So good!! We had the cheese pizza, and a cronut, donut holes and Cesar salad. So yummy! Pictured was our to go: got croissant, donuts and iced tea. Great staff!

I stumbled across this cafe for a late lunch. I grabbed a couple slices of pizza, one Hawaiian and one hot pepper. Surprisingly, the pizza was really good. I say surprisingly because they have donuts, smoothies, burgers, etc. Taste reminded me of Little Caesars back in the1990s in Detroit back when the cheese was real and the pizzas came in a 2 pack in the paper packaging. I'll definitely be coming back again.

Laventina's Pizza is hands down one of our favorite spots! The pizza is always fresh, perfectly crispy on the outside, and loaded with flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients every bite is so good.

Only reason I gave 2 stars because the pizza was ok

No matter the bad reviews we decided to try this location out, since its closer to home than the newport location. First of all it was dead, we walked in and no hello no nothing. We still figured lets give it a shot. No friendly smiles no help, just order and wait. The pizza was sub par, nothing like the newport location. Here is your pizza and go, no, would u like some cheese or pepper to go, just horrible customer service. On top of it the bakery thats in there, the case was full of bugs/flies, filthy. This place is giving laventina's a bad name.

    Lacentina's menu and display

Live down the street so was excited to try out both Rose Bakery and Laventina's after it opened. Rose Bakery is decent. Mainly picked up baked goods like donuts and danishes. The prices are steeper than a family owned donut shop, but it tasted alright! Good, but not amazing. Workers were kind and weren't super informed on what was being sold since the place just opened. Whatever, giving them some grace. I did learn that after 3PM all baked goods are 50% off. I'd say more worth it during that time. For the Laventina's side, service was also alright. I got the vibe that the people working didn't care? The pizza quality is pretty low. Comparable to maybe iKea or Knotts cause Costco pizza is even better than what they have. One slice is $4 for cheese or pep. At the price and quality, i'd rather get a whole pie from Costco. I also noticed prices on the POS is higher than advertised on the menu. I couldn't figure why it wasn't adding up to menu prices, and didn't bother asking since everyone was care-free. Not worth the hassle. All and all, Rose i'd go back for just for the convenience. Laventina's is a pass. Newport might be a better bet for quality and service according to other reviews.

I stopped by for an early dinner on my way back to San Diego last weekend. My friend and I each got the bulgogi garlic noodles (I added the egg but for $2.50 not sure it added a lot of flavor or value to the dish), shared the wings and an order fries. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee on the cashier's recommendation--good suggestion, nice flavor without an overpowering amount of sugar. The wings were fantastic. Fries were fair, good portions and flavorful. I liked the noodles but weren't blown away. Everything was very soft, not a lot of textural change. The portion was generous with lots of bulgogi beef. The service was great--friendly and responsive. They have a small lot which was fine at 530pm on Sunday but probably problematic at lunch or normal dinner hours. My one complain was dirty dining room. Maybe it was just after the lunch rush, but the tables and floor could have used some wiping and the trash cans were full. Nice easy meal stop off the freeway at Orange.

Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable about the plans for the Draft and managed to take care of the overwhelming amount of people that were in attendance. Everything arrived fresh to our table as expected, and the beers were nice and cold (honestly not much else you can ask for). I think their prices have gone up a bit, but drinks are still cheaper than most other places ($4 draft beer is hard to come by these days). The wings were a little bit on the dryer side, but still tasted good. I'd definitely come back to watch a game and grab a beer with friends, but probably wouldn't come if I was in a time crunch because things do move on the slower side.

I'm a regular patron and enjoy their menu and food quality as well as the atmosphere. The flavors all look very interesting and I ended up trying the Nashville hot bone in as well as the Kung Pao boneless. The boneless wings were far better than expected, great portion size, excellent amount of breading and texture as well as a decent sauce. Something in the sauce is a little bit reminiscent of oyster sauce, The first few wings are great, then the sauce gets a little bit redundant afterwards. Maybe some acidity could help lighten it up a little bit? I was most excited about the Nashville hot and was really hoping for big juicy bone in wings with great texture! I guess 2 out of 3 isn't bad... The Nashville hot sauce is great, just the right amount of heat and acidity you can keep going back for more! Best part is, it's not too salty! The wings are really good size, large and juicy! Where they fall short is in texture... The skin is soft and soggy, reminiscent of raw chicken thigh skin. These Wings didn't get hot enough to even render the fat immediately under the surface of the skin. It made the texture unbearable, I actually peeled most of the skin off of all of the wings before eating them as the texture ruined the experience. I know they were not, but I feel like they were boiled instead of fried. I guess I am just stuck making wings at home as no one in Southern California can seem to get this right... I really wanted to like these and was really excited about them, not a big boneless wing eater, but it's the only thing I'd go back for, if I went back. Jolene's if you're listening please fix this wing texture and either give me a crispy skin or a crunchy coating. I eat wings once a week and would love nothing more than to eat them there!!! Also I had the umami sauce as well as the Nashville hot ranch, both were great, neither were overpowering and both were light enough to allow me to taste the wing sauce underneath.

The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and has a really nice ambiance. We actually live much closer to the Maywood location, but we prefer this one because the neighborhood feels safer and the overall vibe is better. I believe both locations are fully halal. One thing to note: if you order the XL pizza, the crust is much thinner than the regular sizes. We didn't realize that when ordering online, so that's partly on us, but I do wish it was made a little more obvious during checkout. It seems like parking could be a bit tight if it's busy since there's a small dedicated lot, but we usually go later at night and haven't had any issues. My current favorite is the 3 Finger Combo: 3 tenders, crinkle cut fries, Texas toast, and a fountain drink for under $12. I suggest ordering additional original sauces for your order. I love dipping my toast in it too! Pricing is very reasonable compared to other fast food restaurants. The quality is definitely there!
