Not a place to go if you make an appointment.. We had an appointment at two and when we got there we were told it was gonna be an hour to an hour and a half wait. It would have been nice to at least get a phone call and say they were running behind. I used to love coming here. They did a fabulous (and cheap) gel manicure, always took in walk-ins, and had a large selection of colors to choose from. Maybe it's under new management now? The past THREE times I've been here, they have messed up my nails. On Valentine's Day, I asked them to put an "XO" On two of my nails and the nail tech looked at me like I was crazy... she ended up ignoring my request for the simple design I asked for and gave me the worst manicure of my life. The following manicure was mediocre, and this last time will fortunately be my last time here. The pictures attached to this review were taken less than 5 minutes after my gel manicure. There are air bubbles and chunks in the polish and a bunch of polish all over my fingers. After the polish was done, the woman put a TON of lotion in my hands and massages my hands for less than 2 minutes. Then when a bunch of lotion left all over my hands she says, "okay, you pay me now?" So I rubbed my hands like crazy trying to get all of the lotion rubbed in while she ran my card. I can't believe they let me walk out of the salon looking like this. Ugh.... Never again!! Unless you really want to spend $30 on the worst gel manicure of your life, do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else. read more

When I went in for my pedicure, I was the only one there. I sit down n I told him my feet are sensitive so be rough on them. Did he think I said DONT do them? I don't know but he just kept massaging my legs. He barely cut my nails where I'm gonna have to find another place soon as they grow fast. 1 coat of polish. No top coat. After 40 min sitting waiting for them to dry, I asked if I was dry. If I could leave. They forgot me. They had all chairs full by that time. But they couldn't see me? Never again! read more

Usually this place is nice, quick... but I have called ahead for an appointment three to five times and I'm currently sitting here forty five minutes after my appointment time. Don't bother calling- you just have to walk in and see if they'll take you or not. If there was a way to give less than one star, I would. They have on occasion made me bleed here before and are not considerate of anyone's time. The hours I've wasted on appointments they don't keep. Although the technican was nice, she filed my nails with a course file and used a quick back and forth motion. She also filed the tops of my nails even though I did not get acrylics. This left my nails feeling rough and course. My nails are not smooth and nice, they feel like sandpaper. I was pretty sure you were not supposed to file the nails back and forth roughly as this could lead to split nails. My nails were already feeling pretty weak from washing my hands so often and having my natural nail bed filed down certainly doesn't make them feel any stronger or healthier. I will not be coming here again. Maybe manicures are not for me. I guess all I can do at this point is wait to grow them out. read more

Love these nails. The girls were very nice and did a really good job. For these nails and a pedicure it was $70 Which was nice because if I were to go to forever hound beauty salon, just these nails would be $60. So it was a good deal, don't let these other reviews scare you too much. It's all about being nice, if you are rude to them why would they want to make your nails look nice? Best nail salon I have found in Eureka. Staff are nice and never too busy to assist. Good selection of colors and services. Also has kid chairs for the young folks. Only con is they only wax on the weekends. While this is the best in Eureka, please be mindful that it isn't going to be the same caliber service you would get in a big city. It was my first time at this nail salon. I had a pedicure from Ninh. He did an excellent job. From the beginning to the end. He scrubbed my feet thoroughly and did a wonderful job with the massage. I had a couple of ingrown nails and he cut my nails and relieved ther pain. A very sweet and gentle man. Very happy with my pedicure. I wasn't very satisfied with LC Nails, first off I'm very very picky about my nails, and color is everything to me. The lady refused to show me what the colors I picked out looked like dry (so I could see the finished color) saying that "You can see what color it is right now" WELL DUH but I wanted to know which shades were the lightest/darkest, I'M PAYING YOU, I WANT THE PERFECT COLOR! I had to tell her to do more than one coat of polish (as if it wasn't obvious, you could still see the acrylic nail extension underneath the only layer of polish) The polish job was thick in some places and thin in others, also each of my nails were either crooked, misshapen, or a different length. The ONLY thing I'm satisfied with is the color, which being a light ballet pink you could easily find at any other salon. No me gusta, DO NOT WANT, and never going back again. read more

I have been looking for a local quick and affordable pedicure. All in Arcata are super spendy or weird. Here you get a good 25$ pedi in a mello environment with excellent massage chairs. They also have the OPI brand nail polish with a good color selection. Great foot & leg massage too. read more

Very nice, the man doesn't listen to your needs and wants very well. I asked him not to cut my nails since they were at the acrylic length and all of a sudden the started cutting them very short. However, they always get you in, but it seems like they just really rush the whole process. The last couple times I have gone my nails have started chipping immediately (with gel), I'm talking a couple days after. The pedis here are pretty good but I do not recommend this place to get your hands done ever. I went in for a fill and by they time I left at least 4 different ppl had worked on my nails leaving them all different shapes and thicknesses! When I went in the following day to have this corrected they told me they only looked like that due to the matte white polish I had chosen and they could thin them only a little bc they might break I asked the. I stop by here on a Saturday afternoon, the shop was dirty. The cuticle cutters hand to be worn cause it was a little painful when the nail tech cut my cuticles, like they were dull. My gel nail manicure and pedicure was rushed. I hated my nail. I literally wanted to get them done over. My French tip was sloppy and the nail polish was so far from my cuticle it looked like I needed a fill. I will never ever go back to this place. Don't waste your money here! read more

I Always go here for pedicures! They always change there style but its always a good experience. Not a fan of there waxing or manicures services since they seem to be in a hurry and my nails turn out uneven. I had my eye brows waxed here but it seriously took over 20 mins! Got a pedicure here and I sat in the drying chair for an hour. Nails still haven't dried because they put way to many coats and don't let them dry long enough in between. DO NOT GO HERE. They rush, they don't care about doing a good quality job, sloppy polishing, chunky un-even polish, they made my natural nails very crooked, over-priced for low quality manicure/pedi. For what they charge, they should do a better job. Polish applied too thick. Lazy rushed gel removal process, they damage natural nails and did not soak off. Also, they don't clean the manicure tubs in between people... I saw them not clean tubs, only drained used water. read more

After spending $50 for this very upsetting experience I had to make appointment with someone else, licensed and professional who knows what is doing to fix this mess. This isn't the fanciest place, but they always get me in and out without an appointment, which is great because a lot of places around Eureka operate only during a normal person's workday. I've had a difficult time finding a nail salon here that doesn't require an appointment so LC Nails has been great in that sense. read more

Okay I have been coming here long enough to write a review! I have a hate love relationship with these place. First of all They are always in a hurry because they accept every single customer that comes in regardless of how busy they are, therefore they don't take time to do a thorough job. They have a tendency to charge different prices even though I come in for the same thing each time, ya whatever I'm good hearted person so I always leave a tip! I think it's about time I find a new nail place in Eureka. I have given them too many chances. If you do come here be warned its a hit and miss type of situation. read more

Worst. gel. manicure. Ever. We made an afternoon apt. For my friend to get a regular manicure & deluxe pedicure, she loved the pedi & hot rock massage, but both of our manicures sucked, as we both had to have at least one of each our nails re done... 2 of mine needed to be sanded & filed & I realized that she hadn't timed the UV light between applications of gel. My friend noticed that her pointer finger polish was all screwed up & needed to be totally re done, while waiting for her toes to dry! Before starting, I told the woman doing my gel mani that I need special attention on both my thumbs, as they had a tendency of splitting, and I was willing to pay extra for help for that problem, which I had gotten for free at all the other salons ( I've been getting gel manicures approx. every 6 to 8 weeks for over 2 years) and although I just got this service done less than 11 days ago, I already need to go to get it done all over again in my hometown. Let me see where do I start? Ok, well its right off of hwy 101/broadway near Big 5, so thats convenient. Plenty of parking. The salon is roomy, has a girly atmosphere, and they took me in right away, no waiting. Then they started my pedicure: lemons n flowers in the foot bath, cute. NO communication during the whole pedicure? not cute. The lady who did my pedicure was not friendly, and she would tap or swipe whichever foot she wanted moved. The hot stones they use to massage you is nice but not when your masseur's nails are dragging and scraping along your shins. Also, they didnt turn on my massage chair nor inform me I had a massage chair. After she was done with my pedicure she proceeded to take my old gel mani off which she did a pretty half ass job leaving old gel on the sides of some nails. I was then seated at a nail station with a diff nail lady who was probably my pedi lady's twin. Anyway, I asked a few times if they could do a design with my gel french mani n everytime they responded with "yes". But nail lady twin tells me she cant do that. I try to show her in pictures and explain to her what I wanted but she just didnt get it. $27 for a pedicure (not worth it at all) $35 for a gel french mani (if you absolutely have no other option or time then this is a good price) - $2 (they'll discount $2 if you use cash) customer service? not friendly total time in salon: 1 hr read more

I've been here before and although its nothing special, I never had any true complaints. Not until now at least. I came back here to get a set of acrylics this time. I was done by Lin and the job is just terrible. After only one day they are showing lift. The ratio of white to bed are different on my thumbs. I asked her to push back my cuticle and she didn't. I also asked her to buff them instead of putting on a top coat (Which I have had done many times and prefer) and she said it wasn't possible. On top of everything, in the middle of the service, a customer came in who had recently gotten her nails done and they were lifting too soon also. Instead of accepting that the job that was done was bad, she gave a million reasons why the nails were lifting (all of which were the customer's fault). Do not go here. They do a bad job and they don't take responsibility when the customer is unsatisfied. read more

Got a manicure today with a friend, called Thursday to make the appointment. It was a little busy when we got there but since I made an appointment thought it would be okay. The lady that did my nails was awful. I was busy talking to my friend so I should've been watching closer but she barely cut my cuticles and painted over top of my cuticles and painted on my skin. Guess since they were so busy she didn't care. She also kept like pushing my hands away kind of hard for me to put them in the UV lights. I also showed her a picture of a particular color I was looking for and asked if she knew if they had something similar. She didn't even care, she just pointed to all of the colors. And manicures usually come with a small hand massage at the end, she did a rushed and awful job. I usually don't leave reviews, but I am very disappointed.
