This used to be my favorite laundromat, but not anymore. It has many good qualities but I have recently changed the pricing scheme for the dryers to be what I consider practically a scam. It used to be that a quarter would buy you several minutes, but they have changed the dryers to have a $1 minimum charge. What this means is that if your laundry is not quite dry after the first round of drying and you don't get to the dryer before the cycle ends, You are not able to put in a quarter to get a few extra minutes to get it dry. You are stuck with the $1 minimum charge. This is not just extremely annoying, It represents a pettiness on the part of the owner.... that they are trying to get 75 extra cents from a customer who only needs 25 cents more time. So, sadly, after many years of loyalty to this establishment I will be looking for a new laundromat. read more

The Mecca of laundromats! Super clean. Attendant is consistently going around and cleaning. Lot's of machines to fit any need. In addition, they have an app, DexterPay, that makes it so easy to pay, set your settings, and monitor how much time's left. I love this! The parking lot's hit or miss, as far as availability, but there's also street parking. There's a 7-11 next store, which is also convenient. read more

I've been to this laundromat twice so far since moving back to alameda, and I like it! The machines are sooo efficient! 25 mins to wash and only 24 mins to get everything fully dry in the six loader machines - and we had a decent amount of clothes in the machines! All this would take literally hours in the washers/dryer at our apartment building. Pricing is not bad either - for the six loaders, washing is $7 and drying is 4 mins per quarter. The washer prices might sound steep, but I got two weeks' worth of laundry done for $8.50 total. Other pluses - I like that they have an app so we don't need to have coins handy. Just test and make sure the app recognizes the machine number before putting clothes in. I've noticed that sometimes the app doesn't recognize some of the machines even though they're functioning. The place is also pretty clean and the machines look pretty new. Minuses - They share a lot with 7-11 and it can be packed! The first time, I went on MLK day and it was so busy even midday on a Monday! The second time we went on Saturday night right before they closed and it was great! Lots of machines open. I do wish they had more seats and folding stations inside, though not a major issue for us since I like to fold at home anyways. read more

I have been washing here for almost a year, after what happened today I won't be coming back! This laundry is really clean workers maintain it well. Today one of the female worker that worked around 5 was very rude! I suspected she was since the beginning she gives off negative vibes. My mother was getting a cart when she grabbed her hard from the wrist and told her that she couldn't use it. I really like coming here, it's calm, clean, finding parking is not that big of a deal either. I do like that it's coin operated or mobile pay via DexterPay app. The machines and dryers are well kemp. I once had an issue with both the washer and app. It was busy and all of the x4 washers were in use. At first I thought it was the app, it didn't charge me even thought the apple wallet says I've been charged. After a few tries and paid with coins on my third attempt, the machine took all of my coins. I asked one of the ladies to get a refund, the lady just walked away from me. I thought I just wasted $7, after couple minutes of pressing start button it finally worked. Definitely didn't like how that lady just walked off and didn't offer to resolve the issue. I'm just glad the machine finally worked? Every week I come here, one of the shop keeper is always smoking by the entrance door and the cigarette smell linger. Luckily my loads haven't been close enough to catch the smell on them. I just don't like inhaling people's lung smoke. It makes my stomach churn. We live on a boat. While we have laundry on board, after we've had a lot of guests, turning over all of our staterooms' bedding goes much more quickly in industrial machines. Launderland is by far the cleanest, brightest, and most well maintained laundromat we've ever tried. There are so many things about this business that make it stand heads and shoulders above all others. While they're not open 24 hours, their hours are really extensive - 5am to 11pm. Even on Christmas Eve, they were open until 9pm. There are always machines available, and they are continually wiped down and checked by the on site staff. There's good music, great lighting, ample and folding tables, and they use the Dexter payment app which means no need for cash or dirty quarters. It allows for me to step away and run quick errands while monitoring time remaining on each load. The automatic sliding front doors and ample carts make bringing clothes in and out easier than any other laundry. When we find ourselves behind on loads of clothing, it's super convenient and reasonably priced to drop off laundry for wash and fold service. This is from someone who typically finds time in a laundromat akin to days in hell. read more

Everything seemed well kept but beware of people taking your cart. I had one during my wash and when I returned they removed my basket and left it on the floor. It happened again when I found one to empty the wash and put my items in the dryer. They removed my baskets and left it on the floor. They had a lot of available carts not sure why they kept taking mine. Overall great place clean and right next to the police department. read more

If you need a laundromat, you MUST go to Launderland Alameda on Lincoln St. I had the most awesome experience there. I haven't needed a laundromat in a while and I was concerned about all the possible issues a laundromat has. This place was awesome! It was in a busy and safe location. It is large with a wide variety of machines and sizes. The driers are very inexpensive and really get the job done. The place is exceptionally clean thanks to a wonderful attendant named John. John provided the best customer service. He was polite, professional, helpful and responsive. Every machine that was touched, he was wiping and polishing as soon as it was vacated. He kept a watchful eye over every inch of the facility while being unassuming and staying out of the way. I was so impressed and I am not easily impressed. The people who aren't washing clothes that come in doing random stuff like emptying out the contents of the recycling bin and putting it into the dryer or taking clothes out of the dryer and outside that aren't theirs is getting annoying.
