The playground has well-constructed equipment, many of which is differently-ambled-friendly. There are also nice porch-swing-like bench swings for parents to chill out on. There are bathrooms that are well maintained and clean. Trails are well maintained and expansive. Plenty of Ingress/Pokémon Go/Wizards Unite stops. Ice cream trucks (plural) visit frequently, particularly in the summer months. Even though it's located in a developed area, Huguenot Park feels like it is the middle of untouched nature.

There were no parking lots any closer, it's just street parking then you walk the rest of the way. The playground itself is fenced off, to differentiate it from the surrounding park. It had some play structures and some swings along with a see saw and a few other things. There's also benches for parents to sit on while the kids are playing. The playground is mostly in the shade, which would be nice in summer. I liked it, but for some reason a group of 4-5 teenagers came by and hung out there for a while; this was around noon on a Tuesday in October, which I thought was weird. Anyway, if you're looking for a good place to let your kid play, this place would fit the bill and I would go here again.

We arrived around 5:30pm and spent until about 7pm exploring all the walking paths. There is something here for everyone. There is a huge playground for little ones, there are paths for walkers/runners/dog walkers, and there were even a bunch of people fishing in the lakes. I love how child-friendly this park is. It felt like most of the bridges, benches, and other fun structures were made by girl or boy scouts. There is a huge parking lot so it's easy to drive to this spot. They also have very clean restrooms. We didn't go in to the nature center, but that was pretty too. I liked that this park had a lot to explore. The water was low enough at one section for us to go to a little island in the middle of one lake. While not all the trees have their leaves yet, I image this is even prettier when everything is in bloom. It was a very serene and lovely place to explore.

This place has plenty of parking, lots of playground equipment, and (as the name suggests) three small lakes to walk around. It's worth noting that the main lake (closes to the park entrance) is where fishing is permitted and has the newest/nicest path as well. The middle lake is enjoyable though is a bit rougher. The far lake was damaged in storms in the past so some of it is pretty rough but still enjoyable to explore. I make sure to hit all three lakes every visit, though if you want a nice clean experience, stick to the main lake. The nature center is nice but fair warning: it's pretty small and won't take more than 10-15 minutes to enjoy in its entirety. Still, the staff member there tends to be nice and there are a few small animals in the little displays there. If you want a fun place to walk (especially if you have kids who like playground equipment), this is a great spot to do it. Overall: 5.0 stars ---- Pros: - Beautiful walking spot. - Pleasant staff. - Lots of free parking. - Fun (if small) nature center. - Plenty of playground equipment for kids. We found this gem by accident walking thru the mall after dinner and decided to come back and try it. It's for ages 0-5 which is perfect and you make your reservation online. $20 for 2 hours of play and $10 for the second kid. Grippy socks are needed. Everything is safe and clean which I loved. It was quite with a great Disney playlist playing in the background. The bathrooms were squeaky clean and there were white crocs by the bathrooms so you didn't go in with just socks on. You can bring snacks and drinks for your little one and sit in the front waiting area with it. For parents with big kids that don't need as much assistance the sitting area upfront is so nice. There were also couches in the back infront of the ballpit that has phone chargers ready for you. The staff was super nice and clean up in between each session. Will def be returning this summer.

The park has a memorial for a woman named Joanne Britton Norvell. It looks like it use to be a fountain there, that has been removed somewhere down the road. Many people were lounging on blankets in the grass while I was there. You may see a porta potty at the park, but it is private and had a pad lock on it. As I mentioned, this is a low key spot that does not have much to offer outside of its semi-shaded green space, brick paved walkways, and plants.
