Loved it! First time here today. We got a pedicure ($26 for pedicure). Very clean salon, excellent work, and fast. The massage during the pedicure was just enough. Some salons really over do it with the massage. We got there around 3:00 and finished in about 45 minutes. The salon owner is very friendly, honest, and accommodating! Absolutely loved the colors of the decor (pink, white, gold, & gray) Its well ventilated, has a nice big window for natural light to come in, and they play good music. They also have halal nail polish as well! It's next door to sushi and Ralph's Ices so....i meaaannn...it's a win win LOL Overall, had a great experience and would like to go again! read more

I went in for a Pedi and the tech started ripping and tugging at the sides of toenail with a pointed clipper. When I told her it hurt she said after she started cutting that I had ingrown big toenails and she needed to do that. I wish she mentioned this before the service as I would have just cancelled and went to a podiatrist. I was already in the chair and felt embarrassed so I let her finish the pedi. Another nail tech chimed in and blamed me and said I should have gotten a Russian pedicure if I knew I had ingrown toenails.... I didn't know they were ingrown. They never bothered me in the past. Well now months later because of the way the skin and the sides of the nails were cut, I now have ingrown toenails that I never had before. The place is aesthetically pretty, staff are wonderful. The nail techs are great. The one I had, I dont know her name unfortunately and only been to her a few times but she did amazing work. I only get gel manicures. My issue is, they charge $23 extra for chrome. I have never heard of this, not even anywhere else on the island and chrome isnt even that expensive to purchase. So honestly, that is why I stopped going, I like getting chrome often and to charge additional $23 is absolute robbery in my opinion. I decided to try a pedicure, which I was hesitant about. The chairs seem so unsanitary as they are cloth, and also stained. Basically, when it comes to sanitation idk how thats even allowed. they do not recline so it's not comfortable sitting there and the bowl your feet go into is small and your feet are not submerged or sitting in water like most nail salons. The girl I had did my pedicure completely backwards. She did my nails first with dry feet once she finished painting them (gel pedicure) then put them in the water and massaged and then I left. It was such an odd experience. Although she did a nice job. But maybe thats her style and im just used to the original way that every single nail solan does. She also had to push up my chair herself just to make it easier for her to reach me. That doesnt seem fair to her-- reclining chairs have modes to make the chair closer to the tech. Like its so strange that they dont have this.... I feel like they prioritized the aesthetic over practicality. With all the sweat, friction, and skin contact in that area, the fabric is bound to harbor bacteria. I honestly don't see how it can be properly cleaned and sanitized after every use. read more

I had a really disappointing experience here. My appointment was for 9 AM, but all the workers were late and the salon didn't open until 9:15. If customers get charged for being late, I think it's very unprofessional that they weren't even open on time. My nail tech, Sonia, was rude from the start. She asked when I last came in, and when I said around 3 weeks, she snapped at me insisting it was "over 3 weeks," even though I was originally told Gel-X lasts 3-4 weeks. She kept pushing that I should come every 2 weeks, which felt like a scam. She even stopped doing my nails to look up my last appointment just to "prove" it had been 4 weeks, and kept talking to me in a nasty tone. When I told her I wanted the same almond shape as before, she got rude again, saying she "couldn't tell" because my nails were grown out. I ended up being there for over 2 hours--with no design, just one color--and she still charged me an extra $15 for a repair. This same tech cut me with the electric file last time and I didn't say anything, but after today's attitude and extra charges, I'm really disappointed. I've been coming here for over a year and never had issues with Maggie or Suki--they always said Gel-X lasts 3-4 weeks. This experience with Sonia was unprofessional, rude, and not worth the prices they charge. read more

After the last few years of being loyal to Bubblicious I have moved on to a better place. Reasons are that my gel manicure was not lasting as long as they had in the past, I was treated with suspicion when I came in to get a new topcoat or fix a chipped nail even within the 5 days. I was denied using a discount I had received and booked with via the fresha app bc I changed the service, the discount was for 15% off all services. The gossiping between nail techs was palpable & it was uncomfortable. I pay a little more at my new place but the manicure lasts with no issues & the service & environment is better. Sorry to move on after my loyalty but I don't like the disrespect towards customers especially the discount I was entitled to. read more

You'll probably leave loving your nails but it won't last. Within days of getting a chrome manicure, the chrome started chipping.... I wanted to give them a second chance so I went back and within days, one of my extensions broke off . They keep your credit card on file. You can't make an appointment or confirm an appointment without your credit card on file and the services are quite pricey, after spending so much you would think that your nails would last 3 to 4 weeks at least, but that's not the case with my experience read more

My first visit and I am impressed. Ultra modern, beautifully designed and very clean. I was greeted by the receptionist who then offered hot / cold beverages, and guided to my seat. My technician was Norma. She has a wonderful personality and immediately made me feel comfortable. I had a mani/pedi and waxing. Norma is very thorough and efficient. It pains me to leave this review but I cannot recommend this salon. First things first - the salon is beautiful and the staff is super friendly. The owner is welcoming and you can tell she cares deeply for her staff. It was my initial visit and I got UV gel manicure. Lucy was my nail tech and while she was very nice, the experience felt rushed. She did not soak off the existing SNS powder on my nails, but instead used the drill which damaged my nail beds. It was also a little bit expensive comparatively. My nails chipped within two days of my visit, which does not happen when using other salons. I was hoping to make this my regular nail salon but will not be returning. read more

I'm at the age where I like my nails to be on point. Is that too much to ask ? I was getting a gel manicure and the gal clipped the edge of my fingers deep. I was in so much pain. when she was removing the cuticle. Dame. And I even said ouch mutiple times. Did not stop hurting me. The manicurist was rushing thur my appointment which I wasn't too pleased about as well. The only thing she did right was immediately used an antibacterial through the whole procces due to covid. Before I left the manager asked me how I felt about the finshed result on my gel mancure. I basically told the truth that I was displeased and I will pay anyways. He was nice enough to say if anything we can redo your manicure or another day instead I just didn't wanted to be bothered. I wanted to leave that nail salon as soon as possible and never go back. So he desided to just give me a discount due to the fact I was dissatisfied. Which was surprisingly nice. Sadly with the discount I still won't go back due to the fact that I wasn't really relax the whole time I was at the nail salon. Kinda the worest experience of my life when it comes to a manicure. The pedicure chairs are regular chairs, you have scoot them up to sit comfortably, no automatic regular pedicure chairs. My gel mani is already peeling, and it hasn't been a week. You can tell they take pride in the ambience for their customers. Maple did my nails. I havent gone to the nail salon in over 6 months because of a bad experience somewhere else and everyone at Bubbleicious made sure to make me comfortable and give me a painless quality nail service! I came here with my girlfriend for two classic mani pedis just for maintenance purposes and while my experience was good my partners however was not . The lady who did her nails rushed through the entire process and barely used any tools plus she was slightly rude making comments on her feet, and then came and approached us aggressively once we complained. We live in the area and have wanted to try this salon for a while. The nails came out nice, they're very pretty. That is really the only good thing that happened here. This is gonna be a long one. We were a walk in appointment, originally my wife and I were both going to get our nails done (It was the first time my wife would be getting her nails done, and from what we saw on Instagram, this place would be a good place. I've been getting my nails done for years, and also do them myself), but I decided not to get mine done to save time, since there was only one free nail tech (the other was giving a pedicure). My wife asked for a black and red ombre on acrylic extensions. We asked for this when we walked in and spoke to the man at the desk, and reiterated it several times. We were told it would be $16 dollars extra, and they only do dip powder acrylic. Fine. She walked out of there with a pink and white ombre, and when we said something about how it wasn't what we asked for when we came in, were told we should have spoken up sooner. No apology, no mention of the owner not telling his tech what was asked for, still paid $58 dollars to walk out of there with something we didn't order. The pedicure tubs were not clean. There were definite signs of general "gank" in them. I didn't even get a pedicure, but could see it from where I sat. There was a woman getting a pedicure when we came in, there was no liner in the pedicure tub. Gross. The tools were not clean. The emery board and buffer were both clearly used and the metal implements they used were not autoclaved or sterilized. Gross, and a HUGE board of health violation. Every single nail tech who has a license knows better. We will not be back and we will be recommending every person we know not go here either. There are literally FIVE nail places within two blocks of this place. We went in around 2:30 and left at nearly 5pm. Really no excuse and a bad experience all around. read more

Recently moved to the area and was looking to get dip powder. While my nails are of course weak, I've been getting them done for a year and never had a problem anywhere else. Two nails broke in two days and when I went back she told me that my nails were weak and wouldn't take the fact that it could be how many coats. I've been going to Bubblicious since they opened a few months ago. The owner is the sweetest, most accommodating, and personable Nail Salon Owner I've ever met. This salon is nothing like any other on Staten Island. They do not operate like your typical conveyer belt salon where the techs rush to get as many clients done as possible. Each time I've had a gel manicure or pedicure, the tech took their time and was extremely thorough. It may take longer than other places, but you are getting your money's worth and paying for QUALITY. Monesa and Sofia are on the same level with nail designs as high quality Japanese owned Nail Ateliers (I know this from personal experience as I used to frequent these places in Manhattan and have had work done by both M & S). Now the bad...I went with my cousin and we both had gel pedicures and I had a gel manicure and she had a gel fill in, along with a gel manicure. We were there for 3 hours!!!!! I wish I could give this place 5 stars! I plan to return, so I'm hoping I can update my review and give 5. I went to Bubblicious last Monday to get a full set of UV Gel extensions. The prices for everything on their menu are normal, except the gel extensions are cheaper than most I've seen in the area which is great. Great atmosphere and attitude. Very welcoming. The owner and technicians are all very friendly and communicative. Offered me a tea, coffee or water while I waited which goes a long way. Maple was my technician and she asked me exactly what I wanted along the way. I'm very picky with my nail shape and she got it perfect! I was supposed to get ombre nails and they weren't exactly the ombre I'd shown in a reference picture from their Instagram, but she added a flair of glitter to dull the line between the white and pink. Not usually my style and I probably wouldn't get again because they're a bit too flashy for me, but beautiful nonetheless! I also will probably not get anything intricate like this again because I ended up sitting in the chair for 2 hours. Not sure if that's a normal amount of time so I can't really give an opinion on if it took longer than it should have. I made an appointment but it was rescheduled for a half hour later, then still had to wait around 30 minutes when there--that's the only reason I'm giving 4 and not 5 stars. After a conversation with the owner I found out they are very picky with the technicians they bring in which is great, but they definitely need more technicians at this place soon because there were only 2 in at the time. I've been going to a place on Amboy Road, but they did me dirty, so it was time for a change. I've wanted to try Bubblicious for a while, so I figured I'd give them a try. I was able to get an appointment for the next day and was able to book online, which I love! My appointment was confirmed right away. Right from the beginning, the experience was much different than any other salon I've been to. The owner was behind the counter, warmly greeted me, and asked if I wanted something to drink. The salon is bright, clean, and comfortable. I asked her questions about the service I booked, and she convinced me to do something better without being pushy. Lucy did my nails, and they look fantastic. It was the first time I tried uv gel tips instead of acrylic, and I'm glad I did. The process was painless despite my nails being a mess. I came in and believed that I will leave with beautiful nails, especially after hearing the price for powder gel tips. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I'm not too sure if the lady working on my nails was in a rush, or was very tired from working so hard ... even though there were only two people at the salon... but she messed up one of my nails and tried to cover it up by using more powder. So there is a smudged hole like dent on my nail. I didn't want to say anything, I should have... the nails are also very uneven. There are uneven bumps and just looks ridiculous. But today was my last straw. I was taking off a tag off a shirt and one of my tips broke in the half ! I didn't even apply extreme pressure and it broke... I'm very upset. Paid so much for what ? The workers are really nice, but the salon is greedy and charged unfairly for things. For example, a gel pedi is 42$. I got a pedicure with no polish because I wanted to let my toenails breathe, but they still charged me for a gel pedicure because they took gel off my toes. Mind you, this was after I waited almost 40 min for my appointment. You would think they would have the customer service to just charge for a regular pedi, but nope. They charged me 40$. When I asked how it's possible a gel pedicure is only 2$ more they didn't have an answer. I didn't wanna argue, but this isn't the first time they pulled something like this. I booked an appt with me best friend and we both did pedicures. The environment, the energy and all the employees are so warm and welcome. When you're there you can help but laugh and enjoy the fun vibe the place has. I had Gigi who gave me the pedicure of a lifetime. Her hands are magical and you feel that she genuinely cares for offering Ana amazing service. It's like hanging out with your best friends. So glad I found this place. It's clean, well decorated and the service is amazing. Ryan has done my nails twice now and it's been an amazing job each time. The owners/managers are super accommodating - I have had to cancel/reschedule due to traffic coming from work and it's always been a pleasure dealing with them.
