Party room with the birthday boy's name!
Bri M.

We had our son's second birthday here and loved it!! The facility was very clean and we received excellent service. Detria was our party host - her and the staff immediately took everything off our hands and set up the room perfectly. This allowed both me and my husband (and all other guest) to start jumping with the kids immediately. Our son and his party guest had a blast. The pizza, wings, fries and muffins were delish! All leftovers, the staff boxed up for us and helped load in the car. They also loaded all the gifts in the car for us as well! This allowed for a carefree time for us and we really got to enjoy the time with our son. We will def be back and will highly recommend Launch in RVA.

We went for first time this past Saturday. Cleaner than most trampoline parks we have visited. Everyone there was nice and pleasant.

SECOND REVIEW: I'm updating my review after giving this location another shot, especially since…read morethey had given a 50% off certificate when they were closed during our first visit. We went on a Thursday late afternoon, and while everything ended up being fine overall, a few things stood out. The place was nearly empty when we arrived, and although we were seated right away, it took about 15-20 minutes before anyone came to our table. My husband actually had to walk back to the host stand to ask if we'd been forgotten. Right after that, a server came over--and to her credit, she was great. Super friendly, attentive, no complaints at all once she took over. The food was also really delicious. My main gripe is the size of this location. It's hands down the smallest Dave & Buster's I've ever been to. It honestly felt more like a mini version. Luckily, it wasn't crowded and we were visiting with our 4-year-old granddaughter, so it ended up being just right for her. That was the whole point of our visit anyway. That said, we definitely won't be returning. It's just too small for our personal taste and what we typically expect from a Dave & Buster's experience. ------------ ORIGINAL REVIEW: Drove 1.5 hours (rain and traffic was terrible) from Williamsburg with our 4-year-old granddaughter, only to find a sign on the door saying the place was closed from 2PM-9PM for a private event (Capital One) and would reopen later that night at 9PM. No notice on the website, no heads-up on social media -- just a paper sign when we got there. She was so disappointed. If I had known, I would've just gone straight to the Virginia Beach location. Now we're stuck driving 2 more hours. Staff gave us a 50% off voucher, which was appreciated, but honestly, the lack of communication really soured the experience. Not sure I'd come back to this location.

Can't in good faith recommend this location. No one was available to help and we had to find and flag someone twice, once to be seated and then to try to figure out when our food was coming. We were sat for 2 hours and visited by our server all of 3 times. We only ordered a water, Dr. Pepper and two entrees which took 40 minutes to come out. As mentioned in other reviews, the selection of games is a lot smaller than other locations, some of the games are great but will malfunction often which makes it hard to play. The restaurant needs work don't waste your time it took me 2 hours for a dr. Pepper, two burgers, one being burnt, the other tasted like dish soap and then had to wait another 40 minutes for them to remake it to go in an empty restaurant. I'd recommend just visiting a D&B when traveling or patron a different entertainment center.

This was my first time at River City Roll, and it has gone on the list of things to do when I am in…read morethe Richmond area. I will honestly even make the trip up just to come hang out at River City. When you walk inside you have a hostess stand where someone is waiting the help you out. Everyone that we had contact with employee wise were great. Everyone was helpful, kind, and professional We ate first while we waited for our lanes to be open. There is absolutely no complaint about the food here. Everything was great. I had a BLT sandwich. It was jam packed with crispy bacon that I asked for, lettuce, tomato, mayo sandwiched between 2 thick slices of bread. The pizzas looked delicious. They are made in a fire pizza oven. All of the food came out piping hot. Out waitress was great. She was attentive and made sure everything came out, and our drinks were always filled. The waffles were a perfect sweetness, and had a good amount of berries and paired with syrup that I think was maple syrup. My friends, and husband raved about their drink with alcohol. So kudos to the bartenders. The dry rub wings had a great crispy to them and they did not lack seasoning. Lastly, get the cheddar biscuits. They are made fresh, and had great flavor. They had scoop of butter, grape and strawberry jelly. When it came time for bowling. Our bill and drinks were transferred over to the alley tab. Our shoes were waiting for us at the lanes. Bowling was a breeze, and navigating the computer system to keep score was easy. The seating in the alleys were leather couches, and a table to have food at. There was a waitress walking around getting anything we needs, like food, drinks or problems that needed to be solved. Bathrooms were clean and amusing with signage. It made me giggle. The supplies were well stocked. The alleys and property inside and out were very clean. The surrounding area seems to be making a change, but it is still questionable in some areas, and there is a lot of construction nearby. I always felt safe though. There was a misunderstanding with the reservation process and turns out we never had a reservation. Either way Ben stepped up and just made things right. He was great. He took care of us. Customer service is over 5 stars!

I've only done bowling once, but this place is so big you can hang out without it! Last time I visited was for Singo brunch - which was SO fun! I ordered the Brunch bowl which was delicious and filling. And we got a few coffee cocktails because - brunch. Ryan was a great bartender!

As the planner of the party, I highly suggest opting for the birthday package even if it's no ones birthday because not only is it the same price as a normal group package, but it comes with a t-shirt. I love the neon t-shirt I now have after this fun evening. You're not allowed to bring outside food to the party room, but you can bring dessert. They provide you with plates, serving utensils, and napkins which is nice. If you want food, they have food package options you can pay them for. We had enough seating for everyone and this came with two games. There is a huge variety of games you can pick from. We picked the classic free-for-all for our first and then a teams based one for our second game. They had even more styles to pick from too. As the "bday girl" I got to choose the themes I wanted for the names (your name is assigned to you with the gun/laser vest you pick). Our first game was Nintendo themed and our second was Food Puns themed. This was an easy place to get to. They have a free parking lot out front. They have mens and womens restrooms inside. And a water bottle filling station at the water fountain. They also had an arcade near the front. I highly recommend having a big group here. It was so much fun.
