Lamppost Pizza of Orange was a five-star experience for our group. We came after a basketball tournament, and the timing was perfect. The owner was a very nice guy and made us feel welcome. Our server, Jhayr, was the MVP. He asked everyone what they wanted, double checked to make sure drinks were covered, and kept the whole group organized. We came here on a Friday evening. This is a very large pizza place; great for gatherings! We ordered a small combo pizza and two 16 oz draft beers. The total was $50. This place could do so much better if they lowered their pieces. My husband said he went to a location in the IE and that restaurant offered specials like buy a pizza and get a second for $5. It wasn't buttery with a nice flavor like Corona's crust. The dough was overcooked and not enjoyable to eat. We ordered two large pizzas with extra cheese, and no one finished their slices. Our family immediately didn't like the dough. It just wasn't good. Total waste of money. Sure, the cheese and toppings were good. But the dough and crust are really important when it comes to pizza. The price is much higher than I think it should be even with the rise in food costs. Large pizza salad 4 drinks is almost $100. The service is ok. It's definitely changed throughout the years. They start rushing you out and are like we are closing soon and will come to remind you. For the amount of money you spend I feel like you shouldn't feel so rushed. It is unfortunate so many of the locations closed, so I am glad this one is still here so my kid can have the same post-game pizza experience I had growing up. The pizza here is some of the best. They have a great crust that is crispy on the outside with good chewiness in the center. It is worth the extra cost. Although this is a hole in the wall strip mall location, there are lots of tables and an assortment of arcade games. There is plenty of space to bring the whole team. The staff are great and if you call a day or two in advance to let them know you are coming, they will be prepared and offer great service. Awesome Pizza place. We had lunch here today with some friends. I have not been to Lamppost Pizza in a while. We had a table of 5, and we ordered 2 large barbecue Chicken pizzas, and one regular large Pepperoni pizza, and it was delicious. Both pizzas are good. Pizzas are really big too. Nice family looking place right in the heart of Downtown Orange near Chapman University. Not very expensive here either. We had a good time. Nice to be back again. read more

Julio and the guys here at our neighborhood Lamppost Pizza in Orange are so warm and courteous, my kids and I are in here at least once a week when we stop by our favorite pet store Super Pets in the same retail center. They support all the local youth sports teams and have a fun arcade located in the back with the kids favorite Motorcycle game. They usually have the Angels on during game nights and offer pitchers of your favorite beers on draft. All real cheese and natural ingredients ONLY, and courteous helpful staff like Julio make sure we keep coming back for more. Inflation is really hurting the old restaurants you used frequent and love. Today, with remorse, I announce that one of my all time favorites has now lost me forever. Lamppost Pizza on Chapman in Orange. First of all, walk in for lunch on a Friday. 12:30, and I was literally the only person in the place. I will say that service was decent. Ordered a Beef Dip and a Coors Light. He gave me a deal on the Coors Light, since I ordered a sandwich. Total cost $21.00. I know Lamppost has always been more pricy than most pizza chains, but this did seem ridiculous. Beef Dip $12.50, Coors Light Schoon $10.50. Coors Light was cold. Sandwich. First of all, I have gotten Lays potato chips for years----GONE! Just a sandwich for $12.50. Beef, soft, good. The bread (which is what makes a sandwich for me) not their normal bread. This was soft, gooey, disgusting. Had to just dip the beef in the dip. Dip sauce, just okay. Bottom line cost vs. sandwich - POOR! read more

Very bad service today. We have been here a few times and I was told my service dog was not allowed and refused to take our order. I have never had problems coming here until today. To the owner of Lampost Pizza you have no outdoor signage displaying no dogs allowed and NO SERVICE dogs allowed. I suggest that as a business owner you go back and learn the laws about service dogs and disabilities. My dog is fully trained and licensed and wears a service dog vest, he did not asked anything he just refused service. My dog has been on flights, restaurants, store and has never been refused access.
