Yes, I was "one of those people" who couldn't wait for the nail salons to re-open, so I waited to review until I had visited Lavender at least twice before reviewing so I could give y'all an update on how COVID has affected their business. Y'all ready? To get the most of your experience, it'd be easier and quicker to book an appointment. Limited staff means limited techs, so call and make sure a pedicure and nail tech will be available. They're really awesome about same day or even next day appointments! Walk-ins are still an option, but your wait is going to be obviously longer -- even before COVID that was the case. The staff wears masks and gloves, liners in the pedicure spas, partitions between customers in the nail area, and tools they were normally loose are now in individual packages, temperature checks when you walk in, and each chair is sanitized between customers. I LOVE how they're on point with this! Lastly, they're still busy, but not as busy as pre-Covid, so keep that in mind when paying and tipping your techs. My go- to salon for a quick manicure and pedicure. Lavender Nail Salon has been in the community a long time and service is pretty consistent. The staff is friendly and will do same day appointments. I do recommend you call ahead vs walk in. The salon was updated but nothing gimmicky about the space. They do offer complimentary beverages. The nail techs are friendly and skilled. They offer most of the nail services including gel, dip, chrome, nail acrylic, tips, designs, etc. Prices vary depending on the level of service. You can choose basic, spa, etc. They keep an assortment of polishes so most likely they have your color choice. The salon is very sanitary and they clean and disinfect all the instruments in between uses. No kids under 10 allowed in store. If you are looking for a kiddy manicure, you may want to go elsewhere. They do offer eyebrow shaping and other services. read more

August 7, 2023, I was excited to visit a familiar establishment I've frequented over the years. When I got there I discover that Bao, the skilled professional who had consistently provided exceptional experiences for me, was no longer working there. I still decided to get my nails done. I was promptly taken which was different since they were usually always busy. A pleasant woman did my nails but I found myself repeatedly requesting her to meticulously cleanse the residual polish from beneath my nails and skin even though she said she did it already. She has done it once but there was still a lot more under my Barrios and around my cuticles. She also commented on why I got the color white because it gets dirty fast. When she finished I examined my nails and noticed streaks and inconsistencies in the paint application, contributing to an overall subpar aesthetic. (Pictures of the white nails show her work.) While not the worst experience I've had at a nail salon, it certainly fell short of the standards that I had come to associate with this place. spent almost 3 hours in this place for my nails to still come out not like the picture. i kept expressing my concern on how they looked the entire time but she kept trying to ensure me they would look better at the end. 4.0. I love this place. It's always super busy but they do good work. I usually see Jersey or Thu. Although I don't question their hygiene practices, I just wish they used liners which would calm my anxiety about cleanliness! I only get regular pedicures no gel polish, just regular (I usually bring my own polish so if I have to do a touch up, I can). If my feet could speak after my service they would say "they are so happy." My skin is super soft for weeks and my polish lasts so long. Walked in with my daughter on my off day today. I usually go here when I have time to get my nails done when I am without her. Today, I was asked what I needed. Told them I needed a fresh set, pedicure all gel and gel mani/pedi for my daughter. I promised her a spa day. After telling the woman this, she said "Aw how old is she?" I have been so happy with every set I have received from lavender nails! I started coming here after I had a terrible experience at another salon and they took me in no problem. My go to is ombré Pink and White set on medium-long coffin or almond shape. I have received dip, acrylic, acrylic with gel on top, no matter the set it has always been amazing. I always get compliments on my sets even with them being grown out. I can make them last 3-4 weeks. I get so excited every time and after each service I swear nobody can tell me nothing! I'll also add I'm a hairstylist and he makes sure to use a top coat that doesn't stain while I shampoo color out of my guest hair. It's been a game changer! I'm also super disappointed to see some reviews about the techs having attitude or having to wait sometimes. This place is great, they all have fun a joke with each other and have great conversations with their own guest during services. They are very busy but will do what they can to make sure you are pleased and happy! My experience was excellent. My deluxe spa pedicure was done expertly, taking all sanitization precautions. I was seated with a glass of sparkling wine and the ambience was tranquil and relaxing. I liked the ambience of the place. Thuy did a really great job. Was nice and even hooked my phone up to the charger. My mom, on the other hand, did not have a great experience. The nail tech she was given was very heavy handed and did not ease up even after my mom told her three times she was too rough. She halfway did her pedicure and rushed through. When it was time for her gel fill in , the guy scraped her nails and damaged them instead of clipping them. When it was time to pay he overcharged us. So I decided to test out this place because it was close to my house great reviews. when I first arrived I was immediately seated in a pedicure chair and was soak,scrubbed and massage. Then can time for the painting the gentleman who took care of me did 3 these than ran off without saying anything to me. After 15 minutes people walking around basically not telling me where my technician went,he came back. And said sorry then continued to work. After my pedicure and Mani was finish I examine my nails and realize that this technician painted my fingernails horribly. I was too tired from getting off work to complain (which i should have). I've been coming here for almost 4 years now! Most commitment I've had I think! I use to live about 5 minutes away and now about 20-25 minutes. I would still travel this far just to make sure my nails are done correctly. Finding the right nail place can be tough but Lavender nail never lets me down. They listen and give you what you want. Even if you think you like something and change your mind about the color the next day they are there to help you and change it. I don't feel like I get cheated or over charge. They are very clean and gave your best interest. I have been there a few times close to closing time and when they close they still make sure they take their time to make sure your nails look great!! I went out of my way to create a yelp account just to let you know this place is TERRIBLE ... the service was awful.... when I got there they had "forgotten" to write down someone's appointment" and the people hardly engage with clients. The guy assigned to me was so rude and while trying to ask questions about if he could use a different method to take my gel nails off instead of soaking he flat out told me if I don't want to soak I can go because he has other things to do. I literally was only asking because I did not want my nails soaked and had a polite tone with him. He proceeded to roll his eyes at me before ultimately I decided to leave. It's Sunday- they open at noon- I walked in right at noon and the place is packed ( how can this be) I asked for a fill -2 hours later I asked why the long wait and how much longer it would be. I was told another 2 hours because they are short staffed. So what I surmised is this- pedicures are taken right away regardless of who has been waiting and got there first. Someone walked in an hour after I had been waiting and asked how long she had to wait to have her polish changed- she was given a seat at the table right away. I had been going here for a long time before moving out of state but the person I went to is no longer there but I remembered Amber so I went to her. She's great at designs and despite her attitude I kept going to her. First incident she yelled out finally when finishing my nails. After 3/4 fillins I switch sets. She complained about my getting a new set. Then I tried dip powder didn't know I couldn't change the color so I said next time I want a new set so I can go back to gel. She said no you don't need a new set, we can paint over powder with darker color. I'm like um no. So next time I got a new set. This last time my appt was at 2:30pm she didn't start on me til 3:30! Normally they do my pedicure first, so I'm asking why I'm sitting there and amber says they take too long to do your pedicure, so she changed my pedicure to after my nails! Wtf does that?! I was livid! My time is just as valuable as hers! Mind you I spend 130-150 dollars with a 20 dollar tip EVERY VISIT despite her attitude! A lot of black entrepreneurs can do my nails but they don't do feet so I'd endured Ambers attitude to avoid that. She didn't even remember my name! And I had scheduled my pedicure with Boa at 2:30! I came and received service today. I was using a MasterCard gift card and paying the remainder with my visa. My gift card was swiped twice, thus declining it. So I had to use my visa for the full amount. I checked my new gift card balance online and it stated that the Lavender Nails payment was successful. I was repeatedly told that the gift card was declined. I called MasterCard and both the automatic system and operator told me that Lavender received the payment. The employees refused to believe that the payment was received after showing them online. I did not receive my money, the gift card authorization wasn't reversed and no one suggested giving a Lavender gift card for the amount owed. I was told to come back the next day to resolve the issue but that's an unnecessary trip to make considering I received all the services today. I wanted a design to try something new, I was assured that the design could be done but it looked horrible. The acrylic is thick and uneven on some nails and the design is not clean at all.
