I took him at his professional word and approved the work on that basis. It did not last 12 hours. The system stopped working the same day. Only afterward did I read the fine print on the invoice, which says the opposite of what I was told in person: that a recharge carries no guarantee of operation for any period of time and that the refrigerant may keep leaking. So I was sold a "summer" fix verbally, handed a disclaimer in writing, and left with a system that quit before the next morning. To make it worse, no one had the courtesy to call me and let me know the outcome of the conversation with their technician. Having managed large operations for years, I know there's a right way and a wrong way to do business: set honest expectations, stand behind what your technician promises, and communicate directly. None of that happened here. My advice, get every promise in writing before you approve any work, or better yet, call someone else.

Due to permit issues we had for a separate matter, I had to reschedule with Mr.Air multiple times. They also had to hold 4 mini split ACs and two condensers for months because of the rescheduling. We had to change the order a few times due to changing our minds on the location of the condenser as well as electrical work needed. At no point did they complain or demand we store the equipment or move up the date. We had all of the ACs installed in one day (9am to 8pm), and they provided plastic to cover furniture. They didn't slack and didn't complain about my father hovering over them (he loves to watch contractors so he could learn; which I'm sure isn't pleasing to any contractor). Overall, the entire team at Mr. Air was fantastic to work with and so kind to us!

My only complaint would be the plumber who came to cap the gas, I feel as though there should be more communication with the client and vendors and more explanation on exactly what needs to happen. The plumber did not turn our gas back on so now we are having to spend additional money to have the gas put back on for our tenant. We called him, texted him and sent email to Ice Age and no help yet! Overall I would recommend ice age,but I would be hesitant to trust the contracted plumber they use. I have this plumbers info if anyone wants to reach out to me to check if it's the same company ice age is planning on using for your future job. We're very sorry to report that we just had a negative experience with Kevin of MacAir. Most…read morereviews here are over 2 years old. Thought a more recent review might be helpful for folks. Kevin is a nice guy, but ultimately cared about getting paid for time rather than work, if that makes sense. In short, we paid him well (more than the rate we had been quoted over the phone), but he couldn't diagnose the problem with our HVAC unit and help us. We had to hire a second HVAC contractor to get the job done, which ended up being super simple. More detail, in case it's helpful to others: Kevin spent almost 3 hours trying to figure out why our Mitsubishi mini-split wasn't listening to our Nest thermostat and turning on. Kevin charged us $325 (the $150 diagnostic visit fee we had been quoted by Lily over the phone, plus an unexpected $150 for one hour of labor time, plus tax), saying he was "90% sure" we needed to replace the control board. Kevin expressed to us that "a licensed Mitsubishi technician" would need to troubleshoot our unit with Mitsubishi on the phone to definitively determine the problem. He said the call "would take hours." Turns out the issue was super simple and would've been caught through basic troubleshooting! We had another HVAC contractor come, and in 10 minutes he discovered the issue was a dirty drain pan.
