Finally got to try this laundromat it has its pros and cons (Customer Service) = horrible! the lady made me feel uncomfortable, when I was loading up washers and going back to my car to get soap I caught her looking in the washing machine at my clothes ( while the door was still open ) I even asked her what is she doing she looked at me like ( oopps just got caught and walked off fast ) #weird The biggest washing machine costed $7.00 ( and the inside of it smelled like mold ) the machine was very very old which I found pretty odd as they have new washing machines in different sizes so I don't know why they didn't upgrade everything. The next size down was $6.50 it was a newer machine.. So washing was on the cheaper side. The older machine definitely doesn't wash good. The dryers is what they get you on. I had one on the hot setting and it didn't get hot. 1 quarter get you three minutes 2 quarters gets you 5 min ( makes no sense it should be 6 min ) normally I would only spend $1.50 max drying but here I had to spend around $3.00 I hope this place fixes things because it's real convenient as I live nearby read more

I usually come during the day, super friendly customer service, the machines are a little old but they do the job, they still used coins thank god cause I save up quarters for this occasion and it bums me out that all the other spots changed to card. The value is great! Love coming here ! read more

Second time here. Found this place bc of Yelp. There's a parking lot which I like and a security guard. Wash: 30 pound 3.75 50 pound 5.75 The washers are supposed to cut your dry time to half. It's .25 to dry for 4 minutes 50 lb. 6 minutes on the 30lb .25. read more

Brought mattress pad and queen size comforter here. Change machines are outdated as are the washers and dryers. Value is not there because this is a small laundromat. It is cramped and the customers are rude. read more

If anybody would have seen the laundromat here before Laundry Time opened, you would have seen a laundromat that needed some big time improvement as far as cleanliness was concerned and there were washing machines that weren't serviced (out of order). I hated doing my laundry when it was crowded, the floors weren't clean, there weren't enough washers and dryers available and then some of the washers were sooo dirty that when you washed your clothes, the dirt ended up on your washed clothes...WTF. You had to wash your clothes again. That resulted in my going to Rag's across the street. The only things left from the old laundromat are the vending machines (drinks/snacks) and the dispensers of little boxes of detergent, fabric softeners, etc. Laundry Time opened about three years ago and offered free drying at that time as a perk/promotion for people to use the facility. They replaced all those old washing machines and dryers. I was happy they made the improvements. Today I had a day off and being on a Monday it was good day to do the laundry. People are at work and/or school; and it's less crowded...just the way I like it. I wasn't done with my laundry until almost 4:00 PM (a 2 hour chore), but that's fine with me. More people were coming in as I was leaving. Whew! Perfect timing that I was done before the mob started coming in with their "dirty" laundry. Laundry Time is clean. The majority of the machines are in working order. I only saw one washing machine out of order. I like using the express washing machine, front door loading and soap dispenser at the top. It's $3.50 to use the washer, but they do have two big ones ($5.75). The dryers also serve their purpose. It's 25 cents for 6 minutes of drying of clothes. What I don't like about doing the laundry...folding clothes and socks - I've done enough of that when my parents had a Chinese laundry business about 50+ years ago. read more

I've been to this laundry mat twice now and probably a few more times in the future until we can shop for a washer. Our washer gave out during SIP so I've been washing here every Friday. I'm a morning person, so I don't see any of the inappropriate activities that one yelper wrote. Most thugs don't do mornings. Anyhow, there is an attendant cleaning each week mornings when I'm there. The facilities pretty clean and ample parking. I will say, I don't know what the place looks like in the afternoon or evenings but mornings, you feel pretty safe and the place is super clean. Laundry prices has sure gone up since I was a child. I don't know what the local competitors charge but I'm happy as it has a parking lot, so I'm really paying for convenience. Prices range from $3.75-$6. Anyhow, I will be here on a weekly basis until we purchase a washer. That won't happen until SIP is over. read more

The wash dry fold has odd hours but it worked out great. I was going on vacation and didn't have time to do my own laundry. 2 day turn around. Clothes were clean, no lost items, folded perfectly. Pricing at $1.50/lb Is not bad at all. Would go back. read more

Laundry Time - Wash dry fold hours - Laundry Services Near Me - Alameda, California

The Attendant is always so nice. If you forget anything they have a little store inside. Always very very clean!!

Last night as I was doing my laundry peacefully like always at the laundromat! We do have a laundry facility at our apartment complex but the washers and dryers don't clean the clothes that well. Here, the washers and dryers are new and heavy duty. As I was folding our clothes quietly at the corner table, I heard a lady complaining to the staff that this guy shown in picture below yelled at her and told her to remove her shit ( meaning her clothes ) The lady apparently got scared and hurried up to remove her clothes from the washer. Mind you, there were a lot of empty washers and I don't understand why he had to use one that the lady was using. This lady had a cane and limping. This man put all his clothes in and started to wash. The lady then approached him nicely to say that one of her gloves is missing and that she could have left it inside the washer while she was hurrying up to get all her clothes out. The man yelled at her. Called her a bitch. Said that she doesn't pay his bills and his house so she better shut the fuck up ( exact words ) He went to me and said I have a blanket that really big and I need you to move. I said I'm not going to move, use the other empty tables. Then he pushed my clothes aside and so I confronted him and said " did you just move my bag with clothes?" He denies it but obviously he did. I said " You know mister, you need to act accordingly. I was first in this spot and I've been here folding my clothes and you come over wanting everyone to accommodate you?" I added " I am just being quiet here minding my own business and after fighting with that lady you go to me?" He said " you shut up bitch! You continue to mind your own business! You don't pay my bills blah blah!" The staff saw both incidences , he didn't do anything! I know he don't speak English but he heard the man yelling and he didn't budge! The man called someone and said to the person on the other line " what are you doing? Why don't you come over at the laundromat where I go and give these bitches a hard time! It's free! I know you like to fuck people up! Come over!" At that point I called my wife and she said to call the cops. There were a lot of people there, if it was just me and the staff with that man? I will call the cops. I have a lot of witnesses just in case he doesn't stop. I continued folding and minded my own business as he yells at the staff because the bathroom was locked. He left after that. This man feels like his shit doesn't stink and that he is all that! Look at what he looks like! He feels he is entitled! I don't like to post pictures on here of people to shame them but this one is off the charts! He is the second most rude person I've ever encountered in my whole life! I may not have called the cops on you but for sure you will be popular in a bad manner for this post will go viral! You are racist! You don't respect women and you act like you own America! I called the owner of the laundromat because I wanted to let him know that in situations like this one, his staff should know what to do. He must be authoritative and would address the issue. We go there regularly and we pay good money doing laundry! We have the right to demand safety! To my dismay the owner named Daniel, never returned my calls. I have been calling him relentlessly for 3 days now. It seems like all he cares about is the profit that he makes. I will stop going to this place and will definitely tell my friends to stop going there too just because the owner doesn't really care! read more

Laundry Time - This is the photo of the guy that harassed the women and the staff at the laundromat! He was rude and even threatened us! - Laundry Services Near Me - Alameda, California

Egggad, I hate doing laundry!!! I DESPISE doing laundry even more so out in public. I am not used to the idea of swirling around my unmentionables in front of the general population. Welllll....maybe many, many years ago when I was just a young naive teen, but hey I am a grown haggly woman now who just can't hassle with that shiz anymore. Laundry Time does its best to help its patrons like me to get in and get out FAST! They have plenty of atrocious washers and even more magnificent dryers. I came in with three huge bags of laundry and was able to leave in under an hour! Now, that's record speed! I believe it was $3.50 for the huge washers and the dryer prices obviously vary depending on how much you throw in. If I remember right, it was 25 cents for about 5 minutes on high. It was very clean with little flat screen TVs and FREE WiFi. Definitely helpful in distracting me from the fact the whole world is looking at my silky and cotton goods swirl around in a dryer. I hate to sound overly modest, but I AM! Thank you Laundry Time for having a non-ghetto laundromat and making my experience the best it could be! read more

This is one of 2 laundromats near my home, so I come here once or twice a month. It is fine for self wash. Lots of machines of various sizes, from small to gigantic. Dryers work well, lots of change machines, wifi etc. The thing I like about this place better than the place across the street is the vending machines for snacks/drinks. HOWEVER I would NOT use this place for the drop off service, where you drop off laundry for them to clean. While I was there today, I asked to use the bathroom to wash my hands after I put my dirty laundry in the washer. (So they will be clean when I take it out) There was NO soap in the bathroom. So when the employees use the bathroom and go back out to do your laundry, they have not washed their hands. I cannot even get over how gross that is. Then I saw him drop 2 pieces of wet clean clothes on the ground, and pick them up and put them straight in the dryer. I dont think there is a 5 second rule for the nasty floor of a laundromat. I just wouldn't trust them to pay them to do my laundry for me. But to do yourself, the place is fine. read more

I finally created a Yelp account, just to review these guys. I moved to Alameda about six months ago, and found a great little apartment. Downside was, the laundry facilities were sized perfectly for a single family, but there's six apartments here. So, rather than feed those machines all day long, I went hunting around for a laundry facility. Most of the places I looked at were...er..."sketchy". On a good day. In broad daylight. Dirty, packed, and the machines looked like they hadn't been serviced in years. Laundry Time was the first place I found with clean facilities, plenty of parking, and machines that didn't eat my clothes. The folks who work there (I've met both a younger gentleman and an elderly woman) have always been friendly, and the free wi-fi and TVs are a nice touch. Prices are reasonable enough for me. The bigger machines have saved me a ton of time; it's handy being able to do everything in a single load, and it's cheaper than running two or three machines at the same time. And since you'll have half an hour to kill between loads: there's a frozen yogurt place in the same mall a few doors down, a Foster's Freeze next door, and you're a five minute walk from the beach. :) Anyway, these folks have been good to me so far. Thumbs up. read more

* 3.5 stars * ... As far as laundromats go, this is one that I believe most would refer to as "pimp." FLAT SCREEN TVs, Free WiFi, all new machines (they just opened a couple months ago), pretty clean kept... If you like this kind of thing a lot, this is the place to go. They offer a few different kinds of washer/dryer & and I believe are doing a "free dry" special while they're Grand Opening special is still going on. Main 2 criticisms: - Place is a little small square-footage-wise - Even with the free dry I've still seen better prices elsewhere. (Still, I suppose you're paying for the entertainment and nice atmosphere of this modern, mostly clean facility). ... So yeah. I'd use them as a backup place (if I couldn't use my primary temporarily). 3.5 stars sounds about right. read more

You have to ignore the comments on some of the reviews. This place is clean and everything works. Serves it's purpose. The attendants mind their own business which is fine. I prefer it that way. It's a laundry place no one wants to be doing laundry or be around it. There's free wifi, and the password is right next to the attendant. Other than that I get everything in there done fast, prices aren't bad especially when they have super washers and dryers. There's a frozen yogurt place too that you should check out as well. Helps kill the time. read more

Coolest laundromat in Alameda I think. LCD TVs (football is on during the season sat and sun), free wifi, pretty clean, has a bathroom, and always a friendly laundromat attendant (Kevin) available. Only draw back is when people bring their uncontrollable kids; but that's a crap shoot when going to any public laundromat. read more

Positives first: very clean, efficient washers and dryers. The positives stop there. Very small counter for folding clothes. Overall vibe was quite unfriendly. I felt it the moment I walked in the place. Was stared at by the attendant and other patrons in a rather menacing way, each time I crossed the room to retrieve my clothes from the washer and/or dryer. Not sure what that was about, but I was actually relieved when my clothes were done, got the heck outta there, and I won't be back. *I know, I know, it's a laundromat, not exactly a place known for "good vibes," but this place was unusually full of the bad kind. Unfortunately for them, they lost a customer on the first visit. read more

Pros: Clean, newer machines, big TV's that are always playing things that are fun to watch, lots of parking, near Bonfare and T-mix (boba place). Con's: not a lot of folding space, a bit more expensive than surrounding 'mats, still uses quarters, young guy that works there looks/acts like he hates life but most especially hates you. We keep coming back because it's close and theres T-mix next door. I'd like to see the prices come down a bit, and for them to go card system as I hate being a quarter hoarder. Updated vending machines (both laundry and food) would be great. And maybe hire an attendant who smiles at least sometimes. read more

So I have my own washer dryer at home, but when I have big things, comforter, sleeping bags, etc. I got to a laundromat. Was really impressed by this place. First thing I noticed was it was clean. Like McDonald's clean. The floors are clean. No stains. No detergents. No water. Not lint balls or fabric softener sheets on the ground. While I was there they were vacuuming the ceiling vents, cleaning the washer door seals and wiping all the counter. Second thing I noticed was the majority of the washers and dryers were brand new. About 25 cents more than average but really nice. Washer really clean the items and dryer are gas so they are fast. The owner shows pride of ownership throughout. Really impressive place. read more

Laundry Time - Super clean with new machines. - Laundry Services Near Me - Alameda, California

I like this place a lot. - New up to date washer and dryers and a few older models. - Free Wifi - Very Clean - Reusable coin cups at the counter, just make sure you return it - Flat Screen TV - Sink to wash your hands - Drop off service But the main reason why I come here is because I love the free wifi. When doing laundry it takes time... Why waste your data plan else where with no wifi when you can use the free wifi here while doing laundry. read more

This laundry spot is the best in the area that I have found as of yet. It is clean, good equipment, and priced nicely. Additionally there are always staff onsite. They have a drop off service for a cheap $1.25 a pound. It is never to crowded. However, being in a place with a lot of military and wealthy households (Alameda), you will see brown care-takers inside the laundry mat raising wild white/Anglo children and teaching the Anglo kids Tagalog or Spanish. The kids will come up to you if you are brown because they are acculturated into associating brown-ness with care. If you can tolerate this then you can get your laundry done without being exhausted in a clean and convenient facility. read more

Pretty good laundromat. Decent prices, very clean and not usually to busy. They have free wi fi and flat screens.

Haven't even been here yet but i just called to ask a few questions and the lady hung up on me mid-conversation. I'm not sure if it's because her English wasn't very good, but it was still rude for her on a customer service level to just hang up when i was still talking. I had more than one question, and she hung up right after she answered my first question so i wasn't able to ask the other question. read more

I used this place for a while, but it was small and cramped. The parking lot is always busy and I often have to lug my laundry a distance. I switched over the RAGS across the street. I do my laundry here because it's convenient, but it would be great if they cranked up the heat. It is always so cold! I have never had any issues with there being no washers or dryers available, but it would be nice if they had better seating arrangements, and a sink with warm water and soap. Also, the young gentleman with the glasses who sits behind the counter could be a little bit more active by cleaning up the place. I tend to see garbage and debris on the counters and floor every time I do laundry. read more

No longer clean - used to be you seldom saw dryer dust on the tops of machines or litter on the floor. Not the case anymore. Many dryers have places that will snag and catch your clothes.
