This is what i asked for and even broke it all down. Not the length just the color... And this is what i got. I showed multiple pictures. And described how blended i want the roots to look. I showed pictures of my hair from just a couple of months prior as well. And i specifically said no money piece because it looks like a skunk when pulled back. (For me anyway). Nope, I got just that along with everything else i did not ask for. I was so sad because this was right before my birthday and NOT what i wanted or asked for at ALL. I honestly hate my hair. And it makes me wish i would've just not gone and waited. My hair was so long and healthy (i always get my hair done) and now it's short again. It was under my breast. I didn't know a trim was equal to 4-5 inches cut off! I also thought a color melt/ root smudge was just that. Not chunky highlights like Kelly Clarkson from the early 2000s. The salon itself is nice and the staff is friendly but Sara did not do a very good job at all. She is nice but i can't say the same for my hair. read more

My most recent visit to Platinum Studio was for a 1 hour float appointment on a Friday morning. I booked two separate 1 hour floats at 12am for my mother and I. Jay greeted us at the front counter upon arrival. They were very kind and patient and took care in giving us a refresher on protocols and particulars for operation of the float pods. To start off, you must shower using the salon provided body wash and shampoo before entering the pod. Crisp white towels were perfectly laid out for me. I began to relax with the warmth of the shower and the products smelled heavenly and felt fantastic on my hair. With my earplugs in to prevent water from entering my ears, I slowly got into the pod and closed the lid. I opt for turning off the light inside. The ambient sounds that play during your float are very relaxing. With the temperature of the water nearly matching the air temperature inside the pod, it feels much like you're floating in nothingness. The few times I have been, it usually offers me a nice break from reality and really allows me to decompress. I've had visions each time that felt very real and made me a bit emotional. At the end of the session, a voice in the pod announces that your time is up. I hopped out and went back into the shower to cleanse my hair and body of the salt. After exiting the float room, I walked toward the back where a dimly lit and warmly decorated seating area was ready for me. A frosted lemon shortbread cookie and a kettle of hot tea was sitting on a little table, across from the blow dry bar, where there are brushes, blow dryers, and a myriad of hair products to try out. It was such a great way to come back into reality after the sensory deprivation of the tank. While this is the only service I've had at this salon, it's a pretty special one. The floats are a unique experience I would highly recommend to anyone willing to try something new! read more

My mom has gotten massage from one of their practitioners for probably 10 years. I was in the studio over Christmas and bought a $90 massage gift certificate for her. Mom had an emergency medical situation, she almost died, and is now with living with us. There is no way she will ever be able to redeem the gift coupon, so I mailed the receipt to the studio requesting a refund. Well, let's put it this way -- I'm glad I only spent $90, because the refund was refused, although I was welcome to "come into the studio next time you're in town and buy $90 worth of products." Are you ready for the kicker? I am in the final stages of a terminal illness. This past Christmas was almost certainly the last one I will ever spend with my mother. God bless us, every one. P.S. re: prior visits. The flotation tank aggravated a previously-unidentified vaginal sore (caused by my cancer treatment), the last massage I got was kind of brutal, and my haircut was decent but barely better than Supercuts. read more

Came here to get sugared not realizing that the women now doing sugaring here is very new to sugaring and not that experienced. I came here awhile ago and saw Jenny who was phenomenal but she moved to Derma Bonita down the street! The women at platinum is super sweet and I had a great time meeting her but my sugaring experience was a bit hectic. It took over 45 minutes, I left sticky with sugar on my arm and face and also in between my legs. I had to stop and only do a portion of my Brazilian because it was so painful and taking so long. She also charged me for a full Brazilian which I thought was kind of crazy considering she's very new. The receptionist on the line told me that I was able to book an appointment and therefore would receive a phone call back within 24hrs. Fast forward 2 weeks later and no call. I really wanted to support this local business & had high hopes for this salon and sadly it seems they turned away a potential customer. Won't be going back. I've been getting my hair and nails done at Platnum Studio for a few months now. Sarah does my hair and she's absolutely wonderful not only does she do a wonderful job on my hair but she is so sweet. I am so happy that I found her after trying if you other places Trish who does nails also does a great job. She does do designs some for an extra cost. I haven't tried the float spa yet, but I've heard that it is great. They have special times with your discounted price and it is actually not nearly as much as I expected. Can't wait to try it. I highly recommend trying Platnum Studio's everyone. There seems to really know what they're doing and the place is actually decorated so neatly. I am disabled and require a cane to walk. I got a pedicure here as a birthday present, and with a name like Platinum Studios, I was anticipating a top notch experience! Imagine my surprise when I found out that I would have to maneuver through narrow spaces up a set of stair risers (like the ones that a choir would stand on to perform) in order to get my pedicure. I almost canceled but thought I would give it a try. The woman giving the pedicure was nice, but the actual experience was disappointing. I asked her pay particular attention to the ingrown toenails on the big toes. She didn't do anything. There was no foot and leg massage, which is typically done with a deluxe pedicure. What I got was certainly not deluxe and not worth the price. And the stair riser you have to climb up! What a HUGE liability!! I certainly did NOT get a Platinum experience. Now I've gotten a gift card to Platinum Studio, again. They still have the high riser, so I'm definitely not getting a pedicure, but I have done a float elsewhere, and really liked it. Since then, I have become disabled (blew out my back) and have decided to try their float. I've some reviews on the float and found them to be positive, so I'll give Platinum Studio a chance to redeem themselves. read more

The owner is such a sweetheart and I could tell she really made an effort to work around my crazy schedule to get my hair done, and I love it so much! This was my second time back to get my hair done and I cannot wait for my next appt! Sammy is such a sweetheart she took such good care of me to remove a horrible eyelash extension from someone else! She offered to help me very late in the evening because of my discomfort and got me in the next day to take care of me! I am getting my third set of eyelashes from her on Thursday and I could not be more excited! She is a professional and makes you feel very comfortable! I came into our hair-trial with photos of ideas and she spent over 1.5 hours with me trying this and that, making sure it was exactly what I wanted. Valerie was able to squeeze me in the next day. Valerie is amazing! She kept me calm while cutting my hair because I was really worried it was going to be too short (I had just cut a foot off my hair the previous day). She was so professional about the other hair stylist & offered a few reasonable explanations about what might have happened rather than bashing the other stylist. She did a fantastic job on my hair!
