I have been getting gel polish, acrylic fill ins, & pedicures there forever and only had a nail break once or twice (my own fault) Not to mention, their pricing is soo affordable compared to other places in Staten Island- for great quality work. Came here for a pedicure and left disappointed. The woman did a good job with trimming my nails and cleaning up my cuticles but the paint job was horrible! I asked for a layer of white and then a layer of some sort of shimmer/glitter but you can tell she skimped out on the corners and didn't paint the whole nail. The paint job was also uneven and came out looking textured. I will not be returning. read more

Under new management. Will not be back. Got a powder gel it came out bumpy and no shine. When I told tech she said she would fix it. She buffed it and applied a coat of gel polish over it. Lasted less than a week it's chipped and peeling. Won't be back! read more

Have been going for one year to get powder mani and reg pedi. Used different techs and was usually happy. Lately when I went the place is full with loud costumers. People with kids, talking to them over the entire place or a costumer in the phone doing Facetime and speaking loudly. None of the staff Try to let them know that there are others who are here to relax, that is very disappointing. Last visit I also had my daughters with me. The technician was rude to the point that she grabbed my headphone out of my ear because she assumed that I did not hear her when she told me about the polish being clear. Appalling, rude and noone apologized. Not going back! You lost a few costumers. read more

This is a brand NEW salon. I went in today and got a gel pedi. Let me tell you- this place is pristine. In the midst of covid, they take great care in hygiene and cleanliness protocols. Plenty of space to be separate from others. It's very beautiful and inviting. I feel so relaxed. I feel very secure and safe going here. I got a perfect gel pedicure. I am very happy with it. Very beautiful and updated place on the inside. However, I got a regular manicure that was very rushed and chipped easily. Also, the pedicures I have gotten there either have bubbles, are messy around the skin, and/or chip easily. I noticed this when I got a pedicure two different times with two different nail techs. Upon first glance, this place seems very nice, but they don't do as nice of a job as they would appear to. read more

I haven't went to a nail salon regularly in years. I have been looking for a place that didn't seem to exist.. comfortable, clean, friendly staff, reasonably priced and GOOD SERVICES. Lava has met all of those expectations for me. I also really like that they have a TON of colors to choose from as well. i have to say I would never ever go back to this place ever again. ofc they don't wear name tags there so I can't even say the lady who did my nails but the whole thing just threw me off I thought placelook pretty good and I saw good reviews so I figured I'd try it out. to start off the lady cut me while filing my nails. The shape is not good at all. It's slanted. it's bubbly, some side stick out. The nail colour itself looks like a child has painted it on and I know the lady saw that I was upset with Nails didn't even try to fix it or anything and I was gonna brush it off get my toes done and leave us that but the toes was $40 and the Nails itself was 70 I would pay the money if it was done right and had a good end result, but it did not and as I was complaining, they did not want to help or try for making it better nothing they want to read they ask if I want to redo it, but I would be charged. I'm upset about this whole outcome what was supposed to be my birthday nails turned into a disaster I hope they learn how to do them correctly and do better for the next customer. read more
