I'm sad to give this 1 star as I have been a loyal customer for a solid 5 years . They have a worker that puts bleach in non white clothes. I went to this place for over 10 years. I've had a few problems here and there and this last weekend I had an incident so infuriating with the owner that I will never be back. His machine was obviously broken, it was flashing an error the whole time my clothes were in the washer and he outright refused to acknowledge there was a problem. He made me wait until the end of the wash cycle and then refused to compensate me for the wash. So, this is the last time I will spend so much as a quarter at this clip joint. This place doesn't accept Apple Pay or credit cards. It's cash only. There aren't any promotional deals, you just come here and wash. You're lucky if you get a bench. But this place is hardly ever full, and even when full, you're still able to wash and dry without having to argue with people over a machine. Small machines are $2.75 to $3.25 depending on temp. Medium machines $3.75 to $4.25. Bigger machines are $6.25 to $7.25. And the largest machines, which are ALWAYS taken are ~$7.75 (not sure of the range for water temp). I came here for the wash and fold service after being recommended by a friend. Once I walked in I was greeted with good vibes and laughs from the owners. I really prefer this wash and fold over the one I normally go to because of how affordable they are. Literally half the price of what I would normally pay and their turn around is super quick, they had my clothes ready by 9 that night and I dropped them off at 11am. I was happy because I normally have to wait the next day. When I received my clothes they helped me put them in my car and my clothes was so fresh and clean, and smelled so bomb! My whites were soooo white, I have this shirt that I never thought would get pure white again and they worked their magic! The staff working was so sweet and kind. I live about 15 minutes away but I have no problem with making this my new laundry mat. I am always in this area :-) read more

Yay for efficient machines! I came on a sunday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy. I was able to get my a washer without waiting. And they have large stainless steel counter tops for you to fold your laundry. But they had so much countertop space... I had just washed some fleece to make a no sew blanket. I just pulled out my scissors and started working on my blanket while waiting for my laundry to dry. I pretty much took up two tables, for that project, and there were still a lot of free tables. There's a little area that you can sit at to wait for your laundry. There's also decent wifi to help you pass the time. One uni-sex bathroom for everyone. Little vending machines for small packages of detergent and dryer sheets. and up front is a lady who does the in house laundry for people, keeps the place clean and sells larger bottles of detergent and stuff. Around the corner is walgreens and a corner store to get other knick knacky things. Parking was pretty easy too. The meters in the lot around the back ar free on sundays. There is permit parking that you can go inside and get the permit in exchange for your license. I do wish they had more dryers. I like using lower dryers because I'm so short. I can barely reach inside the top dryer to grab my stuff. I felt so accomplished after my 2 hours here. So much laundry and other knick knacky things that I had to do. read more

I would give this laundry place a lower score if I could. The Story: I needed to do my laundry and I was broke with 5 dollars left to my name, just enough to have clean clothes on my back. So I went down to Washtime. I proceeded to insert my last 5 dollar bill into the coin machine and, guess what, it took my money without giving me change. No big deal, you say? Just go to the attendant and ask for help? Well, I did that. You know what she did? First she pretended not to speak English and brushed me off. Then I asked again very nicely and sincerely. So she came out of her office with a 5 dollar bill of her own and tried the machine. Alas, it worked that time. So, she went on ignoring me. She could have easily opened the machine and found that there was an extra 5 in there. She didn't. The Effect on me: My last five dollars was stolen. Myself and my son did not have clean clothes. I felt utterly humiliated as though I were some street hustler trying to come up on five dollars. If I were some street hustler, I would have said I stuck a 20 dollar bill in the machine and tried to hustle that out of her. If I were some street hustler I would not have written this review. Basically, if you don't want to be treated this way if this happens to you, which it very well could, spare yourself the humiliation and go somewhere else. read more

We have been doing our laundry there for years now. The ppl working there are always friendly and helpful. We did now the wash and fold service a few times and it is great. Drop off the laundry and pick it up sometimes on the same day but mostly next day, clean and smelling fresh and folded. It saves me so much time! read more

FREE wifi. it's clean free parking; make sure you get a permit/tag, from the lady inside. Give her you license and she'll give you a tag. return the tag get your L's back. Cheap washers and dryers. apparently it can be a little shady, they had some posting about robberies in the neighborhood. But as always one should ALWAYS be aware of his/her surroundings. Free Wi-FI! This place has plenty of washers and dryers and lots of space for folding your clothes. They even have an area with chairs and tables so that you can sit down and eat or do your homework. They also have a flat screen tv on top of the dryers, so you won't have to worry about missing Dancing With the Stars or Monday Night Football. read more

By accident I put some money in the wrong washer, (I do have my blonde moments) The attendant gave us our money back! How great! The place two doors down is quite crowded and busy and this place has more room. The layout is much easier to manover your laundry cart and now we cart our laundry across town to Washtime...well not as often as we should!!!!! Great place. It doesn't have its own dedicated parking lot, but there's a metered lot in the back that's convenient. If your goal is to get your laundry sparkling clean for a reasonable sum, you've come to the right place. Not bad but since they are competing with Woodiest they need to step up their game and keep the bathroom clean and stocked. Best coin-op laundry in Oakland. Machines are brand new and always get my items clean with the first wash. All of the machines accept Apple Pay and CC's in addition to quarters. Buy 10 washes and your 11th is free (it keeps track using your Apple Pay or CC). Free wi-fi. Ran by very friendly father and son, the staff is great too. Great place...always clean and has plenty of equipment...even for your largest loads. However, they're pricey. The cheapest wash for the tiniest load will run $3 (depending water temp)...$.25 per 7mins to dry your clothes (yes the dryers work very well). Largest load in the washer is $8+ (depending on water temp), mid-small loads $4-$6 (depending on water temp)!!! You're paying for convenience, cleanliness, and/or load size (extra large vs extra small). There's metered parking in the front and back, so add that to the tab too. Not too bad I got to wash all three of my comforters for about 5$ which at place I live would end up costing me 4$ per blanket. The lady who I assume either works there or is the owner is intimidating at first but she soon becomes very friendly and shows you which machine is best for your clothes and so on. I'm not sure about the wash and fold services that they have here but I sure would trust her to do my clothes. The place all in all is very organized and clean. The machines don't look all torn up and gross which is a good sign. When I need to wash my large item laundry I will definitely be coming back here again. read more

If you have a large amount of clothes to wash, this is the place to go, not the one up the street. It's is well doesn't have as many machines, but is well designed to wash, dry and fold. The best times to go here are early in the morning or after 8, as it is crowded at other times. read more
