenty of parking in the garage that is adjacent to the building. We were seated right away despite the restaurant having a busy morning, and our server was very nice. The Southern Benedict was amazing! Love that they top their dishes with almond and their side of apple slices make a nice treat. The Gooey Buns were also a nice treat - reminded me of a cinnamon roll topped with almond slices.

Seems like the most effective way to earn rewards is to order ahead through the app as they do not offer an option to upload a receipt. Hopefully this gets updated in the future.. The Texas Brisket Egg Sandwich on Jalapeño bun came out piping hot, and all the flavors and textures were on point. It is a bit pricey ($9) but worth it if you're willing to cough up some cash for fast food / fast casual breakfast. I did a mobile order so there was limited interaction with staff so I can't comment too much on the service. Definitely nothing negative to describe. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious, clean, a good amount of seating, with clean restrooms. The only downside for this location is the tight parking. You will often show up with no spots open, so you may need to sit around for a few minutes until one opens up. Just circle the lot a few times and look for people walking to their cars. Just don't exit the actual parking lot onto Chimney Rock or San Felipe because you need to do all these crazy u-turns to get back into the lot. Enjoy!

This was my first experience with Credence and the atmosphere was new, modern and a little noisy. The lunch gnocchi was my first experience with gnocchi (in particular cornmeal gnocchi) so I have nothing with which to compare; I would probably not have it again but it wasn't bad. I have had plenty of beet salads and this didn't make the top ten. The grilled tuna salad my husband ordered rated a 0 on a scale of 1-5. The tuna may have been grilled as advertised, but there was no evidence of it, and there was absolutely no taste to it. I would have expected there to be some seasoning, but again, no evidence. The green beans were so crunchy they might as well have been fresh-picked and the sauce over the snow peas was so tasteless, Ranch dressing would have been a huge improvement. I could only eat one, and I really like snow peas. Until they get a better chef, I will not be returning.

The ambiance was beautiful too, and the speakeasy was such a fun bonus. The monkey bread was the perfect way to start ! Warm, soft, and dangerously easy to keep eating. The baked potato was probably one of my favorite sides; it was super creamy with this crusted layer that basically melted in your mouth. The NY Strip steak was perfectly seasoned and definitely lived up to expectations. The branzino was fresh and cooked well, but the seasoning was a little too subtle for me, so it didn't stand out as much as the other dishes. I also wasn't a huge fan of the cabbage. Overall though, Credence absolutely delivered. Great food, great service, beautiful atmosphere, and plenty of dishes I'd come back for.

Similarly to their more popular location in Memorial (#2), this outside of this Bellaire spot doesn't immediately tell the full story. The interior has an industrial vibe, with the high ceilings and overhead fixtures, but as converted into a solid dining space. The large tilted mirrors in the main area are reminiscent of the now defunct Helen's (#3) and makes for a fun (or perhaps distracting) visual. The spacious layout allows breathing room for all kinds of groups. Service has been good overall, and prompt throughout every visit. The American bistro inspired menu has a decent amount of variety that spans from brunch to a tasty weeknight dinner and a drink. Their starters have a variety of tasty bites that include the white truffle eggs, wicked wings, prosciutto-melon burrata, Mama Pauley's meatballs, and a very addicting chipotle pimento cheese dip. While I appreciate the vegan-friendly hippie chickpea croquettes, it needed just a bit more seasoning. Their bacon double cheeseburger has been deemed "insta-famous" and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's juicy, a little messy, but a lot delicious. It paired well with their large cut fries (consider upgrading to the truffle fries), but the house made chips are also a good light bite. Their salads are equally fabulous from their classic caesar to a hearty cobb salad. I wasn't as impressed with the crunchy Asian salad, but thought their faro salad was a thumbs up. Understandably, the priciest meals are some of their grilled and house specialty meals, such as a prime tenderloin filet ($42), Mediterranean roasted redfish ($36), twelve hour ribs ($29), and rosemary-lemon chicken ($29), all of which are solid. I feel the buttermilk chicken tender platter ($19) is really meant for children, but is great for any tender lover in the bunch. Their weekly "features" are a series of daily specials that range from prime rib nights on Wednesdays and ribeyes on Thursdays, and "kids eat free" specials + their happy hour give folks plenty of reason to check it out. ___________ ( #1) Especially during their seasonal deals which can sometimes include steep discounts.
