My finger nails were VERY SORE when I left the shop. As the days went on they continued to feel very sore and sensitive. When the nails finally came off...because I wasn't going back to have them done again.. My nail beds were severely bruised and blood blisters were under my skin were these nails were. This was at least two weeks later. I didn't pull the nails off so it wasn't bruising from that. I have been getting my nails done for YEARS and that never happened to me before visiting this nail spa. I wouldn't recommend going there...which makes me very sad because I live within walking distance to this place.

It was only after encouraging her to try a file (since she didn't have a pumice stone) did she try to get rid of the jagged edges. The painting was also poorly done, I could tell she was trying but she has a bit of a tremor and got it isn't the cuticle creases. Also with the cuticles... Barely took any off-- (probably because didn't let the feet soak (at all really)- my pinky toe easily over grows with cuticle and it looks like she just painted over the cuticle debris. Yes I'm probably picky given that I live in southern California where they scrub and polish your feet till they shine (for only $18!) but it's really not much more device than if you were to do it at home. I can see why the Google review said she was rude as I didn't like here abrasive approach but I think overall she was kind. She also took time to do the foot massage and although I was annoyed by the male trying to convince me I didn't know what I was talking about by saying I don't like gel, I think he was really trying to be helpful. If you're not picky I'm sure it's fine but I'm currently tempted to go get them redone elsewhere...

She scheduled me an appointment and when I arrived, I was seen promptly. Every single one of the employees are nice and professional. Even with this snafu, I would come back. Mainly because of how professional they handled the situation. Let me start by saying, the facility was very clean. All of the staff was very friendly and the lead technician communicated very effectively. The problem was the final result of my nails. I got the dip powder. It took two hours to get my nails done and they weren't rushed; there were two other clients besides myself. She didn't know the steps properly. The lead tech had to tell her. I'm all for people learning their trade; at the same time, I feel you should be competent and confident in the process to do a decent job. She left dried powder under my nails, even though I asked her to clear it. There are dips in a few of my nails from uneven grinding/sanding/filing. And one nail, she touched to see if it was dry, and it left a mark. When she was doing the coats, she wasn't even putting on a full coat of the gel. I'm not satisfied at all. I tried to be polite and ask her when she was doing it to fix it. I was trying to be patient, and kept thinking maybe tshe would fix it and it would look alright. However, I feel like she didn't know what she was doing and the end result is very shoddy work. I'm kind of upset because getting my nails done is a treat for me. And I feel like I just wasted $35.

I only came in because I was looking for something quick. For starters, there were several times during my appointment where a staff member(s) would either 1) stand by the person doing my nails and talk to them specifically without acknowledging my presence and/or 2) stare at me from a distance with other staff members. Additionally, I noticed other customers staring at me as well. Nothing wrong with the stares perhaps; at the same time, there is a difference between looking at someone briefly and staring someone down. Again, I received "stares." All in all, I would say the "vibe" from a third person perspective (specifically, my perspective) was othering. The only reason I left a one star review is because the person who did my nails was excellent at doing their job. As someone who enjoys getting their nails done, I am very well versed in acrylic nails and what I like in them. So the person (Noah) was meticulous and patient. I enjoyed that. Additionally, I really love the finished product - I did not provide a picture because I want to make sure my words are acknowledged first and foremost. Suggestion (if you feel disappointed by this review and you're looking for someone to do your nails): invest in independent nail technicians! After this experience, I have realized that as an intentional kind of person, an independent nail technician may be the best way to go. I enjoy having conversation, and I believe independent nail technician's (depending on who you go to) may be able to provide that intentionality I am looking for.

My 93 year old mo had a pedicure. $35 Kim went out of her way to be gentle and kind. It was so lovely to find someone who could communicate with mom and she enjoyed her service immensely. She also worked well on an ingrown toenail and did a better job than the podiatrist did. They used clean instruments and the salon was clean. I had a toenail and cut from a lady whose name I forgot but she was equally kind, did a great job and was very professional. $15.
