When I first found them I thought it would be my forever place. It is modern, they offer drinks and snacks, management is very nice and organized. Slowly, the same issue as most other places, staff speaks a different language in your face ( I speak a few and it is possible not to if the costumer does not speak it). The workers are hit or miss. Last person who did my hard gel was awful, rude and when I pointed out the nail clipper was not in plastic she started speaking in her language and spraying me with alcohol practically into my face. The owner (manager) wanted to calm things down and I also did not want to make a bigger deal. Two weeks later I have a green nail, I am 48 and have been getting acrylic, powder, gels etc etc for over 30 years and this has never happened. Yes, the salon says it lifted and moisture went in. My fault? I have my doubts. The last tech looked like she hates her job. On top of it when I was there to remove the gel that same worker passed by speaking about me to the woman doing nails. Rude in any culture!!!!! Will not be going back. My nails will need to heal, could have been worse so beware!!!! read more

After spending $85 on Gel Tips, three nails chipped first week. I became ill and couldn't go back. I went back the following week and a different woman was at the register. She was difficult to say the least. Now she wants me to pay $60 to fix the mess they created. Oh wait, she wanted to give me a 10percent discount!!!! Seriously! Then she asks we what was the number of the color they used. Huh? How the hell am I supposed to know. After wasting 15 minutes they realize they can't identify the color, therefore they had no choice but to color all nails. The person at the desk should never work with the shopping public. We used to be in love with this place. They would create insane works of art on my daughter's nails. We moved a few months ago and haven't been able to return. Today, we came in as my daughter is about to celebrate her 16th birthday. Her first choice of design was too difficult for the salon do to so we sat down and looked for other options. We showed them 4 more options, all different difficulty levels, and they refused. At that point it was clear they just didn't want to do her nails. Not even offering us to sit for our pedicure appointment at the very least..... Beware of earlier Instagram photos as they won't be able to accommodate the same designs they used to be able to do! I've always loved coming to this nail salon--friendly staff, clean space, and usually great quality work. I came in last Friday to try Gel X for the first time, and while the service was great as usual, I have to say this time it was a miss. It's only been 5 days and one of my nails already fell off, which is super disappointing considering how long Gel X is supposed to last. I got Gel-X nails by Sandy and was initially very happy, but within a week, one nail popped off, then another a few days later. I had to glue them back on myself, which was disappointing. For my pedicure, I chose the Lavender Spa Pedicure with Linda. While trimming, she accidentally cut me--which I understand happens--but then she loudly pointed out a chipped toenail while doing my French polish, making the whole experience awkward and embarrassing in front of others. The owner informed me that Susan is busy and offered me to another tech. I refused to go. I booked my appointment two weeks ago and was expected service from my tech. Decided to try Green Hill Nails Hylan Blvd, Staten Island Had a Basic Pedicure $27 , NO MASSAGE included , 20 second exfoliation. Yup that's it 20 sec.. worse pedicure ever received . Don't go for the basic, waste of money . Sad to say I am disappointed. The Pedicure was finished before my chair massage ended. Prices are a bit steep for a custom pedi ranging from $45 to $95 . When they first opened, they had better customer service. Lately, you make an appt and are still left waiting for over 30min. When you ask about how much longer, you're answered with a snobby "when a chair opens". Today as I was about to leave, they finally sat me down after waiting so long and wrapped my nails with the acetone and gloves, only to have me wait ONE HOUR with this on my hands, before finally doing my nails. I spent over 2.5hrs on just a gel pedi and SNS dip. Never again. This has happened to me 2x's too many with them. Stop overbooking! read more

So happy this place opened! It's the best! Super relaxing. You're offered a beverage upon arrival. The pedicure seats are so comfortable. Everything is clean and their service is impeccable and consistent. I waited until my 4th visit to review. I came here with both my daughters and my 7 year old did a mani pedi.
