I don't get pedicures that much so when I do I wanna walk away with my feet feeing pampered and smooth and smelling good and my toes looking nice...you get NONE of that from this place! First time I've ever been there and I have gone to many diff nail salons around downtown Puyallup and on south hill, very picky and trying to find a place I'll consistently like but due to the convenience of today, canyon road was close by. I went with my mom and best friend and made an appointment at 3 pm. There were about 4 or 5 employees and every single one of them were helping someone and we asked if we should come another time and the promised we would be out of there by 4:30. My mom and I got seated relatively soon for a pedicure but my friend waited until I was completely done with my pedicure before anyone got to her at all, so a good 45 minutes. Then my mom got charged $7 more for having "her nails cleaned" from deciding to switch from shellac gel nails to acrylic nails because her nails were too short so she decided to get acrylic but had to get charged more for it even though they only trimmed her nails a bit. My mom and friend also mentioned how there was a nail or two that was crooked and they were trying to convince them it wasn't or it didn't look like it was to them. But who would be the one looking at the nails once they left the building? Who is paying for the service? Anyways, we left a little past 5 pm and it was clear throughout the whole time that they were talking about different people in the store as well in a different language. I would consider going back for the pedicure since its $20 whereas most places it's $25, but that's about it and would make sure I don't have anything planned two hours past the time I set an appointment. read more

I called for an appointment, was on time and had a short wait still. When I let the gal know I would like to be done by a certain time, plenty of time to finish my full set and pedicure so she rushed through it and did not spend anytime on the pedicure really. Less than 2 days later I have nails chipping and lifting. One even fell off after 3 days. So I called and went back to get it fixed. When I got there she only fixed the one that is was broken and did not fix the others. Well, she put some glue on them.. And the shape is different from my original set. Ahhh... OK? I made an appointment for a mans pedicure and made it for 9am. I was there and come a little after 9 the first employee showed up and opened the door. She looked at me as I got out my vehicle parked right at the door. I informed here I was the 9am appointment and asked if she wanted me to wait a couple minutes before coming in. It was obviously a language barrier but I understood wait a few minutes. She then waved me in so I walked in and we started. She couldn't speak or understand basic English so it was very difficult to understand anything she said. The pedicure went well. Not the greatest but still good. I usually only go to this place but will try to find a new one now. I was rushed through my $40 pedicure, and left with super rough feet. I was next to my sister and noticed the lady working on hers spent a lot of time, at least 5 minutes, scrubbing for callus removal, the lady working on mine took about a minute with the grater and the hard scrubber. When I asked if she could spend more time scrubbing because my heels still felt rough she said no. I complained and said my feet are really rough still, she did nothing. I'm 7 months pregnant and can't bend over easily to do this myself which is why I came here. I will not be back after the treatment. read more

This is my go-to place for mani/pedi's!! I tried a few places in the south hill area. I usually stop on the way home from work (weekday evenings 6ish). They usually have 5-6 people working and busy but they're really good about getting customers moving and sat. I've never waited more than 10 minutes. They also do cute designs on the big toe or fingernails. And they're willing to do designs if you bring a picture for an example. I highly recommend this place!! read more

I was a walk in on Saturday and they got me in could have been a little quicker to start soaking my toes and got a mani/pedi . They took their time even though they were busy. The women were easy to understand and understood me when I asked a question which is super important and impressive for a nail salon around here. I truly love going here! I have been going to this nail salon on and off for 11 years. The same women are there, same owners and they are absolutely delightful. They speak English more than any other nail salon I've gone to and they are ALWAYS in great spirits! I can't believe I haven't reviewed them before, I love this place. They make time for you, give you REAL time estimates lol Not the typical "15 minute" estimate when it's really 25. I've NEVER had a bad mani or pedi here. My favorite things about this spot is they always check on the water temperature, never have you sitting in it too long. The first is right in the parking lot of where I work, I got a full set there, but was not totally impressed. Nothing really bad, I'm just super picky about my nails. Canyon nails happens to be right around the corner from where on living, so based on the reviews, I decided to give them a try. It's tiny inside there,, but the ladies are friendly. I'm so happy with my nails, as I didn't have to file them again after I left. This very rarely happens. The lady who did no my nails was very quiet, and hard to understand, but she did a great job. Christine did my nails and was very nice. I called on a Sunday and they got me in pretty quickly and I only waited a couple of minutes. Color selection wasn't the best that I have seen and I have a very slight bump in one of my nails but it is not noticeable at all unless you feel it. I Walked in and waited maybe 5 mins before I got in a chair. Mia did an excellent mani & pedi, taking her time to clean the cuticles on my hands and cuticles and dead skin my feet throughly. Then she finished with a great paint job. No bare spaces on the sides. I'll definitely be back every time I visit! Only negative was that the polish selection was just okay.. I had called an made an appointment for 5 of us, it was the day before my wedding, had my daughter in laws, bridesmaid and friend. I don't know the name of the women who was doing my nails but I will say she never gave up, she made sure my nails were acceptable. The same with the women who did my toes. I got dip nails because they were supposed to last longer but mine were chipping a week later. The only complaint I have is it felt like we were being rushed through which is the reason for 3 stars. They waited till I was sitting down with the shellac colors, feet in the water, to tell me it cost 15 dollars extra for shellac. making it a 45 dollar pedicure. (30$ plus 15$) I have never paid more than 30 for a pedicure with shellac so I didn't think to ask when I saw the 30$ price tag. On top of this, They filed my nails crooked, painted the shellac wayyy too thick, argued with me about it, and then refused to acknowledge it. I would not recommend this place to my friends or family and will not be coming back in. read more

I dislike how much they continue to ask for a tip. I tip anywhere I go but when they are persistent about it. It makes me feel like I shouldnt tip. As well when I said I didn't want to leave unless my nails were dry due to the fact that I've continues Togo back because my nails smudge and they continue to tell me they are dry. Well they weren't. I have gone to Canyon Nails for the last 10 years. It is not the closest nail salon to my home, and even when I lived in Olympia I would drive to Puyallup to get my nails done there. Their pedicures NEVER chip. I have had every pedicure I have ever gotten there until my nails literally grew out. They are amazing. Their prices are very good and they do awesome nail art of you like a little flower or other decoration on your toe. They also offer a great scrub, exfoliation and warm lotion massage with their pedi's in their standard price. Beyond the quality of their work, the ladies who run the shop are always super nice and actually take the time to get to know you and remember your face/name for the next time you come in. They can get a little busy - but consider the reason..THEY ARE THE BEST! And well worth the wait. :) read more
