Great time escaping from the Elephant Shujaa room!! It was very realistic and definitely safari hot…read more in there! We especially liked the background music and props were very cool !! You have to be very observant and work in coordination with your team, otherwise you won't make it out in time! The owner was very friendly and the clues interesting! You must work as a team and systematically work through the clues. Fresh eyes are a must, so rotate through your team! You get three hints if needed. A portion of the proceeds go toward elephant preservation! All in all, it was a fantastic experience!! So. Ring your friends and coworkers!!!

I found this escape room which was close to upper Shirley vineyards and added this to our friend's…read morebirthday celebration! We're a bunch of escape room fanatics. :) We did the elephant shujaa room where the objective is to hunt down the poachers. You enter a tent to search for clues to hunt down the location of the poachers to capture them. I really did feel like I was in Africa with the heat (haha). Points for immersion :) We were provided with a walkie-talkie and 3 hints if needed. Sleuthing around the tent required being very observant, attention to detail and team work. The clues made sense and were not convoluted. I wouldn't recommend the max of 8 people. It can get tight in there. Maybe 2-5people. We had a good time despite the heat. We broke out with 11min and 29 seconds to spare with a group of 3. If you're in town, check this place out! I hail from VB so the next time I do come it will be if I'm in the area for other things.

Everything was so awesome, it's hard to know where to start. But here we go:…read more Took both daughters & the g'kids (15, 13 & 12) for a fun family time while visiting Williamsburg. Tip for finding it: the business park it's in has lots of buildings that look alike. The sign they put out front is quite small. We were the only ones there besides our host, Maya. She was so friendly & welcoming, such a pleasure to meet her. We got started right away in Blackbeard's Cabin, said to be the hardest room. Well, I'll tell you it IS tough! We found lots (and lots and lots) of clues but at the halfway mark had to start asking for hints. What to do when you've found 20 or 30 bits that lead to a solution, but can't figure out how to assemble them? Why, talk like a pirate, of course. With ample hints, we actually solved it with 8 minutes to spare. Many laughs and head scratches, "hmmm"s and "Oh wait, wait!" but in the end we triumphed. DGD the Younger and I don't like jump scares, so I don't know that we would ever try the Chesapeake Bay Butcher room, but I would love to try Cyberpunkd the next time we come to Williamsburg.

We did a couple of the rooms here and we loved it. Particularly we all LOVED the Chesapeake Bay…read moreButcher room. If there was ever one escape room I wish I could do again for the first time it would be that one. The puzzles were fun and imaginative and honestly kinda scary and thrilling. We did another one about treasure after that one because we loved it so much and none of us enjoyed this one quite as much. The team was very helpful in guiding us during the times we were stuck. Really fun place!

The room/location is "low tech" compared to others and looks... more hand done than others I've played. Not a bad thing but would have lowered the rating. What saved rating was the expansiveness of the room. I don't want to give away details but the whole room felt like it kept opening doors to more areas. I love that feeling. Sorta more bang for your buck. All in all, we'd definitely go back.

Myself and one friend had only done an escape room one other time with the rest never having done one. The guy running the room was very down to earth and calmed our nerves. He explained the rules and safety guidelines very well. When we were in the room, it was so fun and some of the puzzles were really out of the box. The guy would chime in and give hints that would let you know, "hey you're wrong" without giving too much away. It had some physical aspects in this room, but nothing too bad, mostly crawling. I'm very happy with our experience and would definitely come back. Not to mention the prices were very reasonable.
