A red-awning cafe in Paris. The perfect setting for our wedding engagement. But I believe this place is permanently closed.

I have been waiting to try this famous french bœuf bourguignon and I did and it was not how I thought it be. Maybe I was in the wrong place, bummer! I should've researched better (my bad). The bœuf bourguignon just tasted like diluted beef stew. I could taste the wine so maybe a bit more salt would've made the dish better. As far as service, it was pretty good. The waiter is always nearby and attentive. The place was too packed. It was hard to move. You're really are in elbow to elbow with your neighbor tables. read more

After a quick browse on Yelp, my family and I decided to have dinner at this cute restaurant after a late afternoon stroll around the Eiffel Tower. The outdoor seating area was bustling with diners so we figured that this place was a nice choice for dinner. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who spoke good English and were provided an English menu. She informed us that there was happy hour, so being the Americans we are, got a little too excited and we each ordered a drink. To our surprise the drinks we ordered happened to not be included on the happy hour menu. While we shouldn't have assumed all the drinks were part of happy hour, our food however was quite tasty! I loved the French onion soup and my pizza was essentially a baked potato pizza (I have forgotten the name, but I'm sure the staff will know which one that specifically is). Our wines paired nicely with our meal, and next time I know to ask more specific questions pertaining to a Parisian happy hour! read more

Really good burgers and crispy frites! Delightful French beer. And yummy cheese plate with French bread. Indoor and outdoor seating, on the smaller side inside. Saw someone with a giant savory crepe that looked amazing, but my last night in Paris and I only wanted a cheese board! read more

We stumbled across this place as our party of 8 (4 adults and 4 teens) were starving after our Eiffel Tower excursion took much longer than anticipated. It was late around 11pm, so we did not have the luxury of looking for a place to eat. We were seated immediately and our server was lovely and very attentive. I ordered the salmon poke (mixed greens topped with salmon and vegetables); friend ordered the same but with chicken. Others in party ordered the Risotto; chicken/vegetables/cheese crepe; bolognese crepe; and burgers. Everything was good with the exception of my friends salad topped with chicken. The chicken was so hard and dry you could barely bite into it. It seemed like the chicken had been sitting for some time and had been re-cooked or reheated. 5 of us on the table tried to bite into the chicken with no We mentioned it to our server when they were collecting our dishes, and after that we never saw our attentive server again, lol. Other than that, our tummies were very satisfied. read more

First night in Paris. We arrived, checked into our hotel, and went to look at the lights of the Eiffel Tower as it was already late in the evening. After we ooooed and awwwwed, we started looking for food. This place checked a lot of boxes for us--cute, lively, crepes, French onion soup--Done! They seated us right away, making a fuss because we like that. The waiter brought us some wine and we ordered right away. We were on the covered patio and it was lovely, but snug. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The restaurant was busy for a Sunday night, maybe they are always busy. Our waiter was running like crazy. My soup came out with my daughter's chicken crepe. My cheese crepe came out after I finished the soup. I didn't notice that the crepes came with a side salad. It was a huge amount of food, and everything tasted good. My crepe was super buttery, and oozed cheese. I liked it better than the soup. The meal was moderately priced. I'm sure this place gets called a tourist trap, but really it wasn't. It was tourist friendly for sure, but the crepes were really good. We travel a lot and know good food. read more

Stopped here for breakfast before having to catch a tour bus to Versailles. The staff were friendly and the service was fast. The food was simple - scrambled eggs with a side salad and an omelet with a side salad. It costs more money to add ham, cheese, or mushroom to the omelet, so if you don't, just know you're getting the same thing as the scrambled eggs but for €2 more, and just presented differently (flat on a plate vs. scrambled and put in a bowl). Should have just stuck with croissants and coffee. read more

If you are looking for a quaint little spot with great food, amazing atmosphere and an overall good time, then this is the place to be. Our waiter was so charming and hilarious. He picked our food, picked out the wine and told us what we should eat. We took his advice and 1 bottle of wine later, we had no regrets!!!!highly recommend this place read more

Stopped by this place because it was close to the Eiffel Tower. Onion soup wasn't good, and the plate of vegetables was essentially a vegetable medley with tomato sauce mixed in. The fish and chips were solid, though! A little disappointed based on reading past reviews. Service was decent. read more

As the toilette beside the Eiffel Tower was out of service we had to embark on a journey to find one and this was the only open close spot. Asking to use the rest room = a big no no as that's what tourists do all day. I'm Far from a tourist as I spend a month here at a time 3 times a year and have been 8 times now and they have the worst mentality very cold and don't like to help someone out who needs to freshen up. Of course we purchased 3 coca colas to go for €2.50 each ! Just to make it down the stairs to find a line up of American tourists waiting to use the bathroom as well. Best part was they have a huge turn out but can't manage to put toilette paper in the ladies room but yet the mens had which was the only option I had, not that I really care anyways a bathrooms a bathroom to me. As my boyfriend waited outside for us I told him to sit down with our bag and drinks before we went back for our walk and the waiter rudely accused my boyfriend of using the wifi! LOL we have cellphones with labar chips in our phone sir with 12 gigs of data lol nobody needed your wifi. My friend last year had the same problem after a bus tour and I waited outside and the waiter was giving her hell to use the washroom. If people think the food is great than food for them I won't even bother to try it because A it's a tourist trap and B the service is terrible. read more

My family and I went here after being treated awfully at another restaurant across the street. The servers were very accommodating to the fact we had a stroller with a 4 month old baby girl. They went out of their way to try and make room for us. The restaurant was very tight and furniture was kind of all over the place in terms of look and decor. We ordered a cheeseburger, bolognaise crepe, and Toulouse sausage. All entrees came with a salad and some side. My sausage had a side of aligot, which is a cheesy-like mashed potato that was decent. The sausage was a bit on the salty side. Overall, great service, OK food, and a bit of a hodgepodge of decor. read more

We stayed in a nearby apartment and enjoyed lunch at this restaurant on two occasions. Each of us had the sweet and the savory crepes (traded off) and we liked both versions immensely. It was strange receiving a small salad to accompany the food but this appears to be typical in Paris. Service was friendly. We liked the music that was playing in the background. My highlight was the Boeuf bourguignon!!!! read more

This was a nice stop for relief during our day of walking. The staff was very friendly and accommodated patio seating for our group of five quickly. An English menu is available upon request. We actually stopped at this place twice. Once for lunch and another for a late night meal/ dessert since it was nearby and we were still adjusting to the time zone change. This place is located on a corner and is great for people watching and a relaxed dining experience. I ordered the chèvre salad and creme brûlée with fries. I sampled a burger (cooked medium) and crepes as well. All were good choices. read more

We love Yelp but if we had looked here prior to choosing lunch (and for the record, we usually do) we would have skipped Le Petit Suffren and that would have been our loss! And, not only is it super convenient to the Eiffel Tower, prices are reasonable and the crepes were delicious!! I had a custom crepe (ham, cheese and veggies) and my wife had a crepe with salmon, dill and a cream sauce. Both were very good! And service was great and easy, even for our very American selves. We would highly recommend it as a stop before or after the Eiffel Tower! read more

We had dinner here pretty much just because it was the only place open at midnight after we finished our Eiffel Tower tour but, as I've said elsewhere, it's hard to go wrong with food in this city. We both got risotto and were very happy with it. Good service and menus in English. read more

On my final day in Paris, I decided I wanted to try a savory crepe. Having already gone through quite a few restaurants in the area and passing this place several times, I decided to give this place a try. I sat outside at one of the tables and was my order was taken very quickly. I decided on the Parisian Savory Crepe. I started off with coffee crème, which was the closest thing to coffee as I have it in the US. It was light, airy, but had the right kick I needed to start off my day. The food then arrived in a wooden board and looked beautiful, piping hot. My crepe was tender and delicious, enveloping Swiss cheese, mushrooms, ham, and a fried egg over easy. Like my Croque Madam, I dipped chunks of rolled crepe with filling over the runny yoke to add to the flavor and texture. This was accompanied by a fresh, lightly dressed salad that was a good finish to my meal. They take a long time to get the bill, as I've noticed in all the cafes I've been to here, but I didn't mind this as it gave me time to think and enjoy my surroundings instead of feeling like I'm eating in duress. The servers here were polite, but don't expect any kind of small talk. Would definitely want to come back to this place on my next venture in France! read more

On our last day in Paris we decided to stop in on this restaurant we had been walking by every day. We had avoided it because the awnings read 'hamburgers', clearly catering to the tourist crowd. But we were cold and a little hungry, so we thought we'd have a little food and coffee. This is what I informed the waitress as we walked in, but an arrogant male waiter walked by and only heard "coffee", and barked out "Coffee only at the bar!". Then proceeded to make disparaging remarks about Americans, and later to mock us. The waitress herself was a little friendlier, but chided both us and other patrons about the need to improve their French. We tried to be friendly the whole time and not respond in kind. We both ordered different salads, and they were good. The long island ice tea I ordered was heavy on the Coca cola. We had eaten across the street twice at Fermine, and loved it. We should have gone a third time. read more

This breakfast was so good. We wandered in based off the fact they had crepes and ended up tasting and loving other things. We got the petit breakfast and the croissants were so flaky and good. Was very satisfied with the location service and selection. We are staying very close to the Eiffel Tower so we were able to walk here and enjoy the scenery. The wine is so good but what does anyone expect from a Paris bistro. I believe we were first greeted by the owner who took our orders and made small talk with us about America. Very sweet spot. Affordable if you can afford it. Will have to try dessert next time. Too much wine tonight read more

I was so happy to find this cute neighborhood gem of a restaurant that was located down the street from our Air BnB apartment. Stopped by here for a drink and asked for the restroom first. One man behind the bar told us where to go followed by a man yelling down the stairs "5 euro!!!" Not thinking he was talking to us, we used the bathroom and another worker told us to "be careful". Once we got upstairs we were surrounded by men asking if we were customers. As American tourists real French food was new to us. Still our impression of this place was just okay. I tried aligot for the first time. Google results told me that it should be mashed potatoes mixed with Parmesan (? not sure). The actual dish to me tasted like soft Parmesan goo and I couldn't tell any potato taste in it. We thought the escargot was okay but then the following day we had it at another place that served much escargot at a lower price. Overall it wasn't bad but just okay. read more
