This place is so darling inside, make a reservation because it gets busy! The cocktails were phenomenal I personally loved the aperol sbagliato- better than your standard spritz. Their menu is full of yummy shareable options and some killer sandwiches. I recommend the friend chicken sandwich and the deviled eggs. The burrata was tasty but I thought it was a little overpriced for the portion size. I want to come back to try their brunch! read more

Need reservations and we got them. We got the pastry of the day as there were two and they sounded great so we got them both. Light to start while we wait for food. We got mocktail too with ginger which was a good start. For main we got the eggs sandwich and pork hash. Egg yolk was huge and cooked well. Aioli sauce was perfect taste. Pork hash was plentiful too. I liked that it wasn't basic scrambled eggs menu with waffles. Something different and modern. Parking is limited so be prepared to walk or uber. Modern setting too read more

We tried Launderette for brunch during our trip to Austin. The food was good. The Turkish egg was perfectly seasoned and paired well with the sourdough. The burger was cooked well and had a great sauce. I enjoyed the latkes as a side as well. I loved the pairing with creme fraiche and apple sauce. Unfortunately the restaurant was very busy so we had a long wait that surpassed our reservation time, and it took a while for someone to take our order and finally bring us our food so we were there for a few hours. Cute interior and very bright and airy inside. They're usually busy so I recommend a reservation read more

Such a cute place for brunch and dinner! I had the pleasure of getting dinner with my girl for a celebration. We ordered food in mind that we will be sharing the dishes (love family style!). We asked the waiter for his recommendations and he sold us on everything we ordered and it came out soooo quick and it was sooo tasty! Love the service here. I'm not sure if the dishes rotate but they are really unique dishes. I absolutely love their dessert menu and I would say that was the highlight for me because I have a sweet tooth! read more

This is a must-try brunch spot and I highly recommend enjoying their outdoor patio whilst dining. You're able to make a reservation quite easily with their reservation system, so make sure to make it a point to do so. Parking is quite easy and they have their own parking lot so no need to fret over street parking. Launderette is an award-winning restaurant whose menu is well curated and has just enough options for everyone but not overwhelming for the table. Our server Dani made our experience so enjoyable and fun and their recommendations for their off menu donuts (baked goods) was a win for the table. My personal favorite was the strawberry one although both were just as good. I ordered their espresso martini and it was so smooth, the perfect blend of caffeine with a pick-me-up to get the weekend adventures started. My main dish was their blueberry pancakes under their sweet menu and they were so fluffy! Felt like they were blended with clouds themselves. The table got a kick out of the little kitty syrup holder. As for their sides I have to say that their sausage patties were the best I've ever had. You could tell they make them from scratch and the hint of rosemary with a touch of maple was the right balance. I've already began raving about Launderette and can't wait to go back. read more

During my stay in Austin, I came to Launderette maybe like... 3 times? I got to try a delicious sampling of their sides, like the striped bass crudo, summer burrata, and beets, but what really kept me coming back was the summer peach shaved ice with roasted rice ice cream and peach jam. That was incredibly refreshing and delicious in the 100+ degree heat, and was not too sweet, just the way I like it. Although it's on the pricier side, the ambiance, service, and delicious dishes made with fresh produce made it worth it for me. I hope to come back when I'm in Austin again! read more

This place deserves all the rave. I love how they have the menu split up into sweet a savory! We picked 1 from each section and shared and it was perfect. I was literally in food heaven and the vibes are brunch worthy!! I recommended making a reservation here, since it always so packed you might be waiting a while for a table. They have a parking lot and street parking. We had one for outside and it wasn't too hot! We were seated promptly and the food and drinks came out perfectly. Let's get down to the food... BUTTERMILK PANCAKES | seriously some of the best I've ever had, the compote was flavorful but not overpowering. And the pancakes themselves were so fluffy and tasty! FLORENTINE BENNY | this was surprisingly SO good. every bite just hit the spot. MALFY SPRITZ |I was nervous about this mixture but it was refreshing and flavors I don't normally order!) read more

Came here during happy hour on a Friday and it wasn't too busy overall. I will say that right away, the service was fantastic. From the hostess, to the bartenders, to the servers, everyone was incredibly kind and polite and very service forward. I would come back just because of the service honestly. I had an array of dishes, and the best one overall was definitely the fried shrimp. The breading on the shrimp was fantastic, the sauce that comes with it is to die for. The sauce alone was incredible and I ended up using it for the rest of my food. The burger was good, but nothing to get super excited about. The fries were average, and I was actually a bit disappointed in the sauces with the fries. The aioli didn't have much flavor unfortunately. My drink was absolutely fantastic and paired great with the shrimp actually. Overall, a solid experience. A bit overpriced and makes me only willing to come back during happy hour. read more

I've been hearing about Launderette for a while now and I finally got to try it when some friends came to visit! I highly recommend getting a reservation, we came around 1:30 on a Friday and there were very few open tables. The restaurant itself was bright with a gorgeous patio and a calm, casual atmosphere. Our server was super friendly and patient while we looked over the menu. We ordered the burrata, sticky brussels sprouts, steak sammie, chicken paillard, and pei mussels, and there wasn't a single bad dish. You know the menu is good when every person leaves with a different favorite dish, and that's exactly what happened for us. Overall, everything tasted really fresh and not too heavy. My personal favorite was either the chicken paillard with all the greens on top or the burrata because of the addicting bread it came with. I definitely want to come back for brunch sometime! read more

Came here on a work trip and had a great experience here - feels like you're at a laid-back dinner party. Great drinks and amazing food - the crudo, arancini, lamb sausage pasta, and shawarma cauliflower were awesome. Dessert was a hit as well - we got the manchego/peach flan, birthday cake ice cream sandwiches and the espresso chai mousse (which was my favorite - an insane combo of espresso, chocolate, and citrus). read more

An updated brunch review! It's been awhile since my last review of Launderette. On this visit we ordered the Everything Biscuit sandwich and the Pork Shoulder Hash. I'm very particular about my breakfast sammies and the Everything Biscuit came out aces! I loved the unique biscuit covered in Everything bagel seasoning...genius! The egg was perfectly over medium (how I ordered it) and the bacon was meaty and crispy, and with the other ingredients including tomato, watercress, cheddar and chive aioli, it made for a decadent and delicious breakfast. The pork shoulder hash ingredients blended well together and the dish was hearty and delicious (we boxed up half to take home and it reheated quite well the next day). The "mash" consisted of the pork, potatoes and brussels sprouts. I really liked the bright sunny side up egg, the crispy string onion rings topping and the green verde adding just a touch of heat. My brunch cocktail was the delightful Pom Spritz. Sorta like an aperol spritz but a little more complex, with Cappelletti, pomegranate juice, lemon, cava and a rosemary sprig. I had to look up Cappelletti and the first that comes up in a Google search is a stuffed pasta....not to worry this drink did not come with pasta as adornment, for Cappelletti is also a wine-based aperitif. read more

Great brunch place in Austin, just a little steep in terms of pricing. The parking is very easy with a lot right in front of the restaurant. There is both indoor and outdoor seating! Service is super friendly with attentive staff. I got the pancakes which came with an adorable little syrup pitcher shaped like a cat and my husband got a pork hash. The pancakes were very light and fluffy and so delicious. My husband enjoyed his hash as well. The place is cute with lots of plants and natural light! Portions sizes are a little small. Would definitely come back! read more

Made a resy to sit outside because we planned to bring our pup but she had a long day of travel so we left her at home. Friendly servers. We ordered 4 starters and 3 mocktails. The mocktails had zero taste (they were taken off our bill). Took one sip from each and left it. Rice balls were tasty. Hummus was bland. Fish crudo was spicy (we don't like spicy). Crab toast was bland. The flies were bombing out patio table so we moved inside. They only had the counter available. No prob. Bartender was serving us. Very upbeat, nice gal. We order dinner. The burger (my partner loves burgers, wasn't impressed. I thought it was good at best). Steak was tough and lacked flavor. Beet salad was yummy (I only ate the beets) the lettuce salad was very good & the sweet potato was excellent! read more

Launderette is a restaurant in a converted laundromat. Made a reservation for dinner on the patio and had a great meal! I started with the Beatnik cocktail, which was awesome, then tried: + Beet hummus + Plancha burger + Cavatelli + Potato chips with pimento + Apple streusel tart The highlights were the burger, chips and dessert. Service was excellent. They also have their own parking lot. read more

What a total salt fest. What I remembered from many visits and thousands of dollars to this unique restaurant was completely different. From the hummus to the potato chips & pimento and the Plancha burger were so overly salted in preparation and finish salt that we had to ask for alternates. The waitress kindly explained that the foods like flat iron steak and broccolini are marinated in salt. This was not the case on earlier visits. $350 tab and we left hungry and disappointed with salt swelling. read more

Our waitress was so rude last night. We were a party of 7 celebrating a birthday near the restroom side for context. She had a nasty attitude the whole time for absolutely no reason. She was fall brunette maybe red head and didn't catch her name. Wow!!! Never had a waitress that bad. Unfortunately, I will never go back and I hope others don't. I never write reviews but felt like I had because of the terrible experience. read more

Went to Launderette for brunch and had a nice time. The menu was a little challenging for someone who is vegetarian but I found something that worked (subbed avocado). If you want a romantic place to go or just a place to celebrate a momentous occasion, this is it. The food was unique my favorite cocktail was the Midnight Arrival. The Shrimp was to die for, second only to the Sticky Ribs which were the best. I also want to give a shout out to both Lauren and Katie for making my birthday so special. My MIL, Aunt and SIL visited Launderette recently and had such an enjoyable evening! It didn't hurt that the weather was excellent and we were seated outside to enjoy it and each other's company. The service throughout was good, as were each of the items we tried. I started with a Midnight Arrival cocktail that is gin-based and very light and refreshing! Highly recommend if you want something a bit tart and not too sweet. For apps we got the beef tartare (no picture/video, sorry), nosh nosh (mixture of different Mediterranean eats), and burrata and I'm fairly certain we cleaned each plate. For entrees my Aunt and SIL got the hanger steak, fries, and cauliflower, my MIL got the ribs and I got the charred octopus. I only recently had tried octopus for the first time so this was my second time and it was just as good as the first! For dessert, we got a French style chocolate cake that was dense and creamy in the middle and was served with banana bread ice cream over a mango banana whip. All in all, a nice meal in a cute spot with nice vibes and good service. I would return read more

Yummy. This place is DELICIOUS. Literally everything we ordered was incredible. The Dinner Charred Octopus were so tender and chewy, dipped in that delectable sauce was oh so good. The Sticky Brussel was incredible. One of the best, highly recommend, it will have you singing. The Winter Squash was also amazing. Pairing the coconut cream and the mint with the squash made every bite so satisfying. The cavatelli was so cheesy. The cheese sauce was unlike anything I have every had before, the cheese was so foreign but delicious. Would pass on the pumpkin cake we got for dessert next time. It was kind of dry and not super flavorful. Great service, loved the staff and the vibe. read more

Came with a group of five without reservation, but was able to get seated fairly quickly! The staff was nice, attentive and came to get our drink, water and food order quickly. I had the pork shoulder hash and Kay's coupe. The cocktail was so good!! Very refreshing and a nice substitution for a typical mimosa. The pork shoulder hash was good and had a lot of flavor due to the salsa, but I didn't feel like there was that much meat - maybe ~5-6 chunks. Overall, it was a really cute place with great staff, but it is a little pricey ! read more

Why 4 stars? Because dessert stole the show. --- --- --- I came here with some colleagues for a team dinner. We went family style on a bunch of items, which was great, because we were at a large, round table with a lazy susan in the center for easy-passing. DINNER Brussels Sprouts: 5-stars Burrata: 4-stars Octopus: 4-stars Shrimp: 3-stars (minus 1 for having to peel) Mussels: 3-stars Branzino: 3-stars At this point, I was fine with the selection of Launderette, but not enamored. And then came to dessert, and my enamor-levels jumped on a notch or two. DESSERT Root Beer Semifreddo: 5-stars Coconut Lime Pavlova: 5-stars Birthday Cake Ice Cream Sandwiches: 5-stars Seasonal Ice Creams: 5-stars (cheesecake and guava) Chocolate French Silk Pie: 4-stars That root beer semifreddo is one of the most amazing desserts I have ever had. I was literally dancing in my seat after each bite. If nothing else, come to Launderette for dessert after dinner. And do not even consider coming here unless you order that. This place is so so cute and perfect for a low key date night or brunch with a few friends. My fiancé and I came on a Wednesday evening for a 7pm reservation. We sat outside, on their patio. The benches are are pretty comfortable with their pillows and you get a nice breeze under the covered areas. Service was pretty top notch over all! Burrata - I was not expecting a cold lump of burrata, but the balsamic glaze added to the overall taste. The bread was super soft and paired nicely with a dish. You could share this with 2-3 people. Pork Ribs - Probably my favorite dish of the night. The ribs were a little cold, but I loved the spicy tangy flavors. The meat also fell off the bone! Chicken - So juicy and so much flavor. I was overwhelmed by how fantastic this tasted, especially with the brussel sprouts. Brussel Sprouts - Not my favorite dish of the night, but still a great side to go along with the entrees! I like my brussel sprouts crispy, and these were a bit more on the soggy end. Overall, I'll definitely come back to try their cocktails and happy hour! read more

Great happy hour tonight at Launderette! So glad we revisited. They offer Monday to Friday HH from 5pm to 6pm! $5 off snacky bits and burger and 1/2 beers, cocktails & wines by the glass! It was quite festive with the holiday lights and a chilly night made comfy with outdoor heat lamps! We had attentive service from our server and everyone was so dog friendly. Our pup enjoyed hanging out in their toasty outdoor patio! Everything we ordered was tasty! Among their snacky bits, we had pimento & potato chips, striped bass crudo (my fave! I dined here today for brunch with my best friend. He's an Austin native and has been wanting to come here for ages The pros: Fantastic food! Amazing pastry of the day And we both love our meals ( salmon gravlox and the chicken Sammie) The cons: Our waiter couldn't have disliked us more. He was very rude and acted like we were Inconveniencing him by eating there. Mind you we were one of the first tables sat. We witnessed him be very nice and even smile with other tables and then when he would eventually come to our table he was extremely snarky. I'm sure he was just having an off day? But he kinda ruined the meal for us. I will reiterate though that the food is amazing! read more

I've eaten here for lunch and brunch and both times were great! Parking: Small lot parking but also plenty of street parking. Seating: indoor and outdoor options Most recently for my brunch experience I had their iced latte which was good (but don't expect it to be very sweet, unless you add more sugar yourself). I had their sourdough Benny which was good, but expect the meat part of this dish to be a coppa (thin pork cold cut). Parts of the coppa were good and others I felt like the texture was an issue for me. The potato latkes were delicious and that apple sauce on the side is the perfect sweet and savory combo. Their fries are also delicious with the garlic aioli. read more

Fewer options but everything is delicious! I went here for brunch with a few girlfriends and we all loved everything we ordered. The patio is also really nice when the weather permits. Their menu is laid out pretty clearly, divided between 3 sections - Sweet Thangs, Specialties (main dishes), and Accompaniments (side dishes). Along with that, they also have daily bakery specials such as donuts, pastries, etc. They also have a great list of brunch cocktails - we ordered mimosas for the table thinking it would be a carafe. To our surprise, they brought us a full unopened bottle with orange juice on the side - just the way we like it! For food, I went with the Asparagus Benny - I don't eat meat so I really appreciated that they were able to make this vegetarian. My friends ordered the Pork Shoulder Hash, Crab Louie, and Fried Chicken Sammie and they were all happy with their choices. Our server checked in often and gave us suggestions/recommendations. Cute and delightful! Launderette has a lovely chic and quaint ambiance. The pastry of the day was a peach strawberry and rosemary crumble which was the perfect starter. The blueberry pancakes are apparently the "best pancakes in Austin" - they are very light, airy, soooo delicious. I'm not a sweet breakfast gal but this is a must. The potato latkes were crispy and crunchy with sides of applesauce and crème fraiche. It is the perfect brunch spot with the girls! I loved just sitting there and enjoying the ambiance. read more

From Katie and Aiden the hostess's to Jon the server and all of the other people who helped us, the service was perfect. It's all about service and this place is as good as it gets. First brunch in Austin. First off the whole vibe is so cute. Apparently, it's a refurbished laundry mat that they converted to a restaurant. Reservation is a must and arrive a little early . They had a small outside patio where you can wait till you're table is ready & a server that will bring you drinks. I love the whole space and vibe but the patio is small. We were able to get seats as other tables were seated. I can imagine during peak brunch hours it's very busy. While waiting we did enjoy an an aperol spritz . The drink was a great price for size and very refreshing. One we got seated the pastry of the day was sold out . It changes every week but by 2 pm we were SOL. Instead, we opted for the Latkas. It came with 3 per order and the crème fraîche was a perfect touch. For the main courses we got the Fried Chicken Sammie and the Pork Shoulder Hash. Out of the two entrees the Fried Chicken Sammie was the best. I could eat 2 of them and not blink. The chicken was so crispy and the slaw was light and added a freshness. I do wish the sandwich came with a side for $15 . The hash on the other hand was a no go. The sauce was ok but the potatoes were so hard & inedible. We ate the pork belly but that's was alright and it wasn't a lot .For $18 it's definitely something I could have skipped. Overall my experience at the Launderret was good. Our server was very friendly and the drinks and chicken sandwich was bomb. Prices are on the higher end but the food is quality. Wait time can be long during peak hours & if you have a large group. I would definitely come back but maybe for happy hour. read more

We had so much fun here it was slightly absurd. We did come here for brunch on a Sunday so we ended up waiting for a bit outside on the patio. But they had servers come out to the patio for drinks and there were fans and nice couches so it wasn't a difficult wait. We ended up eating at the bar and had a great time. We had two servers, Lauren who became our bestie in like 2 seconds, and then the person who looks like Edward Norton. (I say this because we talked about it but I didn't get his name.) The food was very delicious. The latkes are a must get for me now. I got the lox plate and it was so good. We also got the pastry of the day and I cannot stop thinking about it. It was a chocolate brioche with this delicious Nutella type frosting and candied hazelnuts and this really great filling it the center. It was heavenly. The drinks were also very good. The coffee was prepared very lovingly and it showed in the flavor. They also had these awesome color changing straws that were so much fun. Over all had an awesome time and it was definitely worth the wait. Sitting at the bar was so fun as well! read more

For all the accolades, I left Launderette a little disappointed. I expected every dish to hit the mark, but not all did it for me. After meeting two local friends for dinner on a Monday evening, here's my experience: 1) Food: Their menu is small, but focused. To start, my table of three ordered the brussels sprouts and burrata. For my main, I ordered the Pasta Mafaldine. The starters were both great and they even brought out sesame crackers for the burrata for our friend who is gluten-free. However, my pasta was just okay. A good part of the meat was a little too fatty. The dessert of Devil's Food Dirt Cake was the winner! The coffee coconut sorbet with the chocolate crumble made the texture so enjoyable to eat. 2) Drinks: On Mondays, they sell half off bottles of wine so we got a Californian red for the table. 3) Service: For being busy, our server was attentive and efficient. She was knowledgeable on the menu, but wasn't very friendly. She seemed rushed and never once showed a smile or friendliness. 4) Location: It's in East Austin in Holly, a residential neighborhood with several gems of restaurants nearby. If you have many days in ATX, I recommend going as many people love it. For my taste, going one is enough for me. read more
