Interesting little cafe. Had some rugby stuff hanging on the walls. I actually got to watch the rerun of the Cards and Seahawks. I had the Auvergne burger which was very interesting. Bun on the bottom and the top bun was actually a potato pancake (sorry but I don't have the French word potato pancake). The Auvergne cheese sauce was great and did not over power the burger. Food was underwhelming. Only one dish aside from salads that that can be made vegetarian was a pasta tagliatelle dish - the zucchini was very salty, overall dish was not very enjoyable. We also ordered a burger medium well, it came on the rare side. Burger came with French fries, which were soaked in grease and soggy. Burger was ordered medium well and came out medium rare. Showed up before happy hour ended, our server Amine, didn't come over until after happy hour and said he couldn't give us the happy hour prices for a round drinks since it was now one minute past happy hour. He took way too long to bring us our carafes of water, as he brought water, served drinks and food to tables that showed up much later than my table (ignoring our table). We decided to just order our drinks at the bar due to poor service and because we wanted to tip the bartender making out drinks. Food came out relatively quickly, but the attendance from Amine was lacking as we had to call him over to get more water. By the end of our dinner we were over the poor service and ready for our bill until Amine came over to the table and began to yell at our table. He said "do you have a problem with me?! The cook told me you don't want me to serve you! I'm trying to be nice, I'm a nice person. There's nothing I can do about the computer and the price." At that point we tried to explain why we were upset since he took over 15 minutes to even address our table but then he continued yell over us while swinging around a knife and fork in our faces and near the heads of my family on the opposite side of the table. We demanded our bill at that point and quickly left. While exiting the the building I asked the manager the name of our server, since the manager ran away from the table when Amine started yelling at us. Only then did the manager talk to us about the whole confrontation from our server. We explained everything to him and at least he had open ears, but overall he did not handle the situation well. Great location, next to many other cafes, ample seating outside on the corner of the street, great service. I went with my family twice for breakfast/brunch during my stay in Paris. It is above average in terms of price but I cannot complain about the food or the service. The only negative is that it sometimes takes awhile to get the attention of a waiter. If I could give this place zero stars I would. All I ordered were crêpes with Nutella, which on the menu were listed as 6,90€. What appeared on my bill were crêpes Chantal at 10,90€. When I asked the server why they charged me the wrong item, they said, well you wanted to add bananas... So a 4€ premium for a single banana (I could get a kilo of bananas for that price). Not to mention that the crêpes Chantal has melted chocolate, ice cream, chantilly and NO BANANAS. God damn thieves is what these people are. They didn't offer an apology or adjust the bill. We had an odd experience. We were seated immediately as there weren't that many people in this restaurant (mostly outside al fresco). There was only one...yes one...waitress working! The place is a decent size, but she worked very hard to satisfy customers. We even witnessed her break a glass and keep working to serve customers. The helpful hostess stepped-in to clean up the glass (great teammate). Ordered: Croque Madame and Croque Monsieur. They were both delicious. Fries are good as well. Use the spicy mustard for fries or sandwich. We didn't eat al fresco, but you sit side-by-side in very comfortable looking chairs. It's worth a try. People drink wine and beer around 12p during the week! I'm sure they're vacationers and tourists, but it's very laid back while walking by. read more

A french brasserie with a beautiful setup for an beautiful evening dinner. There is outdoor seating but the red lighting inside draws you in and makes you want to sit down and enjoy some good french cuisine. The ambiance inside made me want to just speak my broken french and apparently I spoke it well enough where I made a few french friends. The french onion soup is nice gooey and satisfying. The steak and fries is fulfilling and the crepes for desert is nice light and fluffy stuffed with fresh fruit and nice french heavy whipped cream. read more

Stopped in here during a walk around town for a quick lunch. I had the Bacon Cheese, a bacon cheeseburger, and it was really good. My wife had the Croque Monsieur and after trying a bite I wish I'd gotten it too. This thing has tons of ham, is made with tons of delicious butter, and is covered in cheese. My wife usually leaves some food behind, and I was looking forward to finishing this for her. She ate the whole thing, and I had to steal a final bite right out from under her when she looked away because I knew it was the only way I'd get any more of it. Definitely get the croque monsieur. Definitely. Note to self for next time: get the croque monsieur. Maybe get two and save one for later. read more

My friend was brought the wrong sandwich and the waiter completely dismissed her then tried to charge us extra at the end of the meal for a different sandwich then was being very passive and difficult when we tried to explain the situation and not be charged extra for a sandwich we didn't even order. Great food! Great location. While the family wasn't adventuresome on the food selections the food we had was delicious! The staff seemed a little distracted and had to be reminded a couple of times of what was requested but was very friendly and helpful. We first came for breakfast and had coffee and espresso as well as a ham and cheese croissant and one of their breakfast combos. Day one everything was great. We actually liked it so much we decided to come back for dinner a second time during our stay in Paris. This is the only restaurant we dined at twice so needless to say we were initially impressed. The second time however, my croissant took longer to come out than my husband's food and it was very burnt (yes I ordered the same thing). I'm not one to complain so I just ate around the burnt parts but did not really enjoy the meal. As we were leaving my husband decided to mention it to the manager and just let him know that it was quite subpar. We were not expecting a comp or anything as we had already paid, no big deal, but the manager did not even say a word, just looked at my husband blankly until we left. A rushed rude waiter unfortunately refused to do anything about my over-cooked 18 Euro steak with drop gras. He kept knocking on my table to hurry me up. 4 people were sharing one menu! After I politely asked twice for a re-cook, and then asked for the manager, he replied in perfect English that he was indeed the manager. Family continued eating, I didn't eat. Another instance of rudeness was body language, as he completely turned his back to us, right in front of us, and lit up a cigarette. I'm in the service industry myself so....really? I don't know where I personally insulted him but don't order the steak here. I. Had. To. Beg. And say I was with my family and all I wanted was what I ordered to have a peaceful meal and I didn't want to pay for another. After my family was done, he checked my food, picked it up, and didn't say another word to me since. The French burger looked good, my brother liked it, and the lasagna was good, but my steak in the end was just okay. Why did I have to eat miserably on a corner of Paris with my family??
