The staff are super friendly, the prices are really reasonable, and the patio seating is so beautiful and cozy. My dog loves it here too. the vibe is just amazing! This is kind of a weird review because I have to review two separate locations in the same space. The pizza was the main reason I stopped here, and ChatGPT told me they sold pizza by the slice, so that was a winner for me. When you go in, think of it as a food court. The bakery is one store, the pizza place another, even though they share the same feel and kitchen. I wanted to try their maple bar, but the pizza side couldn't ring it up. They also couldn't ring up drinks!?! We had to go to the bakery register for that. There was only one person working the counters (it was a slow Monday mid-afternoon), and she was very friendly and nice, and seemed to understand the setup was weird without saying it, so 5 stars for her. They're applying for a liquor license, which I assume will be on the pizza side? Hard to tell. The slice of pizza was sent back to the kitchen to be heated up, and I got my maple bar and a Diet Coke from the other register while I waited. It seemed to take longer than normal to reheat the pizza compared to other by-the-slice places, but that's OK. Now I have to be honest. The pizza was just OK. And if you read my reviews, I'm big on pizza! The sauce didn't have much kick and was maybe on the sweeter side, but even that was light. The cheese was good, and the crust wasn't thin or thick. I had such a great experience here! Ordered a pizza with custom toppings and was very happy with my selection. Customer service was great, and the young man helping us was SO patient (u couldn't decide LOL). They were pretty busy when I came and my pizza still came out in a timely manner! I stumbled across this cafe for a late lunch. I grabbed a couple slices of pizza, one Hawaiian and one hot pepper. Surprisingly, the pizza was really good. I say surprisingly because they have donuts, smoothies, burgers, etc. Taste reminded me of Little Caesars back in the1990s in Detroit back when the cheese was real and the pizzas came in a 2 pack in the paper packaging. I have been a long time Laventinas customer for 30 years. That being said, the cheese, sauce, toppings, etc.. is consistent with the original Newport Beach location. Of course there is always going to be growing pains with a new location so it's understandable if it isn't always perfect like the OG. Also, I could care less if I am greeted right away when I walk into this pizza-centric takeout spot since I expect the service staff to be busy working on food prep and customers orders. The ambience isn't even relevant since this isn't an actual dine-in restaurant like previous reviewers have been assuming. Keep it real Laventinas! Pulled up to Laventina's Pizza in Orange thinking I had self-control. That was my first mistake. Ordered "just a couple slices"... next thing I know I'm three slices deep, staring at the box like we've been through something together. The crust? Crunchier than my knees getting out of bed. The sauce? So good it definitely has a trust fund. The cheese pull? Honestly should be illegal in at least 7 states. At this point Laventina's isn't a pizza place -- it's a lifestyle choice and a mild addiction. Huge shoutout to the team for absolutely ruining my ability to enjoy average pizza ever again. No matter the bad reviews we decided to try this location out, since its closer to home than the newport location. First of all it was dead, we walked in and no hello no nothing. We still figured lets give it a shot. No friendly smiles no help, just order and wait. The pizza was sub par, nothing like the newport location. Tried this as an option to a very crowded Baja Fish Tacos. Opted for Laventina's over Rose Bakery Cafe for no particular reason other than Laventina's seemed a better option for lunch that day. Big mistake. Incredibly slow service for starters...both while ordering and then being served.....if I hadn't of paid already I would have got up and left. I ordered the meatball sandwich. Bun was soggy, cheese wasn't even melted at all, it was a total mess to try and eat as it fell apart. Just a total fail in every way. Never going back. I may try Rose Bakery and Cafe but never Laventina's With the amount of food options available restaurants get 1 shot at retaining business....I will even make an exception if the server is extremely pleasant and helpful but neither of those applied here. read more

Live down the street so was excited to try out both Rose Bakery and Laventina's after it opened. Rose Bakery is decent. Mainly picked up baked goods like donuts and danishes. The prices are steeper than a family owned donut shop, but it tasted alright! Good, but not amazing. Workers were kind and weren't super informed on what was being sold since the place just opened. Whatever, giving them some grace. I did learn that after 3PM all baked goods are 50% off. I'd say more worth it during that time. For the Laventina's side, service was also alright. I got the vibe that the people working didn't care? The pizza quality is pretty low. Comparable to maybe iKea or Knotts cause Costco pizza is even better than what they have. One slice is $4 for cheese or pep. At the price and quality, i'd rather get a whole pie from Costco. I also noticed prices on the POS is higher than advertised on the menu. I couldn't figure why it wasn't adding up to menu prices, and didn't bother asking since everyone was care-free. Not worth the hassle. All and all, Rose i'd go back for just for the convenience. Laventina's is a pass. Newport might be a better bet for quality and service according to other reviews. read more

Absolutely terrible experience at Laventina's Pizza. I placed an order for a large pizza and a coke and waited over 40 minutes. When I finally asked where my food was, the woman at the counter said there was "confusion" among the workers, they never made my pizza. Then, unbelievably, one of the employees admitted they thought my pizza was an extra, so one of the workers ate it. Instead of processing the refund properly, they handed me $21 cash even though I paid $23.29 on my credit card, and I never received my soda. The place was completely disorganized. All the workers clearly had no idea what they were doing. Only one lady seemed to be making an effort, but even she couldn't explain what happened. This location is not as efficient as the Newport location. This was one of the most unprofessional restaurant experiences I've ever had. Totally unacceptable. I walked in with my co worker. We waited to be greeted. An employee "Joa" was sweeping and saw us standing said can I help you? I said yes can we place an order and he said alright hold on. Before we ordered We asked if we can use the same coupon for 2 lunch meals and he said Nah. Ok no problem. My co worker used it. I pulled out another coupon for a medium pizza from their mailers and he said we can not use it because we are the same party: we said no we are separate, and his response was Whatever Let me ask my manager bro. By this time my co worker was mad and said cancel my order please. His Manager Manuel came over to process the refund and "Joa" was kinda whatever laughing here and there chuckling as the manager was serious trying to help us. Manager looking at him giving him hand signs to stop or relax. But Joa didn't care, he kept on being a whatever youngster. I Do Not recommend this pace. Immature employee, inexperienced no customer service. I don't expect to go back to this place if that kid is employed there. This place is incredible. We drive to Newport Beach to buy pizza all the time. Glad they're in town. We never had a bad experience like the others but I can see a new staff for there 3rd location needs to be trained. The Newport staff is supper friendly and kind of I recommend to give them a try. If you notice the reviews are on service not in the pizza itself. The wings and pizza are A+, let them tighty up the staff and it will be worth it. read more
