Esp. when it's normal in this pathetic consumer culture to find something to whine about. The ranch dressing is phenomenally savory here. I will devour the ranch dressing at Hoots like an Irish Wolfhound trying to lick the peanut out of the bottom of a discarded jar of Skippy. Just like most people I wish the wings were bigger. I was actually very surprised with the size but with a 10 piece, you don't walk away hungry. Admittedly, I have been a fan of Hooter's wings since I was a college student (don't judge!). While I doubt I'll ever return to an actual Hooter's again, it's nice to know I can get a little taste from the past in takeout form. The menu is pared down but the wing options have expanded with new flavors and cooking methods (including smoked!). I was too dumb to plan ahead and download the app, but you should! Only later I realized I could have had $5 off my meal. The smell of the wings and the breading are the same, though the actual chicken has changed. Hooter's used to have mutant sized chicken wings and drums, but now the chicken is no different than any other wing shop. Overall, Hoot's was a nice drive down memory lane. Time will tell if this becomes a part of my rotation or if I'll be back at WingStop. read more

It did take a bit for our food to be ready considering we were the only ones in the restaurant, so we were excited when it came finally came out. I definitely got full real quick with the food that we got and was surprised at how large the side of fried pickles were. I definitely wished I asked for the wings to be tossed in less sauce cause it was a lot and I kept finding myself trying to remove the access sauce. Had to try this place since it's new on chapman. First off, it's not really the Hooters type place you're thinking. It's to go style, and you can sit inside or outside but have to order with the cashier. There's two choices for draft beer, and the bare minimum sugar soda drinks. Small menu as well. Young Cashier with fake lashes took our order. We got the combo for two which includes 15 wings, 2 flavors, 2 dips, choices of fries (tots or waffle fries) and 2 drinks. Came out to $30. After ordering we waited patiently for her to give us our soda cups and she tried to tell us the combo doesn't come with drinks. And it clearly is written on the menu then she agreed and said she hadn't selected it on her screen. You'd think she would know her menu by now. Anyway to say the least wing rub was good with lemon pepper, medium buff sauce is very mild. The waffle fries tasted like funnel cake. I think it's using the same oil as the dessert. They do beat Buffalo Wild Wings in my opinion but wing stop got them beat for sure. read more

Stopped by today for the grand opening. Staff is very friendly. I ordered the Buffalo shrimp and they were amazing! Veggie sticks were cold and crisp. They let us try some of the sauces before choosing one. We also got the boneless Buffalo wings and curly fries both were good. We are coming back tomorrow to try the bone-in classic wings. The people that work there are very nice. We ordered breaded wings and breaded boneless wings, tater tots, and mozerella sticks. I don't think they use actual deep fryers, but rather commercial air fryers. So the food was meh. Imagine getting frozen breaded chicken wings from the store and popcorn chicken. You heat up in your oven at home. This is what everything tasted like. It wasn't bad, but it's not great and really no different than what you can buy frommthe frozen food aisle and heat up yourself. I ordered the original breaded buffalo wings expecting them to taste like the hooters restaurant ones and they were not remotely close. The buffalo sauce tasted semi sweet and they were borderline glazed, not breaded We also ordered tater tots and fries, they tasted stale , like they had been sitting out for hours. I recently had the chance to check out the new Hoots Wings that opened up at the corner of Chapman and Tustin, and I must say, it's a refreshing twist on the classic Hooters dining experience. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the space was modern and welcoming, with a friendly staff that made me feel right at home without the traditional Hooters Girls approach. We ordered wings and shrimp with fries and a drink. The price was right and the service was great. They did have some issues with the register, but it's opening day, if something can go wrong it will. But it's not just about the wings. The seasoned fries were awesome too! The service was great. The woman up front was awesome. Sure, it's Hooters without the Hooters Girls, but what you're getting in return is a spot that lets you focus on sharing a meal with friends, and family. They have breaded, naked, roasted or smoked wings. I tried the grilled chicken sandwich and it was super juicy with a buttery brioche bun, accompanied with perfectly prepared tater tots.
