Lavish Nails is in a decent location and that's why I've gone there a few times. But today was my last time. Two men usually run it most days and a woman technician is there occasionally. Unfortunately she is the only one with a bit of people skills. The men have no customer service skills. They never smile and I feel like I'm intruding on them when I've been there. I received a pedicure from them on March 7th. The lady was very aggressive with cutting of the cuticles and cut my toe. She did not speak English at that point, so I did nothing. However, the next day I have big red spots on my arm and will have to go to the doctor to see what it is. We were very happy with the polish! However, at one point my mom mentioned to her tech that the cuticle cutting hurt and she kind of ignored her until I jumped in and repeated what my mom had said. A few days later we noticed a small rash on her inner left ankle. The rash spread over the next few days so we took my mom to urgent care and the dr said she has cellulitis and prescribed her antibiotics. My mom has cancer and is definitely more prone to infections than most, but still worth reviewing in case anyone else who is immunocompromised is considering going here. read more

I used to love coming here, great work but the customer service is beyond me. Very rude! Came in for a pedicure, one tech told me to "Go there" as he pointed towards the spa chairs. Of course I didn't know which chair since nothing was set up, the tech stood on her phone, looked at me then back at her phone then FINALLY decided to get a chair/water ready for me. Water was COLD. I changed it & she came back over & switched it back to cold. I told her I didn't want cold water & she said "It's not" I said "It actually is, please turn it back" & she walked away. I try to always be positive & assume someone is just having a bad day & just needs a pass. Tried going to them again. Was told there would be a small wait, okay that's fine. I waited 30 minutes while one tech just sat there waiting for a customer to get done with her pedicure before he did her nails. While I waited (only wanted a manicure) two customers came in & said they had an appointment but the owner knew nothing of an appointment, told them to have a sit as he continued to sit & do nothing. Shortly after, the women tech started water for their pedicures and then had them go over to soak. I waited at least 45 minutes, before finally leaving. They take walk ins & have more than enough time in between "appointments" but chose not to help. If they prefer appointments and no walk ins, they need to say that rather than constantly being rude & unprofessional. read more

Iv been here a few times... the final product is average but the service is piss poor. I made an appointment for two friends and I to celebrate her birthday. Made the appointment 4 days in advance and was told it would be fine and that they could take us. When we got there they were understaffed and taking people who walked in the door even though we had an appointment. The lady turned water on for my two friend's pedicures and then proceeded to leave to pick up her friend. How are you understaffed when I call four days in advance and you say you are capable of taking us? I proceeded to wait an hour to start, after the woman who walked in after me WITHOUT an appointment, was given a manicure before me. To top it off the man who did my nails was very rough around cuts on my fingers, laughed off the fact that he took a walk in before respecting an appointment, and had severe halotosis. Definitely worth spending more and not cringing for two hours next time I need my nails done. read more

All I needed was gel polish on my hands and the lady doing them kept talking about a manicure even though I told her multiple times I wasn't there for a manicure. Then while she cutting my cuticles she kept hurting me and ignoring me when I was flinching. She cut about half a centimeter of skin from my pinky finger. read more

I decided to indulge myself and swing in for a pedicure. It's starting to become sandal season again and my feet were looking real trashy. I came in about 4:30 pm and they were pretty busy. My fault...I didn't make an appointment. One of the nail techs asked if I could wait, which I did. I waited about 15 minutes. Fine with me, I was in no rush, but if you're expecting an "express pedicure", you're in the wrong place. I was seated and the nail tech let me settle in while she went to grab a clean set of tools and towels. Sadly, she let the water run too long and we had somewhat of a mess. I felt bad...We both noticed the overflow of water at the same time. But they had it under control. I opted for the deluxe Pedi, which includes: paraffin wax, foot massage, sugar scrub, callus removal, hot stone massage, hot towel, and polish for $35. I was there a good hour and 20 minutes, which was super relaxing. I loved every minute of it. And all the people working there were super nice, including my tech! I will totally come back. It's well worth it. But I will plan ahead and remember to bring cash next time...I don't think it's easy for them to accept tips on cards. For the amount of work they do, they totally deserve a tip, the right way. read more

I went in to have them fix my nails which I KNOW they were bad. That's why I was there. The guy who did them kept bickering about every other nail of how bad it was which again i was aware of. Had I complained for the amount charged would have been a different story but money wasn't the issue here. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day or if he's just tired of his Job but if that's the case find another profession. Clients go in sometimes to treat themselves after a hard day and to have to deal with this negativity is very unprofessional and just straight up rude. On top of that he took forever. If he was pissed about the time I got there they could have told me to come back the next day, made an appointment or something else instead off insulting my last tech. Who by the way did them very nice and I had a lot of compliments from. The fact that I had bit them and messed them up to that point was not the last technicians fault. I had a family death and did a little bit of gardening to help me feel better so yes, I know they were bad, which was why I was there. I do not recommend this place if you're trying to relax and treat yourself! He was very rude. The guy upfront though was nice. I think he can teach him a few things about being personable. Oh, and I almost forgot, they didn't even give me the option of regular nail polish or gelish. They just said choose a color from there, which obviously was the gelish section to make more money. My first visit two weeks ago to get a new set, was very favorable. Now, 2 weeks have gone by and I need fills. Kevin, says that is his name, did my full set and today did my fills- they look worse now than they did after 2 weeks. The gel is not covering the entire nail and look like the nail has grown out because the gel only covers right above the cuticle so it looks like the nail has grown out. I DO NOT recommend this place or if you do, avoid Kevin since he does not know how to do fills. Came in the thursday before memorial day weekend to get a full set and pedicure. My full set was done and I was on my way to California the next morning. On my trip I noticed the paint job on my nails was not fully finished and that the nails were chipping so easily and by Tuesday my thumb acrylic nail came off and the pinky was split down the middle. It hadn't even been a week since I got them done! Im here now as i called for a refund and they said no refunds but we will fix your nails.
