The Ambience couldn't be better, our first full day in Paris and we had for our late meal of the day roasted chicken on romaine with the sweetest tiny tomatoes. Excellent food! Everything from bread, salad, steak for two and sea bream was absolutely delicious. Everything was made to perfection including the au jus and mustard side sauce. We ordered the Briquette salad to start which dazzled our taste buds with so much flavor balancing out the arugula base. Just delicious! Steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare. We had delicious crème brueleè and Paris Brest to end our dinner with a bang. Did I mention the amazing side sauces. If you are considering eating here. Don't think too much, just go. Glad we did. It was a nice treat to round off our day after seeing the Louvre. Service was very friendly and helpful considering our French was not perfect having just flown in from San Francisco. They did have a scan logo for the menu in English. After that, it all we went smooth. They have a very comfortable atmosphere and to add a super cool bathroom.. Need to check it out. Food: french onion soup to start was great!; however, we told the waiter to split the plates and he never did. The baguettes came for free with each round of meals (1 for starters and 1 for mains). The mains were both pasta dishes. The gnocchi was out of a Dr. Seuss book.. green and strange. The other pasta dish was solid The creme brûlée was good but presentation was in a very shallow and spread out pan. In the 8 months of living here, I've never had such a disgusting and over priced Caesar salad. 21€ for a small bowl of what might was well been anchovy cream covered lettuce... with a beard hair in it. The best part of the meal was the baguette, which was old and stiff at best. read more

Nice and fancy place for dinner ! Amazing staff, very friendly and efficient. The menu offers several options as meat or vegetarian meals. I ordered the moussaka with a glass of red wine. All good ! The experience here was disappointing primarily because we were seated then ignored for a long time and no one came to assist, check in or take our order. And that was the theme throughout our visit here. A very pleasant gentleman sat us & then disappeared. After 25 mins of waiting we flagged him down to ask if our waiter would be coming soon & he told us he'd come assist, which he did. But again after placing our order with him, there were no other check ins on if we wanted water, dessert, nothing. The food was well flavored and you can expect to inhale lots of cigarette smoke from folks sitting outside which we absolutely hated but seemed to be the running theme in France. Ambiance is rustic and the bathroom rinsing areas need instructions posted on how to use cause it's confusing working the sinks. If service was better we would've returned. We ordered the whole fish, the veggie truffle pasta, and fried mushroom as a side. read more

Vibes are everything for me. This place had very nice wood finishes and an upstairs outdoor patio that over looked the street. It was very cute and nicely decorated. For dinner I got the ribs, which came with a side of sauce-- they were pretty good, meaty and fall off the bone. Happy they provided extra sauce. I also ordered a side of fries which were a little expensive for how much came. For drinks I got the espresso martini-- very good ! read more

This place was right next door to where we stayed. We came for a small bite, charcuterie platter and fries. They were both good portions. The fries were crispy, just the way they should be, and the medium charcuterie platter was large and delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful, tucked away on a small street with great people watching. 1st Arr has so many restaurants to pick from, but this one is truly special. The oysters are amazing and you cannot beat the atmosphere. Before you leave, go downstairs to the restroom. They have a public piano, and you might get lucky enough to cross paths with a local who can play and sing for you. They have a lounge area and the lighting is perfect. Five stars based on drinks, service and mostly the awesome atmosphere at this (presumably) new hip spot in Paris, somewhat by the Louvre. Nelson's had a delicious looking drink menu, decent wine selection. And whatever shredded/roast meat think the people next to us ordered looked positively mouth watering! But alas, we didn't have time to order any food. The restaurant was rather large compared to most other spots, with ample al fresco seating out front, with an inside AND upstairs with sprawling windows as well. Beautiful interior, the food and drinks looked delicious, the host who greeted us and took us to our table was warm and welcoming. We even got to sit where we wanted, and I was so excited for out luck! Sadly, that's where the positives of my review end. We sat down at our table, very excited, as we'd been looking forward to eating here. We sat at the table for 20 minutes, confirmed by checking the time. We didn't even get a menu. The waiter seemed to not see us. It was busy, so we waited patiently. After 20 minutes, we saw the server for the first time actually serve someone (I was starving so I'd been watching him wander between the bar and the serving area). At that point, I made eye contact with him, hoping for him to say something - ANYTHING to recognize that we've been waiting. He looked right through me. So I said, "monsieur?" Hoping to ask for a menu. "Just a minute!" He snapped back, glaring. He was visibly very irritated. So, we waited another moment, hoping he was just stressed from a busy night and would come over. But then I watched him take out his cell phone and text on it. Don't get me wrong, I understand we all have lives outside of work and I have no problem with that, but again, we still hadn't received a menu. By this point my husband no longer wanted to eat here because this man seemed like he'd spit in our food. We got up to leave, the server again made eye contact and just glared at me as we left. Didn't say anything. We weren't being dramatic or hostile, I don't understand why he didn't want to serve us. So for future visitors, beware of an attractive man with nicely coiffed and highlighted hair, stretched ears, and tattoos. He might decide you suck and refuse to serve you. So bummed to have had such a negative experience. I hate writing negative reviews. :( read more

Esthetically, this place is it! It's beautiful on both the interior and exterior! That's why I didn't give it 2 stars. They have a lot of vegetarian options but I was not a fan of what I ordered (the dosa w/ cream cheese and avocado). One friend ordered a meat dish under "Barbecue" with a side of fries. She rated the dish a 2.5/5 because it lacked flavor. My other friend ordered a dish where the tiny portion size didn't match the price. She liked her drink though! read more
