    Spicy BBQ Pork Bahn Mi

Not only are the prices fair, the service you get from the woman who owns the place is amazing!!!! The absolute sweetest person. Made me the best tasting spicy bbq pork Bahn Mi I've ever had here in the city. And to top it off they even sell fresh made daily donuts that are incredible

food was very good we got a bagel with cream cheese and a bacon egg and cheese they gave us salsa and ketchup with it. price is good and the lady who made our food was very nice and homely and sweet. the man that was there was great conversation and company very funny guy we didn't catch his name tho . overall the place was nice food was good and the workers were very nice

Food prep happening on a table

Food prep was being done in the customer seating area. This is probably a health code violation.

Let's just say don't judge a book by its cover. This shop looks run down and boarded up but don't let the outside fools you. There are great things inside, I promise. I was craving a regular banh mi with no frill and less than $10 and this place delivered just that. A grilled pork banh mi + Thai tea combo costs $10.50 before tax. Feeling something more caffeinated? They have a vietnamese coffee combo for less than $10. Banh mi: Excellent! Crispy bread, thick slices of pork, plenty of pickled shredded carrots. It comes with mayo so if you're not fan, ask to omit it. Thai tea: Good, just like any other Thai teas Will come back for their other specials like grilled pork/chicken rice plates, katsu-don, and breakfast burrito.

Super cheap! 7.75 for a vietnamese sandwich. Cheapest in the area. The shop was so unassuming I might never have gone in. Glad i did! Best spot for cheap eats in the area

This place has the look of a convenience store, and it is convenient to get to from the San Francisco Caltrain station. There are a wide variety of menu items including Vietnamese food, Hawaiian and breakfast. The price us right as well. I had a banh mi with barbecue pork. Nice fresh bread with the right crunch, pickled carrots, not a lot of jalapeño pepper though. I don't think it has any--seems pretty unusual. It tasted good though.

    Banh mi ?!

Best Vietnamese sandwiches and ice coffee. All the cooked food is actually really good. If you're in the area it's hard not to stop by.

When we called to ask about a…read morewait, they mentioned there was not wait... part of the reason they do that is because they don't keep a list. You either have reservations or you're a walk in and you stand in line until a table is available for you. At first this was strange, but I think it makes for a better experience. The team was incredible, they were so kind on a day that can be stressful for a small restaurant. We had incredible food. I was so happy to get my Eggs Royale and my husband said the French toast was the best he's ever had. (Even comparing it to French toast in Paris) No notes. This will be our Mother's Day place going forward next time with reservations.

It seems like this place is an asian fusion brunch place incorporating french dishes into thai/asian themed dishes which is up our alley. We made a reservation at 1:45 PM and we had to wait for about an extra 30 minutes before getting seated. Initially, I wanted to try their crab fried rice but unfortunately they were out of crab. We decided to get the Alcatraz Escape and the Brioche french toast which were recommended by the wait staff. The staff was generally friendly and accommodating but I can tell they were swamped and stressed out with all the people they were trying to serve. The food itself tasted decent, the Alcatraz Escape had a tasty flavor which incorporates tom yum paste (sweet, sour, tangy flavor) into their scramble with about 4 shrimps. The side of crispy chicken was good but nothing that stood out to us. The brioche was soft but there wasn't much flavoring besides the fruits and caramelized banana. It was served with evaporated milk which made the brioche soft but not adding much flavor to it. The price however was quite pricey. For two dishes as a side we paid around $78 with tax and tip.

My husband and I's favorite place to eat in the world is New Orleans so this place definitely did not disappoint. We started with coffee drinks, I had some sort of boozy espresso drink which I could have done without since the bitters tasted like licorice which is probably a taste preference. My husband had the grandma coffee which was also fine. Then the food came out and it went up from here! The catfish & grits just might be the best I've ever had. My husband also really enjoyed his banana foster French toast, & i loved that they allowed you to get one piece of fried chicken because i had to try it out despite a full meal. The wing I had was Nice & crunchy with a delicious sweet sauce on the side that reminded me of mambo sauce ( a DC staple.) My husband also had the gumbo which was good but I wouldn't say our favorite. I prefer my gumbo with a little more spice but that could just be personal preference. We ended the meal with beignets: I had the ube beignet which was so unique & flavorful! I don't think I would have had a chance to try that type of beignet anywhere else so glad to try something different, it was delicious. The crawfish beignet was also so flavorful! The beignets in general were much more bready than typical beignets but still very good & unique to this place. On top of that, the service was great & the food came out quick, hot & fresh! I wish we had more time (& stomach space) to try other items on the menu, everywhere we looked everything looked delicious so we'll just have to try more the next time we're back in SF!

The place is a little cramped, but we were able to wait inside until the whole party was there to be seated. It was a good place for a group dinner. The cocktails are cheap for San Francisco, and the beer selection is decent. And the food is dense and delicious without being too heavy. I shared the catfish with crawfish etouffee (special), the gumbo, and a dungeness crab beignet with my boyfriend. We also ordered some banana cream pie for the table, which was a huge hit.
