I was served quickly, and everybody was friendly I decided to go with the beach nachos..... tortilla chips, queso sauce, pico de gallo, jalapeño (I forgot to ask them to leave it off, so I just picked it off my food,) , chimichurri salsa, avocado cream, and for my protein, I chose kalua pork. The nachos were very good, but nothing spectacular. It wasn't a huge portion, but it was a fair sized portion The queso sauce was The consistency of the "stadium stuff" nacho cheese, but it did taste much better. There was a good amount of tortilla chips, and they were not greasy, all of the toppings played well together, and the Kaúa pork was tender and delicious. The big problem I had, was with food, soda, tax, and tip, almost $38 out the door just for a plate of nachos? I realize, yes, it's Honolulu, yes, it's the airport, and yes, I'm paying for the name of Sammy Hagar, but this is still a ridiculous price. Next time I will just grab a sandwich. Out of a cold case. At the deli next-door. Thanks anyway.

We had a family dinner--for eight--at Mangiamo by 604. I was excited to have my father and brother…read moreexperience this establishment, as I had a great experience two years ago. My father and brother are both military veterans and enjoyed the fact that this venue was situated at a golf course they patronized before. We all ordered drinks--I ordered a bottle of wine, taking advantage of the Half-off Wine Wednesdays; some tried the alcohol specials and others simply elected to have soda. I ordered a few appetizers for the table and those went quickly: calamari, bruschetta, and artichoke dip. Yum! Main entrees followed and everyone seemed to enjoy their selections. We ordered dessert and were disappointed that they ran out of creme brulee...my father ordered the cheesecake and thoroughly enjoyed it. My only reason for not giving five stars has to do with the outdoor seating. I wish the chairs were more comfortable, as we sat there for awhile, waiting for our server to take our large group order along with waiting for food to come out. There is adequate parking and the restrooms are clean and accessible. An elevator is located in the lobby for those who are not able to easily climb the flight of stairs to the venue. I wish the signage was better, as my 74 year old father took the outside steps, as he thought that was the entrance, per signage downstairs.

I don't know how the elderly lady with walker was able to get up the stairs or they weren't able to dine there. I didn't mind this place. It's not like Assaggio, but more like Olive Garden. Food was okay but the view and ambience were nice, especially at Christmas at Night! It's a huge restaurant with seating for parties with a lot of free parking shared with the golfers at the golf course. Indoor and outdoor seating. The last time, my friends weren't too impressed, but we did try variety of dishes from pizza, salad, pasta and appetizers. They have some specials from time to time. So sad that tomorrow is their last day of business according to my friend. Sad to see many restaurants are closing soon.

What do you eat at the Honolulu airport to last the 6-hour trip back to California?…read more Stopover in Honolulu Airport from Kauai to San Francisco. Island Brews at terminal 15 in Honolulu airport is crowded and noisy with overhead TV monitors of sport events. Ordered the $15 Hawaiian pizza and the $15 BBQ chicken. both personal sizes 7" in diameter. Pizza ordered at 11:29am, and delivered at 11:38am, ready in 9 minutes. Wife's Hawaiian Pizza comes with ham, scallion, crushed pineapple, and bacon. Not a whole lot of flavors as they skimped on the overcooked ham and bacon, with only a few bits of pineapple. My BBQ chicken comes with pulled chicken, hawaiian bbq sauce, red onion, mozaarella and gouda cheese. Chicken is tasteless, but the long strips of onions and BBQ sauce make all the difference in the world, as this is the most flavorful of the two pizzas. Fast forward four months and we have another stopover at Island Brews. We order at 11:15am and pizzas arrive at 11:28am. The $15 mushroom sausage pepperoni comes with very little mushroom, but with at least 4 slices of pepperonis and a decent amount of sausage in a red sauce to satisfy any carnivore. The $14 vegetarian pizza comes with jalapenos, basil, mushrooms, and pineapples. The jalapenos add some kick to the pizza. Yes, you can take the pineapple out of Hawaii but can't bring pineapple into Hawaii.

We lucked out with seats right in front of where the Honu was parked! I love the convenience of the lounge being right above the departure gates in Terminal 2. There's a variety of every course: rice, chicken curry, udon, sandwiches, açaí bowl, musubi, drinks, alcohol. Lots of stalls in the clean bathroom, by the kids play area. There is a separate jet bridge that connects passengers while boarding the upper cabin of ANA's Airbus 380 Aircraft. There is a regular lounge and a Suite lounge both sharing one same entrance. Me and my other half booked premium economy and was first to get to the regular lounge as my cousin and his other half were both booked in business class having access to the suite lounge as well. The regular lounge had a semi-full bar, a full spread of buffet selection, an udon bar, as well as non-alcoholic beverages with a premium coffee maker serving illy brand coffee. This lounge is spacious, seating area is extensive, especially considering that HNL isn't a very large airport. There are mainly three different types of seating; comfy lounge chairs and sofas with coffee tables line the large floor-to-ceiling windows, providing a spectacular views of the tarmac and runway. If you are going to Tokyo Narita on the A380, you'll see the HONU aircraft just outside the window. Many passengers were airplane spotting as the first Honu was taxiing out and taking off. Long benches with communal tables are another seating that also serves as a workstation. The dining space also has AC power as well as USB outlets. There is also restaurant style with round cocktail tables, rectangular dining tables making it a very nice space to enjoy snacks, cocktails, or full meal before the flight. Food servers and ground staff agents are professional, and friendly. The entire lounge is kept sparking clean including the restrooms located just past the children's play area. Table and counters were constantly wiped down, the air conditioning temperature and ambiance is truly a Hawaiian/Japanese environment.

The first thing I have to say is that the workers are super nice and friendly, especially the man cashiering in the front. He kept asking us if we needed anything. My husband got the smokehouse salad $16. He got the smoked turkey with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, corn, onions, shredded cheese, topped with bbq and ranch dressing. My ribs were dry and were far from falling off the bone. We got both the original and sweet bbq sauces. I liked the sweet better. It had a hint of spiciness to it. The baked beans had a nice flavor, but my two corn on the cobs were the best. They were super buttery and sweet. We also got a sweet tea $3.50 that came with free refills. It was super sweet. Just dilute it with water and it was good.

Most of their produce/fruit offerings were local and fresh - can't say that about every lounge I've been to. Staff were continually refilling the stations. Drink selection is quite bare - 1 hard seltzer and 2 beers, a few different wines (I didn't check). No spirits, which other self-serve lounges even have. They make it a point to tell you that everything is self-service, including bussing your own plates and dishes. As such, some guests still leave their dishes and trash behind and it really doesn't seem like anyone is paying attention, so tables can stay full for a while. There are very limited big/full tables with outlets nearby, so I ended up bussing someone else's dishes myself to use the table for our party. Everything seemed clean, including bathrooms. Someone is also regularly cleaning it. Wifi wasn't strong enough for me to download anything off Netflix, which was strange, but maybe it was just me. All in all, this would be a 3.5/5 lounge experience, but still glad to have it.
