I love it here. My neighborhood coffee spot. Love to come sit here and people watch while enjoying coffee outside. Good espressos, good lattes. I've had their jambone cheese croissant, So so good and flaky: staff is so sweet and lovely. They have a punch card reward system any time you purchase I get a stamp, can't wait for my freebie lol. Love the French music and all the little touches around the cafe. Great ode to France .

Peach Fruit Special, Cotto Ham Pan Suisse

We came over at around 11 am on a Sunday and they had a lot of pastry options on the displays. There was a pretty expansive variety of sweet and savory items from kouign amanns to quiches. We ordered at the cashier and they offered to heat up the pastries. Cotto Ham Pan Suisse - I love savory pastries. They heated this one up and it was perfect, from the dijon mustard to the ham and cheese. The pastry itself was very flaky and it wasn't too heavy. Peach Fruit Special - This pastry was the same quality as the other one, very flaky and had a nice crunch to it. The baked peach on the top and inside were so nice, it was warm and comforting. It was also a peaceful place to chat with friends or do some work with a decent amount of seating and cute wall decor. I would definitely come back to try their other pastries or lunch sandwiches.

Lovely pastry and I had a bacon croissant toast. Eggs, Gruyère, onion jam on croissant and salad. It was delicious. Was quite hungry and this really hit the spot. Delicious with ample bacon to make the dish filling and ver satisfying! Highly recommend with lovely French music play in background .

Been here several times now and the pastries are never a disappointment. Can't speak on the rest of the menu items or coffee beverages. Chocolate crème croissant, jamón gruyere croissant and the morning bun are the favs but all pastries have been tasty. Service is nice and professional.

Cute French cafe that was recommended by a coworker of mine. He was raving about their kouign-amann batons, so I decided to stop by around 11am on a Tuesday. The exterior and interior reminded me so much of the cafes in Paris. They have a bunch of tables and seats available. I loved every part of it and glad that this kind of cafe exists in the city. The baton was delicious. It was crispy and flaky on the outside and dense on the inside. The shape reminded me of a churro. I also tried their regular croissant and it was also very tasty. I like that they have a wide variety of pastries to choose from.

Smoked Salmon Benedict

Came in for breakfast on Sunday morning. Ordered and sat down at a table by the window. Took about 15 minutes to get our food. They have lots of alternatives for dairy options. The cappuccino was ok with almond milk. The smoked salmon Benedict was simple yet tasty! The lemony hollandaise was fantastic!

Cute box.

Vast choice if genuine French pastries favorites and a spacious and chilled interior. I go there on Saturdays and the person serving is simply adorable Service is attentive.

It's a pleasant enough French bakery cafe set-up, but I've held back on this review for a while. It's because in hindsight, I wish the staff was interested in having an interaction with their customers. Well, at least with this customer. Perhaps I would've discovered that their $16 La Complete was encased in a buckwheat crepe, an unfortunate discovery for me since I'm allergic. That's why I avoid Japanese soba noodles like the plague. In the description for La Complete, the menu mentioned French ham, gruyere, and egg but nothing about the buckwheat crepe (photo: https://yelp.to/VvV_RSMoAO). When my plate arrived, I was hesitant to touch it, but since I bought it already, I took a chance. Big mistake. My throat started to swell just as I was leaving the shop. I take responsibility for the mishap, but the indifferent service didn't help. I might come back for a croissant but I'm in no hurry. FOOD - 2 stars...overcome by the buckwheat AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...pleasant enough cafe SERVICE - 2 stars...not much offered on this front TOTAL - 2 stars...this buckwheat ain't 'o-tay' RELATED - Exploring Nob Hill? Ambient is super cute, we tried a pain au chocolate and it was average. Lamination looks average but the taste is quite french style.

The most amazing croissants in SF I don't care what anybody says. Full of French speakers. This should be evidence enough.

Due to scheduling, I wasn't able to arrive until an hour before closing on a Friday which meant many of the items were sold out. When I arrived, there was a line so I had my buddy drop me off while he found parking. In retrospect, I should have had him drive around the block a few times as the line moved fast and there wasn't much to choose from. Since we both didn't know how quick the transaction would be, he figured out the metered parking, which was a feat in and of itself, and when he was walking over to the bakery, I was done with pastries in hand. Only one customer is allowed in the narrow shop at a time while the other customers queue up waiting to be signaled to step forward. As for seating, there is none so no one hangs around. Of the croissants remaining, I ordered all of them: Chocolate Almond Croissant - full of almond paste and chocolate, you could share this one, but why? This was my favorite. Almond Croissant - very good Kouign-amann - good sized While you can't enjoy the warm croissants with coffee at the shop, my buddy and I tucked in as soon as we got into the car. Good thing we carry a vacuum to clean up all the crumbs.

It took about 20 minutes to get to the front, which wasn't too bad. We had the potato mushroom, caramel apple, pistachio and plain croissants. The mushroom potato was one of the best savory croissants we have ever had. The Apple croissant tasted like apple pie. There is no seating in the bakery. The pastries are absolutely tasty and made with passion and creativity of an extremely talented team, but please be respectful of the locals too who live around in the area. Ambiance continues to be absolutely amazing but again only has 2 chairs so it's best to just get your pastries and coffee / matcha and find a nice place to eat them such as Pier 39, Francisco Park, or Aquatic Park Beach. Hoping their cake shop eventually finds the right location and wish them continued success in the future.

I hadn't had a traditional one yet this year, so that was a plus for me. Normally I'm not crazy about the nut moon cakes, but this one was terrific! It was the best moon cake I've had in a while - regular lotus seed with yolk and nuts. The lady at the bakery reminded me of an "auntie" and she was super friendly! Even though today was moon cake, I took a chance and asked if she had any wife cake (Low Po Behng). Unfortunately she didn't, but we had a nice little conversation in Cantonese and it brought me back to childhood and Chinatown in L.A. back in the day. Some people might not like that it's closed (I think that's when she runs out or isn't baking that day) but that's just how it goes. It's nothing personal if someone drives a long way and it's closed. It sounds like sometimes the lines can be long (There was no line for us today - score!) but it's everyone's choice if they're willing to wait or not. It's a little place and you order through the door. To me, that just adds to the quirky adventure of it all. Next time I hope she has Low Po Behng!

If you have a chance to meet "auntie", consider yourself special. Enjoyed our time with a little chit chat - since we were fortunate that it wasn't busy yet. I know some may be upset that it wasn't opened when they showed up - but that's kind of what makes it special - when you do get there in the right day and time. (i sound like an american health influencer...oh wait i am american). anyway they're a bit too sweet but the frangipane tastes good. the plain one is boring in a bad way. pain suisse is okay too. it's ironic that their best croissants are the day-old ones since they are twice baked with frangipane pumpkin bread was pretty good! again a bit too sweet but spice and pumpkin came in strong like pow pow. bostock was good too - my first time. again a twice baked pastry except it's brioche and the syrup is passionfruit. the fruit flavor was slight but i wish it was stronger. super interesting to eat though i also wish that the heat and freshness of the pastries didn't vary so wildly. some days they're cold as frozen peas and other days they're nice and crispy and warm and fluffy and fireplace-y and hot-mug-y. sorry i have a lot of wishes. unfortunately big B may not be able to satisfy them. i wish i can go back to try the black sesame one but i'm too broke and i have an astronomically low attention span so i can't wait in line
