It's an average hotel restaurant, so if you're expecting romantic ambiance, or amazing dishes that will leave an everlasting memory, I'm afraid you'll be left wanting. However, if you expect decent grub and decent service, you'll be satisfied. The main glitch is their schedule, open for breakfast seven days per week, but dinner is some kind of every other day type deal. It makes no sense. Their response to this issue, they have a sister hotel with an open restaurant and they'll shuttle you over there. Not exactly gonna fill that "Gotta grab a bite right now" fix, so it's still a detriment, in my opinion. In summation, you're not going out of your way to eat here, but if you're staying here and want to grab some breakfast, you'll be satisfied. Update: Their plaza burger is indeed awesome! Big, juicy and flavorful! What more can you ask of your burger? Update #73: Though I'll not change my overall rating, it should be pointed out that dinner is no longer offered at all. As in zero! To offset that, now a free breakfast buffet is included. Previously you had to pay for breakfast and due to the nature of ordering breakfast, it was kind of slow if you were in a hurry. Now, just walk in and feast! It's a solid breakfast buffet! However, if you want something for dinner you have to jump in their shuttle to their sister hotel and partake at that facility. Not exactly convenient, but I understand that hotel no longer has any breakfast, so this is their way of cutting cost and still providing food options for all of their guests at both properties. I was told they were shut down for a year and now only offer cereal, yogurt, make your own waffle and ONE pre-made english breakfast sandwich. Not very welcoming if you have a dairy allergy. We had a wonderful experience here. Good food and great service! Ramon was our server and he did an excellent job. He never let our drinks get empty. He was also very attentive to our needs. I had the huli huli chicken with smashed potatoes, and it was delicious! My family really enjoyed their food as well. I would definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

Although I gave this restaurant five stars, I wouldn't say you should bring a date here. First off, the setting is very basic. It has to be, because, according to management, they have a contract with the military, which means that it is overrun with little ones, and when I say overrun, I mean it literally. The waitstaff seem to take it all in stride, and are very accommodating of the children, as is the menu, with lots to offer as far as kids palates go. There is a fair and varied amount of selections, which should please most diners. I decided on the Grilled Chicken Alfredo, and was extremely surprised and pleased by how tasty it was. The serving was large, perfectly cooked al dente pasta, sauce and chicken, very flavorful. The dish comes with a basic slice of garlic bread, (very much appreciated to sop up the delicious sauce) and freshly grated parmesan cheese for sprinkling. My husband ordered the dry (no gravy) Pork Chops, which, according to him, were very juicy, tender and delicious. As for alcohol, a small selection of beer and wine are available, but no hards or mixed drinks. Lastly, may I add, our server Sharron, who said she was over 70 years old, moved around like a twenty-something, checked on us continuously, told us interesting anecdotes, and was observed joyfully interacting with the many families in her section, and was probably the best part of our dining experience. The fruit was fresh, the presentation pretty and the amount sufficient. What threw me off is how they set the bowl up. There was two pieces of papaya placed on top of some granola and some yogurt inside the papaya. The problem here is at first I thought that the yogurt was plain and needed some honey drizzled over it to compliment the yogurt. Then I realized that there was a lot more granola at the bottom of the papaya once I finished it. Maybe next time put it on top of the yogurt. Just a thought. read more

I can't say anything because none was offered until we asked for a dessert menu. The problem was, she already gave us our check...bummers! There is always room for dessert! Now the overall comfort. It was clean and quiet, which was perfect. I would have love it even more if it had a little more warmth to the place. Something that makes me want to come back and stay longer. Feels like there is a total disconnect with the employees and the restaurant. There is no love, no sense of pride and joy. I didn't see or felt that, the warmth you have for the place you work at. It felt more like an oversized employee cafeteria. Their menu has allot of variety which is a plus, but the execution in presenting the menu to the finish product doesn't do justice to their menu. So I've eaten here a few times but have yet to leave a review. I'm often in the area for business and stop by to grab a quick bite to eat. From the cashier (Marcie) to the various servers, I'm always greeted by a smile and good morning. My favorite thing on the menu is their Island Papaya Bowl and I keep going back to that because the fresh burst of fruit, granola and yogurt is the way I like to start my morning. I've gotten the eggs benedict once or twice and it is good. The hashbrowns are nice and crunchy. But the BEST thing, even more than their island bowl, and I love it enough to go write a review about it, is their COFFEE. They serve quality coffee here. I sluggish and still groggy(anyone who needs their morning coffee can understand) and leave fully charged! The staff is warm and friendly, and the food is good! When I'm by myself, they will offer you the newspaper to read. I can't get over how thoughtful everyone is. Haha and for you other Pokemon Go players out there, there are TWO Pokestops (The Lobby Jungle Mural and a Red Fountain) that can be reached when you sit in the restaurant. Most mornings and evenings they will also have lures on them. Ask to sit by the windows or aquariums, if your GPS doesn't work, ask the server for the WiFi password and it'll connect right up. Convenient place for me as I've stayed at this hotel multiple times the past few months. The menu is pretty good though the food that I had was just average, I ordered the shrimp scampi, the shrimp were cooked well but had little flavor, the pasta was overcooked and dry, it should've been fresh since I was in only ten minutes after opening, my guess is that it was microwaved, it also had little flavor even after asking the waiter for crushed red pepper and covering it with that. I had a side of parmesan broccoli, again very bland, just steamed broccoli with cold shredded parmesan cheese over it. I almost forgot I got a piece of generic hard garlic bread too. We were pleasantly surprised how friendly the staff was, the special for the day came highly recommended and water was promptly brought to our table. James our server went over the menu and recommended some great options. My husband got the special for the day and said how great it tasted! This review is well overdue! My family PCSd to the island in May and we stayed at this hotel until late July. It was something else to say the least. During our stay we visited the café quite a bit of course, pretty much everyday. The food itself was not great but it was complementary as a part of the TLA program so we took it! The selection is not great. I wish there had been a better variety and better quality. It got tiresome eating the same thing every single evening. When we finally found something we liked and got used to, they changed the products which was disappointing to say the least. During our 2 month stay, we only visited the café once for breakfast for our last meal there, and when I had it, I wished we had went sooner! breakfast was food was better than dinner but the service during breakfast is no comparison to the service for dinner. It wasn't awful but it wasn't great. I have been meaning to do this review to highlight how amazing Ramon was to us during our time there. He was so amazing, we requested him by name every single time and were disappointed on the rare occasion that he was off. He quickly learned our regular orders, condiments, back up orders, drinks and everything that we often needed for our meals. He took the time out to chat with us as often as he could, even when he was swamped or not our server, he still made time to check in on us and make us feel like more than a transaction. He always went above and beyond to make our experience as pleasant as possible. Janice, the host, I think her name is Janice, was also amazing to us. She was very friendly and always inviting. She also put forth the effort to always make us feel welcomed and she always tried to make our visit as smooth as possible. Jemma, and James were also great!
