I'm SO happy to find a local wing place!!! I'm so sick and tired of wingstop, the quality and the service has gone down so much there. This place is great it definitely rivals a lot of wing places I have tried but truthfully the fact that it's not wingstop is good enough for me. I am beyond obsessed with the spicy bbq sauce they have here. We also tried the Linda's special and it was good but not that spicy and I was looking for something truly spicy so I probably won't order it again. I would like to try all their flavors soon so I'll be working my way through this menu eventually. The space was big inside but it always feels too empty here so I do prefer to order take out when I come here. Either way I love the wings here and I don't feel like this place gets enough credit!! Very underrated for how good the wings and sauces are. read more

Wings are good. They made mine to order. I got all flats. The ranch is made here but I was told the blue cheese is not made in house. I loved this meal. Lunch specials looked like a better value. read more

First off, I would like to give a shout out to Drake who held the fort down when we stopped by a few weekends ago. He was the only one working and it did not phase him. His customer service was on point. Other than the amazing service and experience we had, the food was also a plus. We ordered the family meal which gave us 20 wings and two sides. We got the seasoned fries and onion rings. We ended up ordering the Lemon Pepper and Garlic Parmesan wings and they were delicious. The quality was great and flavors were perfect. I did prefer the lemon pepper more but they both did not disappoint. There is so many different flavors to choose from. If you want spicy, they def have many flavors that can challenge your taste buds. Many classic flavors on menu too so def need to check those out too. A favorite on the menu is the loaded fries. You can add any wings flavor to your fries to get that extra oompf! We will def be back to try out those fries and we hope you stop by too. read more

We came from the I.E. just to eat here because we were craving wings and GAHDAMNNN THIS PLACE DIDNT DISAPPOINT!!!! Juiciest wings, tastiest sauces, and chillest staff i've ever had at a wing joint also the food came out in less than 10 min (wasn't busy) read more

Great spot for wings and other things. Went twice in one week. I was expecting a few of the sauces to be a little hotter (Mango and House) when I read the description. However the flavor was still great. I am a big fan of dry rubs as I feel the wet stuff leaves the wings soggy. The Dynamite dry rub is awesome. My favorite from the "wet" side has been the Chili Garlic Soy. I also got the tots and asked to have the seasoning from the seasoned fires added... bomb. Then I got a order of the tenders. They were HUGE and juicy. No complains there. Lastly I got the Chicken Alfredo. While I didn't try it, the person I got it for liked it and said they would order it again for sure. read more

First time trying out this place. Asked for 5 wings just to try them out and when I asked what flavors were good a customer heard and said try the lemon pepper. The lemon pepper wings were really Good and flavorful and I also had to try the garlic noodles with shrimp which was also really Good. Def recommend this spot read more

First off I do have to say I love the Westminster location, their wings and food in general is just fantastic. It is a little out of the way for me which is why I was excited to see them open in Orange which is a lot more convenient. I ordered 15 pieces and got the jalapeno, spicy lemon pepper and red curry. I'm one of those people that prefer drumettes over flats. I do feel it's unreasonable to expect all drums, at least without paying a premium, but would expect somewhere close to a 50/50 mix. Out of the 15 wings I had 2 drums and 13 flats. I did complain about this and all they told me was if I wanted more drums I need to request it. I didn't think that would be necessary as I felt I'd get more than just 2 out of 15 pieces. So I guess next time, if there is a next time, I need to make a special request just to make sure I get an even mix of pieces. The bigger issue was none of my wings had any type of crunch to them. Granted two of styles I got were wet or semi wet, they should have some sort of crunch. It's not like they sat for 15 minutes before I dove in and got completely saturated by the sauce, I pretty much dove into them the moment they hit my table. The jalapeno, which is my favorite and my go to order in Westminster, had no crunch either. I don't know what the excuse for that is since there is no sauce to it. Soggy fried wings is a huge turnoff for me. They give me flashbacks to back when I'd eat the soggy wings you'd get from Domino's late night in college when we didn't know any better. I basically tried one of each of the 3 flavors and lost my appetite. I really hope they turn it around and fix these early mistakes. I've had too many good experiences with Socal Wings to let this one linger in my mind. UPDATE: I looked up some pics I took of the wings I've ordered from Westminster (it's been over a year since I went there) and they look night and day from what I got here. Those wings had actual breading on them which is why they're so crunchy. These had no breading on them. Not sure if all the franchises changed up their recipe or if the Orange location is doing their own thing. You wouldn't even think that they're part of the same company except the two menus are identical. read more

I love this spot! The wings aren't rinky dinky like Buffalo Wild Wings or another other joints! You get your money's worth and they're flavorful! My favorites are the house special and the mango habaneros! The other ones are equally fire And they have TVs! I can watch my favorite sports. Wish they served beer too but this way I can spend my Saturdays and Sundays watching sports and wings! That's the best combo ever. read more

My fiancé and I are moving in to this area and we drove by SoCal Wings tonight and popped in. We've never been to this or any other location they have. We ordered a 20 wing combo. It comes with two side options, we got seasoned fries and Jalapeño poppers. For the poppers we got a choice of Cheddar or Cream Cheese (which is awesome btw) and went with cream cheese, they were crispy on the outside and warm within. The seasoned fries were made perfect. The wings are tasty (& very big.) we ordered Mango Madness and House Style. Both were awesome. It was lots of food and we didn't finish it, but we were impressed. Will be back. read more

Love the flavor of this place. Westminser location does give bigger chicken and more sauce though. Unfortunately I can't eat here anymore since they fry the chicken in the same oil as the shrimp (shellfish allergies) So people with shellfish allergies be warned that you'll get an allergic reaction. Red curry is my favorite here read more

Don't sleep on these wings. Stopped in for wing Wednesday, 10 wings and some fries for $10. Good deal now days. Was really surprised how much I liked the wings. Wish I could remember the flavors I got ‍ If you're in the mood for wings give them a try read more

It was wing Wednesday so I thought ok let's try a few of these. Ordered the lemon pepper, Korean style and honey sriracha. Out of the three, the lemon pepper was my favorite. Crispy and delicious with just the right amount of seasoning. The Korean style were on the small size and wasn't much to them. The seasoning was ok with a hint of heat. The honey Sriracha was a big gooey sticky mess. My least favorite out of the three and again they were on the small side. Overall, just ok. I should have tried the original buffalo, but maybe next time if I make it back. read more

I love this place! I try to come at least once a week. So Cal Wings truly knows how to deliver on flavor. The menu offers a wide variety of wing options, from classic Buffalo to unique and creative flavors. The wings were cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The wings are much larger than the other spot down the street, let's call them..."Wing Start." Aside from their fantastic wings, So Cal Wings also offers a range of other delicious options. The portions were generous, ensuring that no one left hungry. So Cal Wings on Tustin Ave in Orange, CA, is a hidden gem for wing lovers. Give them a try - you won't be disappointed! read more

Sad face.. we moved from Westminster and always ordered at that location. We were excited to find a new location near home and now regret coming here. Our Cajun fries came without any seasoning, the boneless wings are literally pieces of chicken breast just dipped in sauce, the blue cheese is watery and tastes old. The boneless chicken is really juicy, but it's not "wings". There's no breading, just sauce. The only good thing we ordered were the mozzarella sticks and those are just frozen ready to fry. The bone in wings we got (garlic Parmesan) barely had any cheese on them. We had to put our own Parmesan on them just to get some flavor on there. Sorry SoCal Wings, this was a huge disappointment. Not mad, just won't be back. read more

Picked up wings from here on my way home from work. Was talking to a friend and he recommended this establishment. Their winds were good but not great, as it lacked flavor. May be I should asked for extra spicy . Prices were a little on high end. Will give them another try soon... read more

I'm giving them 2 stars for the following: Ordered a 15-piece wing sauced in "honey BBQ, house special, BBQ dry rub" and a cucumber salad. My issues are the flavors and misleading menu. *Honey, BBQ wasn't sweet. In fact, it lacked both honey and BBQ. *House special had no mention of jalapeños in the menu or the guy at the counter. *Dry rub BBQ, in my opinion, was the best of them all. The flavors were on point and would order them again. *Now, when you think of cucumber salad, you think of refreshing, right? Well, this wasn't anyware close to refreshing. Again, there was no mention of spice as part of the ingredient. This was a bit spicy for what I was expecting, and I decided to toss it. So that was a waste of money. If I had 1 recommendation for this place, explain the menu. If it's spicy, mention or label it. If I was eating it there, trust me, I would have handed the salad back. read more

My family ordered wings, fried fish with garlic fries, and fried zucchini. The fish and zucchini were not very good. The zucchini was overly breaded, the fish tasted odd. I suspect they were both fried from frozen and not prepared at the restaurant. The garlic fries were not tossed. Rather the garlic/oil mix was dumped on top of part of the fries. A little effort in mixing the fries would be nice. The wing were okay with below average crispiness. read more

Food was ok. For 15 wings, cole slaw, and fries , and tip was $38. Even In today's age I think that's pretty high. Also, it took 20 minutes to get food and then never brought my drink. They brought me my food in a to-go bag when I was eating in. When I said I ordered it for here he said "we ran out of trays. " there was 8 People in the restaurant. Also, I had this really gross taste in my mouth all night after eating their food I wouldn't go back. This is a typical Orange County starting out restaurant experience where the restaurant is understaffed and the staff is undertrained, I don't like wasting my time or my money going to places like this. I went to spend time with friends, which was great. Also I felt a bit sick after leaving. read more

Review is based on service. I came on Wednesday August 2 around 6:20pm with my wife and 11 month son. The guy at the counter was ghetto and didn't greet me at all. Gave me a look of attitude like I'm bothering him. lol He was counting change at the counter when I came in and completely ignored me. I asked, "are you okay?" As he looked angry, pissed off, and he was too good to help me. I then asked, "do you still have your 85 cent wings?" He then said "no" so I walked out of the door. I missed the old place Wing Ferno. So I went across the street to Wing Stop and got food. Will never come back to this place. read more
