The missing 1.5 is for a smaller selection than most premium lounges. Their miso braised pork was stand-out and their lilikoi cheesecake bar was delicious. Most of their produce/fruit offerings were local and fresh - can't say that about every lounge I've been to. Staff were continually refilling the stations. Drink selection is quite bare - 1 hard seltzer and 2 beers, a few different wines (I didn't check). No spirits, which other self-serve lounges even have. They make it a point to tell you that everything is self-service, including bussing your own plates and dishes. As such, some guests still leave their dishes and trash behind and it really doesn't seem like anyone is paying attention, so tables can stay full for a while. There are very limited big/full tables with outlets nearby, so I ended up bussing someone else's dishes myself to use the table for our party. Everything seemed clean, including bathrooms. Someone is also regularly cleaning it. Wifi wasn't strong enough for me to download anything off Netflix, which was strange, but maybe it was just me. All in all, this would be a 3.5/5 lounge experience, but still glad to have it.

This lounge is simply a quiet place to sit and wait for your flight away from the noisy chatter and overhead announcements at the terminal. They have complimentary wifi and outlets to charge your devices. If you snag a seat by the windows you have a lovely view of the garden. There is no food or alcohol. You are also not allowed to eat any food or snacks you bring into the lounge yourself. They do offer some beverages including coffee, tea, juice, water, and some canned sodas. I actually really enjoyed the yummy guava juice they had available! Overall I would not pay money to enter this lounge. If your credit card perks include a limited number of Priority Pass lounge visits I would skip this one. My boyfriend has unlimited Priority Pass lounge access with two free guests as a Ritz Carlton card holder so we lose out on nothing by coming in, but compared to other airport lounges we've visited this lounge definitely leaves a lot to be desired.

This lounge is a massive rectangular room and offers a lot of of seating along with beverages in cans and iced water. It is air-conditioned and is a nice respite away from other portions of the terminal which are open air and can get a little warm depending on the season. We didn't stay very long as the lounge got full very quickly and felt a little crowded so we decided to leave and head to arcade a little early. All in all a nice spot for a quick rest but not somewhere I would find myself staying too long as you are not able to have a private conversation as there is no auditory privacy here. But I do appreciate the cold beverages and a soft, comfy chair.

However, compared to the other HNL lounges this one is a pretty comfortable and spacious one with solid food and drink options. The staff are super nice and courteous, and plates are cleared regularly or while you're away to get more food or use the restroom. One thing not to miss are the 2 HNL-exclusive bar drinks that can't be found at any other Sky Club location: the Blue Hawaiian and Mai Tai. Served in a tiki glass, they're definitely fitting of the island vibes and a nice send off before going on a flight! Coming for breakfast, the spread was varied and healthy with an aloha flair to it. Ranging from Hawaiian fried rice to pineapple vanilla yogurt parfait, kale & cranberry breakfast salad, and some of the most juciest and sweetest pineapple cubes at ANY aiprort lounge, there's something for everyone to get a jump to the day. Nothing is overly heavy or greasy, and is filling without feeling like it's weighing you down. A good place to relax and unwind to get a solid meal in before heading out!

The food and beverage offerings are minimal but palatable. When it's crowded things get depleted quickly but they are good about refilling offerings regularly. A good airline lounge in Daniel K Inouye is hard to find. The Delta Sky Club is a mid level lounge at best.

I can get on base with my ID card, I can use the exchange/commissary, I can even fly space A within the United States and its territories. Today, I'm flying commercial out of terminal one at HNL, and I go through security, only to find out that the USO is in terminal two outside security. I thought it would be nice if I could grab a bite to eat, and possibly take a shower before my nine hour flight. So I catch the shuttle and I go over there. I ring the bell, and this lady comes to the door. She looks at my ID, and she says I can't let you in. I explained I've used the USO in the past, and I'm even in their computer system. So she looks back to who I assume is the boss, who is making lunch, and says as loud as she can, HEY, JERRY.... I GOT A 100% DISABLED VETERAN! " and of course, a bunch of people look over toward me... Well, that was embarrassing. Jerry, who's making lunch, doesn't even bother to look up. He just shakes his head and waves me off, like.... "Sorry..." I screwed up my body serving this country, and I should be allowed to use the USO. They allow retired military to use the USO, but they are not serving anymore If they have limited funds, and I can't use it anymore like I used to, that's fine. Maybe they could charge a small admission fee for disabled veterans to help cover the cost Regardless, they could be nicer about it. It's nice to know that at least this USO, they treat their veterans as nice as they treat their active duty and retired people..(said with sarcastic overtones...)
