I went yesterday to get a regular manicure. The staff in general at this place are really great, and they newly renovated the place, which is all very nice... until I got this lady who exasperated me to say the least. I had GEL manicure that grew out and this lady kept insisting I had acrylic. We went back and forth several times and it's quite frustrating when a stranger poses to know more than what I did TO MY OWN NAILS. She trimmed it and even inspected my nails. Guess what, NO ACRYLIC IN SIGHT! So I asked if she's going to apply acetone to remove the gel base coz I wanted clean nails, give my beds some rest, and once again, she said it's acrylic! I will go back but if I get the same person I'll definitely request someone else. My nails have no room for OPINIONS. read more

Let me start by saying I consistently go to Mimi's and have loved every service received. They usually do an awesome job and listen to your requests! Pricing is affordable too. However, I did want to share my most recent experience just to get a refund or some salon credit. I got dip nails and a pedicure done Sunday (14th--and signed in). The pedicure looks great, but I already have had two broken nails on the dip. Pictures attached. I usually get 3 coats of the color dip and then the clear coat on top, but this time it was only 2. This place was amazing. The owner is every nail salon customers dream. From the moment I called to make my appointment I knew I was going to have one of the better experiences here. I called to make my appointment and told the receptionist about a very painful ingrown toenail situation I was having and she immediately knew who I should book my pedicure with. When I called I originally requested Mimi to do my mani/ pedi and was informed that Mimi is no longer taking pedicure appointments with new clients and that she will be able to do my manicure only (makes sense due to the fact that they also offer eyelash extensions, microblading and a few other services that Mimi also does herself). When I arrived they started with my pedicure which was so relaxing in its own secluded part of the salon that Mimi obviously put effort into setting the mood/ ambiance with massage chairs subtle decorations and the best part... it was very clean! The woman who did my nails was so caring and gentle with my ingrown issue I felt comfortable instead of terrified, because I went in expecting to be put through excruciating pain. Turns out it was Mimi's mom that worked on me. [I LOVE FAMILY OWNED BUSINESSES!] I must say over all my experience was fabulous. Mimi was present not only for my manicure, but she walked through often observing the work of the other women in the salon. Her presences was reassuring, you could tell her business and the people working with her really means a lot to her. I would highly recommend going here for anything Mimi offers. Tip: If you aren't use to spending money on quality this isn't the place for you. The prices were a little steeper than I'm use to, but worth every penny for the peace of mind of a job done right! Been going here since it's been bought out by the new owners. There's no consistency and more training is needed. I went the beginning of April and got a dip manicure and the next day one of my nails were chipped. I had to go somewhere over the weekend so I went back on a Monday, by that time 2 were chipped and a few more were cracked. They did fix the problem and were nice about it. I said I was going to give them another try. So I went today and got dip on my nails and a gel pedicure. I just got out the shower and the gel is already coming off both of my big toes. More training is really needed and who wants to spend $105 just to go back the next day and get it fixed. It's such an inconvenience. I will be returning in the morning to get it fixed because I paid too much money. But I will not be returning afterwards. ***edit post: I took away a star. It's been 3-4 days since I made this post and 3 of my nails are cracked. I don't do anything strenuous with my hands. I'm very disappointed cause that's $105 down the drain. read more

My sister and I have been here 3 times and we love it! They really give the time/attention to do your nails here. The workers are also very kind and always smiling! He seems like a huge racist, and my girlfriend has had two bad experiences. She is now convinced she is treated this way because of her ethnicity. I went to Mimi's several years ago because I had an issue with the male nail tech. Myself, along with 3 other women, had problems with our nails. He kept arguing with us and refused to fix the issues. My sister and I gave them another chance during the pandemic. I was constantly told to stop talking. I put up with that and until 2 months ago. My sister's nails did not turn out to be as expected. After @ 30 minutes, Tam Lee's husband did redo her nails. I have been to numerous nail spas since moving here, but think I've found my spot! First, and most importantly, Mimi's is by appointment only. To me, this is important as I don't like sharing my technician as I'm usually getting my nails done during a lunch hour. They offer a wide range of manicures and pedicures, including gel and dip options. Great massaging pedicure chairs in the back of their shop, which gives you a bit of privacy. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that you have one technician for both your manicure and pedicure. It would be nice if you could have two technicians helping you as currently it takes almost 2 hours to get my mani/dip and pedicure. BUT the results are worth the time as they are perfectionists and you leave with beautiful results :-). read more

Solid nail salon --- my nail shape is beautiful and Tammy was meticulous and paid attention to my requests, showing and verifying no her skill work along the way. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go back to gel polish or try the powered dipping that I'd heard about, so I asked when I got there. She (Mimi) was super knowledgeable about all of her products and was able to answer all my questions. I went with powder and Mimi explained the process as she went. She was warm and friendly. I was so excited to find this place, I had a bad experience at other salons and there were so many good reviews. I was told I couldn't get one of the pictures on the salons website since it was a dip set, and I was alright with that. The woman who was doing my nails (acrylic fill) didn't seem to know what she was doing. When one of my nails needed a new tip, instead of gluing it onto my nail, she put the tip on my nail and then put glue on top of it. There was no real adhesive and I feel like it's going to come off. When she was filing down my nails, she nicked my cuticules so badly to the point they started bleeding. Then, when she applied a primer my nails started BURNING. I was almost in tears. I started pulling my hand back in pain and she just kept telling me to "just relax." Someone else started working on my nails, I'm not sure if he is the manager or not, but he tried to tell me that it was burning because of the primer and started acting like I had just never gotten a proper set of acrylics before. This hasn't been my first time getting acrylics, I've had them done multiple times before and yes, the primer burns, but as I'm writing this and have been home for 20 minutes they're still in pain. Never coming back, and I can't stress how much I do not recommend this place. read more

I need to start off by saying as someone who works in customer service, when someone is dissatisfied I would do anything in my power to make sure that customer leaves happy. I spent 2.5 hours here and left with bare nails. As soon as my tech started filing and shaping my nails I told her I wanted tips to add length. She said once she puts the color on they will look longer?? Then I told her that the almond shape doesn't look like what I've always gotten. I asked for the owner Tammy who usually does my nails. My tech told me she's going to get Tammy at the end to fix what I didn't like. She kept saying let me finish and see if you like it. After she shaped my nails and added the SNS powder I requested I saw the color was nothing close to what I asked for. I noticed they were super bulky short and not at all what I wanted. I asked her to get the owner Tammy. After I asked her about 3-4 times she finally got Tammy and I was on the verge of tears. Tammy did not hear me out about the problems with the length or shape. She blamed me about the color. I have attached a picture of the color I asked for and what I got. She agreed to just take them off. I was extremely upset that she wouldn't fix them herself or grab someone more experienced to fix them. I asked her to Atleast put a gloss coat on my bare nails so they don't look bad at work. She refused. I will never be coming to this place again nor will I be returning. I am extremely upset and disappointed in their customer service. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

They are open to give you recommendations, also do what you have in mind without trying to make you change your mind. I got my nails did with unicorn gel white base. I LOVE them!! I also got a pedicure, best experience ever, Kim gave me the best massage ever, and cleaned my nails pretty good, she even fix an acrylic nail that I had done at another place. I came around 6 pm on a Wednesday but they asked if I could come back the next day because there would be a long wait as there were 2 people ahead of me. I was surprised considering it was the middle of the week. The man was very nice about it and apologized so I decided to come back the next day.
