The live music was stuffed at the end of the restaurant near the restroom walkway. We ended up getting the wrong drink that was asked for but didn't make a big deal over it. Since we don't drink alcohol but saw they had a zero alcohol substitute for any drink we thought we'd give it a try. The food was decent and executed well but didn't have that wow factor for us. I hadn't seen my childhood friends (The Mejia's) in a while, so when they pulled up in a 1972 International Scout Traveler, freshly restored and rich with the scent of rawhide from its new King Leather seats, it felt less like dinner plans and more like the start of a Yellowstone episode. That beast of a vehicle didn't just turn heads--it transported us. They'd chosen the spot: Latitude 34. On the ride over, they talked up the chef like he was some kind of culinary gunslinger, and when the talk turned to steak, my buddy and I made a gentleman's pact--we'd split plates. Go half on the New York strip: 14 ounces of seared perfection, laid across mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, finished with a side of the house's "special sauce," which lived up to its name. Our waitress--Rain--had a presence as fresh as her name. Her smile was easy, her energy genuine, and she brought a rhythm to the table that felt effortless. The Lamb Shank sat there, melting into a creamy bed of risotto, flanked again by those perfectly grilled spears. My friend's wife ordered the grilled shrimp, and though my shellfish allergy kept me at bay, the plate itself had me salivating. It looked like summer wrapped in citrus and smoke. We raised glasses of wine, whiskey, and bourbon--because what else would well-groomed people sip after arriving in a leather-wrapped tank of American steel? At one point, I half-expected the Dutton family to stride in and pull up chairs. But this wasn't Montana. This was California's sun-baked ranch land--where the roots run deep and the stories come layered. Here, in the town named after Mexican rancher, Adolfo Camarillo, where the heritage of Mexican vaqueros mingles with German surnames like Borchard and Maulhardt--and where Japanese families like the Nakamura's and Hiji's still till this fertile soil in the county--you feel the gravity of lineage. The chef is from old town Camarillo's Twenty 88 Gourmet Fusion and you can tell by the dishes here. I charge my car at the nearby supercharger and wanted to try this place with my family. I stopped by on a Saturday around 7:30 PM and it was relatively busy. Didn't have to wait at all. I ordered the ahi tuna salad, calamari, Brussels sprouts, seafood pasta, chicken pasta, and another salad, and some other dishes with the family. The server was very friendly and attentive. One thing that was weird was some of the white chairs were really worn out and no padding where you sit making them very uncomfortable and uneven. Overall the food was great, service was good, and the ambiance was nice. The only thing is that the prices are quite high since the cater to higher price point. So even though we had a great food, I wish it was a little more reasonable in terms of pricing. But that's my only con. But for a special meal, I'd come back. read more

I ordered the lobster seafood pasta, and I'm not trying to exaggerate BUT this by far is the BEST seafood pasta I've ever had. It's in the perimeter of the parking lot, so there should be more than adequate parking, unless you happen to go at a time when the mall is going full blast. They have both inside and plentiful outside dining, which is very nice when the weather is accommodating. I enjoyed a nice dinner there and order the Atlantic Salmon which goes for $32.00. I was there with a group on Friday, and the service was sub-par. The food is excellent, but the waiter did not serve well, in my estimation. When I asked for separate checks, he curtly snapped that it would be done at the end of the meal. All he had to say was, "Of course, we will be glad to take care of that." And I was halfway through my meal when my drink glass was empty. He never offered to replenish my drink - not attentive at all. And the same thing happened with my friend across from me. What incentive does the waiter (or waitress) have to serve well when the bill includes an automatic 18% tip? A tip should be earned with good service. If I return to Latitude 34 and receive such mediocre service, I will deduct the automatic tip from my bill, and will not go back. read more

It was their Christmas special--an espresso peppermint martini--and honestly, it was the best drink I've ever had there. It seems our Saturday night experience may have just been a fluke. Went to celebrate my parents 53rd anniversary-- we had no reservation, and the place was hopping -- but we took a chance on their wait list -- we were seated in less than 30 min. The food here never disappoints!! Calamari was fresh, crisp and well seasoned. The ceviche was delicious with super fresh seafood, flawless seasoning and I loved the playful texture combination of cucumber, avocado and red onion with the brightly tart ceviche sauce that I wanted to eat with a spoon. My husband is incapable of ordering anything other than the epic pork chop which was cooked to perfection. Delicious mashed potatoes, slightly overcooked Brussels sprouts and the mango chutney is just not necessary. It doesn't add anything to the already perfect dish. Birria tacos that didn't fall apart when you dunked them. And my mom really enjoyed her shrimp and chicken pasta. We so appreciated the chocolate writing. And oh-- their beignets are incredible. Light, just the right amount of sugar and the small size means you can't stop at just one! This place has become our go to celebration place in Camarillo. We love it here! read more

Found this restaurant location via Yelp while traveling 101 fwy thru Camarillo The hosted seated us quickly at 5:30 PM on a Sunday at a table in a small corner next to the singer-crooner's platform. The singer did covers from Sinatra, J. Cash, Orbison, N. Diamond. Our server Hannah was efficient and professional, quickly taking our drink order and delivering a basket of bread. But they were decent sizes. Beef sliders - the little one liked. His only complaint was that it has very few fries, but the burger was good. The Pork belly sliders & Truffle Arancini were both tasty and juicy. The Truffle Arancini tasted like risotto in a ball. Tacos for the day was okay. One taco, the salmon was a bit dry and lacked flavoring. The other taco had a moist salmon and more avocado topping. Chips and salsa were acceptable. Drinks were delicious. We drive from Thousand Oaks to eat. We have never been disappointed with a meal or drinks. They have a great wine and alcohol selection. Vanessa made some amazing drinks.
