I walked into Q nail spa thinking I'd get simple, plain, gel nails since the previous reviews didn't sound promising, and my expectations were exceeded. While my nails were being cleaned, I noticed another girl near me getting a fancy design, so I decided to ask if someone could give me the aura nail design I've been wanting. I was pretty nervous to ask since the lady working on my nails wasn't super chatty. I'm glad I went for it. The young man who welcomed me into the spa ended up taking over my nails after the they were prepped and he did a great job. I'm so happy with how they turned out. I've gotten a ton of compliments. The salon itself was nice and was actually recommended to me. I got a pedicure and Full-Set. I live in Maryland and had SNS dip powder on my nails. When I walked in I asked to have my nails soaked off because I have powder on and to have a full set as I noticed they did not have dip powder (first mistake was to stay and get my nails done). My pedicure was amazing water could've been hotter but other wise awesome :). If it was just for the Pedi this would be a five star review. The issue started when the second nail tech comes and started digging and cutting my nails. Mind you I asked to have them soaked off, or more than one occasion. Yet, she persisted to go old school and get a nail and dig it under the powered to get off. If that's how I wanted them off I could've pull them off at home! She then cut all my nails shorter which was fine, however in the process split both of my pinkie nail in half vertically (center of my nail bed) to the point that one was bleeding and the other hurt to the touch. She then states that my nails are weak and that's why, yet had we soaked them "per request" that wouldn't have been an issue. Over all I was disappointed in my nails. The shape was probably the best part of the process until I walked outside and saw the paint job in natural light. Moral of the story stick to what you know. Luckily I don't have to go back. Most people get their nails done to relax and she made the whole process nerve racking because I was enjoying my pedi while she was hacking at my nails. read more

This was my first time trying this salon and it'll be the last time I go there. So disappointed in every aspect. I asked for square and some are a lot more narrow than others, some are really thick and they're uneven... including the paint. I had a nail that was lifting so it needed to be replaced... when I went to pay she told me it was $40. I had to ask why it was so much and she said "well because you had a broken nail and that was $5 more." Okay? But what about the other $35? The prices on the board obviously aren't accurate, they state it's $17 for a fill which comes out to $22 for the fill and the broken nail... I did get gel/shellac whatever you want to call it, which would mean I was charged $18 JUST for that... I'm sorry, what?! I suppose I'm just used to nail salons telling me what I'm going to be charged before the fact OR having correct pricing on the board. My nails look like trash and I'm out $40. Such a bummer. What a terrible nail salon. The only thing they have going for them is their younger employees. Normally I post picture however this was such a terrible service I couldn't even show it. Got a pedicure this morning and literally 12 hours later I was in my shower using my own pumice stone! I am a routine nail customer and I know nail fashion at a high level. The First Lady who did my nails had my natural nails with acrylic over lay looking like a kindergartner painted and stacked acrylic on then. They were so lumpy and crooked I refused to let her finish. This sweet girl Ann tried to help she did finish with a good job however my entire nail polish has rubbed off, it is so think and sticky that 12 hours later with sitting under the polish dryer 10 minutes, plus spaying with insta dry in addition to drying carefully on my own they are absolutely hideous. It is times like this I wish I could cancel my payment for FAILED SERVICE rendered. Be aware when coming here. read more

I have had my eyelashes done at several local salons always having one issue or another, I had almost given up on them all together because it was not only a an expensive disappointment but extremely frustrating as well. I happened to come across Q nails and had my nails done exquisitely here (I am a VERY picky person when it comes to my nails as well) and they always looked wonderful and lasted at least 3 weeks before I need a fill (this is a tough thing when your a bartender and consistently in water and very rough on your nails) and never breaking. I went in for my fill and noticed they happened to do lashes as well, although I had just had a very disappointing set put in that day from a lash only salon that cost $150 for the set. So I let that set go and a month later came here for a new set. Not only was it very affordable ($80) this is the best they have ever turned out and most comfortable experience that I even fell asleep while having them applied! I'm 2.5 weeks into them and haven't had any poking or tugging as they have grown out and haven't shed nearly as many as I did with other sets. I recommend this place hands down to ANYONE who has struggled in the past with lash extensions. Usually I end up with bright red burning sensations 1-2 days after all the other applications (thought it may be a slight allergic reaction, but hey beauty is pain!) and there was absolutely zero irritation with this set. They really know how to do their extensions here! I would recommend any service they offer except eyebrow waxing if you like the super thin (yes I'm stuck in the 90's when it comes to that) they won't make them thin enough, but other than that I love it here read more

This is a very spacious and clean space. All the ladies are very kind and accommodating, I felt very welcome and attended to there. I got a gel manicure and it was PRIME. My nails were shaped the same and were painted with care. Though there was no hand massage which was a bummer haha.
