I'm glad this neighborhood has a place for kids and kids at heart to play, yet it is in dire need of a spruce!

They have public bathrooms and water fountains near these picnic tables. There is a large area toward the back of the park which has swings jungle gym in a play area for children. They also have basketball courts a volleyball net with sand and plenty of soccer fields to play A variety of sports. Parking can be quite tricky if you cannot find a spot in there nearby parking lot you could always park across the street from the park. However be mindful of the parking is also designated for the apartment buildings of the gallery nearby. If you park across the street from the park beware that you are crossing a very large and busy intersection of traffic as majority of traffic is coming off of the interstate. Abide by the laws and use the cross walks for safety. My group of friends and I utilize the volleyball net and sand volleyball pit. While the net is not the greatest of quality and does sag it does provide an ample area for volleyball to be played. The sandpit is not easily marked for boundaries for an actual game however there is some sort of haphazard ribbon around the perimeter of the pit. I would recommend wearing flip-flops or sandals if you wish to play in that area. The biggest downside to this park is some of broken glass near the bathrooms and water fountains. Be mindful when children and adults are playing to not be barefooted around these areas. We came across a good amount of broken glass scattered around. Overall the park seems to be used quite often especially on the weekends such as on Saturday and Sunday. One of the smallest yet busiest parks in the museum district, and one of the best hidden secrets. Keep in mind that there are no dogs are allowed on premises, as well as no alcohol, weapons etc. and it closes at dark.

It's completely fenced in, has plenty of receptacles, picnic tables and benches. Heads up, leave the fur babies home, no pups allowed. There's a large sliding area, and a smaller one on the Libbie entrance. There's a mini rock wall and climbing stools. Let your kiddos swing on the swing set with a couple of open swings and a few buckets swings for toddlers. You'll only find two spring rides, but it's a neighborhood playground so that's sufficient. The mulched playground should keep you precious cargo safe enough and there's a small field for playing ball. Although this is not a huge place, it should tire your tots out! Minimal parking, many folks just walk over!! Have fun and be safe.

It's basically $100 a month and it just goes on infinitely until you choose to stop. I would prefer it to be structured more around "seasons" with a culminating show so the kids could feel a sense of growth, progress and pride. All in all - We enjoyed our time but will be looking for other gymnastics options in the future with a different class model oriented more towards growth.

My kiddo has been wanting to learn to bowl, so this was the second place we have tried. They have sooooooooo many balls for younger kids since this is targeted toward military families. There were ample 4, 5, 6, and 7 pound balls. It was soooooooooo easy to find some smaller ones for my kiddos to use. I really appreciated that. You ask at the front desk for them to set the bumpers, but once they set them, they raise and fall each time for the players. So hubs and I could earn our gutter balls fair and square, while the kids got higher than they would have earned without them... Definitely better than places where you either have to have them up or down the whole time. No music was playing although they have one of those jukeboxes where you pay for songs on a phone app, but I rather liked how we weren't screaming over the music and pins falling. We ordered some two cheeseburger combos and a nachos and cheese. I really liked that when you order nachos, they grab you an individual bag of either Tostitos or nacho cheese Doritos, so it is consistent sized every time. The cheese dip is that delicious, iridescent orange cheese at ballparks and convenience stores, but boy does it hit the spot. It is a little pricy for $5.25, but the burger combos are a STEAL. Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions, and the condiment bar has so many options: mustard, ketchup, relish, ranch, hot sauce, honey mustard... it also comes with fries and a fountain drink (with orange soda, fruit punch, root beer, regular soda, Powerade... all the choices my picky kids love!) for $8.25. Cheaper than I pay at fast food chains these days and it was GREAT. Char marks and everything. Yum! You pay by the hour, and for shoe rentals and I do wish that the computer had a timer so you know how far into the hour you are, so you can gauge if you should start a new game or not, if you forgot to look at the time you started after trying to find multiple balls, get appropriately sized shoes and everything it takes to get two kiddos ready to bowl. There were no parking lots any closer, it's just street parking then you walk the rest of the way. The playground itself is fenced off, to differentiate it from the surrounding park. It had some play structures and some swings along with a see saw and a few other things. There's also benches for parents to sit on while the kids are playing. The playground is mostly in the shade, which would be nice in summer. I liked it, but for some reason a group of 4-5 teenagers came by and hung out there for a while; this was around noon on a Tuesday in October, which I thought was weird. Anyway, if you're looking for a good place to let your kid play, this place would fit the bill and I would go here again.

I say that because there is ZERO shade or coverage on the playground. All of the play equipment was too hot to utilize and there was no working water fountain or restroom. On a cooler day my review might have been more charitable, maybe even a 3 star because we would have actually played on the playground. Instead we sort of kicked some mulch around and burned our bottoms swinging on the swings for a few minutes before leaving. Since we were in a roadtrip and just passing through we couldn't be too choosey. I will say that the paved walking path along the perimeter was decent and the dog was a fan. There were a few picnic tables under some big shade trees and the temp felt 10 degrees cooler.
