Such a great restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious, crafted by a chef with true skill. I'm grateful for this place and all the people who make it happen. Went to make happy hour and live music, had 20 minutes left of happy hour after a long day of work. Came up and asked to sit outside and the host/manager i think, said 5-10 minutes. A new group of two came in and said "what are the chances us of sitting outside right now" and they proceeded to sit the new group of 2 in front of us immediately and said nothing to us while proceeding to make wait. We went there to celebrate my birthday with my husband, oldest daughter and her boyfriend. The place has such a relaxing vibe about it. We shared the cheese platter which was delicious. Started off with a lemon drop martini at the bar, along with the Diablo tartare... two of my faves here. I tried their Ahi tuna salad, which I've had at their Twenty 88 location. Greens were fresh, and the tuna wasn't fishy at all. This is a great salad if you want something light. Also had their Bacon Cheddar burger. Meat was super juicy, and the buns were the perfect vehicle to soak it all up. Higher end version of a Big Mac IMO. Service was good. The bartender was super attentive. Ambiance was ok. My fiance stopped by here for lunch, and this place will definitely be earning our business again if we are ever in town. Latitude 34 is a modest but cozy lunch spot in Camarillo offering California inspired dishes. If you're scratching your head (like I would be) at what that means it's basically New American with an extra emphasis on seafood. Our server was Adrian and he did a fantastic job helping us pick a solid lunch and even brought me some tasters when I was between soups. We ended up going with a couple appetizers. My girl got a Caesar salad and I went with the French dip. Now the food wasn't life changing, but it was solid all around. My sandwich was delicious, and the salad earned good marks as well. The standout dish was the clam chowder. The manager checked in with us and said that was his favorite dish and I can see why. It tasted so fresh, and whatever the hell they put in it was checking all the right boxes. I'm not even a clam chowder guy, but it's been a few hours and I'm still dreaming about it wishing I had another bowl in front of me... My husband and I were both pleasantly surprised about the seasoning, texture and presentation to the meal. It's a relaxed, yet soothing atmosphere in the restaurant. I enjoy my time there even when I'm just by myself drinking a mocktail or having a salad. The food is delicious. Stumbling into the evening, this hungry chipmunk strolled in latitude 34, a local area whom he was always curious about since it opened 1 year ago. Every time I would go to Chipotle next door, I would always wonder what it would be like to experience this fine dining establishment that always seemed popular no matter the time. With the fire heater radiating in the outside patio, it looks very inviting -- much like a moth being drawn to a flame. Anyways I digress. I was greeted warmly by the front desk, whom directed me to my party promptly. It was a bit of confusion at first -- however, as soon as they recognized one of my contacts on the phone as someone who had reservations, I was led to the table. Upon looking around, the interior look quite fancy with white tables, chairs, and fine glass. We were seated behind the front desk in a corner which was perfect as it allows for more conversations. Our table of about 7 people sat comfortably. I ordered the Lychee cocktail which had blue curacao, along with lychee vodka. It was amazing because you don't even taste the alcohol! It's one of those that allows you to have a great time without going over. Sweet like. Everyone else at the table had shirley temples, mint mojitos, and even a pink lemonade. We also had Calamari as the appetizer and I have to say... it was 5/5 yelp stars! Usually, it is either too salty or chewy but these were fried perfectly, along with the complimentary sauce. It tasted amazing with the cocktail. The sauces were out of this world. Next, we moved on to the main entrees of the night off the dinner menu: I ordered the ribeye medium rare that came with asparagus. I chose truffle fries as my side order with melted butter sauce on my steak. My coworkers got new york steak and filet mignon, respectively, and theirs turned out amazing as well! The first bite was lunarious (a term I created meaning as good as if you were eating on the moon; basically, out of this planet), with the steak being perfectly cooked showing a little pink in the center. It was succulent, juicy, and mouth-watering. In fact, it was cooked so well that I didn't even notice the melted butter on top of the steak. It had the characteristic perpendicular grill marks. The garlic truffle fries were perfectly balanced with it not being too salty. It was crunchy and not overpowered like most places with overwhelming truffle flavor. Last but not least, we got the beignets which came with 6 small pieces that were perfectly powdered with sugar. However, the main highlight of the night was the scoop of ICE CREAM that came with the beignets. I don't know how to describe it but it was flavorful much like gelato. Every scoop of ice cream was bursting with berry flavor. Quite possibly the best ice cream in the U.S. (yes, I've been to Rome, Italy to try the first place that created gelato and it rivals that!) All-in-all, this new establishment of Latitude 34 meaning it crosses the Santa Rosa Islands of the channel islands, laterally of the Earth's circumference on the 34th parallel is packed with symbolism. Appropriately name for an establishment of this caliber. Shout out to Riley for being our server -- being polite and friendly by asking what company we are from. read more

Drove up the coast because the picture of the short ribs was compelling. SO glad I did. My wife and I shared the ceviche and the short ribs. The ceviche was delicious. Tons of shrimp scallops and soft octopus. The sauce was Devine. The short ribs were out of this world. Cut with a butter knife or pull a bite with your fork. Deep flavor And the risotto was surprisingly tasty. Even the veggies were good. The waitress was quick and attentive. Very glad she recommended the short ribs when I asked. Still hungry and not wanting to fly back to Carlsbad on an empty stomach, We called an UBER and went to the closest place we saw, Latitude 34! less than a mile from the airport! Stopped by on a Monday after work with my girlfriends! They have a great happy hour. I had the Mac n Cheese, beef sliders that come with fries and ordered the butter cake by our servers rec. She wasn't wrong .. best I ever had. My friends enjoyed all the happy hour dishes they got ! I loved all my food except the mac and cheese was way too salty. That's why the 4 and not the 5 star review. They had some holiday decor. Well you know what they say, good news travels fast, and bad news travels faster. Well I got nothing but good news on this epic amazing restaurant. First off, the bad news is, 2 minutes away is a restaurant that kept our party of six waiting much longer than we should have almost an hour. They weren't holding a table of three until the next party of three finish, so we never got a table for six. We would have been there all night. You'll be seen their review next. So when I realized 45 after almost an hour, which we were told it was a 30-minute wait, we were never going to get a table, I called Latitude 34. The receptionist that latitude could not have been nicer, which was completely opposite of the previous restaurant. The head of the entrepreneur program at USC said, the most important person in any company is the receptionist. You can never make a second first impression. I told her what was going on, she said you're a 2-minute walk away. I said great. How long for a party of 6. She said 10 minutes. We went over, we were sat right away. The service, the food, everything about this place was epic. I cannot highly recommend this restaurant enough. Had we known ahead of time, we would have made a reservation. But it all worked out. Who wants to eat at a sports bar anyway. We weren't there to watch sports. We wanted great atmosphere, relaxed, great food, great service. Latitude 34 checked every box. Oh yeah by the way, the sports bar did not give military veteran discount, and Latitude 34 does. The only sad part, there's only one Latitude 34. Came here on a Thursday evening. Ordered from happy hour menu(which was still kinda pricey) But still good. My sister ordered the shrimp and chicken pasta...and we found a long black hair tangled within the food. I get it, crap happens but when you're paying over $20 for an entree at a nicer restaurant, it's disappointing. Although they did remake it there was no remedy as far as hey let me get you a dessert or hey let's take them off the bill. Not looking for a handout or anything but that rubbed me the wrong way. As with any board I do always wish extra crackers would be served. The prosciutto and salami were fresh as you were able to tear apart the prosciutto easily indicating its freshness. The spicy peach margarita was the best one out all three flavors. I had my classic favorite lobster seafood pasta with tasty mussels and lobster. Just beware of wearing any light colors with this pasta as it is always served with lots of pasta. The truffle fries were very delicious as it had the right amount of truffle with it not being too overpowering. We ended the night with the beignets and smores martini. The beignets were perfectly made and paired with the cherry gelato. The smores martini was also quite tasty and a great way to end dinner. I do wish some of our plates had a better presentation and would have enjoyed a quicker service. I understand it was busy but it was easy to tell our waiter felt rushed. Latitude 34 was a great place for our big group on Christmas Eve for a birthday party. The restaurant was busy for the holiday and we had great service and a good meal. The French onion soup was delicious and a nice starter to share for two of us. My main course was the scallops and i don't know if I've had a better scallop dish in the west side, this was fantastic.
