I recently moved back to Washington after the loss of my seven year old daughter. I needed a new nail salon to call home because unlike where I was living in LA, there aren't many shops who do XL nails. I was referred by family members to visit Michelle. I wish I would've known about the double booking she does because I would've been able to save money and not waste my time. I took my youngest daughter and younger sister to Michelle after I saw her a few times assuming it was "safe". I booked an appointment for 2 full sets and a pedi then also booked for my 5 year old to get a pedi and have her hands and feet painted. We were getting matching butterfly sets. That were to be an ode to my oldest daughter receiving her wings 5 months ago.. I noticed Michelle take 2 customers while at the pedicure station with my daughter. TOTALLY skipping over my sister. I asked when she would get to her seeing as we had an event to attend where our nails were to be shown off at, she assured me she would see her next. Now my pedicure is over and she has an issue with doing my nails and asked me to have another tech do them. I declined because I only know Michelle's work to be upto par with the nail techs I usually go to. She then tells me she has another client to see. TOTALLY double booking AGAIN. She finally plops down in her chair obviously frustrated at the fact I did not want to use her nail tech telling me "we do just alike" (which isn't true at all). I show her my pic & she then proceeds to put on tips that were incorrect in shape and length! When I asked her about it she claimed to not have XL tips but she just put them on me the prior set! Instead of arguing with her or calling her a liar I just asked her to take the tips off and give me my bill. Seeing as I was paying for everyone to have matching butterfly nails & was the only one walking out without a set on, I was BEYOND upset. I paid wat I owed. Sat in my car crying at how I felt so robbed waiting for my sister to get nails done that I paid for and would be the only one at MY dead daughters event without butterfly nails to pay respects to her with. This is my first ever review because I don't write reviews but I have never been treated so poorly by someone, especially as fragile as I am. ALL BECAUSE THEY DOUBLE BOOKED THEIR APPOINTMENTS!! My family goes to her and like her work. That's why I went there. I will never set foot back in there again after that tho personally. She ruined what was supposed to be a good day to celebrate. I went home got in the bed and cried to sleep that night! Woke up and made an appointment with @nailedbydejah who is about 2 miles away from this shop & does FANTASTIC work for about 10$ more. It's worth the extra money to have a nail tech whose work is ALWAYS non rushed & takes their time but also one who cares about you and your nails. Who does not want to cram in as many customers as they can a day & not care who what when or why u need your nails to be a certain way. Atleast use soap when ur cleaning ur pedicure stations. They use WATER and that's it! Better HOPE you brought sandals because they won't give u any of their cheap throwaway sandals unless u ask them 3 times! Wont put any of the blue solution in your pedi unless u ask them to! You can tell everything they do is to try to jip the customer in some way! So disappointed read more
